MONTHS EARLIER
[Play music: Kenny Loggins - I'm Alright]
It all began at the beginning of summer. Patrick Pines was in his bed when sunlight entered his room and shined on his face. He woke up before the alarm clock went off. He usually wouldn't have one set, especially since it was summer vacation, but today was a big day.
Getting up and putting on his clothes, shoes, and hat, Patrick grabbed his duffle bag and backpack. Heading down to the kitchen, he had breakfast with his parents and then gathered the rest of his belongings for the long trip he was about to take. But first, there was one stop on the way.
About thirty minutes later, his family's car pulled up to another house, and the family stepped out. Patrick was about to ring the doorbell when Mabel opened the door and ran at him before jumping onto him, knocking him over on his back as she hugged him. Dipper then approached them with a much calmer tone. Carrying a duffle bag in each hand with his backpack on. Patrick lifted the girl off him and set her on her feet. She giggled and stepped back to stand next to her twin. Patrick got up and dusted himself off. He then smiled and ruffled their heads, making the two kids laugh, and then hugged them.
The next moment we see them standing together at the bus stop. When the bus arrived, the three climbed on board and began their journey. It took many hours, with the twins and Pines spending much of that catching up with each other, playing games, and doing anything to keep their minds occupied as they entered into the state of Oregan.
However, it wasn't long before their destination and a particular small town started to come into view.
Gravity Falls was a sleepy-looking town right in front of two imposing cliffs that stood adjacent. Surrounded by a seemingly endless forest of pine trees. Both cliffs towered high over the town's valley and were oddly formed as if something had cleaved straight through the middle of them. Making it look like the cliff tops were floating. On the right cliff was a large waterfall that flowed down into a large, pristine lake fed by a twisting river that snaked through the valley.
As the bus entered Gravity Falls, Patrick and the twins scanned the town with curious eyes as they passed by the shops and diners before exiting out of the little town, for its destination was not the town itself. The bus traveled further up a winding dirt road that led up to its actual destination.
The Speedy Beaver bus came to a stop in a circular dirt parking lot. Its doors swung open, and the three passengers on board stepped off the bus, carrying their duffle bags and backpacks.
After getting off, the bus turned around and drove away from the parking lot. Now alone, Patrick and the twins turned around and looked at where they were dropped off. A large, dilapidated cabin in the woods called the Mystery Shack. They know that was because of the massive sign on the roof and their parents told them about the shack.
"So, this is it?" asked Patrick, looking at the crumbling, tacky cabin with a raised eyebrow.
"This is where the address said to go, and the bus driver seemed to know about the place," said Dipper on his left.
"I think it looks like a lot of fun!" Mabel said cheerfully.
A second later, the 'S' on the sign fell off.
"And ready to fall apart," Dipper said with a frown.
"Well, we better see if anyone's home," Patrick said, frowning also. He and the two kids gathered their things and started walking towards the front door.
The kids were halfway to the door when they saw a person walking out onto the patio with a broom. The man started sweeping the porch while whistling to himself with his eyes closed. Patrick gestured for the kids to wait behind him before walking over to talk to the man.
"Uh, excuse me, sir?" He called out to the overweight man, getting his attention.
"Oh, s'up dog?" Soos said with a friendly wave and smile. "I'm sorry, but the Mystery Shack isn't open yet."
The twins looked at one another with confused looks as Patrick was also puzzled by that. "Uh, no. We're looking for our Great Uncle Stanford Pines," he clarified to the man.
The man gasped and dropped the broom to put his hands on his cheeks. "You're Mr. Pines' family? This is awesome!"
Dipper and Mabel walked up to stand next to Patrick. "You know our great uncle?" Dipper asked.
"Or as I like to call him, our 'Grunkle?'" Mabel said with a winkle, making Patrick smile and roll his eyes.
"Heck yeah. I've been working for your uncle since I was twelve," Soos said, spreading out his arms.
"Uh, what?" Patrick asked, hoping he heard him wrong.
"Oh, sorry. I almost forgot," Soos said, walking down to them and holding out his hand for a handshake. "I'm Soos."
"Patrick. Nice to meet you," the teenager said, shaking the friendly man's hand. He then pointed to his cousins, who waved at the man-child. "And these two are my twin cousins, Dipper and Mabel."
"So, where is our Grunkle Stanford," Dipper asked with a raised eyebrow.
"He's likely getting ready for today. Summer's when we get a lot of tourists. Come on in." Soos said, gesturing for them to follow him inside. Patrick and the twins gathered their things and quickly got inside.
The kids walked into the house, into what looked like a gift shop. "You dudes wait here, and I'll go get your uncle," Soos said, before walking through the 'employees only door'. Leaving the three alone in the shop.
Patrick looked around at all the items for sale, and some made him raise an eyebrow. Like a bobblehead that cost $50? "Who in their right mind would buy this crap?" He asked no one in particular.
"That's part of the mystery, dude," said a new voice.
Now, Patrick wasn't a true believer of love at first sight. That was more of Mabel's thing, as she could be very boy crazy. Especially for her age. But when he laid eyes on the owner of the voice for the first time, he believed he was looking at the most beautiful girl he ever saw, and his heart skipped a beat.
Wendy was leaning back in a chair behind the cashier's counter with a magazine to read and her feet up on the counter. "Hey, man," she said, waving at him. Giving him a laid-back look and a relaxed smile. "I like your lid."
"U-Uh, hi. Thank you. I-It's ah, it's nothing," Patrick said nervously. Trying to think of something to start a conversation with the pretty girl, Patrick noticed her lumberjack hat. "I-I uh...I like your hat too."
"Thanks," she said, moving it up her head slightly before closing her magazine. "So, what did Soos mean by your uncle?"
"W-Well, he's actually our Great Uncle Stanford," Patrick said as Mabel and Dipper walked up to join in on the conversation.
"And this is our first time getting to meet him!" Mabel shouted with excitement, throwing her hands in the air with a big grin.
"Not to mention we'll be sending the whole summer here," Dipper said with a smile as Patrick nodded. It was strange that his parents or uncle and aunt never told them about Stanford. They just announced that they had a great uncle and sent them to spend their vacation with a man they never knew. But Patrick figured that if his parents were okay with it, then it was fine.
"Sweet! Well, allow me to introduce myself," the girl said, before walking around the counter and holding out her hand. Patrick shook it as she greeted them. "The name's Wendy Corduroy, and welcome to the Mystery Shack, where the real mystery is why you even came."
Patrick pulled his hand away from Wendy as he laughed a little. "Wait, what?"
"Sorry, that's just something Stan makes me say to customers," Wendy said, blushing a little with embarrassment, and she rubbed her arm.
"Well, I'm Patrick Pines, and these are my cousins, Dipper and Mabel," Patrick said, introducing his cousins to the beautiful redhead.
"Hello!" Mabel shouted and waved her hand.
"Hey," Dipper said, waving his hand. "So, do you work for Grunkle Stanford?"
"Well, it's only for the summer," Wendy said with a calm smile as she leaned against the counter. "It beats having to move up north to work at my cousin's logging cabin."
"Hey! HEY! What the hell's going on here?!" yelled a gruff old man's voice. The newcomers turned towards the employee's door and were greeted by their scowling Great Uncle 'Stanford'. "Wendy, why aren't you behind the counter? I'm not paying you to flirt with the customers!" yelled Stan.
"W-W-We're not...hehehe, we're not flirting," Patrick said nervously, blushing with embarrassment.
"And what are these kids doing in here?!" Stan yelled, pointing at Patrick and his cousins."The Mystery Shack isn't open. Get lost!"
Soos came in and tried to explain what was going on. "Uh, Mr. Pines…"
Patrick was about to talk when Mabel interrupted the both of them. No longer able to contain her excitement. "Oh, it's so good to finally meet you!" Mabel exclaimed with excitement. Running up to her uncle with a big smile. Stopping in front of him as he looked at her with a look of apprehension. "My name's Mabel!" She walked back over to Patrick and Dipper, placing a hand on them. "And this is my twin brother Dipper and our awesome cousin Patrick. But you already knew that!"
There was a moment of silence as the man looked at the kids with a puzzled expression. "I-I don't know what's going on. Are you three with the tour group?" He asked.
Mabel's bright smile dropped down. Now she was just as confused as the boys with her. "Wait, aren't you Stanford Pines?" Dipper asked.
"Yeah, why do you ask?" Stan looked at them accusingly. Then he pointed his cane at them accusingly, and he narrowed his eyes at them. "Who do you work for? Are you with the IRS!?"
Wendy rolled her eyes before looking at her magazine. "No. We're your grand-nephews and grand-niece, Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel," Patrick said, frowning as he pushed the cane away.
Again, Stan looked blankly at them.
"Come on, you know us, right? Veronica is my grandmother. And these two are your brother Shermy's grandkids," Patrick said after pointing to himself and the twins.
Again, Stan didn't look like he comprehended.
"Oh my God. Our parents sent us here to spend the entire summer with you!" Patrick yelled, throwing his arms up in the air. "They notified you two months ago, and you agreed to it."
"Wait, they were serious about that? I thought that was just an April Fools joke," Stan said, finally realizing what was going.
It didn't help that they sent the message on April Fool's Day of all days.
"Well, we're here now with all our stuff," Dipper said.
"And ready for an awesome summer!" Mabel boomed with excitement.
Stan let out a loud sigh in annoyance. This was not what he needed. He had a business to run, and having a bunch of kids running around is just going to make it hard for him to make a profit. Not to mention his little secret going on in the basement.
"I've got to make a phone call," he said before turning and walking back into the other room.
"He seems nice," Mabel commented.
And that was how their first day of summer began.
WEIRDER THINGS
Weirdmaggedon Part 3:
Take Back the Falls
Now, months later, as Weirdmaggedon threatened to tear the world apart, Patrick kicked the door to the Mystery Shack open, and the Mystery Team rushed in screaming. "Yaaahh!"
But when they ran in, they weren't expecting what they saw.
"Yaaaahhhh!" yelled Stan, Veronica, the Guardians of Obsolete Formats, Celestabellebethabelle, Chutzpar, Bats Biker, Woodpecker guy, Candy, Grenda, Sheriff Blubs, Pacifica Northwest, Old Man McGucket, and some Gnomes. All ready to fight to the last man.
When they found out who was in the shack, Patrick and the twins stared at their two eldest family members in shock. "Wait," Patrick said.
"Grunkle Stan/Grandma!" Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel chorused as they threw down their weapons and rushed towards them with tears in their eyes.
"Kids!" Stan and Veronica exclaimed, tossing his baseball bat to the side and slinging her rifle on her back. The two cousins opened their arms and took them into a big family hug.
"My babies! You're all back!" Veronica cried, peppering Patrick's head with kisses as she hugged him.
"I can't believe it!" Stan exclaimed, hugging the twins tightly. "I thought I lost you three!" Suddenly, Soos ran up to him and enveloped both Stan and Veronica in a hug.
"Mr. Pines! It's really you!" He exclaimed happily, holding them much more tightly. "I've been hugging strangers to practice for this moment."
Wendy followed their lead and slammed into Veronica for a hug. "We missed you, you old codgers!" She cried.
"I've missed you knuckleheads, too." Stan chuckled as they all let go. Waddles ran happily around their feet. "It's good to have you back."
Patrick and Wendy held hands as his grandmother turned towards the cousins. "So what happened inside of the bubble? And why is your hat on backwards?" Veronica pointed confusingly at Dipper's hat, which was still on backwards.
"Lot's of weird things," Dipper said, twisting the hat back around. "So...what's everyone doing here?" He gasped as some Lilliputtians ran past him. Reminding him of the less-than-pleasant time at the golf course.
"Yeah there's like monsters and gnomes, and is Pacifica wearing a potato sack?" Mabel asked, pointing to the blonde girl.
The once richest girl in Gravity Falls was reduced to wearing a potato sack that she remade into a makeshift dress. Pacifica sighed and rubbed her arm. "It's been a rough week…"
"It's...it's a long story," said Multi-Bear, sporting an eye patch on one of his heads as another one gnawed on it's own arm.
"Hey, is anyone gonna feed me?" asked the head of Wax Larry King from within the vents. "Larry King's disembodied wax head wants num-nums."
"We're trying to ration our food, remember?" Grenada reminded him. However, Wax Larry King wasn't about to be deterred and started chewing on her ponytail, grossing out the big girl. "Uhhh...it's happening again," she said uncomfortably. Luckily Multi-bear closed the vents.
"Hey, everyone!" Pituitaur yelled, looking out the door as an eyeball bat flew around. "Eye-bat!"
Everyone gasped in fear as a gnome cried out, "Evasive maneuvers!"
Stan rushed over to the door and quickly slammed it shut. "Veronica, take it down!" He ordered, grabbing the twins and Patrick as the refugees scattered. "Shhh, keep it down. Hit the lights!"
Veronica grabbed her M4A1 off her back and rushed up the stairs. Reaching the cousins' bedroom, she looked out the window to see the eyeball bat turning a scampering raccoon into stone. As it started to fly off with its catch, the former agent aimed and shot it down. Hitting it directly in the back and killing it.
"Okay, the coast is clear," she called down to the others. She walked down the stairs a moment later as Stan lit a match and threw it across the room. It landed into a trash can and started a fire that illuminated the entire room.
"Welcome to what's left of normal around here," Stan said. "Home base."
Inside the living room of the Mystery Shack, there were lanterns, cardboard mattresses, and boarded up windows. And scattered all over the room were everyone that survived Weirdmaggedon. All of them bruised, bandaged, and battered. Some had a part of their bodies turned to stone. Like a unicorn that had the left side of their body turned. The woodpecker guy was there two. His bird wife turned to stone on his shoulder.
Toby Determined was lying on his back as a gnome pulled a dart out of him. "Ow!"
Even Sev'ral Timez were a mess, with arrows in their arms and crutches to carry themselves around. "We have…" Greggy C. began and the rest of the band sang with him.
"Several injuries!" They sang, before having to clutch their injuries in pain. "Oh, ow…"
"Ow, my liver, girl!" Chubby Z. said.
Patrick raised an eyebrow at them and turned around, only to see Betamax, Reel-to-Reel, and Floppy Disk among the hurt and injured. "Guardians of Obsolete Formats?" He asked worriedly.
"We've tried with all our might to defeat Cipher, but his steaming chaotic powers were too much for us," Floppy Disk explained.
"We lost a good friend." Betamax held up two items. Both were two halves of a broken laserdisc. It was enough to let the cousins know that the librarian was dead.
"Grunkle Stan, how'd this all happen?" asked Mabel.
Patrick and the twins followed Stan as he started walking. "So I was hammering signs out back when the sky started vomiting nightmares. I listen to a lot of AM radio so I knew what this meant: the end of the world. What I didn't expect was what happened next. Turns out whatever you and my brother did to the shack with your unicorn voodoo made the crazy place invincible to weirdness."
Dipper's eyes widened in realization. "Of course, the unicorn spell."
"That's right," Veronica said, walking over to them after tending to Pacifica's injuries. "That's why we set up the base here. It's the only place Bill's magic can't touch."
Stan then gestured to Old Man McGucket, who was working on his laptop. "That's when my cuz and Possum Breath over here shows up leading a bunch of injured stragglers through the forest. They needed a place to stay and since the mayor got captured, I elected myself de facto chief," he said, showing the red sash on his torn suit. The conman then grabbed a can of brown meat from the shelf behind him. "The plan's to stay in here and eat Brown Meat until we run out, then I vote we eat the gnomes."
"Hey! I'm short, not deaf!" Jeff shouted angrily.
Stan covered his mouth with his finger, shushing him. "Shh! Shh! Stress will make you chewy."
"And I'm telling you, that's not happening," Veronica said with a stern frown. "We can't all just hide inside the Shack. There's a town in need of saving. Now that we have the kids, we can figure out how to save Ford from Bill."
