For my Wife - I love you.

Run Away With Me

Her wedding robes were beautiful. They hung by the door, teasing her with their perfection. She should be excited today, and yet she felt nothing but fear and nausea. This was all wrong.

The robes were too perfect.

The venue, too perfect.

The groom, too perfect.

She didn't want him. She didn't love him. She didn't even like him.

Lucius was her in male form, and she'd never been narcissistic enough to want to marry herself.

A single tear fell onto her cheek.

Perfect wasn't what she craved.

"I dreamt of you last night," he whispered against her ear.

She giggled, his breath tickling her skin. "I hope you didn't call out my name. That would have been awkward, no?"

"Since I was laying beside your sister, I think it would have been less awkward, and more deadly in all honesty," he admitted ruely.

Shrugging, Narcissa grinned. "You could always stop behaving badly, Rodolphus."

He shook his head. "Never. You know you're my addiction, my drug of choice. I'll never give you up."

"Narcissa, have you dressed yet?"

Her mother's shrill voice stung her ears, and she cringed. "Not yet, Mother. I'm almost ready."

She'd never been less ready for anything in her life.

"Well hurry up," Druella demanded. "It would not do for you to be late."

Narcissa snorted quietly. It wasn't like they could start without her, was it? She looked to the dress robes again, sighing.

They really were everything she'd ever dreamed of. Too bad they were tainted with the wedding she'd never asked for.

"I wish things had been different," she whispered against his warm skin. "I wish I'd been the first born, so you could have married me instead of her."

Rodolphus stroked her bare arm, pressing a kiss to her temple. "I know."

"They're forcing me to marry Lucius."

"Do you want me to kill him? I'd do it, for you. You know I would."

"You can't. Then I wouldn't have you at all," she murmured. "At least this way, I can still see you."

He chuckled. "Leave it to me, baby. You won't have to marry him, I promise."

She looked stunning. She admired herself for a moment, wishing that this was for someone else, wishing that it wasn't Lucius waiting for her at the alter.

"You are… mesmerising."

She spun so fast, she almost cricked her neck. Rodolphus was staring at her, his eyes wide, his mouth open; love and lust sparkling in his eyes.

"You can't be here," she whispered, even as she took a step towards him, her hand outstretched. He took it, pulling her the remaining distance to her place in his arms.

"I promised you wouldn't have to marry him, did I not?"

She gasped. "Rod… what did you do?"

"We don't have a lot of time," he muttered. "I'm getting you away from here. Away from him. You can't marry him, Narcissa."

"I don't have a choice."

"Run away with me. Right now, just… let's go."

"You mean it?"

"The only other thing I could think of was murder," he admitted. "By my wand, or poison, or narcotics, or…"

"I get it," she interrupted, chuckling despite herself. "You'd really abandon your life, for me?"

"Narcissa… I'd abandon the world if it meant I could keep you by my side. What do you say? Run away with me?"

"Yes."
