'Tis The Season

Kent Residence

Diana Kent giggled and moaned as her husband Clark nipped, licked and sucked on her neck. His hands romancing all over her body as he made love to her.

"Oh, Kal! Yes!" She clawed at his back.

"Di…" he breath out.

As her eyes fluttered, she saw a spark of light. Opening her eyes completely she gasped.

He kept whispering sweet nothings in her ear.

"Clark…" she pushed his shoulder.

"Clark!" She sat up quickly, pushing him off making him roll over and fall off the bed.

"Diana?! Wha-"

She covered herself with the sheet and threw a pillow at him to cover himself.

"Diana?! What the he-" Clark questioned frowning at her confused but then he heard a sniffle and the saw the sparking light. "Oh…"

"I'm sorry, Dear," Diana gave him a sympathetic smile.

"Mama…Daddy…" 1 year old Astrea cried rubbing her eyes. "Bad green man in deam. He take all Chismas gifs."

"Oh, my Little Love." Diana reached over to get her robe and quickly put it on. "You fell asleep before seeing the end." Tying her robe, she opened her arms for Astrea. "Come here, my baby."

Astrea flew down to Diana. Diana cradled her daughter.

"Mama, why Daddy on floor?"

Diana's eyes widen. "Oh…well…"

"Mommy pushed Daddy out of the bed, Princess."

"Why?" Astrea questioned looking up at Diana confused.

"Because Daddy wasn't listening," she answered raising her brow.

"Daddy was occupied and focused on Mommy, though."

Diana couldn't hold in her laugh. "I said I was sorry, Love. But, you were suppose to be listening." Diana got out of bed. "I'll take Astrea back to her room and lay with her for a while until she falls back to sleep." Diana walked over to him. "Give Daddy a hug, Little Love."

Astrea reached down as Clark reached up.

"Night night, Daddy."

"Night, Princess. Kick the bad green man's ass if he comes back, okay?"

She giggled. "K!"

"What?" Clark chuckled.

Diana rolled her eyes. "Let me tell you the end of the story, Sweetheart. Daddy can get back in bed and wait for Mommy."

"K, Mama!"

Clark shook his head still laughing and watched Diana as she left out the room before getting up.

Diana hummed as she walked to Astrea's room. Walking into her room, Diana laid her down, tucking her in, covering her with her blanket.

"Okay, my little Darling. Mommy will tell you the rest of the story."

Astrea nodded and smiled.

"So the Grinch was very mean because the Whos of Whoville were very mean to him as a child. He was misunderstood because he was different. One sweet little girl named Cindy Lou changed his perspective of things. She wasn't afraid and didn't see him as different being bad. She saw him as special like everyone else is special in their own way. The Grinch saw that even taking the gifts, the Whos had their families and friends to join together. That's what matters the most. Being with the people you love. The Grinch's heart grew 10 times bigger. For the first time in forever he smiled, he found joy and took back the gifts. The Whos forgave him and accepted him as who he was and welcomed him."

"Happy end!" Astrea clapped.

Diana smiled. "Yes, baby, it's a happy ending to the story. Feel better now?"

Astrea nodded. "Wait more to open, Mama?"

"Yes, just a few more hours, Love. So go to sleep."

Astrea held her arms up.

Diana laughed softly. "Sweetheart!" She leaned over to embrace her daughter and kissed her hair.

Diana waited a few minutes, rubbing softly through Astrea's long wild curls for her to be sound asleep.

She smiled and leaned over kissing her forehead gently.

"Sweet dreams, my baby," Diana whispered.

She eased up and floated out of Astrea's room, easing her door closed.

Diana floated back to the master bedroom. She saw her husband in bed lying with his hands behind his head, eyes closed and the sheets only covering his lower half. She bit her lip as she quietly closed the door. She floated over to him, taking off her robe, letting it fall to her feet and with a devious grin was about to pounce on him.

Clark's eyes shot open and he immediately grabbed Diana.

Diana gasped. "Oh you sneaky devil!"

Clark wiggled his eye brows and laughed as he quickly rolled them over, pinning her down on the bed.

"Payback, Di."

"I said I was sorry!" She laughed. "But you weren't listening!"

"I was in the zone, you know? It's mainly your fault for being so damn enticing and addictive. So like I said payback now."

"You dare challenge an Amazon, Beloved?" Diana wrapped her legs tightly around his waist and flipped them over.

"Woah!" Clark looked up at her surprised.

She smirked. "Darling, you know I have to be on top."

"Of me or winning?"

"Hmm….both…" She leaned down kissing him softly.

"You know it's a win/win for me, too."

"Oh?" Diana smiled. "How so?"

"Well having this view of my gorgeous wife always sets me on fire. I mean any and every position view is just…damn sexy."