"Yeah? Well serve that jerk right! My brother's had some stupid plans, but going up against an all-powerful space demon was his worst one yet." Stan remarked, opening the can of Brown Meat and walked past them. He sat down on a wooden lounge chair surrounded by the Multi-Bear and gnomes. "Trust me, we have everything we need right here. It's not the Ritz but at least the monsters inside know how to massage. You know Shiatsu?" He asked the bear, who was massaging him.
"Yes, I've taken some classes," said Multi-Bear as Patrick and the twins walked up to Stan angrily.
"I can't fucking believe you!" Patrick yelled. "So you're really just gonna let Bill win? Oh my God, it feels great to cuss again."
"Look, kiddo. We got a good deal here. Besides, I'm sure wherever the rest of the townsfolk are, they're fine." He slammed his hand down on the armrest, accidentally hitting the remote and turning on the TV.
Everyone turned to the TV as it showed Shandra Jimenez nervously reporting. "This is Shandra Jimenez reporting live from the inside of Bill's castle." She said, having somehow managed to sneak into the castle. "Here for the first time are images of what's happened to the captured townsfolk. Viewers are advised to look away if they don't want to see their friends turned into a twisted throne of human agony."
The camera panned over to the throne. Everyone in the cabin stared at the TV screen. It was a heart wrenching scene. They saw the teens, Pacifica's family, Wendy's family, and everyone they knew and loved frozen with fearful and pained expressions permanently stuck on their faces.
"Mom and Dad?" Pacifica whimpered.
"My family!" Wendy cried.
"Deputy Durland!" Sheriff Blubs shouted.
"Is there no one who will save the people of this town? I'm Shandra Jimenez and I'm being turned into stone by a flying eyeball." And with that, her body was turned to stone with a look of terror on her face. The last thing to be uttered from her mouth was a choking breath before the TV turned to static.
Everyone gasps in horror.
"Pacifica?" Dipper asked the blonde girl, walking over her. He was then surprised when she hugged him.
"My parents are bad, Dipper, but even they don't deserve to be turned to stone," she said, trying not to cry as the boy hugged her back. That was debatable, but Dipper kept his mouth shut.
"Curse you, Bill!" Blubs dropped down on his knees and slammed his fist on the floor. "Why must you take everything we love!?" He sobbed heavily, ripping his shirt open.
At that moment, all hope seems lost for everyone, except for a certain three kids.
"It's not over yet!" They all turned around and saw Patrick walking in front of the Multi-Bear. "Everyone, listen up! We've done this before. Twice, Bill has tried to destroy us and twice he's failed. That's because we banned together and figured out how to beat him," he said, putting his hands together. "We can't fall apart now."
Climbing on top of the Multi-Bear, Mabel joined in with her cousin. "Patrick's right! Guys, don't you see? Our friends need us, but we can only save them if we fight back." She reached down and pulled Dipper up after her. Hand in hand, they supported each other, looking down at the others.
"Bill wants us to run and hide. He wants us to think he's invincible. But Ford told me before he was captured that he knows Bill's secret weakness," Dipper explained. The refugees perked up and started muttering to each other.
"Weakness?" Wendy asked.
"That's right, a weakness," Patrick said with a look of determination. He scanned the room, looking at each and every one of the townsfolk. "When I first came to Gravity Falls, I honestly wasn't expecting much from this town. I mean, at face value, it's just a little town in the middle of nowhere. What's there to find? And I certainly never believed in Minotaurs, unicorns, gnomes, or even demons. But here you all are now, together with a common enemy. Bill's underestimated us before, and it's because of that, we were able to beat him. Now, if we band together, if we combine all of our strength, our smarts, our...whatever Toby has…"
"Various rashes!"
"...then we just might be able to take back what is ours. We just might be able to rescue Ford, learn Bill's weakness, save Gravity Falls and our world!" Patrick declared, raising his fist in the air. The entire room filled with the cheers of everyone in the room. Their hope was restored and all ready to fight Bill and take back their future. Except for one.
"Whoa! Whoa! Whoa!" Stan exclaimed, waving his arms around. He pushed Patrick aside and stood in front of the people. "Have you all forgotten who's in charge here?"
"Did you not hear?" Reel-to-Reel asked Stan. "Our world is doomed. Without your brother, Bill will destroy us. His Henchmaniacs will kill everyone on this planet. We must take the fight to him!"
"But we're only safe inside!" Stan insisted. "It's not like we can take the Mystery Shack to Bill."
"I hate to say it, but Stan's right," Veronica said. "I only made one belt for Patrick. There's not enough unicorn hair to make more."
"And I'm not giving any of you my hair, so don't even ask me!" Celestabellebethabelle exclaimed.
"Well, I think that Patrick should be the one that decides what we do," said Mabel, turning to her cousin. Patrick looked at her in confusion.
"Why me?" He asked.
"Father Time was the one that created you to stop Bill, right?"
"No, he created me to get you four out of the bubble."
"And so we can stop Bill," Mabel said as her brother walked over and nodded. Both of them looked up at their cousin with smiles. "And it's not just that. You've been like our team leader ever since the beginning of summer. So if anyone should lead us, it's you."
Patrick's eyes widened. Could he really do that? Lead the survivors in the final fight against Bill? Looking around, he saw the townsfolk and even the creatures looking at him with confident smiles. They were all counting on his leadership to get them through this. At that moment, he knew that it had to be him.
"Wha-Whoa! Holy hootenany! Flapjack and fiddlebanjos!" Everyone in the cabin turned to Fiddleford, who was dancing around for a moment. "Sorry, Sorry. Got a little excited." His foot thumped loudly on the floor before he slapped his knee to get it to stop. "What I meant to say is I think I figured out a way to fight Bill and rescue Ford. But we're all gonna have to work together."
Veronica walked up to her grandson and placed a hand on his shoulder. "This shack is all we have left," she said, wanting Patrick to be absolutely sure about what they were going to do. "Do you really trust Ford that much?"
Patrick looked down for a moment. Even if Ford played favorites with Dipper and lied to them about the rift, he still had the solution to stopping Bill. Not to mention that he was still his uncle, and no matter what, Pines stick together.
"We'll find Ford, and we'll bring him back," he said with determination. Patrick turned to Fiddleford, and nodded. "Alright, what's your plan?" He asked.
McGucket snapped his fingers and a gnome jumped up and placed his glasses on his face. He then gathered everyone around in a circle.
"Now. You just…" He began to explain his plan to everyone. Well, almost everyone.
As he stood off to the side, Stan glanced at his sash with a sour look on his face. His mood grew even worse when his handyman exclaimed, "Don't worry, Ford! We're coming for you!"
Within the nightmarish halls of the Fearamid, the moment Ford was unfroze from his golden state, he yelled with fury, "Let me go, you insane three-sided-! Wha-What is this place?"
He looked around at his surroundings in confusion. It looked like the private study of his arch-enemy. It had furniture that appeared to have been stitched together, a fireplace with a portrait of Bill wearing a crown hanging over the mantle, a demonic grandfather clock, a grand piano, and a sizable eye-shaped window. All the walls were visibly slanted and met at the center of the ceiling.
Ford tried to investigate his new surroundings, but he found that to be impossible. His leg was held back by something hard. Looking down, the author saw that it was a shackle made of blue energy that was chaining him to the floor.
He pulled at the chain until he heard a piano playing. He turned to see Bill rising out of the floor, playing on the piano and singing. "We'll meet again. Don't know where, don't know when. Oh, I know we'll meet again some sunny day."
"Wh-where am I?" Ford demanded, glaring at the demon that haunted his dreams.
"You're in the penthouse suite, kid! The tip of the pyramid. Have a drink," he said, picking up a martini glass that was sitting on the piano. Bill snapped his fingers and a martini glass appeared in Ford's hand. "Make yourself comfortable."
Figuring he wasn't going to be leaving anytime soon and knowing that Bill wanted to talk to him, Ford sat down on the couch that was pulled over to him. With his eyelids turning into lips, Bill took a sip of his drink.
"You know that couch is made from living human skin?" He asked. Ford looked down and his eyes widened in horror when the couch groaned as eyes, a nose, and a mouth appeared.
"Aaah!" Ford yelled, jumping up from the couch. He turned his head to glare at Bill. "Quit the games, Cipher! If I'm still alive you must want something from me."
"Ah, sharp as ever, Fordsy. As you may have noticed...I've recently had a multi-dimensional makeover," Bill said, floating to be in front of his portrait. His voice echoed as he spun around to show off his three dimensional body. His voice stopped echoing as he used his powers to make everything float off the ground. "I control space…" He then rearranges the room's furniture, making everything materialize in different locations. "Matter, and now that that dumb baby's out of the way, time itself!"
Glaring down at his martini, he snapped his fingers and made everything fall to the ground. "But I wasn't always this way. You think those chains are tight? Imagine living in the second dimension," he said, his eye turning black and blue as it showed a planet on a two-dimensional plane. "Flat minds in a flat world with flat dreams."
His eye then showed that world burning. Oh how he remembered that day. Plunging the second dimension into burning chaos, along with everyone he'd ever known, including his own parents. Men, women, children. Everyone from the infants and the elderly all screamed in agony and horror as he killed each and every one of them. Burning them alive until there was nothing left.
And it…was…glorious! Their screaming brought a smile to his nonexistent lips every time he remembered them.
"I liberated my dimension, Stanford, and I'm here to liberate yours. There's just one hitch." Bill's eye projected a blue and white hologram of him pushing against the dome around Gravity Falls. "As it turns out, my weirdness can't escape the magical confines of this town. There's something keeping me in."
Ford's eyes widened as he realized what it was. "Incredible! Gravity Falls natural law of weirdness magnetism. I studied this years ago!"
"And did you find a way to undo it?"
"Of course. There's a simple equation that could collapse the barrier," Ford said, before glaring at Bill and pointing his finger at him. "But I'd never tell you!"
"Listen, Ford, if you just tell me that equation, finally your dimension will be free", Bill said, as his projection showed himself breaking the barrier and growing larger. So large that he was the size of the earth.
"Anything will be possible." He then showed himself lowering down his finger onto a city. Crushing skyscrapers and people. Everyone ran for their lives as Bill dragged his finger around the midwest United States, but they couldn't escape him. They all died painful deaths as he drew a smiley face into the continent.
"I'll remake a fun world- a better world!" Bill then TOOK A BITE OUT OF THE EARTH. Discarding the planet he'd just destroyed, he flew off into the cosmos, flying past his friends, who were destroying other planets. "A party that never ends with a host that never dies! No more restrictions! No more laws!"
His projection then showed Ford, who is standing in the middle of a galaxy with an evil look on his face. "You'd be one of us. All-powerful. Greater than anything you've imagined!" Bill declared, turning off the projection. "And all I need is your help."
"You're insane if you think I'll help you," Ford snapped.
"Ha ha ha! I'm insane either way, brainiac!" Bill laughed as he lowered down to the couch made of living human skin. "But have it your way. I'll just fish around and get that equation directly out of your mind!" The demon entered the mental realm. His real body turned to stone.
"Not so fast! You know the rules, Bill," Ford said with a smirk. Bill's eye narrowed as he entered back into his body. "You may be able to haunt my dreams but you can't enter my mind unless I shake your hand and let you in."
Bill sighed exasperatedly. "You're making this so much harder than it needs to be," he said, as blue energy chained Ford's legs and neck. The author struggled to break free of the shackle as he was lifted off the ground and brought over to Bill. "Everyone has a weakness, tough guy! I'll make you talk! It's only a matter of time."
Ford screamed in agony as his torture began.
Back at the Mystery Shack, the Pines gathered around the table as McGucket came over with some blueprints. They now had a plan and it was time to make preparation for it. "Alright," McGucket said, laying out the blueprints on the table. "I've made some thingamadiculous robomajigs in my day, but this is the first one that won't be used for evil."
Patrick and the twins looked at the blueprints and smiled in amazement. "Whoa! These blueprints are incredible, McGucket," Dipper chirped.
"This is your most amazing invention yet," said Mabel excitedly and Patrick nodded in agreement.
"Question, does it have any gun-swords?" Soos asked McGucket. "I watch a lot of anime and, uh, trust me, you're gonna want some gun-swords."
"What's an 'anime'?" McGucket asked.
"We have much to discuss."
"Discuss nothing!" Stan shouted from across the table. He grabbed the blueprints and examined them. "These scribbles are a bunch of cockamamie balderdash! Excuse my French."
"Je ne sais quoi sacrebleu au revoir!" said the French lilliputtian.
Subtitled: "I don't believe that was French."
"And where would you even find a bunch of idiots who would be crazy enough to build it?" Stan continued his complaining.
[Play music: Halo Combat Evolve OST - Brothers in Arms]
"Grunkle Stan, you're looking at those idiots!" Mabel declared and everyone cheered.
"Idiots!" Soos cheered.
Veronica looked at the blueprints and sighed. "This is either the best decision you've made or the worst. Either way, Patrick. I'll be going with you," she said with a supportive smile.
And so began the long process of turning the Mystery Shack into a lean, mean, fighting machine to take on the forces of Bill and his Henchmaniacs. The plan was simple. An all-out assault to take out the demons and lure out Bill into a fight. While the Shack holds him off, a small team led by Patrick, Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Veronica, Soos, Wendy, Pacifica, and Blubs will infiltrate the Fearamid and rescue Ford and townsfolk.
With the plan set, they quickly got to work rebuilding the Shack. Sneaking into the junkyard, they took almost everything from it, including some of McGucket's old inventions. With the parts, construction began and everyone pinched in, including Pacifica, who had Dipper teach her how to use a hammer. Even though Stan didn't want them to, the group removed everything nonessential out of the shack. Once that was done, they cut holes into the shack and removed the triangular wall of the cousins' room.
Wendy taught everyone how to fight, while Grenda tested one of the arms for the robot. Punching a tree and taking it down in one strike. For the other arm, they were going to need something else. So, they went down into the abandoned mines and started digging out the Tyrannosaurus Rex frozen in the amber.
All while that was going on, Soos showed McGucket all the best mecha anime while the old inventor nodded and took notes.
With everything read, they started putting all the parts together. But Patrick knew that they would need extra help to fight back against the demon. So, working on his own little project, Patrick grabbed one of the laser tag vests from the laser tag arcade place. The main modification was inserting one of the size-changing crystals into it. Once it was planted inside, and had the ability to change back and forth from big to small, he closed the chest part up.
Once they had completed the robot, a new flag flew over the Mystery Shack. On it was a golden hand with six fingers, an ax, pickaxe, and crowbar crossing each other, and a red question mark on top of it. Two tiny pine trees sat on the left and right of the hand, and underneath it was Mabel's shooting star. On it, it said "Take Back the Falls".
Down below the flag, the survivors set up a campfire outside the shack. It was well-barricaded to protect them from the demons outside and to prevent them from seeing the fire. Out of the kindness of her heart, Mabel knitted every one of the refugees a sweater.
[End song]
"Thanks for these apocalypse sweaters, Mabel," Soos said, wearing a yellow sweater with a pick tiger on it. Next to him sat Patrick and Wendy, who was wearing a green sweater with an ax. "The end of the world has never been so comfortable."
Some of the refugees nodded and hummed in agreement. However, not everyone was wearing a sweater. Pacifica was the most noticeable one, as she was shivering in the wind. She noticed Mabel giving her a stern look. "Uh! Fine, I'll wear it," she groaned. Reaching into Mabel's backpack, she put on the llama sweater. "But I'm not gonna like it."
"I think you look cute," Dipper muttered to himself. However, he didn't say it quietly enough and Pacifica heard him. The two looked at one another with big blushes on their faces. "I mean…yeah, it looks cute on you…not that you didn't look cute before, you're beautiful. No! Wait, I…I'm going to shut up now."
"Thanks, Dipper," Pacifica said, blushing as she looked away.
"Admit it," Mabel said, walking over to sit next to her brother. "This is the best day of the end of the world. I think we actually have a chance to beat Bill and win back our future."
