Alright, so here we are again, finally back with a chapter of this. Been a while with it, huh? It's a sad thing really that I've not given this story the attention it deserves. It was my first ever story to reach the top of an archive, and still is to this day the most popular Yugioh story of all, in any of the Yugioh archives. Hell, we're not that far off of breaking 7k follows on this. Well beyond that, I've been working on it quite a bit the last week or so at least. Got a few updates for it done and dusted. But yes, here we are finally back with another chapter after...what has it been? Five months? I think it was December I last updated this on here? Well I wanted to update it a few days back but the site was kinda crapping out, so yeah.
Anyway,. We're actually a few chapter updates ahead of this one for this story on there as well, and I ended up trying out a bunch of art for Alexis and Yarden using AI. Some of them turned out pretty great. And some not so much. It's been a real problem getting their eye colours right when they're both in the same picture.

Yarden was roused from one of the most pleasant nights of sleep he could remember, by something soft tickling his nose. Eyes blinking opening blearily, he found his hazy morning vision obscured by soft wavy honey blonde hair.
For a second, he was confused, before it all came rushing back, just what he got up to last night.
Alexis was snuggled into his arms, her head pressed against his chest as she rested peacefully, breathing softly. Her large, bare breasts pressed against his torso as they rested together under the covers.
She looked so peaceful, serene even. Despite himself, he couldn't help but smile widely at her, nuzzling against the hair obscuring his vision, his nostrils filled with the scent of her shampoo, it smelled like vanilla and coconut.
Yarden stared down at her for a few moments, before lifting one of his hands up and gently stroking a few loose strands of hair behind her ear, and pressing a kiss to the top of her head, before letting his eyes flutter closed and enjoying the feel of his gorgeous girlfriend in his arms, her soft body moulded perfectly to his own.
It wasn't long before sleep claimed him again.
He was just so comfortable and relaxed. There was something about being with Alexis, that just, calmed him down so much, made him more content than he could ever remember being.
He didn't know how long he slept, but it felt like only a blink before he was roused by Alexis sleepily murmuring in his ear, this time her face was buried in the crook of his neck.
'Victory for me indeed.' he couldn't help but think a little proudly and smugly.
'I'll say,' a giggle interrupted his inner crowing, 'Master got laid~'
And the moment was ruined. He turned his head, to find Dark Magician Girl laying on his other side, floating ever so slightly. She winked at him, 'And with the second hottest blonde on the island too, good job master!' she praised, forming a v with her fingers over her eye cutely.
He snorted inwardly, 'You wish,' he internally shot back, lazily glancing at her huge breasts practically hanging out of her leotard, a flash of pink nipple blatantly in view with both large tits stacked atop one another with the way the duel spirit lay, 'Alexis is number one, you're a distant second and only because there aren't really any other hot blondes I know about at duel academy right now.'
'Boo, you'll make me cry master!' she pouted, mock tears springing into existence in the corner of her eyes, clearly magic somehow. That, or she was supremely skilled in the art of fake water works.
He could never really tell with her.
'You're a carbon copy of Mana anyway, you're hotter with tan skin and as a brunette.' he decided.
'Not true, my boobs are at least two cup sizes bigger than Mana's were,' Dark Magician Girl stuck her tongue out at him and boasted proudly, before sitting up and floating lazily in the air, legs crossed and humming thoughtfully, 'I am hot as a brunette though aren't I? Maybe if I ever get an evolved form like Mahad did I'll get that good old Egyptian look like Mana.'
He raised a brow, confused, 'Mahad was the Dark Magician right?' he asked, 'When did he get an evolved card form?'
She shrugged, 'Back when that one wacky whiny guy used the power of Prana and another overpowered item on par with the Millenium Items tried to remake the world, Yugi almost lost and ended up summoning the Pharoah Atem back from the after life to save his butt,' the blonde duel spirit said as if that wasn't some absurdly crazy thing to talk about, she spoke of it as if it were the weather, 'Here, lemme show you.'
She lazily waved her hand, and the air rippled above him, the image of a huge card as big as he was coming into existence above him, an illusion.
It depicted Mahad, as he looked in life before he became the Dark Magician, clad in golden armour, with a golden scepter in hand, eyes glowing with power as a white cape swept through a non existent wind.