Diana giggled and blushed. "Oh, Kal!"

"Then that feisty Amazon spirit of yours just sets me ablaze even more."

Diana gasped feeling his hot hands grope her derrière.

"Oh…Clark, you naughty man," she moaned as she raised herself then ease down on him. "Oh…Ah…yes…"

"So I take it being naughty get me gifts after all?"

She gasped again inching down further and nodded slowly. "Mmhmm…" She kissed him again. "You see, Husband…" she started in a whisper against his lips. "You are the kind of sexy gentleman who treats his wife very nicely with such pleasurable naughty things."

Clark grinned and laughed. "You like that, eh?"

"Darling, I love it!" She sat up throwing her head back. "Oh, Clark…"

The next morning…Christmas Day

"Presents!" Astrea cheering flying around the living room. "Presents! Presents! Presents!"

"Okay, Princess, camera is set and ready! Come pick the first one you want to open," Clark said.

"Yay!" Astrea flew down and sat on the floor.

"It's a good thing she doesn't know about X-ray vision yet," Diana said.

"Oh yeah…2 or 3 more years we'll be needing special leaded wrapping paper."

Diana giggled. "I hope you didn't peek, though?"

"Why would I? I got my gifts already."

Diana smiled and kissed his cheek. "Your are so sweet, Love."

"I open this one!"

"Okay, Princess. Go ahead."

Astrea happily ripped the wrapping paper.

"Ooh! It foofie!" she giggled excitedly.

"Who does it look like, Princess?"

Astrea gasped again grinning at Clark and Diana.

"It Kypto, Daddy! Foofie Kypto!" Astrea hugged it tightly.

"Now, when Krypto is away doing his own thing or at the fortress, you'll have him right with you in a way with your fluffy."

Astrea flew to Clark and hugged. Clark smiled, hugging her back and kissed the top of her head.

"Next one."

She flew back over and quickly unwrapped another.

"Dolly! Look like Mama!" Astrea then frowned an titled her head. "Me and Mama!"

"A very special Amazonian doll, Sweetheart, crafted by our sisters," Diana said.

"Mama, go to Temsyra and hug all sissies!"

Diana nodded. "Of course, Little Love, we will visit Themyscira soon."

Astrea flew to Diana embracing her.

"Mama, Dada open too?"

"Yes, Little Love, Daddy will open his now."

Clark chuckled. "Oh alright! Your mom has been anticipating this." He picked up a large box and placed it carefully on the coffee table.

Clark with the help of Astrea ripped the paper.

In big bold letters was "FRAGILE". Clark carefully opened the box.

"Woah…wait a minute…Diana, you didn't?"

She grinned. "I did, Beloved."

In a specialized glass case was an ancient clay tablet of all known stars and planets in Mesopotamia around the year 2750 BCE. From a very early time, the Mesopotamians had charted the movements across the sky of the sun, moon, planets and stars. They were able to predict celestial events, such as eclipses, using that knowledge. They also divided the night sky into 12 sections and named them for nearby constellations, the names of which come down to us through Greek and later Latin translations as the Zodiac.

"Di, this is amazing! How did you get this?!"

"Well Darling, I know how much you love you're collection of earth's historical artifacts. Being friends with the museum curator helped. The museum was going to have a few pieces transferred for better preservation and knowing you were so fascinated by this one when we went, I asked if we could have it and of course it will be in your special care."

"Wow, Di," Clark embraced her. "Thank you." He kissed her softly. "Now for yours…"

Clark picked up a slim medium sized box, handing it to her.

Diana smiled trying to guess. "A book?"

Clark chuckled. "Nope. Just open it."

Diana smiled even wider opening it and gasped.

"Beloved this is all so gorgeous!"

"And shiny, Mama!"

"Yes, very shiny!"

It was a specially designed blue topaz gemstone jewelry set crafted by Clark.

The blue topaz is often associated with loyalty and love, representing eternal romance and friendship.

As well as symbolizing honesty, clarity of feelings, and deep emotional attachment. The gift of topaz jewelry is a commitment of romantic relationship or a strong appreciation of loyal friendship.

He smiled proudly and took out the ring placing it on her finger.

"Diana this is us. It took me a while to search for the perfect stone all across the world in mines and mountains. When I saw this in Myanmar Mountains, I knew this was the one. Diana, I fell in love with you the moment we first met over 20 years ago. I fall deeper and deeper in love with you everyday. You are my best friend and the love of my life." Clark look at Astrea. "Come here, Princess."

Astrea teleported to sit on his lap. Tears welled up in Clark's eyes looking into his daughters eyes. The same beautiful topaz blue as the gemstone itself.