"Yeah. Getting to actually live to see our 13th birthday party is the only birthday present I want right now," Dipper said somberly.
"Hey, if we're lucky enough to get there, I guarantee this whole town is gonna throw you the best birthday party you've ever seen," Soos said, trying to cheer the boy up.
"Thanks, Soos," Dipper said with a chuckle.
"Don't worry. We'll make it through this," Patrick said, trying to cheer up not only his cousin, but also reassure himself. Everything was riding on their success. He turned towards his grandmother and noticed that someone wasn't with them. "Hey, has anyone seen Grunkle Stan?"
Veronica looked around, but didn't see him. That was until she spotted him out of the barrier they made. "Come on, we better go get him," she said, standing up and walking towards him. The Pines cousins got up and followed her.
When she approached her cousin, she found him talking to one of the gnomes.
"Stan, what are you doing out here?" She asked.
"This whole plan is batshit insane, Veronica," He said, looking down at the ground with a frown and his arms crossed. "But of course, no one asked the chief what he thinks. After all I've done for everyone!"
"Shmebulock!" Shmebulock said.
"Yeah, exactly, it's a total load of Shmebulock," Stan agreed.
"Stan, he's not agreeing with you. That's literally the only thing he's able to say," Veronica said, picking up the gnome and setting him on her lap as she sat down. The gnome curled up and started sleeping as the kids walked over to them.
"Is something wrong, Grunkle Stan? You're acting grunklier than usual," Mabel said.
"It's this goddamn plan to save my brother," he said, gesturing to a chalkboard that read: 'OBJECTIVE: SAVE FORD' with a drawing of Ford on it. "If you didn't notice, I already saved him once from that portal, and he never thanked me! He causes the end of the world, and somehow it's still always 'Stan's the screw-up. Ford's the hero.'"
"Stan, no one thinks that you're a screw-up," Patrick said.
"Well maybe people think Ford's a hero because he didn't want to hide in the Mystery Shack!" Dipper snapped.
"Well maybe if he hid in the Mystery Shack, he wouldn't have been captured!" Stan shot back, punching the chalkboard.
"Guys! Guys!" Mabel cut in before the fight escalated any further and brought them into a hug. "Trust me; tomorrow's gonna be great! I believe in us."
"Help! Leader Mabel!" yelled Chutzpar, getting her attention. "I keep accidentally flexing through my sweater." He flexed his muscles and ripped his sweater entirely. "Augh! It happened again!"
"Those weird cow-monsters are delightful! Coming!" Mabel ran over, taking Dipper and Patrick with her. Leaving Veronica with her cousin, who was still pouting.
"Mabel's right," Veronica said, standing up with a stern tone in her voice. "You're going to suck it up, because like it or not, you're coming with us to save your brother from that crazy demon."
"But why does it have to be Ford that we need?" Stan complained. "You know what's gonna help when we get to him? He's gonna just ignore our existence once again, play favorites with the kids, and just act like he's the big shot!"
Veronica sighed sadly. She knew there was still a lot of pent-up anger inside of Stan against his brother. "Stanley," she said, using his full first name. "I know that Ford's hurt you in the past, but you've hurt him too. But remember, he called you that day 30 years ago because he needed your help. To prevent this from coming. Whatever happened in the past doesn't matter. Ford's is your brother. And he needs your help once again."
After that, she walked away, leaving Stan to contemplate her words.
Meanwhile, Patrick walked over to the group at the campfire. "Lights out, everyone. I want everyone to be rested for tomorrow," he told them.
Everyone nodded and put out the fire before walking towards the tents they pitched earlier. Patrick was walking towards his tent when he noticed someone walking next to him. It was Wendy who grabbed his hand and held it.
"Mind if I…sleep with you?" She asked nervously.
Patrick was a little surprised by this, but nodded nonetheless. "Sure."
Walking over to his tent, Patrick opened it, and the two crawled inside. Lying on the floor was a white mattress that was old, stained, and dirty. A sage green blanket was on top of the mattress and a lantern hanging over them.
"Not bad," Wendy commented, crawling onto the bed and taking off her shoes.
"It was the best I could do," Patrick said, taking off his sweater and shoes. "Considering that it's the apocalypse."
Wendy nodded, slipping off her pants. Now she was just in her white tank top and underwear. Patrick was still in his pants but had removed his red shirt. He crawled into bed with her, pulling her into his arms before pulling the blanket over them. Wendy snuggled up to him.
"This is nice," she whispered, opening her eyes and looking at his chest. "Just you and me, alone, cuddling up on an old, stinky mattress."
Once again fighting against her hormones. She could still feel it. When she placed her small hand on Patrick's chest, Wendy could still feel and hear his beating heart. That same heart that the redhead lumberjack girl fell for was still beating strong and confidently. She rubbed his chest until Patrick's larger, rougher feeling hand reached down and gently held her's.
"Would you have it any other way?"
Wendy smiled softly. "No. This is perfect. Even if…it might be the last night we spent together," Wendy said, pressing her face against his.
"It wouldn't," he told her. "We'll make it, Wendy."
Wendy's smile grew bigger as her eyes watered up a bit. "You sound so confident. So sure of yourself. How are you not scared?"
"Who said I'm not?" Patrick asked, trying to sound cool. "Our only hope to stop Bill is to go straight into the heart of Weirdmaggedon. I've failed once. I'm not going to fail this time."
Wendy looked up at him with a concerned look. "How have you failed?"
Patrick sighed sadly. "I should have done more to keep Dipper and Mabel together. Done more to stop everything from going wrong. I've failed to keep them safe," he said, his words filled with the guilt he's felt. But then he looked into his girlfriend's eyes with determination. "I will not fail again. Not them. Not all of them. And especially not you, Wendy."
Feeling Wendy's hand slip out of his grasp, he looked down and saw her moving it to have both hands facing each other and then lacing their fingers together. Wendy looked at her boyfriend with a sense of reinvigorated hope.
"Patrick, you're the coolest boyfriend ever," she informed him, telling him the same thing he told her as she inched her face closer to his.
Patrick smirked happily. "I know, babe. Tell me about it later."
The two pulled into one another and pressed their lips together in a short, sweet kiss. "We can fix this, Patrick. Together," she said, pressing her forehead against his.
"Together." Patrick nodded.
Again, they pulled into each other. This time, Patrick and Wendy engaged in an intense, passionate make-out session. Wendy moaned in his mouth as she wrapped her arm around the back of his neck, and Patrick wrapped his arms around her. They both pressed their bodies against each other, with Wendy moaning loudly as they grabbed each other, tangling her hands in his hair.
They continued kissing for what felt like hours, but they didn't stop until exhaustion took them to sleep.
The sound of giant Gompers bleating awoke Patrick. He sat up and rubbed his face, before looking down at Wendy. She woke up when he sat up and did the same. Realizing that it was morning, the two looked at one another.
"You ready?" She asked.
"Nope." Patrick then took a deep breath and exhaled. "Alright, let's do this."
They both got dressed, gathered their weapons, and walked outside their tents and into the barren wasteland. They walked over to the Shack, and crawled over the sheet covering it. When they walked into his and the twins' bedroom, Patrick was wearing his modified laser tag vest over his sweater and shirt.
Everyone was gathered in the bedroom, which was turned into the central command area. The walls were brought down, and doors were removed to give room for all the weapon systems, and connect it to the engine room. Pipes ran all over the plan, containing different wires to various locations.
They all turned to him as Patrick walked up to the front of the room. All eyes were on him. All were waiting for him to lead them into battle.
"Everyone ready," he asked with a determined look. "We all ready to go, McGucket?
"All set, Patrick! Let's hope this turns out better than my other inventions," the old inventor stated.
"Hold on now," said Veronica. She walked up to her grandson and reached into her backpack. To Patrick's surprise, she pulled out his boonie hat, which was blown off his head during the beginning of Weirdmaggedon. "You wouldn't want to go without your hat, now would you?"
Patrick took the hat and looked at it for a moment. Looking at his grandmother, he smiled and nodded, before turning to everyone. "This is it, everyone. Today's the day Bill gets kicked off his throne. All of us had suffered. Lost friends and loved ones. But today, we'll get them back. One final effort is all that remains. We might be the only ones left to stop him, but we will not go down without a fight."
"We're behind you, dude. All the way," said Soos.
Patrick's face brightened up when he heard that. He then put the hat on his head and adjusted it to fit nicely and snuggly.
"Dipper, now!" He ordered.
Dipper pulled a lever down, causing the wheels and gears beside them to turn. This caused the large tarp concealing them to be pulled up from the ground. The refugees were tossed side-to-side inside the Shack as the invention stood up.
"Quick! Stabilize this thing!" Veronica ordered. Dipper rushed over to the wheel and turned it right and left. Trying to stabilize the shack as a loud whistle came from the exhaust pipe outside. Once it had stopped moving, the orange glow of the rift could be seen through the glass, as they were now towering over the burnt and destroyed landscape. "Alright, everyone, action station!"
Several of the humans and monsters broke off to get to their station. Once there, they started operating the shack together and made it begin walking forward. As they walked over the land, they passed by what little remained of the townsfolk, including Bud Gleeful, who was burning Gideon's hyper-flamable merchandise to stay warm.
Walking out of the town's ruins, they marched onward toward the Fearamid.
"No! No! Noooo! AAAGGGHH!" Ford screamed as his burnt body was hit with another blast of Bill's magic. When the demon stopped, Ford went limp in the chains holding him up and spat out some blood in his mouth. For the past 12 hours, his body was subject to every kind of torture that Bill's twisted mind could think of. All to get the information on how to leave Gravity Falls out of him. But he wouldn't tell Bill. However, he wasn't sure how much longer he could keep it up.
"Ready to talk now?" Bill asked, surrounded by all his friends.
Gasping for breath, Ford struggled to speak at first. "I won't…I won't let you into my mind," he said bravely.
"What do you think, pals? Another 500 volts?" Bill was interrupted when the Fearamid started trembling. "Hey, do you hear that?"
All of a sudden, the robot's t-rex head crashed through the Fearamid's front door and roared, frightening the other demons. It pulled out, revealing the Mystery Shack's sign to Bill and his Henchmaniacs.
"What?! I just fixed that door!" Bill yelled as he saw the complete robot.
The Mystery Shack was turned into a giant robot with parts composed of several objects they used in its construction. Its main body was formed from Mystery Shack, and the shack's totem pole was attached to act as a cannon, while its waist area houses the remains of the Universe Portal. On its back, the head and neck of the Gobblewonker robot raised up, acting as its tail. Its left arm contained the preserved Tyrannosaurus Rex with its free head as its hand, and its right arm contained a three-fingered clasper with Manly Dan's logging truck as the forearm. It had the right leg of the Gideon-bot and power line poles for its left leg. Soos' pick-up truck was attached to the left leg as the foot. The sign for Gravity Falls was shown on its left leg joint, and a billboard for Li'l Gideon was seen on the right leg joint.
On the house's porch stood Patrick and Soos, who held the Take Back the Falls flag, topped with Wax Larry King's head.
"It's the Shacktron, dude!" Soos yelled, holding up the flag proudly.
Wax Larry King commented, "They made the house into a robot. Fascinating!"
Patrick held in his laugh for a moment before turning to the Fearamid. He glared up at the hole they had just made. "It's over, Bill! Come on out and face us, you coward!"
"So the mortals are trying to fight back, huh?" Bill questioned. "Adorable! Henchmaniacs, you know what to do!" He used his powers to make them grow much larger than what they were. Their colors darkened, with glowing red eyes. "Take them out!"
Bill's minions laughed as they jumped out of the Fearamid to land in front of the Mystery Shack. This was it. This is what the refugees were looking for. Now all they had to do was beat the demons before they dealt with Bill.
"This was a bad idea," said Stan.
On the porch, Patrick stood firm and tall against the demons that were glaring at him and the shack. On the other hand, Soos pulled out a microphone and started speaking into it. "Uh, hey, dudes. Is this thing on? Test," he said, causing the feedback to screech loudly. The loud noise made Bill's minions cover their ears.
"Give me that!" Patrick snatched the microphone away from Soos and started walking into it. "Alright, demons minions of Bill. This is your one chance to hand over Ford and walk away. You can put a stop to all of this. Just walk away, and we will spare your lives…" he stopped when Soos started chuckling. "What?"
"Sorry, but he's a little cutie," Soos said, pointing to one of the minions.
The demon he was referring to was Paci-Fire, who had a creepy dark-grey baby with enormous black horns, a pink bull-like nose, glowing red eyes, a somewhat scrunched face, small dark grey lips, and a black tail. It also had a second face on its torso with light red eyes and red pupils sucking a titular red pacifier on a chain. Paci-Fire also had a gold cross on its massive forehead with a diamond-shaped eye similar to Bill's at its center and a red aura around its body.
"I have butchered millions on countless moons," Paci-Fire said in a deep voice.
Soos and Patrick stared at the demon with wide eyes. "Whoa. I liked you better before you talked," Soos said, glancing at Patrick.
"Yell, when he wasn't talking about genocide," Patrick added uncomfortably
"ATTACK!" Pyronica yelled. The Henchmaniacs wasted no time and rushed towards the Shacktron.
"Soos, get inside!" Patrick ordered, walking towards the edge of the porch. Soos was about to rush back inside with the flag when he paused.
"What are you doing, dude?" He asked.
"Evening the odds."
Patrick jumped off the porch and fell to the ground. As he fell, he activated his vest, and a bright aura covered his body. The demons all stopped and watched as Patrick's body grew bigger until he was the size of the Shacktron.
When Patrick landed, he was kneeling on one knee before he stood. Ready to fight, Patrick held up his arms and punched his right fist into his left palm. "Everyone! Like we planned!" Patrick yelled with a big grin on his face. "Three, two, one. Go!"
The demons rushed towards them again, but the Shacktron and Patrick were ready for them. The robot punched Paci-Fire in the face, while Patrick did the same with Kryptos.
Looking up, Patrick Pyronica rushed towards him. She jumped and swung her flaming leg at him. Patrick ducked down and dodged the kick, but the demoness wasn't through and tried to launch herself at him. Pulling out his now-massive crowbar, Patrick swung and slammed it into the side of her head. Sending her flying away.
"OW!" Patrick yelled when he felt something bite his leg. He looked down and saw it was Teeth. He hit him with his crowbar, getting him to let go and breaking some of his teeth.
The Shacktron kicked Keyhole away when Paci-Fire summoned more Eyeball Bats to attack.
"Guys, use the cannon!" Patrick said, pulling out his blaster, and started shooting down some of the eye-bats. Inside the Shacktron, Mabel used Waddles, whose mouth was on the handle of a lever, and pulled him down. This caused the totem pole to tilt over and began firing at the flying eyeballs. However, some managed to get through the barrage and swarm around the shack.
McGucket operated the Gobblewonker's head on top of the Shacktron, grabbing an eye bat in its mouth. Wendy and the remainder of the Guardians of Obsolete Formats climbed onto the hoof of the shack to help out.
"Boomer-Reel!" Reel-to-Reel yelled, throwing tape yo-yos at some of the eyeball bats.
"RGB-BEAM!" Betamax yelled, vaporizing some of the bats in his beam.
"Random Access Mayhem!" Floppy Disk yelled, throwing floppy disks into the bats and killing them.
Wendy noticed one of the Eye-Bats heading for the inside of the shack. "Oh, no, you don't!" She yelled, jumping onto the eye bat and pulling its wings. Seeing Patrick about to fight 8 Ball, she pulled again, causing the bat to shoot out its red beam and turning the minion's head to stone. Patrick looked at her and nodded, which she returned. Wendy then jumped off the eye-bat and through the shack's window and somersaulted onto the floor.
"Veronica, tell Patrick to watch out!" Multi-Bear exclaimed.
Veronica looked and saw something that made her gasp. Grabbing the microphone, she yelled into it. "Patrick, behind you!"