For a second, Yarden just stared, '...What a bullshit card.' he huffed internally. Seriously, a Dark Magician tier beat stick that could be special summoned as soon as it was drawn, that hit five thousand attack points against any dark type monster, and brought out Dark Magician if it was destroyed in any shape or form.
That was even more bullshit than Revived Serpent Night Dragon, which was the most bullshit card he possessed by far in his own humble opinion.
'The power creep is real.' Dark Magician Girl nodded sagely.
He stared blankly, 'Where did you even learn that?'
'From some of your inane ramblings, you're quite funny when you monologue to yourself master when you think nobody is watching,' she giggled airily making him roll his eyes, 'But if you think Mahad is bullshit, you should see some of the other cards Yugi has. Like Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon!'
What the fuck was Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon?
'A super special card Yugi magicked into existence when he and Joey Wheeler tag duelled another world ending monster a few years back,' she shrugged, 'It was just before I parted ways with Yugi. It was an absurd monster, a fusion between Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Dark Magician. Or well, technically, I could be used for at as well, the same as Dark Paladin, but I'm not as good for it as Dark Magician is.'
...Oh another one of those.
She waved her hand again, and this the card floating above him rippled and changed into another, the card bordered fading from the brownish orange of an effect monster, to the purple of a fusion and depicting the Dark Magician, only clad in gleaming ebony black draconic armour trimmed with glittering crimson red gems and gold, two great big draconic metallic wings and a long familiar spiky black tail erupting from his back.

...What the actual fuck? That thing was a bloody menace.
No seriously, what the fuck was that? Can't be targeted by card effects, can't be destroyed by card effects which meant even shit like Dark Hole or Lightning Vortex or Mirror Force was useless against it as well. Every turn it could destroy a monster an opponent held and deal its total attack points as damage, twice even if both Red-Eyes and Dark Magician were used to summon it...and then it even had a discard effect that negated a card effect once per turn and boosted it by a thousand attack points.
This thing may as well have been a fucking god card!
The only way to beat that thing reliably would be cards that had effects that could not be negated - which were very few and far between at this point - or a bigger stronger beat stick.
Which meant the only way he could currently take out a card like this, was Five Headed Dragon. None of his other monsters could take it on, and needed other cards to boost them to do it. Yet, even with Five Headed Dragon, it would be a tight thing, he'd need to summon it only through non quick effect cards, and he was fucked anyway if Red-Eyes Dark Dragoon was on the field and it was his opponents turn.
Fuck.
'Aren't you getting a little too bent out of shape?' Dark Magician Girl raised an eyebrow, 'Only Yugi has this card, or well, sometimes Joey I guess. The odds of you ever taking it on are practically non existent.'
No, no he wasn't.
Because, the fact that card existed, meant there we good odds he would have to take it on. Nightshroud would almost certainly have it. Or Darkness or whatever he was called. It was a being at least on par with Zorc Necroshade. As long as a Red-Eyes card existed, Nightshroud would no doubt have it.
He had already planned for Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon, Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon, both versions, or some unholy combination of both. Even those new Red-Eyes support and fusions he'd come to find existed in this world as well, like Red-Eyes Archfiend of Lightning, Red-eyes Slash Dragon, Archfiend Black Skull Dragon and more. Hell, he even had to be extra careful of Inferno Fire Ball.
Two of them and he'd lose the duel instantly.
But now...this? This was taking the fucking cake.
Because there was absolutely no way Nightshroud would not have them all.
He'd learned after all lately after quite a few surprises, that a lot of his opponents, were going to be busting out absurd bullshit cards, pulling them straight outta their asses just to fuck him over.
His eyes flickered to the girl curled up against him, and he clicked his tongue, 'I'll figure it out.' he decided. He'd already promised Alexis he'd get her brother back.
Just because he was now sure he would be facing some of the most bullshit cards he'd ever seen, didn't mean he was gonna back down.

He smirked, 'All those cards are a moot point if I blow Nightshroud away on the first turn like everyone else.' he thought.