"This was the one because of our daughter. Her eyes, Diana. I see both of us. She is the embodiment, our gift, our blessing of all these years of what we've fought for and built together. All that we've been through, Diana, I wouldn't want to have it any other way. I'm the luckiest man in the universe."

Tears ran down both faces uncontrollably. Diana smiled and cupped Clark's face with both hands wiping his tears with her thumbs.

Astrea frowned not understanding why her parents were crying.

"Mama, Daddy sad?"

"Oh no, baby. Mama and Daddy are very happy." Diana kissed Clark passionately. "Thank you, Beloved. I love you so, so much."

"I love you too, Di. Forever and always."

Diana kissed Clark again.

"We love you, too, Sweetheart."

Astrea reached up and kissed her parents cheeks then held out her tiny arms as wide as she could to hug them both.

"Open the rest of your presents, Princess. Let's see what your Aunts and Uncles got you!"

"I'm assuming the gift that looks like a card wrapped is from Bruce?" Diana asked.

"It was either a check of a thousand dollars or a truck full of toys backing up in our driveway," Clark chuckled and shook his head slightly.

Diana laughed.

Clark and Diana smiled proudly watching their daughter open the rest of her presents. Diana looked at Clark and kissed his cheek. Clark kissed her forehead and intertwined their fingers holding her hand tightly.

7 days later…Fairbanks, Alaska

Clark, Diana and Astrea flew down and landed on the Glen Alps Trailhead.

"Daddy, what's here?" Astrea asked sitting on his shoulders.

"Just wait one minute, Princess. Close your eyes."

"Eyes closed?"

"Yeah!" She giggled.

Clark whistled quietly.

Suddenly a gust of wind.

Astrea laughed and opened her eyes. "KYPTO!"

Astrea floated up holding out her arms.

Krypto flew to her. Astrea grabbed onto his fur hugging him.

"Miss you!"

"A girl and her direwolf," Diana said laying her head on Clark's shoulder. "How precious."

"We've got about 10 minutes. Bringing in a new year with my girls. I can't believe it."

"I can't either, Love" Diana looked up at him.

Clark caressed her cheek. "You are so gorgeous, Diana."

"Kal…" she blushed.

They stared deeply into each other's eyes. So much trust, passion and unconditional love.

Clark glanced and saw a light.

"Astrea?" He said softly after a while. "Look at the sky."

Clark gestured forward with his head and Diana followed his gaze as well.

Astrea did so, lifting her gaze upwards to the heavens. She inhaled with amazed surprise as she saw the vast array of beautiful colors that was like a sunrise, colors spread above them, like the sky was a canvas and the lights water colors twinkling, glimmering, and shining serenely above them in a serene arrangement of purples, greens, blues, and silvers. Mingling, streaking, waving before fading away only to be replaced by a new color.

"Daddy? What's that?! Pretty lights!"

"Aurora Borealis, the Northern Lights."

"Glowing, Daddy!" Astrea reached upward and giggled. "Pretty!"

"By Gods…It's like the first time you brought me here," Diana breathed, leaning her back against his chest.

Clark wrapped his arms around her tighter and leaned his chin on her shoulder, looking forward at the lights.

They watched mesmerized by the endless delicate ribbons of light dancing among the stars before being erased.

"Happy New Year, Diana," Clark murmured into her ear.

Diana turned her head to stare at him.

"Happy New Year, Beloved," she said softly and gently turned her head and leaned up as much as she could.

Clark filled the rest of the space and kissed her softly.

"Astrea, Sweetheart?"

"Happy New Year, sweet baby!" Diana smiled and held out her arms.

Astrea smiled and flew into her mothers arms. Diana held her tightly and Clark wrapped his arms around both of them.

"Happy New Year, Princess," Clark smiled.

Astrea grinning looked up at them both. "Loove Mama and Daddy!" She grinned.

"We love you, too," Clark and Diana said in unison.

Astrea kissed Diana's cheek then flew up to Clark and kissed his cheek.

"Me and Kypto play!"

"Okay, Sweetheart but be careful and don't go too far nor too high flying."

"K, Mama. Kypto! Kypto, fy!"

"Watch her, Krypto," Clark said.

Diana laughed softly. "Our little adventurer."

"She's our everything," Clark chuckled kissing Diana's temple.

"She is!" Diana turned in his arms wrapped her arms around his neck. "I love you, my handsome husband."

"I love you, too, my gorgeous wife," Clark said pouring his soul into every word.

Clark leaned down a bit and captured her lips in a passionate kiss.

As they kissed occasionally, touching each other tenderly, they watched Astrea laughing flying around with Krypto and the last dregs of the lights until they were gone, fading like little wisps of smoke.

"Ready for another chapter of our journey."

Diana nodded and smiled. "Absolutely, my Love!"