Patrick turned around just in time before Zanthar rammed into his giant form and started pushing him back. Knocking his weapons out of his hands. He growled and quickly gripped the monster's back to keep himself from falling back, then planted his feet into the ground as he was shoved across the earth. He nearly lost balance when he ran right through a building.
Eventually, he was able to stop moving and tried pushing Zanthar back. But seeing that he wasn't going to be pushed back, Patrick had another idea. Grabbing his arms, Patrick let out a mighty roar and threw him into the air. The party hat he wore fell off as the purple bread minion was sent flying miles away. Well over the other side of a hill.
The Shacktron walked over to Patrick with his weapons and gave them back. Once Patrick put them away, he and Shacktron celebrated with a high-five, all while Teeth ran away on fire, screaming. But as Patrick shrank back down and climbed into the shack, Bill watched in great annoyance.
"Guys, seriously? You had, like, one job to do here," Bill said while rubbing his eye. Behind him, Ford was lowered down onto the armrest of the throne.
"Bravo, Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel!" Having seen the battle, Ford cheered and felt so proud for all of his nephews and niece.
However, this didn't go unnoticed by Bill, whose eye widened in realization.
"Well, would you look at that? Those kids really care about you. And you care about them," He said. His head and every small brick of his body turned over to face Ford. Bill lowered himself down towards Ford while his eye turned red and his split pupil turned white. "Don't you?"
"What are you..." Ford paused as the horrifying realization hit him. "Oh. Oh no."
"Perhaps torturing those kids'll make you talk," Bill said, shining a red light down on Bill.
"No. No! Not the kids! You ca-" Ford's begging was halted when Bill turned back into gold.
"Let's get this over with," Bill said, cracking his knuckles.
Inside the Shacktron, Patrick watched as Bill, now a three-dimensional giant and looking angry, crawled out of the hole they made in the Fearamid and flew towards the robot. "This is it, everyone! Brace yourselves!" He yelled as several people turned pale.
Approaching the Shacktron, Bill grew an enlarged fist that was bigger than the shack itself and held it up above his head. First, he adjusted his bow tie like the dick he was, then slammed his fist down on the Shacktron.
The massive explosion created from the attack carried such force that it shook the earth and knocked over any trees still around. Nothing could have survived it, and that's what Bill was counting on when he lifted his fist off the ground. However, he was not expecting to find the Shack perfectly fine. The barrier had protected them. The Shacktron was now standing in a crater with the ground red hot from the impact.
Bill's eye widened in shock. "What the? No!" He yelled, his fist shrinking back to normal size before ten more arms grew out of him. "No! No! No! NO!" Bill started brutally pounding at the Shack with his eye turning red, but all he hit was the force field.
The shack shook all around the rebels on the inside, but they remained unharmed. Stan didn't look too sure about this working, but the others knew otherwise.
"The shield is holding!" Veronica exclaimed. "Grenda, NOW!"
Grenda punched her arm forward with a wicked grin, causing the T-rex head to lunge at Bill with its mouth open. With the strongest bite force of any animal that ever lived, the king of the dinosaur's razor-sharp teeth sank into the eye of the demon overlord, causing an inky black liquid to squirt out from it. The brown-haired girl then yanked her arm back, pulling the eyeball out of his socket. Glowing blue veins attached to the organic were pulled out, before the eyeball was completely ripped out.
"AAH! MY EYE!" Bill screamed in absolute pain as he drifted aimlessly while his legs failed around. The Shacktron simply threw the eyeball away. "Do you have any idea how long it takes to regenerate that?!"
"We've got him distracted," Dipper exclaimed.
"Now's our chance," Patrick exclaimed with a glare of determination. "Rescue team, let's move out!"
Everyone going into hell gathered their weapons and supplies for the drop. Mabel put her grappling hook in her sweater, and Wendy swung her ax around before holstering it in her belt. Soos put the memory-erasing gun in his backpack, and Dipper tested the height-altering crystal flashlight on a Mystery Shack snowglobe. However, it grew too big and shattered on the floor. Veronica loaded her gun, before turning to Patrick and tossing him something. When Patrick caught it, he saw it was the special belt she had made. Smiling, Patrick quickly slipped it on.
Once they were all read, Patrick, Dipper, Mabel, Stan, Veronica, Soos, Wendy, Pacifica, and Sheriff Blubs rushed into the launch chamber. With a parachute on their back, they each got into one of the exit tubes. All of them are ready for their rendezvous with destiny.
"Okay, everyone. We get in, rescue Ford, get out, save the world," Dipper said. "Piece of cake."
"Just so we're clear. If I die, I'm suing all of you," Pacifica said in a joking manner.
However, the only one still not fully committed to the plan was Stan. "Hey, on second thought, maybe we could come up with a plan that doesn't involve us plummeting to our certain death-"
"Too late, Stan! We're dropping into hell, so grow a pair!" Veronica snapped at him before turning to Wendy. "Now!"
Wendy slammed her hand down a button, and they were pulled up out of the tubes. The next thing they knew, they were being shot out of the Gobblewonker's mouth and flying high over Bill's head.
With one hand resting on his hat to keep it from being blown off, Patrick kept his body straight, and the others fell head first towards the Fearamid's opening. Even when Mabel was doing cartwheels through the air, he tried to keep calm.
"WOOHOO! HAHAHA!" she cheered.
Veronica narrowed her eyes, waiting for the perfect moment to open their chutes. Once they were two dozen feet from the opening, she yelled, "NOW! OPEN YOUR CHUTES!"
She and the others pulled their cords and opened their parachutes as they approached the Fearamid. Each parachute was made from every single one of Mabel's sweaters she knitted that summer.
They went through the giant hole, and all landed safely on the ground. Well, except for Stan, who face-planted the ground when he landed.
Standing up, everyone removed their parachutes. However, all of them gasp upon seeing Bill's throne. The sight was more horrifying than what they saw on TV.
"Oh, man. It looks even worse up close," Dipper said when he saw all their faces in contorted horror.
Mabel took out her grappling hook and shot it up onto Manly Dan. She pulled herself up to the throne. "I found Great Uncle Ford!" She called down the others, tossing the grappling hook down. "He's golden. But not in a good way!"
"Great! Grab him and let's get out of here," Stan yelled back as Patrick caught the grappling hook.
"Not so fast. How do we unfreeze the others?" Veronica asked.
"I know!"
Mabel turned towards the familiar voice and was shocked to see none other than Gideon Gleeful himself. Dancing in a dangling birdcage. The young boy wore a dark blue tuxedo with a large purple bow tie with sparkles. Each end of his hair was curled up. He wore a purple sailor hat with a yellow-orange stripe. He wore hot pink shoes that also had sparkles. Underneath his tux, he wore black pants. He had dark pink cheeks and black eyeshadow.
"Gideon!" Mabel cried out. Patrick told her what Gideon did for her cousin to help them get to her. Sure, she didn't like him, but to see him like this was just cruel. "What happened to you?"
As Patrick fired the grappling hook and pulled himself and Dipper up, Gideon continued dancing with a look of absolute exhaustion. "Bill captured me! He's been forcing me to do cute dances in this cage for all eternity," he explained before he started sobbing. "I'm so tired of being cute!"
"How do we undo this?" Dipper asked as Patrick retracted the grappling hook.
"Mayor Tyler," Gideon said, grabbing onto the bars of the cage while continuing to dance. "He's the load-bearing human. Pull him out, and the whole thing goes down."
Patrick nodded and walked over to Tyler. Grabbing his arm, he pulled on the newly elected, causing the local enthusiast to rattle, before returning to normal and breaking free of the throne. This would set off a chain reaction, causing the chair to collapse. As it does, the residents were returned to normal. Deputy Durland hits Gideon's cage, knocking it down and breaking it, freeing Gideon in the process.
Veronica and the others rushed over to everyone after they landed on the ground in front of them in a heap. "Is everyone okay?" She asked, helping Lazy Susan up to her feet.
"Ugh. My mouth tastes like nightmares," her best friend moaned.
Robbie fell down on his head. "Aah! I think I'm dark and tortured for reals now," he groaned as a can of spray paint fell out of his hoodie.
Tad Strange sat up from the pile. "This experience will forever scar Tad Strange," he said with his usual wide smile.
Now free of the cage, Gideon stood up and ripped off his costume, revealing his regular suit under it. "No more SAILOR SUIT!" He shouted, panting heavily at the end.
Wendy looked around for her family until she saw them standing up. Then Manly Dan and his sons saw her, and they ran up to her. "Wendy!" Wendy's father cried. The redhead's eyes leaked tears as she knelt and hugged her brothers, before Dan enveloped them all in a hug.
"Guys!" she sobbed happily.
"Mom! Dad!" Pacifica cried when she spotted her parents.
"DURLAND!" Sheriff Blubs shouted, lowering his glasses for a brief moment in excitement. The officer ran to Durland, knocking over Priscilla and Preston, and scooping up his deputy in his arms.
"My Blubs!" Durland shouted, both of them in tears.
"Don't you ever scare me like that again!" Blub begged, before doing something that he wanted to do for a long time. He pulled his deputy towards him, and the two started kissing. Seeing this, everyone clapped and cheered for the gay couple.
When Ford was unfrozen, he nearly fell over if it weren't for Veronica catching him. "I've got you," she said softly. He looked up at her before grabbing her. Pulling her into a tight hug that almost broke the poor woman.
"Veronica! Oh, thank goodness you're safe! I thought I lost you!" He said happily.
"Yes, yes! I missed you too, but let's not break my back!" She happily begged him, hugging him back.
"Oh, right, sorry," he sheepishly said. Ford then saw the cousins and smiled. Ford snatched them into his arms and hugged them tightly, surprising Patrick. "Kids! Ah, you did it! I knew I could count on you two. Haha!"
Ford stopped, however, when he saw Fiddleford walking up to him. He let go of the kids and stepped towards his old friend somberly. "Fiddleford. I-I haven't seen you since we parted ways. You must hate me," he said, looking down guiltily.
However, that was not the case. "I've tried forgettin'," McGucket said. "Maybe I should try forgiving. Come here, old friend." He hugged the taller man as Ford hugged him back with a small smile.
However, that smile went away when he turned towards Patrick. The teenager frowned at him, and Ford couldn't blame him. Remembering what Veronica told him before all hell broke loose, Ford approached his nephew with a look of shame.
"Patrick, I owe you a huge apology. Not just you, but to your cousins as well. I've been so caught up in protecting the world that I didn't consider your feelings. I was being unfair to you and Mabel when you were only doing what you thought was right," he said, placing one hand on Patrick's shoulder and the other on Mabel's head. "I'm still looking for a new apprentice, so if the three of you ever want to take the offer, I'll be waiting."
Patrick's expression softened before he moved in and hugged his uncle. "I'm just happy you're safe," he said with a smile. Ford smiled and hugged him back.
"Hey, good to see you too, bro," Stan grumbled, ruining the moment. "Now let's get outta here, huh?"
"Listen, Uncle Ford, we don't have a lot of time," Dipper said urgently, glancing out the window and seeing the Shacktron being pushed back by Bill's punches.
"Dipper's right," Patrick said. "Remember how you told him right before you were frozen that you knew Bill's weakness?
"Yeah, a secret way to defeat him?" Mabel added.
Ford placed a hand on his chin. "I-I do!" He exclaimed, pulling out a pair of black gloves and slipping them on. "Now, does anyone have a pen? Pencil? Anything?" He looked around until he spotted Robbie's spray paint can. Ford walked over and grabbed the can. "Ah. Perfect."
Bending down, Ford started spraying the paint onto the ground and walking around. Creating a circle as everyone around him watched in confusion. "Uh, we've got Bill outside, but I don't know how long we can keep him occupied," Dipper reminded him as he made another, smaller circle inside the first one.
The Fearamid trembled, but Ford kept on painting. "Yes, yes. Good, good," he said, drawing lines to divide the ring into smaller sections.
"Drawing a circle on the floor. Well, he's lost his mind," Stan remarked.
"My mind is fine," Ford said as he finished drawing in symbols for each space of the divided ring. "And there is a way to beat him. With this." He presented to everyone a zodiac that Patrick and the twins had only seen briefly throughout the summer. But now they were seeing it up close. It was a ring with different kinds of symbols on them, with a picture of Bill in the middle.
"It just looks like the world's most confusing game of hopscotch," Pacifica said, confused.
"It isn't. It's a prophecy. Although it would be a pretty fun game of hopscotch," Ford commented before he began to explain. "Many years ago I found ten symbols in a cave. Some I recognized then, some I only recognize now. The native people of Gravity Falls prophesied that these symbols could create a force strong enough to vanquish Bill. With Bill defeated, his weirdness would be reversed, and the town could be saved." Everyone listened carefully as Ford looked around at all of them, making eye contact with a select few individuals. "This whole time I thought it was just superstition. But seeing you all here now, I finally understand that it's destiny."
Patrick looked at the zodiac in wonder and astonishment. "How do we activate it?" He asked.
"Certain individuals must be standing on their symbol. Patrick, the crowbar," Ford said, pointing to his oldest nephew. Patrick looked around the ring and soon found his symbol. He walked over to it and stepped on it.
"Dipper, the pine tree." Dipper did the same, stepping on the pine tree symbol that matched the one on his hat.
"Mabel, the shooting star." Mabel eagerly took her place on the ring.
"The question mark. This one's unsolvable," Soos said thoughtfully, before Veronica nudged him playfully.
"Get on there, you!" She laughed. Veronica then spotted the symbol of the Office of Paranormal Investigations. Knowing it was meant for her, she stepped on it.
Taking her example, Wendy pushed Robbie onto the broken heart symbol next to Veronica. "That one's easy. You've been rockin' that dumb hoodie since the seventh grade," she said with a grin.
"Whoa. Destiny hoodie," Robbie gasped, wide-eyed.
"The Tent of Telepathy sign!" Dipper exclaimed, pointing to the symbol in between Robbie and Mabel. "That must be Gideon."
While Mabel wasn't too happy about it, Gideon was cheery as he stood on it. "Whoo! An excuse to stand next to Mabel."
"Don't turn this into a big deal," Mabel complained, rolling her eyes and looking away from him.
"Oh, I won't!" He assured her, before turning away and whispering. "I will."
"I heard that!" Patrick shouted, frightening the little boy.
Outside, Bill was getting his ass handed to him by the Shacktron. He couldn't land a hit on the robot, but it was able to punch him, much to the delight of the two operators Grenda and Candy. He was knocked to the ground and pinned down by the foot of the Shacktron.
Bill tried to push it off, but the shield prevented him from touching the robot. That is until he noticed one of his hands on the leg pinning him down. It was outside of the shield. "What the…" He said, feeling the leg. Realizing he had just found the Shacktron's weakness, he grabbed the leg. "Hey, Achilles!" He pushed the Shacktron on its back. "Nice work with the HEEL!"
Bill ripped off the leg of the robot, making everyone inside it gasp.
"FORE!" Like a game of golf, Bill hit the Shack with the leg, and it rolled away.
Back inside the Fearamid, Ford moved to his spot on the six-fingered hand next to Veronica. "Hold hands, everyone. This is a mystical human energy circuit," he said, holding out his arms. Veronica grabbed his hand as she grabbed Robbie's.
Patrick and Dipper grabbed hands. The teenager looked to his right at the spot beside him, only to see a symbol he didn't understand. "Ice? Who's ice?" Patrick asked.
"The symbols needn't all be literal, Patrick," Ford said. "It just has to be someone cool in the face of danger."
"Wendy! Wendy!" Lee, Nate, Tambry, Thompson chanted the redhead's name. Remembering that 'Ice Bag' was what Bill called her, she chuckled and moved to stand next to her boyfriend.
"Heheh. Shut up, you guys," she playfully said, standing on the ice bag symbol. Smirking at Patrick, she held up her hand. Patrick gladly accepted it.
"Much like the spectacles need to be someone scholarly," Ford explained, gesturing to the glasses symbol next to Dipper. That role would fall upon McGucket, who laughed as he stepped into the ring.
