Okay, so before the story starts I've been looking through the reviews I have and I have to say you guys are all amazing and there was a guest who was like her reaction to her parents was too mild. And I have to say, I actually agree. I've gone back and read through it and it just like, 'eh'. When I finish this, I'm going to go back and take a look through it.

I really appreciate your advice and if anyone has anymore feel free to let me know.

Now enjoy!

Headmistress' Office

Scotland

Aletha perched carefully on the stool opposite Headmistress McGonagall. McGonagall sat staring blanking at her as if trying to understand why the hat had said what it said the previous night.

"Miss Granger, this is an extremely perculiar case." McGonagall starts slowly, braking the awkward silence between teacher and student. "Now, as I feel it would be in your best interest to remain in Gryffindor, that is my suggestion but the hat has given you the choice and you mustn't think lightly."

Aletha listened carefully as to not offend the Headmistress in any way. She had thought of a solution but the fact that the woman may not accept it was making her tread lightly.

"Headmistress, with all due respect, I feel I can not pick a house." She started out softly. "Each house represents a certain side to me and picking one would be like cutting off the other sides."

"So what is your solution Miss Granger?"

"Perhaps, maybe I could be apart of all the houses? Just hear me out before you reject my idea." Aletha smiles gently at the woman her perfectly straight white teeth seeming to sparkle. "Now, I have no idea who was to be made head girl and boy this year, but if it was me, why not give the heads their own dorms?"

"Miss Granger that is preposterous!" McGonagall's voice strikes out.

"Not particularly Headmistress. If you think about it, I would no longer have to stay in a specific house dormitory plus I would already know the password for every common room. I would be able to get in and spend my time in whichever I want." Aletha continues. "Plus, I would only need the house insignia on my robes."

"Then what about points Miss Granger? Surely all those points you earn should go somewhere?" The taunt woman asks, not backing down from the questioning.

"Well, I suppose, you could perhaps enchant another hourglass to carry points that I earn and at the end of the year it could be split between the four houses?"

"We shall see Miss Granger. For now go back to Gryffindor and I shall get back to you."

Aletha nodded and left the office and set out for the library to research something, anything that would interest her.

Hogwart's Library

"Shut up Malfoy!" Aletha screeches as Draco laughs at her face, redder than Ronald Weasley's hair. "I hate you! You're nothing but a ferret!"

Her eyes began to water as she realises it was no longer just about Malfoy, but the fact that it was not true.

"Don't push your luck Granger." His voice hisses. "You never know when something might go wrong."

He was mad. Granger had never spoken to him like that before. She'd cop the blow and move on. But something was different. She was no longer the innocent Gryffindor princess. Over the summer holidays something had happened to her. Something she didn't want to tell anybody.

Aletha watched as Draco seemed to mime his laugh, but in reality he was laughing too much. She watched the confused expression come over his face and watch his eyes suddenly glance at her curiously.

"I'm sorry."

"Excuse me?" Aletha's voice comes out as if she cannot believe him.

"I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said that." Draco's voice comes out, almost forced.

"Don't lie to me Malfoy. You hate me. I'm just the Gryffindor Mudblood. No Slytherin likes me."

"I'm not lying Granger. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have said it. And I shouldn't have threatened you." He says, his voice now exasperated.

Aletha begins to pack up her stuff. She shoves all of her books back into her bag and magically sends the rest away to their shelves.

"Goodbye Malfoy. Hope to see you never."

With that Aletha picked up her bag and exited through the double doors. She walked down the halls towards the great hall, but thought better and made a turn towards the kitchen. There was no way she was going to face Harry, Ron or McGonagall.

Hogwart's Kitchen

Scotland

Ticking the pear she grimaced as it let out a loud laugh. Looking down the corridor she watched for any sign of someone before climbing into the portrait hole.

She walked a few steps and entered the kitchen. Elves hurried around, preparing for the meal that would take place in only a few minutes.

"Eek!" A voice makes out as a small female elf lands her eyes on Aletha.

"There is a young miss! I be Trivvy. How may Trivvy help you?" The aged elf scrambled forward eager to serve Aletha.

Aletha took a step back in shock but it seemed to send the wrong message to Trivvy.

"Trivvy is sorry miss. Bad Trivvy. Trivvy has scared the young miss." Trivvy began to hit her hand into her head.

"No. No. No. Trivvy. It's alright. You didn't scare me. Please don't hit yourself." Aletha steps foward. "I was just a bit shocked you noticed me so quickly."

"Trivvy is sorry miss. How my she help? Would young miss like something to eat?" The house elf, no longer hitting herself asked almost eagerly.

"Yes Trivvy. That would be lovely. I was thinking about taking a picnic down to the black lake, do you think that you could give me some food in a basket?" Aletha asks kindly.

"Oh yes. Young miss will wait here and Trivvy will bring you some food." Trivvy scattered away towards the food and began picking out different delights.

The witch watched the house elves magic the food away to the four long tables sitting in the great hall. She spent so long watching them that she missed Trivvy scampering back up to her holding a picnic basket.

"Here. Young miss. Trivvy hopes she enjoys." Trivvy shoves the basket into Aletha's open grip.

"Thank you Trivvy. I will enjoy myself. Would you like me to bring the basket back?" She smiled kindly at the elf.

"No. No. No. Trivvy will retrieve it from your dorm room."

With that Trivvy scattered off to help the rest of the elves.