Go big or go home, he'd prepare all he could, find some counters for those bullshit cards just in case, but from the very second he took Nightshroud on, he was gunning for his throat right out of the cage, no mercy, he'd obliterate him in the first turn.
'That's kinda hot.' Dark Magician Girl giggled.

'You ruined it, I'm going back to sleep.' Yarden rolled his eyes in annoyance. Turning, he tightened his arms a bit around Alexis, pulling her a bit tighter against him, relishing in the soft feel of her body against his own and dipped his head down to nuzzle her hair-
And then his PDA began ringing.
Sigh.
He lifted his hand up, palm up, 'Gimme that over would you?' he groaned inwardly.
'Okie Dokie master!' Dark Magician Girl huffed in amusement, waving her hand lazily and a second later the PDA floated over into his hand. Lifting it above his head, he looked at the caller, to see it was a requested video call, from an unknown number.
Whatever.
It was probably another one of Alexis' admirers calling to threaten him and demand a duel. Well, he had a nasty surprise for whichever dumbass simp it was.
He lay back a bit, moving so the only part of Alexis in the frame was her sleeping face and nothing else as he answered, only to blink as the screen turned on and he was greeted by the sight of a gorgeous, stacked blue eyed brunette dressed in a sleeveless yellow turtle neck that did nothing to hid the sheer size of her abundant tits, and a short pleated pink mini skirt
Tea Gardner.
'Okay, this I wasn't expecting.' Yarden thought blankly.
For an awkward few moments, he and his prospective manager stared at each other, neither apparently knowing what to say. Yarden simply wasn't expecting her to call this early.
Wait, what time was it where she was now? For all the main Duel Academy was the Asian branch for the most part, it wasn't really that close to Japan, so time differences were a thing.
"Ah..." Tea was the first to speak, giving him a sheepish look. "Sorry for calling so early, Mr. Odhar. I completely forgot about the time zones. I can call back later if you want?"
He shrugged one shoulder slightly. "It's fine," he replied, before slowly sitting up, careful not to disturb Alexis and lifting the PDA up so it was just his face and upper torso in the frame. "I was up anyway. Been excited to meet you as well."
Tea raised a brow, her smile turning a bit impish. "Yeah, you looked like you had a real long night," she noted, eyes flicking toward the covers. "Kids these days sure move fast."
His lips twitched into a smirk despite himself. "You could say that," Yarden replied, unashamed.
"So is that your girlfriend then? Alexis Rhodes, her name is, isn't it?" Tea asked, cupping her chin. "She was your tag partner during the duel with the Paradox Brothers. She was quite impressive."
"She is, isn't she?" Yarden couldn't help but grin proudly, eyes flickering to his slumbering girlfriend beside him. "If you're looking for more duelists to represent in the future, you should keep your eye on her. Alexis is a shoe-in for the pro league when she graduates. Could give Mai Valentine a run for her money right now, never mind in a few years when she's even better."
He was being polite. Mai Valentine wasn't anything special, to be honest. As far as he was concerned, Alexis would crush her. Sure, the game had evolved since Mai's time in Duelist Kingdom, Battle City, and that whole nonsense with the Seal of Orichalcos. And sure, she was a really high-ranking pro duelist, a part of the top pro league where only the best of the best like Kaiba, Yugi, and Joey Wheeler got to participate. But he was sure Alexis could take her.
There were three specific pro leagues. Everyone going pro started out in the bottom league, the one Aster Phoenix was currently acing through. The second was where a lot of the more famous duelists were situated, like Mako Tsunami, Weevil Underwood, and even Rex Raptor. The top of that league was currently held by that clown, The D. And the third league? That was the elite of the elite. Kaiba. Yugi. Joey. The best duelists in the world. Mai Valentine sat near the bottom of that top league.
And the only way to go from one league to the next was by becoming the top placer of the one before it. So to reach the top, one had to start in the bottom, finish the season at the top, and only then could they move up. From what Yarden had learned, it had been a good few years since anybody had even reached the top league. Because The D had stood at the top of the second for those years, and hadn't moved up.
Most likely because he was smart enough to realise his stupid little plans would end the moment he got matched against the likes of Yugi or Kaiba. Pathetic.