Pacifica moved onto the llama symbol. "This is freaky," she commented, looking at the llama sweater she was wearing.
"Now hold hands, everyone!" Ford ordered.
McGucket held out his hand to Pacifica, which had flies buzzing around it. The blonde grimaced at the sight and smell of it but fought back any complaints she had. It wasn't the time for being her usual spoiled princess self. The world depended on her and the others.
She reached out her hand to him as her parents watched. "Dear God, what is she doing?!" Her mother gasped in horror.
"Doing the one thing no one in our family has ever done," Preston said with a stern expression. However, in his voice, there was a proud tone. "Touching the hillbilly."
Pacifica grabbed onto McGucket's hand. The result was instantaneous.
Patrick nearly jumped as he and the other ten people in the circle glowed. An unseen breeze blew their clothes and hair as the energy flowed from person to person. Thunder rumbled, and smoke circles around the Fearamid.
"Great Uncle Ford! I think it's working!" Dipper exclaimed as McGucket laughed excitedly. All of them watched the zodiac in awe.
"Yes! This is it!" Ford said with a grin. He then turned to the people outside the ring. "The rest of you get out. It's too dangerous!"
The people not in the circle turned and ran away towards the exit, with Tyler jumping on Manly Dan's shoulder as the lumberjack carried him out.
"We just need one more person…" Ford trailed off as he looked at the empty symbol to his left. It was the same symbol that was found on Stan's fez.
Realizing this, Veronica turned towards the window and saw Stan looking out over the town below with his arms crossed. "Stanley! Stanley, get over here. You're the only one left," she explained hurriedly. However, when he didn't respond, she grew concerned. "Stan?"
"You realize this is a bunch of bullshit, right?" He asked, nodding to the Shacktron, now on its last leg, barely standing against Bill's might. "You really think some caveman graffiti is gonna stop that monster?
"Damnit, old man!" Gideon snapped. "Now's not the time!"
"The fuck, Stan!? Come on!" Wendy yelled.
"What are you doing? You're gonna ruin this!" Pacifica spat.
"I've never held hands this long, and I am very uncomfortable," Robbie commented.
"Stan, get your ass over here before I come over there and drag it over here!" Veronica retorted. "If we don't do this now, Bill will win!"
"Whoa. Hey. I'm not the enemy here, people," Stan said, walking over with his hands waving. "Don't forget who literally created the end of the world."
"Stan, now's not the time!" Patrick yelled.
"I'm sorry, Stanley. I know. Just help me fix it. Please." Ford asked desperately, holding out his hand to his brother.
Stan stared down at the gloved hand for a second before looking up at his twin. "Fine. Just do one thing," he told him. "Say 'thank you.'"
"What?"
"You heard. Veronica and I spent thirty years trying to bring you back into this dimension. You have no idea the sacrifices we've had to make, the lies we had to tell, and you still haven't thanked us! You want me to shake your hand? Say 'thank you.'"
Veronica looked at her cousin with wide eyes as Ford's face twisted into disdain. "Do it, Ford," Veronica ordered, making the author look at her with wide eyes.
"But-"
"But nothing!" She snapped, squeezing his hand in a crushing grip that made him wince in pain. "He's right. I helped Stanley during those thirty years, Ford, but I don't care if you thank me. It wasn't my idea to turn back on the machine. It was all his doing. Now DO IT!"
Ford's face turned back into a frown, before he groaned. "Fine. Thank you," he said with apparent distaste. Veronica knew he didn't mean it. He only did it for that moment.
However, Stan took it and begrudgingly grabbed hold of Ford's and Soos' hands. "Now, see. Between me and him, I'm not always the bad twin," he remarked.
"Between 'him and me,'" Ford corrected him, however.
There was a beat of silence as everyone in the ring stared at him in disbelief. "Ford," Veronica said in a threatening tone. "Don't you…"
"Grammar, Stanley."
And that was the final straw.
"I'll 'grammar Stanley' you!" Letting go of Soos' hand, Stan hit Ford in the face, breaking the circuit. "You stuck up son of a bitch!"
Letting go of Veronica's hand, Ford retaliated by hitting Stanley back. "Don't jeopardize this, you idiot!"
"I mean come on!"
"Everything's on the line!"
"Guys, stop it!" Mabel yelled as she, Dipper, and Patrick ran to help Veronica pull them away from one another as they fought and yelled at each other. Breaking the ring altogether.
"STOP IT!" Patrick yelled out loud, pushing Ford and Stan back with all his might and sending the two onto the ground. He panted for a moment as he glared at them while they stared at him in shock. "Goddamnit, you two! This is exactly why everything's gone to shit! Why the end of the world is here. All of it started because of the two of you!"
He first pointed to Stan. "Stan, instead of being proud of your brother achieving his dream, you had to get drunk on chicken wings and ruin his one chance for success!" He then pointed to Ford. "Ford, you didn't stand up for your brother and didn't give a damn about what he was doing to survive!"
"All of this is the result of your fighting. Now Weirdmaggedon is here, and we're given one last chance to stop it. This needs to stop, because if it continues, we're all gonna…die…" he trailed off as an ominous shadow raised up, staring at something with wide, horror-filled eyes. The others turned and gasped.
Having defeated the Shacktron, Bill approached the opening of his Fearmid, twirling the totem pole carelessly in his fingers. "Oh no, it's Bill!" He said mockingly. "Right? Isn't that what you're all thinking? Hey, Gideon, why aren't you dancing? Chop chop, huh?"
"Oh no, bro," Soos whimpered as he and the others took steps back.
"This is bad," Dipper whispered.
Bill threw the totem away and looked at all of them before noticing the zodiac. Seeing it made him start laughing. "Haha, ha ho! This is just too perfect! Didn't you brainiacs know the zodiac doesn't work if you don't all hold hands?" He asked. Stan and Ford exchanged looks of dread. "And what's better, you've brought every threat to my power together in one easy-to-destroy CIRCLE!"
Sweeping out his arms, Bill unleashed a fury of flames from them. The blaze hit the floor and burnt the zodiac. Destroying their only hope of finally ridding themselves of the demon.
Patrick and the twins gasped in dread. "Oh no!" Dipper exclaimed.
Pacifica looked up and noticed that her hair was on fire. "Ah! My hair!" she cried and patted it down.
Robbie also looked up and noticed that his hair was on fire. "Ah! My hair also!" He cried, starting to pat it down too.
Three red arms snaked around Stan, Ford, and Veronica and grabbed them in tight grip before bringing them up into the air and in front of Bill. The three elderly cousins thrashed against their blinds, but it was no use. "You guys wanna see what happens to your friends when you can't get along?" Bill asked.
"Hey! You give them back!" McGucket shouted, snapping the others out of their shock.
"You've gone too far, Cipher!" Gideon yelled.
"Yeah! We're not scared of you!" Wendy declared and grabbed her ax. McGucket pulled out his banjo. Even Gideon, who had no weapons, held up his fists to fight.
"Oh, but you should be," Bill told them as his pupil shrank. He snapped his fingers, and everyone except Patrick, Dipper, Mabel, Veronica, Ford, and Stan stiffened in unison and made brief choking noises. They glowed a demonic red glow with their eyes glowing yellow before their pupils turned into slips and rolled into the back of their heads. Mouths hanging open as they were lifted up into the air.
"Oh no!" Dipper yelled as Mabel shrieked. Patrick quickly pushed the twins behind him, pulling out his shotgun and crowbar as their friends were brought up to Bill.
"You know, this castle could really use some decorATIONS!" Bill shouted, making the people he was holding up vanish in a burst of light. They reappeared behind him, but now they were tapestries with pictures of them screaming in front of their symbols.
"No!" Patrick shouted as he looked at Wendy's tapestry. Now filled with more fury and hatred for the demon than he ever felt, Patrick pointed his blaster at Bill. "YOU BASTARD!"
As he pulled the trigger, Bill plugged the barrels with his fingers.
The result was a massive explosion that knocked Patrick on his back. Destroying the shotgun blaster from the future. He skidded across the floor before coming to a halt. As the unicorn shield flinched in and out of existence, Patrick yelled in pain when he tried to move his left arm. Looking at it, he saw that it sustained significant injuries when the blaster exploded. His hand was burnt, and his arm was bleeding from lacerations from shrapnel.
But that wasn't the only thing. The explosion obliterated the cheaply made laser tag and the crystal in it, meaning He couldn't grow or shrink any more. And worst of all: the unicorn hair on his belt was burnt. Without it completely circling him, he was utterly vulnerable to Bill.
"No! Patrick!" Stan screamed as he, Ford, and Veronica watched in horror.
"Patrick!" Dipper and Mabel yelled as they rushed over to their cousin. Patrick held his arm as blood dripped from the wounds and stood up.
"Looks like it's too late for your friends, Stanford," Bill said, pointing at Patrick and the twins. A blue pyramid rose out of the ground and snapped shut around them. "But you can still save your family," Bill said, floating over to the three elders. "Last chance, Ford: tell me how to take Weirdmageddon global and I'll spare the kids!"
"No! Don't do it!" Dipper pleaded as he, Patrick, and Mabel rushed to the cage's walls.
"If you do, he'll destroy the universe!" Patrick yelled, grabbing the cage bars with his one good hand.
"Yeah! Bill makes bad deals!" Mabel added.
Bill turned and glared at them. "Don't you toy with me, Shooting Star," he warned, his eye showing a picture of a galaxy. "I see EVERYTHI–"
As fast as he could, Patrick grabbed his crowbar off the ground and jammed the sharp end of it right into Bill's eye. Once again, black blood sprayed out of it, staining the floor and himself before he yanked his weapon out of it.
"OW! Not again! Why?! Every time!" Bill cried, closing his eye and holding his eyelid tenderly.
"That's for threatening my family!" Patrick shouted.
"Way to go, sweetheart!" Veronica laughed loudly. Suddenly, the binds around her, Ford, and Stan were released, and they fell to the ground.
"I just regenerated that eye!" Bill cried as Patrick tore off his sweater's right sleeve and wrapped it around his left arm. He grunted in pain, but it was all he could do to stop the bleeding.
"Dipper! The shrink ray!" He exclaimed. Dipper smiled at him and pulled out the height-altering crystal flashlight from his vest. Igniting the blue light, he shone it on the cage and enlarged it.
Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel jumped out as Bill screamed in pain.
"Save yourselves. Run! We'll take care of Bill!" Dipper told the twins and Veronica.
"What? That's a suicide mission!" Ford exclaimed.
Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel knew that. They knew it was a one-way trip if they took on Bill by themselves. But at that point, it didn't matter. They weren't going quietly. "Trust us," Dipper said. "We've beat him before…"
"...and we'll beat him again!" Mabel finished. The three fist-bumped, with Patrick using only his good hand. "Hey! Bill! Come and get us, you pointy jerk!"
The three of them ran underneath the demon. Recovering from his injury, Bill turned towards them and growled in pure rage. His body turned red and white. Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel run off into the Fearamid down a hallway, but not before Mabel stretched her lips to blow a raspberry at Bill.
"Kids, no! It's too dangerous!" Veronica warned. Along with Ford and Stan, the former agent started to run after their grandkids. However, before they could get any far, Bill used his magic to hold them in an invisible, crushing grip.
"Not so fast. You three wait here!" He said, throwing them into a cage. "I've got some children I need to make into corpses."
Bill then turned into a truly monstrous form. His body turned red and was divided into three sections, revealing a black inside and slimy slithering tongues hanging out of the sections. His limbs turned yellow, and while he still had one pair of legs, he now had six arms. Razor-sharp teeth were around the edges of his body's bottom and middle parts. His eye was black, and his slit pupil was yellow.
"Seeya real soon." He growled in his deep voice before running off to kill the kids
"No! Wait! No! No!" Veronica cried as she and the twins rushed towards the edge of the cage. They watched in fear and anxiety as Bill crawled through the hall entrance and chased after the kids.
"Oh, what do we do? What do we do?!" Stan asked frantically.
"Kids!" Ford shouted, banging on the bars.
Veronica could only watch as the malevolent being left, and there was nothing she or the twins could do. All her years of training, all that she's experienced, couldn't prepare her for losing those kids. And now, she was going to lose them.
Unable to do anything, Veronica let out all the fear that had built up the moment Bill showed up in one scream.
"RUUUUUUNNNNN!"
Patrick grunted from the pain in his left arm as he ran with Dipper and Mabel through the Fearamid. He kept up with them and looked back to see if Bill was following them. However, he would regret that decision when he saw the nightmarish form of Bill coming from them. Tearing down any pillars that got in his way.
"When I get my hands on you kids, I'm gonna DISASSEMBLE YOUR MOLECULES!" He shouted in a fury.
Biting back the pain, Patrick used both hands to grab Dipper and Mabel as he took a sharp turn to the left. Dragging the twins with him. However, this would turn out to be a mistake, as they stopped below another hallway going upwards.
"Mabel!" Patrick yelled. Nodding, Mabel quickly took out her grappling gun from his sweater.
"You've tricked me for the last time!" Bill yelled as he caught up to them. He lashed out a yellow hand at them, but Mabel shot the grappling hook up and grabbed Dipper, and he grabbed Patrick. Before the demon could grab them, Mabel brought the three of them flying away up the hallway. They screamed at how fast they were going. Bill let out a loud roar as he chased after them.
Veronica tried to break the bars of the cage with her bare hand, but nothing worked. No matter how hard she tried, she just couldn't do it. "Oh, I can't believe this!" She cried, before turning to the twins. Her eyes welled up with tears of frustration. "What is wrong with you two! Your brothers, for God's sake! After all these years, you two can't stop pushing each other away. Now the kids are going to die, and it's all your fault!"
Panting for breath after screaming at them, Veronica collapsed to her knees and started sobbing into her hands. Stan and Ford glanced at one another in shame. Both knew that she was right.
"You're right," Stan said, kneeling down and placing a hand on her back. "It's all my fault. Because I couldn't shake Ford stupid hand! Uh, dad was right about me. I am just a screw-up that never should have been born."
Ford sighed and sat down on the other side of Veronica. "Ah, don't blame yourself, Stanley," he said, making Veronica look up at him while sobbing lightly. "I'm the one who made a deal with Bill in the first place. I fell for all his easy flattery. You would have seen him for the scam artist he is. And I should have told you everything, Veronica. About what I've done. Maybe then we could have figured out a way to stop…all of this."
Veronica sniffled and stopped crying for a moment. But her sobbing made her throat dry. So, she pulled out her canteen and took a sip from it. "This wasn't supposed to be how things were between us," She asked, sitting with her legs crossed and handing the canteen to Stan. "We shouldn't have been like…this."
"How did things get so messed up between us?" Stan asked after taking a sip and handing it to Ford.
Ford took a sip before he said, "We used to be like Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel. The world's about to end, and they still work together. How do they do it?"
"Easy. They're kids. They don't know any better," Stan said.
"So were we," Veronica said melancholically. She thought back to when they were still together. When they explored Glass Shard Beach for adventure, before her family moved away. "I miss the kids we used to be."
"Me too," Ford said somberly, before standing up.
"Whoa, where you goin'?" Stan asked.
"I'm going to play the only card we have left. Let Bill into my mind. He'll be able to take over the galaxy and maybe even worse, but at least he might let the kids free," Ford explained.
Veronica's eyes widened as she and Stan stood up. "What?! Are you kiddin' me?! Are you honestly telling me there's nothing else we can do?!" She exclaimed.
"Bill's only weak in the mind space," said Ford. He pulled out the memory gun from his coat. "If I didn't have this darn plate in my head, we could just erase him with the memory gun when he steps inside my mind."
Stan stared at the gun for a moment. He remembered what the kids told him about Bill invading his mind and even what Veronica told him about the Society of the Blind Eye. Back then, the conman didn't pay much attention to those things, but now he started to think of a plan.
"What if he goes into my mind?" He suggested. "My brain isn't good for anything."
