How Things Seemed Chapt. 2
"Zepp Tokyo"

::Flashback::Shuichi::

"What is he doing here?" Shuichi whispers inside his heart.
"Did you think I would miss this?" Yuki smiles and Shuichi shakes his head from the vision. It was only in his heart, the real Yuki in the background was bitter and cold, uncaring.
What he had meant for these people, the concert, to beat ASK, it was all turning quickly to canceld plans.
Shuichi pleads with his own heart to gather the strength to sing, his voice wanting to come out yet the darkness of the hall playing with his emotions.
What in the hell was Yuki doing there?
From the back of the hall, a voice became clear.
"Imamo todukaru, hikari no yukue asayaka ni mau omoi o egakao..."
* * * ::Flashback::Ryuichi::

Barely back in Tokyo, I met Sakano-kun with Kei and the first thing he wanted us to do was go and see one of his newest bands, ASK. Of course, I wanted to do anything that he wanted!
So off we went to Zepp Tokyo to see the first concert of ASK and with me calling Sakano-kun Mr. President! But before ASK performed, another band was supposed to be warming up the audience...Bad Luck. Or as I prefer to say..."Baddu Luku desu!!!!!!!! ::big chibi-ish grin::" The point is, I wanted to see this alleged band whose lead singer wanted my sexy body... ::meow:: I just love gay guys! ^^
Demo...::smiles::
The poor little guy was shaking in his little black oh-so-sexy boots, I could see it even from where I sat way in the back. From everything I had heard, this kid had what it takes to make it out here.so what was he doing, lost in himself like that?
I turned in my seat to scan the back of the room, and what do my eyes behold but Eiri-san.
Suddenly, what was plaguing the young singer became painfully obvious. I sighed, remembering a time when my Sakano was similarly infatuated with the novelist, not a novalist then, and all the pain he had caused. Well, I wasn't going to let him wreck this for Bad Luck, who had climbed so hard to reach what they were today, even if it was only an opening for another, more famous, band.

::Flashback::Shuichi::

My eyes were torn from Yuki as I searched for the origin of those haunting words. Who could it be singing like that, for it was surely not Ryuichi himself who was currently in America. But.my gaze lit on his green hair and his flashing eyes, his approach of the stage maddeningly slow.

Thump.

My heart beat harshly against my chest. Here was the object of my desire, set so close in front of me. Tantalizing.and he was singing, serenading me alone, it seemed.

Thump.

Another heartbeat, growing stronger each thud, the sight of my idol in front of me.His lips slowly forming the words to one of their more famous songs, turning it from a dance mix to a ballad.

Thump.

My heart against my chest, and my fingers were trembling against the microphone as he ascended the stairs on the side of the stage, his eyes locked with mine. Is this what it meant

Thump.

to be lost

Thump.

in someone else's

Thump.

existence?

Thump.

::Flashback::Ryuichi::

As I climbed the steps of the stage, I could feel Shuichi's outpouring of emotion like it was striking the center of my heart. What is one to do in a situation like that? After all, who was this but an upstart kid who looked up at me with stars in his eyes? What was that feeling coursing through me?
Abruptly, I ran out of words to sing, and the spell was broken; the screams of the crowd crowded in my head and I turned away from Shuichi grinning like a hound.
"My koohai here was just a little nervous!" I began. The crowd tittered appropriately. "I think you should give him the chance he deserves and listen to his song!"
They cheered again, and I nodded at Shuichi. He seemed to suddenly remember the mic in his hands, and nodded at the other member of Bad Luck. The opening guitar rifts played and we both sank into the words, him knowing them through hours of memorization, and I. By heart.