Ford chuckled. "Heheh. There's nothing in your mind he wants. It has to be me. We need to take his deal. It's the only way he'll agree to save you and the kids."
"Do you really think he's gonna make good on that deal?" Veronica asked.
"What other choice do we have?" Ford asked. The three of them stood in silence for a moment, realizing just how hopeless the situation was.
"Actually…" Stan paused as a severe expression formed on his face. "There is one choice we have left."
Having finally lost Bill, Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel ran through the Fearamid. They were looking for an exit, but screamed as they reached a dead end.
"You know, I'm starting to think there's no way out of here," Dipper said, fearing that they might never get out of the castle alive. However, Mabel still had an idea.
"Like Grunkle Stan always says, when one door closes, choose a nearby wall and bash it in with brute force!" She grabbed the height-altering crystal flashlight from Dipper and grew her hand with it. Once it was the size of her body, Mabel swung it forward and punched through the wall. Breaking it and making their exit to the outside world.
She shrank her hand back to normal as Patrick smiled. "Ha! Now let's round up the townsfolk, and together we can defeat… oh, no!" He gasped in horror when he saw the rest of the refugees and the people they've freed tied on the ground, guarded by the demons.
"You'll never take us alive, monsters!" Grenda declared.
"That's fine with us!" said Teeth, before eating Shmebulock in one bite. This made everyone scream.
"Oh, no," Patrick said, not noticing Bill approaching behind them.
"Peeka-boo!" the demon said. Before the kids could even express their terror, Bill's eye lit up in a yellow beam of light, catching them in a tractor beam. The three Pines kids screamed as they were lifted off the ground, before Bill grabbed them in his hand.
Having finally caught the kids that were a constant nuisance to his plans, Bill carried them back into the main room. They fought with all their might, but his grip was too strong. Ducking under the hall's roof and stepping into the room, Bill held the kids up so that Stanford could see.
"Alright, Ford. Time's up," Bill said. Veronica and the older twins stared up at them in terror. "I've got the kids. I think I'm gonna kill one of 'em now just for the hell of it!"
Losing his grip just a bit, Bill used his other hand to grab Patrick by his injured left arm. The teenager screamed in agony as he was pulled out of Bill's hand and lifted into the air. The twins tried to grab him, but it was too late.
As Patrick struggled to break free of Bill's hold, the demon held him in front of him. "And I know just the one," Bill said with glee before his eye blinked and reopened, showing a 5 in place of his pupil. "5…"
"NO, DON'T!" Veronica shouted in fear and terror.
"4…"
"Patrick!" Dipper and Mabel shouted in terror, trying to break free and reach their cousin.
"3…"
Despite the pain, Patrick desperately tried to fear himself. Kicking his legs around and punching Bill's pointer finger and thumb. But it was not to be. He looked at the twins as they looked at him in desperation and fear. At that moment, Patrick's fear washed away.
"2…"
"I love you two," he said in finality. The twins started sobbing and held each other. They couldn't watch and so turned away from the inevitable carnage that awaited.
"1…"
Bill's eye started to glow red.
As a single tear ran down his face, the young man that was supposed to help save the world closed his eyes in acceptance. Patrick knew it was about to end. He had failed Father Time. Failed everyone. There was nothing that could save him now.
Patrick Pines was going to die.
"...ZERO!"
"Wait!"
Patrick waited for the end to come, but it didn't. Opening one eye, he saw Bill had paused when Ford called out to him. He looked over his shoulder down at Ford. The author had stopped the demon from killing him just in the nick of time.
Ford then said, "I surrender!"
"...Good choice," Bill replied
"Ford, what the fuck are you doing!" Patrick yelled.
Bill released his grip on Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel. Dropping them down to the floor. Patrick cried in pain on impact, and Dipper and Mabel rushed over to him, hugging him in a terror-stricken state.
"Patrick!" They cried, clinging to him. Patrick hugged them back as best as he could, but focused on Ford.
"Don't do it, Ford. It'll destroy the universe!" Stan exclaimed, grabbing onto Ford and shaking him. Bill shrunk down to his original size.
"It's the only way!" Ford said.
"Boy!" Veronica pleaded.
In his mad excitement, Bill just laughed at them. "HAHAHAHA! Oh, even when you're about to die, you Pines just can't get along," he said. The demon then dropped the cage and tied up Stan and Veronica in his red arms. Bringing them down to their knees.
"My only condition is that you let my brother, cousin, and the kids go!" Ford shouted.
"Fine."
"No, Ford! Don't do it!" Patrick shouted, standing up and reaching out desperately. However, one of Bill's arms wrapped around his injured arm. "AAH!" He screamed, unable to break free of the arm.
The author of the journals gave his nephew one last apologetic look before he walked forward. Patrick, along with Dipper, Mabel, Stan, and Veronica stared at Ford in a panic as he approached Bill somberly. The red glow of the outside world bathed the room in a red aura.
"It's a...DEAL!" Bill held out his hand, coating it in the blue flame.
Ford lifted up his own hand and reached out with a steady face. Gripping Bill's hand and the two shook on it.
More excited than he ever felt before, Bill held Ford's hand as his body turned to stone and fell to the ground. He then entered the mental realm. "Ahaha! Hahaha! AHAHAHAHAHA!" Laughing hysterically in deranged ecstasy as he rushed towards Stanford's head and entered his mind.
This is the way the world ends.
When Bill opened his one eye, he found himself back in an all too familiar place. A white void deprived of nothing. Nothing but a door. "Oh, I'm here. I'm finally here!" He exclaimed, floating towards the door. "Look at this place: a perfect, calm, orderly void."
Bill reached out and grabbed the doorknob of the monochrome-colored door. This was it. The moment he's been waiting for. Weirdmaggedon would take over the world and the universe until nothing was left. Sure, there were some setbacks, but it was all worth it for this moment.
"Gotta hand it to ya, Ford. You really know how to clear your m–"
Bill opened the door, and his sentence fell apart completely. When he opened that door, the demon overlord expected to see all the knowledge Ford had obtained over the years. When Bill opened the door, he was hoping to find the equation to break the barrier around the falls, so that he could unleash his chaos on the world. Hell, when he opened that door, the triangle was expecting to see Ford making out with one of the many celebrity crushes he had.
What he was NOT expecting to see was Stanley Pines leaning back on his chair in the Mystery Shack's living room with a paddleball. When the demon entered, Stan grinned, made a clicking sound, and pointed a finger-gun at Bill.
"WHAT?!"
"Heh heh! Do a pretty good impression of my brother, don't I?" Stan asked with a smug look on his face. "Switch clothes and no one can tell us apart. Welcome to my mind. Surprised you didn't recognize it."
Outside of the real world, Patrick stared at what he presumed to be Ford's body in shock. 'Ford' dropped down to his knees when Bill entered his mind with his head tilted back. Without Bill around, the red arms vanished into thin air.
"Grandma!" He yelled, running over to her and 'Stan'. "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine, but baby, your arm," Veronica said worriedly, untying the sleeve and lifting it up. Patrick hissed as he felt it peel away from his lacerated arm.
"I-I'll be fine," he assured her.
However, Patrick noticed 'Stan' slowly pulling himself off the ground. Standing up, he made his way over to 'Ford'. The remaining twin reached up and took off his hat, surprising Patrick and the twins when they saw it was actually Ford.
"Ford?" Patrick asked in shock.
Ford looked back at him with a sad look in his eyes before reaching into Stan's suit. Pulling out the memory-erasing gun, he imputed two words into the device.
Stanley Pines
"Ford, what are you…" Patrick was interrupted when he felt a pair of arms reach around him and pull him back into the person's chest. Looking back, the teenager saw it was his grandmother. "Grandma?"
Veronica tried her hardest to hold back the tears as she nodded to Ford. "Do it."
Ford looked back at Stan and aimed the memory gun at his own brother. As the device charged, Ford's hands started to shake. He closed his eyes, shifting his finger down to rest on the trigger.
And then Stanford pulled the trigger.
"WHAT?! The deal's off!" Bill yelled, crossing his arms in an X. He turned around to leave, but the door shut on him. Then it burst into blue flames that quickly spread to all the walls and the ceiling. "What the...No, no, no, no!" He panicked, realizing that he walked right into a trap.
"Oh yeah. You're going down, Bill," Stan said, casually leaning back into his chair as the room started to burn with blue fire. "You're gettin' erased. Memory gun. Pretty clever, huh?"
"Y-you idiot! Don't you realize you're destroying your own mind, too?!" Bill yelled in his panic as the room became blurry and distorted.
"Eh. It's not like I was using this space for much, anyway."
Realizing that the man might just be suicide and that he was in danger of being destroyed permanently, Bill started to panic even more. "Let me outta here! Let me OUT!" He grunted as he tried summoning his own blue flames. However, they quickly went out. "Why isn't this working?!"
That's when it hit him. Without a body, Bill was nothing more than a thought inside Stan's head.
Seeing Bill on his knees like the pathetic worm he was, Stan stood up from his chair and walked towards Bill. "Hey, look at me. Turn around and look at me, you one-eyed motherfucker!" Stan yelled, making the demon turn around. "You're a real wise-guy, but you made one fatal mistake: you messed with my family!"
As the flames grew and got closer to Bill, the more he began to panic. All of his powers were gone. There was no escaping on his own. He was going to die in this worthless conman's mind if he didn't think of something fast. So, he resorted to begging. "You're making a mistake! I'll give you anything!" He pleaded. His eye showed a picture of a dollar sign, a star, a pot of gold, a sexy woman, and a galaxy. "Money! Fame! Riches! Sexy babes! Infinite power! Your own galaxy! Please!"
Stan grinned. "Sorry, no deal."
Bill's fears skyrocketed when he heard his answer. "No!" He yelled, his body bending and melting. "What's happening to me?!" Bill's body started to flash between several distorted forms as he tried to regain control of his own body. In one final, desperate move, he started speaking backwards. "Nruter yam I taht rewop tneicna eht ekovni i! Nrub ot emoc sah emit ym! L-T-O-L-O-X-A!"
But it was no use. The spell wouldn't work. He wasn't powerful enough. In what was to be the final form he'll ever take, Bill was now black with white lines, and his eye was red. As his pupil shrank down to nothing but a dot, he reached out toward Stan.
"STAAANNLLEEEEY!"
Glaring at the demon that has tormented his family for thirty years, Stan punches Bill in the eye, and the once-proud being disintegrated with a fading scream. Stan panted in exhaustion, already feeling his strength fading, but he did it.
It was finally over. Bill Cipher was dead.
Looking over at a picture of him with Patrick Dipper, Mabel, and Waddles, Stan picked it up and sat down in his chair. "Heh. Guess I was good for something after all," he said, closing his eyes as the flames engulfed him.
Once Ford finished erasing Stan's memory, they all stared at the conman's body with sad expressions. The author dropped the memory-erasing gun on the ground.
It is done.
Just then, the ones that were turned into tapestries returned to normal and dropped to the floor. Outside, a powerful beam of energy shot from the tip of the Fearamid and went into the rift. The earth started to rumble, before the remaining demons found themselves being sucked back into the Nightmare Realm through the portal. Teeth spat out Shmebulock as he got pulled away, along with everything that Bill brought into the third dimension. Including his castle. Patrick held onto the twins as the Fearamid was being deconstructed all around them and pulled into the rift. Once it was all back within the Nightmare Realm, the X-shaped scar in the sky closed itself. Resulting in a massive boom as the link between worlds was severed completely. Never to be reopened.
Once it is gone, a wave washed over the town, restoring it to its pre-Weirdmageddon state. Every building was fixed, the water tower returned to normal, the waterfalls turned back into blue instead of blood red and flowed into the lake. The trees that filled the town grew back at a rapid pace until they were back to their normal forms. Everyone's injuries healed, and all of their clothes were restored. Those that were brought over because of Weirdmaggedon faded away. As the town's residence looked around, they looked up and saw the dark clouds that once covered the skies for five days fade away. The sun could be seen again, and it rained down some much-needed sunshine.
Weirdmaggedon was finally over.
Deep in the forest where the Fearamid used to float, Patrick looked up at the blue sky as birds once again flew, chirping and cawing. The lacerations and burns on his arm healed. However, the bruises and scars remained. Patrick looked down at the ground and saw a statue of Bill, covered in moss and vegetation. It was all that remained of the demon that nearly destroyed the universe.
"Stan!" Patrick turned around and saw the others that were part of the zodiac spread out and looking around for the conman.
"Stan!" He called out, walking deeper into the forest until he spotted Stan. He still collapsed on the ground in the same pose. "I found him!" Patrick yelled before rushing towards him.
When he reached him, Patrick gently placed his hand on his shoulder and shook him.
"Stan?" He asked softly. This made the conman open his eyes, much to the young man's relief.
"Oh, my gosh!" Mabel exclaimed, seeing that he was okay. Running up to Stan, she placed his fez on top of his head. "Grunkle Stan, you did it!"
However, that happiness would be swept away. "Oh, uh, hey there...kiddo," Stan said awkwardly, "What's your name?"
"Eheh. Grunkle Stan?" Mabel asked, worriedly as the others walked over.
"Heh," Stan laughed before looking around. "Who you talkin' to?"
"Oh no…" Patrick whispered.
"What? What 'oh no'?" Mabel asked, looking ready to cry. "C-cmon. It's me. It's me, Grunkle Stan. Grunkle Stan, it's me!" She yelled, trying her hardest to get her uncle back. Veronica somberly pulled her back away from him.
Veronica looked ready to cry as she placed a hand on her shoulder. "I'm sorry, baby," she said sadly, causing Mabel to cover her mouth and shake her head. "We had to erase his mind to defeat Bill. It's all gone."
"Stan has no idea, but he did it," Ford said. "He saved the world. He saved me." He and Veronica walked up to and knelt down next to Stan. The author, filled with more remorse than ever before, looked into the eyes of his only brother and started to cry. "You're our hero, Stanley."
Ford and Veronica both wrapped their arms around Stanley and cried together. Mabel fell down to her knees and sobbed as Dipper put his hand on her shoulder and cried as well. Wendy buried her face into Patrick's shoulder, crying as he covered his face with his hat, shedding tears as well. Soos pulled his hat down and sobbed as well. Robbie stuffed his hands into his hoodie pocket and looked away, clearly upset. Pacifica and Gideon closed their eyes in somberness, and McGucket took off his glasses.
Once they eventually had enough crying, the small group gathered themselves and guided him to the only place that was closest to them: the Mystery Shack.
The dilapidated cabin was now lying in a heap in the woods. Looking as though it would collapse at any moment. They walked up to the door, where Waddles and Gompers were waiting for them. Patrick tried to open the door using the handle, but it wouldn't budge. He then stepped back and started kicking the door until it finally came down.
Everyone walked into the living room, Dipper and Mabel holding Stan's hands as they guided him. "Hey, this is a real nice place you got here," the conman said. A piece of the roof broke off and fell to the floor.
"It's your place, Grunkle Stan," Dipper informed.
"Don't you remember? Even a little?" Mabel asked, her voice quivering.
Stan walked over and sat down in his orange recliner. "Nope. But this chair hugs my butt like it remembers. Ah." He sighed with a relaxed smile. That was until he looked at everyone else, who was looking at him sadly. "Hey, why the long faces? You guys look like it's someone's funeral. "Who's that big guy crying in the corner?" He asked them in a whisper, pointing to Soos.
Soos sobbed and turned away.
"Isn't there any way to give him back his memories?" Pacifica asked worriedly. Sure, she never liked the old man, but even she didn't want this to happen to him.
McGucket sighed and took off his hat. "The memory gun only works one way. It can't give back what it took."
"We saved the world, but what's the point? Grunkle Stan's not himself anymore," Dipper said.
"There's gotta be something we can do to jog his memory!" Mabel exclaimed.
"There isn't. I'm sorry. Stan's gone," Ford told her.
"I know my Grunkle is in there somewhere," Mabel snapped before looking around on the floor. "There's gotta be something around here that can help bring him back."
"Perhaps I can help," said a deep voice that made Patrick gasp. A bright light flashed from the other side of the room, making everyone turn towards it. From it came Father Time himself.
"Father Time?" Patrick gasped in shock. "What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to thank you, Patrick Pines. Weirdmaggedon is finally over, and time is restored," Father Time told him.
"And the other timelines?" Patrick asked.
"All have been restored, and Weirdmaggedon has ended in all of them." Of course, all of that was done with the help of their own Patrick Pines, thanks to Father Time once he saw how successful the main timeline's Patrick was in helping bring an end to Bill's madness.
"Oh, why are there a bunch of clocks flying and talking?" Stan asked, before being shushed by Veronica.
"So…what are you doing here?" Patrick asked.
"I'm here to help you with your uncle's predicament," Father Time told him, before an opening in his body formed. In it rested a gold glowing orb with Stan's hat symbol. Father Time reached in and pulled it out. "All of Stan's memories, from birth to now."
Patrick stared at the orb in wonder as he was handed it. "Thank you," he said.
"And thank you, Patrick Pines. Now go and live your best life." And just like that, Father Time disappeared in a flash of bright light.
Once he was gone, Patrick stared at the time orb that was given to him. Dipper and Mabel walked over to him. "Will that really bring back Grunkle Stan?" The boy asked.
"Only one way to find out." Patrick turned and walked over to his con artist uncle and held the time orb out to him. "Go ahead, Stan. They're your memories," he said.
"Not sure how this is supposed to work. It just looks like…" Stanley's sentence trailed off when he placed his hand on top of the orb. At that moment, the glowing of the sphere became brighter. Then that glow was transferred over to Stan's body while the light and color of the orb slowly disappeared.
When it turned black, the orb turned to dust. It dissolved in Patrick's hand and blew away with the wind. Stan's body glowed for a moment, before the light faded.
"Stan?" Patrick asked.
Suddenly, Waddles jumped up on Stan and started licking him. This made Stan hop out of his seat, trying to pry the pig off of him. "Gah! Quit it, Waddles! I'm trying to remember my life story!" He yelled.
Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel gasped. "What did you say?" the boy twin asked.
"I said get Waddles…off…of…me…" Stan trailed off, realizing what he had just said. Everyone stared at him with wide eyes.
Ford walked forward and stopped in front of his brother as Stan placed Waddles on the ground. The two twins stared at one another, but the author finally spoke.
"Thank you, Stanley. For everything," he said. This time, he meant it.
Stan smiled genuinely. "And I'm sorry for everything."
"GRUNKLE STAN!" Mabel cried and rushed as fast as she could before leaping up and tackling her grunkle to the ground, squeezing him in a tight hug. "You're back!"
"Whoa! Hey, easy there, kiddo! I've just got my memories back so let's not break ME!" Stan didn't have time to reach when Dipper, Patrick, Soos, Wendy, and even Veronica all joined in on the dogpile. All of them were laughing and happy to see him back to normal. The others stood back and smiled, just as glad to see Stan regain his memories.
"Oh, Stanford, I never thought I would be so happy to see my enemy alright," Gideon cried as Pacifica wiped away a tear.
"Who are you?" asked the real Stanford.
Everyone laughed and celebrated after getting off of Stan and allowing him to stand up. The nightmare was over. Bill was dead, and Gravity Falls was safe at long last.
This is the way the world was saved.
A few days later, it was another bright, sunny day for the town of Gravity Falls, and once again, Shandra Jamirez was reporting the news.
"Good morning, Gravity Falls. It's another beautiful day, but every day is beautiful now that the...unpleasantness is over," she said as the people of the town went about their daily lives. However, that doesn't mean that all is as normal as before, now that they know that their town is the hotbed of all supernatural things. This meant that the townsfolk had to adapt to the strangeness.
For example, Farmer Sprott chased some Eye Bats out of his barn. "Git outta here, you ornery critters!" He yelled, as one of them flew into his windmill.
Seeing as the Librarian died during Weirdmaggedon, the Guardians of Obsolete Formats took up the role that he left behind.
"BOOMER-REEL!" Reel-to-Reel shouted, shooting out his reel tape and using it to grab a book. Pulling it over to him, he caught it and handed it to a young woman he was trying to impress. "Here you go."
The Valentino house was much more lively than before. The family of three was tending to the grounds when a zombie popped out of the earth. Greg Valentino pushed it back into the dirt with his foot. "Ah, good as new," he said to his wife, who pushed one in the ground with a shovel. But then an arm popped out and grabbed her leg. However, instead of showing any fear, they continued to be their cheery selves, much to Robbie's annoyance. "Oh! Looks like you've got a friend."
"Robbie, would you be a dear and get us the sawed-off shotgun?" Janice asked her son.
"Ugh. Fine! Whatever!" He complained rudely.
That's when zombie Mayor Befufftlefumpte popped out of the ground. "Brains, and so forth," said the undead mayor.
"Nope. None of that, thank you." Janice pushed him back into the ground. She and Greg laughed.
Over in the town square, Mayor Tyler Cutebiker stood on a podium in front of a crowd. He decided to address the matter of the new strangeness and the traumatic events they all experienced head-on. "None of us really understand what just happened and none of us want to," he told the people. "That's why I'm passing the Never Mind All That Act. If anyone goes asking around about the 'events' of the last few days, what do we say?"
A banner that said "NEVER MIND ALL THAT!" dropped down over his head.
"Never mind all that!" The crowd cheered.
"And if you break the rules, we're gonna zap you," Blubs said, showing off his new taser.
Durland had two and waved them around. "Zap! Zap! We're mad with power!" He yelled cheerfully. However, both he and Blubs looked at each other before dropping their tasers and grabbing each others' faces.
"And love."
"In other news, the Northwest family has gone broke. After pledging his allegiance to Bill and then placing all his savings in weirdness bonds, Preston Northwest had to sell his mansion to preserve his family fortune," Shandra Jimenez reported.
Some workers hung a "FOR SALE" banner on the mansion's gates. Seeing the home that belonged to his family for generations being taken away from him brought such grief to Preston that he dropped to his knees and sobed. Priscilla cried too, before turning to Pacifica, who wasn't crying.
"You're only going to have one pony now," the woman told her daughter.
"That's fair," she said with a shrug. She did only have one pony and Pacifica loved him.
"But fortunes have also turned for local maniac, Fiddleford McGucket, who, after regaining his sanity, has made millions overnight submitting his patents to the US government."
"I'm gonna buy me a bigger shed!" McGucket exclaimed, throwing his blueprints in the air with joy. He then pointed to the Northwest Manor. "Hey, that one's for sale!"
"But the big news of today is on town heroes, Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel Pines. A party will be thrown at the Mystery Shack to celebrate the twins' thirteenth birthday and all three's final day in town. But other than that, I can safely say our beloved Gravity Falls is back to normal. And now, Bodacious T, with sports."
Toby, who was now doing the news with her, held a skull and bat. "It's called, 'death ball.'"
"...to you." Patrick sang with everyone as he placed the birthday cake in front of Dipper and Mabel, and Waddles squealed Soos. When they were done singing, everyone that attended the party cheered for the kids. When news about the twins' birthday being their last day in town reached the people of Gravity Falls, everyone rushed over to the Mystery Shack to celebrate. Working together to set up a party bigger than what Mabel had envisioned.
"Happy Birthday, you too," Patrick said, walking back to stand alongside Wendy. Grenda, Candy, Ford, Stan, Veronica, and Soos stood on the porch with them.
"I can't believe you all got together just to throw a party for us." Mabel gushed, touched by the gesture.
"After all the Pines family has done for the town, it's the least we could do. You've helped everyone here," Mayor Tyler said, gesturing to the people that came.
"Thanks to y'all savin' us, I'm gonna learn to open my heart to kindness," Gideon informed them. "No more evil-doin'. From now on, I'm gonna try to be Li'l Gideon, regular ol' kid."
"Dude! Make a wish, dawg," Soos told the twins.
"You know, on my first day here, if you had asked me what I wanted, I would have said, 'adventure, mystery, true friends'. But looking here at all of you, I realize that every wish came true," Dipper said with a wide smile as he chuckled. "I have everything I wanted."
"If I had only one wish, it would be to shrink all of you with the shrink ray and bring you home with us in my pocket," Mabel said. "But since that's impossible…" She trailed off as she looked at Ford. "Is that impossible?" Ford made a face and waved his hand up and down in a so-so gesture with a shrug. Veronica gave her a head shake. "Since that's probably impossible, my only wish is for everyone to sign my scrapbook. I'll never forget you guys."
"Hang on." Patrick reached into his pocket and pulled out the memory gun. He dropped it on the floor and smashed it with his boot. "Okay, now you'll never forget you guys."
Mabel and Dipper smiled at him before the boy twin grabbed two cups of juice. He handed one to his sister and said, "And before we blow out the candles, we want to make a toast to you, Patrick."
That surprised the teenage boy. "But it isn't my birthday," he said sheepishly.
"We know," Mabel said, smiling as she raised her cup with her brother. "To our cousin, Patrick. You were there for us when we needed help. You protected us from the dangers. You've been like the brother me and Dipper wished we had, and you being here made this summer all the more fun for us."
"You are the single best cousin we could have ever asked for. We love you, Patrick," Dipper finished the speech, leaving Patrick speechless.
As the people clapped and cheered, Patrick's lips grew wide as his eyes became watery. Walking over to them and kneeling, he pulled the two into a hug. "I love you guys, too," he said.
He pulled away and stepped back as Dipper and Mabel moved over to the cake. Together, they sucked in a deep breath and blew out the candles.
Wendy suddenly ran up and hugged them, making their party hats fall off. "I now officially declare you technically teenagers!" She declared. "Welcome to angst and acne forever."
Tambry, Robbie, Lee, Nate, and Thompson jumped onto the porch and chanted with redhead. "One of us! One of us!"
"Yeah, welcome to hell!" Patrick cheered
"WOOPEE!" Blubs and Durland cheered with him and fired a cannon. Sending the cannonball into the forest, where it crashed into a tree.
"So, how do you feel?" Soos asked.
"Same-y, but different-y," Mabel replied.
Patrick ruffled her hair. "Just don't be in a rush to grow up," he said jokingly.
"Hey, you two. When are you gonna open your presents already? I broke a nail wrapping them," Pacifica said, holding her hands to show that they were covered in tape and glue.
Mabel and Dipper laughed before they each grabbed a present from the pile of gifts. Stan and Veronica stood behind them, the conman clapping and the old woman with her arms crossed. However, the pleasantries ended when Ford walked over and whispered to them.
"Stanley, Veronica, I need to talk to you both," he told them. Ford led the two behind the shack as the party continued on and people occupied themselves. "I didn't wanna say anything with everyone listening, but we've got a problem."
"What's the matter, Ford?" Veronica asked worriedly.
"Weirdmageddon has been contained but I'm detecting some strange new anomalies near the arctic ocean," Ford explained, showing a holographic map of the world on his watch and a red dot that pinpointed the location of the anomaly.
"That's near Scandinavia," Veronica said when she saw the location. "My old job's been trying to search for odd things there for years.
"That's why I want to go investigate it," Ford said, turning off the watch's hologram. "But I think I might be too old to go it alone."
"Are you sayin' you need someone to help you sail around the world in the adventure of a lifetime?" Stan asked, more than sure that he was talking about the kids.
"I don't just want someone to come with me Stanley, I want it to be you and Veronica," Ford told them, pulling out a photo of them as kids posing on their old ship, back when it was still called Veronica's Stan-o-War.
Veronica's eyes widened as Stan took the photo. "You're…asking us?"
"What do you say? Will you give me a second chance?"
"You think we'll find treasure? And babes?" Stan asked with an excited smile.
"What babes would want your old ass," Veronica joked, jabbing him in the side.
"Heh! I'd say there's a high probability," Ford said, playfully punching Stan in the chest. "But, what should we do with the Mystery Shack?"
Stan looked at the shack. It was still being rebuilt after being turned into a robot. However, that only added fuel to Stan's decision. "I think the town's had enough mystery for one lifetime. Are you thinkin' what I'm thinkin'?" He asked, before bringing in the two of them and whispering to them.
However, one person did hear their conversation and gasped.
When Stan, Ford, and Veronica returned onto the porch with Dipper, Mabel, and Patrick, the conman tapped a Pitt cola bottle. "Everyone, I have an announcement to make. Me, my cousin, and my...heh!... nerdy bro over here have some catchin' up to do," he told the people, swinging his arm around Ford and Veronica. "We're gonna be away for a while. That's why I'm shutting down the Mystery Shack for good."
Everyone gasped and muttered amongst themselves. However, Soos ran onto the porch and pushed past the twins and Patrick.
"You shut down your mouth for good!" He yelled, pointing a finger at Stan.
Stan, Veronica, and Ford exchanged glances.
"I'm sorry, Mr. Pines. It's just that this shack is the most magical place on Earth. Sure, the attractions are all fake, but dreams aren't fake!" Soos told his boss. He emphasized this by grabbing and holding up a Fiji mermaid taxidermy. "Like, this mermaid. It's not just a dead fish butt sewn to a monkey carcass. It's a marvelous creature that makes us believe that anything is possible. You shut down this shack, and you shut down our dreams! At least...my dreams." Soos sadly took off his hat and lowered his eyes.
"Aww." awed the crowd.
"I'm sorry, Soos." Stan sighed. "It's just, there's no one around to run it," he explained, and Soos put his head down. But that's when an idea hit Stan. "At least, there wouldn't be if I hadn't just found the perfect replacement." The handyman looked at him with wide eyes as Stan took off his fez and placed it onto Soos' head. "Ladies and gentleman, the Mystery Shack is under new management!"
Everyone cheered for Soos. "Woo! Way to go, Soos!" Patrick cheered, clapping happily for his best friend. Dipper and Mabel cheered along with him.
"You...you mean it, Mr. Mystery?" Soos asked in disbelief. Stan placed his hand around Soos' shoulder.
"You're Mr. Mystery now, Soos. Try not to burn the place down," he said, whacking the hat on his head, making it tilt over Soos' eyes. Soos fixed it and smiled back.
Meanwhile, just around the corner, Abuelita carried luggage and assorted items as she walked inside through the gift shop. "I'll move in immediately," she said as a 'Movers' truck towed behind her. Patrick saw this and laughed. The partygoers kept cheering for Soos as he stood proudly before them.
However, it would all come to an end.
Patrick was the last to pack his bags and had just finished loading all of his things into his duff bag. Zipping up his bag, he threw it over his shoulder and turned to walk out of the room. However, something stopped him. He looked back at the room that he and the twins lived in for three months.
Looking at it now felt almost surreal to him as it sat empty. Every item they had from books, crafts, notes, or otherwise was gone. Dipper's side of the room was only his trash bin–stuffed with his chewed-up pens, cans of Pitt Cola, and cardboard labels. Mabel's side had bits of yarn and glitter on the floor and an empty feeding dish for Waddles.
As he looked around, Patrick was reminded of something. Reaching into his sweater, he pulled out his crowbar. The very same weapon he held onto all summer to protect his cousins. Now there was no need to have it anymore. So, he placed it against the broken Whack-a-Mole game. The very same spot where he first found it. Then he left, closing the door behind him.
Patrick remembered when he and the twins first stood at the bus stop to leave Gravity Falls. It was a somber moment in their lives before it was the day they thought they failed to save the Mystery Shack. However, now they were standing there before it was their final day in town. Stan, Ford, Veronica, Soos, Wendy, Candy, Grenda, Pacifica, and Waddles were standing with them to wish the three of them goodbye.
"Do you really have to go?" Candy asked. "There's still so much we haven't done together."
"Summer's over, Candy. It's time for us to grow up," Mabel admitted.
Dipper playfully nudged his sister. "But not too much."
"Aaah! I hate my dumb heart for making me feel things!" Grenda cried and started punching herself in the chest. "Cut. It. Out. Heart!"
"Hey, can you punch my heart, too?" Soos asked Grenda.
"No, mine! Punch my feelings away!" Candy exclaimed, grabbing Grenda and shaking her.
Mabel went up to Candy and Grenda and pulled them into a hug. "Candy and Grenda, thank you for being my people. You'll always be my best friends," she told them as the two girls hugged her back. Mabel pulled away and looked at Stan, who was wearing a pink sweater with 'Goodbye Stan' stitched onto it. "Grunkle Stan, thanks for wearing my goodbye sweater."
"Ah, it's cold out. I had to," Stan said quickly.
"What? But it's like eighty-something degrees out today." Soos said.
"Can it, Soos!" Stan and Ford snapped, making Veronica and the kids laugh.
"Hey!" Dipper flinched when Pacifica marched up to him and stopped in front of the young boy. She looked down at the ground with an embarrassed look on her face, before doing something she never thought she'd ever do.
Pacifica Northwest, the richest girl in Gravity Falls, kissed Dipper on the lips.
"Thanks for everything you've done for me," she said with a smile. Grabbing Dipper's arm, she pulled out a marker and wrote down a phone number. "Here's my number. Let's keep in touch."
Dipper looked at his arm in shock as Pacifica walked to stand next to Candy and Grenda, both giddy having just seen the kiss. Patrick walked over to him and playfully nudged him.
"When you start to consider dating her, let me know," he said, making Dipper blush brightly.
Patrick then turned to Wendy. The last person to say goodbye to. She stood a few feet away from the others with her arms crossed. He walked over to Wendy and stood in front of her.
"So, this is it," he said awkwardly.
Wendy nodded. "Yeah."
"You're ready for this?"
Wendy shook her head. "No. You?"
"Not even close," Patrick said. He could almost cry as he took a step forward towards her. "Look, I don't want either of us to say goodbye, so I'll say this. I want you to know how much you mean to me, Wendy. I love you so so so much. More than any girl I know. I love everything about you, and I loved every moment we've spent together. Both the good and bad. Even if we never did get together, I'd never be able to shake you. Whenever I see red hair or a flannel shirt, I'll think of you."
Wendy gave him a shaky smile with watery eyes. "Whenever I hear someone playing the saxophone, I'll think of you."
"Whenever I watch another horrible B-movie, I'll wish you were sitting next to me."
"Whenever I see a pair of feet, I'll wish they had an extra toe."
"And I could never stop saying how much I love you, Wendy Corduroy."
Wendy looked ready to break into tears at that point. "Me either," she whimpered. "I've dated so many guys and have thought, but then you've come along, a wonderful boy who did something that none of them could ever do: capture my heart. I can't imagine what my life would be like if you hadn't come into it. And it's because of that I could never stop loving you any more than I could stop breathing. I'm hopelessly, irretrievably in love with you, Patrick Pines. More than you know."
There was a long moment of silence before Patrick let out a little sob and couldn't help himself anymore. And neither could Wendy. She grabbed him by his sweater collar, pulled Patrick towards her, and smashed her lips onto his. Patrick kissed back almost immediately and held her close to him as they made out one more time. And they didn't stop passionately kissing until the bus to take him, and the twins back home pulled up to the bus stop.
"Last bus leaving Gravity Falls," announced the driver.
Patrick pulled away from Wendy and noticed that her hat was gone. Then he was surprised to see that in her hand was his boonie hat. "So we never have to stop thinking about each other," she said, pointing to his head.
Looking up, Patrick saw that in their making out, she had swapped hats. Now he was wearing her jack hat.
"Oh, and this." Wendy then handed him a letter that was signed to him. "Read it the next time you miss Gravity Falls."
"You know I already do," he said and picked up his bag as Dipper and Mabel picked up their gear. Hesitantly, he walked away from her and joined the twins.
Together, they stood at the bottom of the stairwell, bags in hand. They set them down and turned around to face everyone one last time. "Guess we've said goodbye to everyone except...Waddles," Mabel said sadly, her faithful pig walking out from behind Soos. "I...I don't know how to explain this but…" She gave him one last pet on the head. "Mom and Dad won't let me bring a pig home to California so... you have to stay here!"
Mabel started crying again as she turned and walked back to the bus. Waddles oinked, and quickly grabbed Mabel's skirt, trying to pull her back. It was a heartbreaking moment made even worse when the girl tried to push Waddles off of her.
"Come on. Come on. I have to go. I'm...I'm sorry, Waddles." She sobbed.
Unable to see his favorite niece be brought to tears anymore, Stan finally had enough. "Agh! You know what? Forget it!" He yelled, marching over to them and picking up Waddles. "I lived with this goddamn pig all summer, now your parents are gonna have to!" He walked over to the bus and placed Waddles down on the floor of the vehicle. "Hey, bus guy! This pig is comin' with the kids."
"Now, hold on a second," the bus driver said and pointed to a sign. "Bringing animals aboard a moving vehicle is strictly prohibited by–"
"Sonny," Veronica said, walking up to the stairwell and placing her foot on the first step. Pulling out her 1911 pistol as she rested her hand on her knee. "Do you really want to say 'no' to a sweet little old granny and her cousins?" She clocked the hammer back as Stan pulled out his brass knuckles and Ford showed his laser gun.
The diver's face went pale as he quickly changed his mind. "Wah...w-w-welcome aboard. You can sit in the front row, pig," he promptly said as Waddles walked towards the back.
Veronica stared at the driver and pulled the trigger!...and the hammer just hit the back of the gun without going off. It wasn't even loaded. Yet. "That's more like it." The former agent turned towards her grandson and pulled him into a hug. "I'm sorry I wasn't able to be with you and the twins more than I wanted to, but I just want you to know how happy I am to have spent this summer with you."
Patrick hugged her back. "I love you, grandma," he said, before pulling away from her.
Stan then came over and knelt down to their level, placing a hand on each of their shoulders. "Kids, you knuckleheads were nothin' but a nuisance and I'm glad to be rid of ya."
Mabel and Dipper tried to hold in their tears as they ran up to Stan and hugged him. "We'll miss you too, Grunkle Stan," she said, petting his fez's tassel.
The three let go and Stan stood up to face Patrick. "Well, kid. Whether it was your mom or some time god that brought you into this world, I'm glad you did," he said, holding up his hand.
Patrick shook his head. "Come here, you." He grabbed Stan's hand and pulled him into a hug. Stan was surprised at first, before he hugged his oldest nephew back. "Thanks for taking us in, Stan."
With that final goodbye, Patrick turned around and slung his bag on his shoulder. Dipper and Mabel followed his lead and grabbed bags.
"Ready to head into the unknown?" Dipper asked his sister.
"Nope," she replied, before taking a deep breath. "Let's do it." The two looked at their cousin.
"Then let's go." Patrick stepped on the bus, followed by Dipper, then finally Mabel before the door closed. The vehicle's engine started up, ready to take them back to California.
There was no one else on the bus, so the three of them walked over to the back and sat where Waddles had sat. Looking out the window, they waved goodbye, with Mabel holding up her pig and having him wave at their friends and family as the bus started to move slowly. But as the bus began to pull away, the group began running after them, shouting their final farewells with tearful smiles.
"Bye! Bye, everybody! We'll miss you." Mabel called out
"Bye! I'll miss you guys, too!" Dipper shouted.
"We'll never forget you all! Bye!" Patrick cried with a happy smile, until they stopped running and disappeared down the road. They were over the hill, leaving the friends, family, and loved ones they met this summer behind them.
Patrick relaxed in his seat and enjoyed the ride home. He looked out the window at the Northwest mansion atop the hill, as well as a brief glance at some gnomes clinging to a power pole. However, their humans weren't the only ones to see them off, as some of the forest creatures waved goodbye to them.
As they neared the town's borders, Patrick looked at his cousin, who were sitting together in the seat across from him. They were both asleep, with Dipper's head against the glass and Mabel's head on his shoulder, with Waddles curled up in her lap.
Remembering Wendy's letter, he pulled it out and opened the folded letter inside. He gasped when he saw it was covered in the signatures from the various people they met, including, of course, Wendy, Stan, Ford, Veronica, Grenada, Candy, Pacifica, McGucket, Robbie, Soos, Gideon, the teens, Tyler, Blubs, Durland, and Susan. However, it was their final message that really made him smile.
"See you next summer."

When Patrick, Dipper, and Mabel returned home to California, they were dropped off at the twin's home. The moment they stepped off the bus, they were instantly greeted by their parents. Dipper and Mabel teared up and rushed to their mom and dad, jumping into their arms as they laughed and cheered. They were surprised about Waddles, but seemed to agree about keeping him.
Patrick saw his father, Matthew, and ran over to him. The two hugged each other, before Matthew told him that he and his mother had a surprise for him and the twins. He and Patrick's aunt and uncle stepped aside, revealing Nora walking over to them with her newborn baby in her arms. Swaddled in a blanket. Mabel gasped happily as Patrick looked at the cry baby with wide eyes before walking over to them. Nora gently handed Patrick the baby, and he laid eyes on his new sibling for the first time.
The baby girl stopped crying and laughed when she saw Patrick for the first time. Her name would be Sally. Unable to contain his happiness anymore, Patrick cried with a big smile and hugged his new sister.
That night, they had dinner together, and the kids told them everything that happened on their adventures in Gravity Falls. From the dull moments to all the dangerous things that happened during Weirdmaggedon. Needless to say, they were speechless, and they didn't know if they could believe any of it. That was until Mabel showed them her scrapbook. When Patrick told them about Wendy, of course, his parents were very interested and were very happy to hear their son found love.
After that, Patrick and the twins gave each other one last goodbye before Patrick and his family returned home. Beginning the long wait for the next time they could go back to Gravity Falls.
Patrick kept his promise to Wendy and the two kept in touch all throughout the time they were away from one another. Eventually, Patrick would introduce his girlfriend to his parents while they were video chatting. Matthew and Nora adored the redhead and definitely approved of her.
However, they didn't stay away from Gravity Falls during the wait for summer. When Christmas vacation came, Patrick, the twins, and both of their families traveled up to Gravity Falls and spent the holidays with their friends and family. It was then that Wendy met Matthew and Nora in person. It was also when Veronica, Stan, and Ford returned home. Ford was finally introduced to the adults, and the three of them were introduced to their new granddaughter.
Patrick returned to school, and life was pretty normal for the 'six-toed' freak. However, his personality was much different than what the other students remember. He was more confident and smiled more than he used to. He actually started making friends. Including a boy that had a story as crazy as his. Apparently, he got stuck in a magical world of frogs with his now girlfriend and two other friends.
But that's a story for another time.
As the days went by, Patrick made sure he marked out every day that had passed. All that way until he crossed out the final day of school on his calendar. The next day would be the big day. The day that he's been waiting for all year.
[End song]
The first day was here, and Patrick looked up at the sky as he waited for Dipper and Mabel. Leaning against his car, which was parked at a gas station. He still wore Wendy's hat. It was the final stop before they entered into the forest borders of Gravity Falls.
His attention was caught when he heard footsteps coming towards him. He looked to see Dipper and Mabel walking over to him. "Come on, you two. Let's get on the road. I don't want to arrive late," he said, opening the driver's side door.
"Sorry. Dipper had to take a really long pee break," Mabel said, hopping into her seat in the back. During the spring break, she finally got her braces removed. And just like Wendy, she became very popular with the boy after they were gone.
"Hehehe, shut up," Dipper chuckled as he hopped in.
Patrick sat down behind the wheel of his car and turned on the ignition. As he was about to pull out of the parking lot, he paused and looked at the trees. The parking lot had them facing the forest, which almost seemed like a great big wall that separated the ordinary world from Gravity Falls. And there was only one opening into that wall. A single road that they had to take will take them all the way to town.
"Man. I can't believe it's been a whole year since we first came here," he said with a smile.
"I know. I wonder how much has changed," Mabel said in wonder as she leaned her head to the side to stare at the forest with her brother and cousin.
"Either way, it's going to be another adventure," Dipper said with a smile.
"Yep." Patrick turned and looked at his cousins. "So, you ready to head into the unknown?"
They both nodded with big smiles.
"Alright, let's do it."
Patrick pulled out of the gas station and drove the car down the road towards the forest. Heading towards their next mystery and adventure, somewhere in the woods.
Epilogue
And that was my story.
Some may not believe us if we ever told them the story of the summer of 2012, but we didn't care. Those of us that were there knew all about it. My cousins and I would continue to go back to Gravity Falls through our young lives. When Sally was old enough, we took her along too. Even as we grew older and even into college, we always made sure that we'd take a trip to that small town in the middle of nowhere. As for what happened to all of us? Well, let's just say that how we lived our lives after that faithfully Summer was as varied as each of us.
Gideon kept his word and was able to clean up his act. Abandoning his evil ways and living life as a regular kid. Though he still had some of that old darkness within him. He would go on to inherit his father's car company. Growing the band and making it one of the most successful used car dealerships globally. He'd also help released prisoners find work after their incarceration.
Pacifica Northwest became friends with Gideon, given that they were both our enemies. Her family was able to bounce back after selling their home, but she didn't carry on her family's legacy of lying and cheating. She first started working at Greasy's Diner, but through honest hard work and dedication, she became a supermodel and the number one professional golfer in the world.
Robbie was able to find his success in the music industries, while employed as a part-timer at the diner as well. He's married to Tambry, who went into business with him as his adviser and even performed on stage with him. Our group of friends still remains to this day.
After so many years, Fiddleford was about to reconnect with his son. He continued to invent many machines and was the man that gave us the flying car! As a testament to his character and his contributions, we all joined his family, attending his funeral when he passed away from brain damage caused by memory-erasing.
Soos remains one of the best friends I've ever had. He still owns the Mystery Shack and keeps the place in business to this day. Always keeping the place alive and always having our old rooms ready for us each summer. He married Melody and had a son. I've been chosen as the godfather.
Great Uncle Stanley, Great Uncle Ford, and Grandma Veronica would continue their adventure, even as they grew older. They would be sailing around the world and taking on new missions to protect the world all year. But every Summer, they'd come back to Gravity Falls, just to see us. The old twins would pass away together, before Veronica.
Mabel would follow her artistic passion into her adult life. Creating new and daring pieces of art that were a representation of that childlike wonder that she had as a kid. She dated a few guys until finally finding the right man for her. Mabel never once stopped trying to bring a smile to everyone's faces.
Seeing Dipper's talents, Veronica helped him find his calling as a private detective. Solving even the most complex cases that the police couldn't figure out. One of those cases would bring him and Pacifica together, and the two started dating. Eventually they married and had three kids.
Wendy and I continued our relationship all the way until we finished college together. She paid through school by working for her father's lumberjack company. After college, I asked my girlfriend if she'd marry me. And she did. Wendy, my best friend, the love of my life... and now, my wife, became one of the best architects in the country specializing in lumber.
After college, I would move back to Gravity Falls, and I took over as sheriff after Blubs and Durland retired and settled down with their adopted son. Keeping the peace between the townsfolk and creatures in the woods. After we married, Wendy and I would raise two kids; a boy and a girl. We still live here in Gravity Falls, and every summer was great. But none of them ever came close to that first one. When I bonded with my family, fought the supernatural, made real friends, fell in love with the girl of my dreams, and had the most fantastic time of my life.
In closing this chapter of my life, all I can really say is this: If you've ever taken a road trip through the Pacific Northwest, you've probably seen a bumper sticker for a place called Gravity Falls. It's not on any maps, and most people have never heard of it. Some people think it's a myth. But if you're curious, don't wait. Take a trip. Find it. It's out there somewhere in the woods. Waiting. But if you do, heed my warning.
If you go down to the woods today, you're in for a big surprise. If you go down to the woods today, you'd better go in disguise. For within the forest and the waterfalls…
…there are Weirder Things in Gravity Falls.
THE END
Goodbye, Farewell, and Amen.