"High praise from the boy who absolutely obliterated the Paradox Brothers, and called out Rex Raptor on live television," Tea pointed out, an amused twinkle in her deep blue eyes.
That did remind him though.
"Yeah, about that," Yarden started, a frown tugging at his lips. "I'm surprised you actually agreed to talk to me about becoming my manager and representing me. I did call out one of your duelists after all."
He was a little surprised when Tea just rolled her eyes and snorted.
"Trust me, I don't mind at all. The little dino twerp had it coming. I only represent him because nobody else will in his league bracket now, and he got down on his hands and knees and begged me." She waved him off before smiling widely. "It made my day when he came storming into my office ranting and raving about it, actually."
The gorgeous brunette shifted slightly on screen, adjusting her position and crossing her legs. There was something naturally graceful about her, even when she was being casual. It was kind of distracting.
"That said, I wasn't expecting you to reach out to me at all. After your showing with the Paradox Brothers, no doubt you've been dealing with tons of people reaching out to represent you," Tea continued. "I mostly sent the offer just to mess with Rex. Colour me surprised when I got your reply wanting me to represent you. Rex was furious." She snorted again.
"I didn't actually know you were in this business, honestly," Yarden replied with a shrug, smirking as he shifted the PDA a little to keep Alexis out of frame. "An old friend of yours told me how you ended up working that kind of job. And you can tell Rex Raptor I'm willing to duel him any time he wants. When I win, I'll take his Tyrant Dragon."
He'd seen Rex duel since arriving at Duel Academy. He wasn't impressed. Rex wasn't any better than the Paradox Brothers. In fact, personally, Yarden would rank them above Rex even separately. And if that moron couldn't appreciate the sheer legendary epicness that was Serpent Night Dragon - the best dragon of all time - then he didn't deserve a cool dragon like Tyrant Dragon either.
'Indeed,' Serpent Night Dragon huffed proudly within his head, 'A dragon like that, belongs with you my Master, not that inept fool.'
"You know, for a kid that has never even met Rex, you sure have a hell of a grudge against him," Tea pointed out, shaking her head with an amused giggle. "Well, not that I blame you. He's as annoying as annoying gets."
She paused and gave him a thoughtful look through the video screen.
"Speaking of never meeting though... you said you didn't actually know I was in this business until you got my offer, and heard about me from an old friend of mine, you said... as if we've met before..." she trailed off for a second, and her lips twitched. "So my eyes weren't playing tricks on me, huh? She is actually with you. I'd wondered where she'd gotten off to when Yugi told me she left. But I figured she returned to the spirit world."
"She's also very annoying," Yarden grinned, ignoring the squawk of indignation Dark Magician Girl gave, pouting at him from where she floated at his side. Tea snorted in agreement, making his grin widen.
"As for if we've ever met? No, never in person. I'm from Scotland, after all. But I did see you quite a few times on television growing up, mostly around Yugi Moto and Joey Wheeler. Like at Battle City." He paused, then added casually, "I had a huge crush on you growing up."
Those deep blue sapphire eyes of hers widened, and her jaw dropped.
"Eh...?" Tea blinked, cheeks beginning to burn a deep red he could notice even through the video screen. "Wait, wait... what? You... you can't just say something like that so casually out of nowhere. Where did that even come from?"
Wow. Now that was a reaction.
'That's 'cuz she's a total Christmas cake, Master,' Dark Magician Girl giggled impishly. 'Tea's a real kissless virgin despite getting closer and closer to thirty every day now. You said it yourself, remember? Yugi really dropped the ball.'
Wow. Just... wow.
It took a lot of effort not to let his jaw drop in disbelief. He was tempted to call bullshit at what Dark Magician Girl said. There should be no way a woman as stacked and gorgeous as Tea Gardner was a kissless virgin.
But... that reaction.
Yugi, mate. Seriously!?
Yarden resisted the urge to literally shout in disbelief. Instead, he kept a calm, casual look on his face and shrugged.
"I mean, it's the truth," he replied. "Cuz I had a crush on you, I paid a lot of attention when you showed up on video in Yugi Moto or Joey Wheeler's duels. So I had a good grasp already of what kind of person you were. And when I saw your offer, I didn't hesitate."
Tea's mouth opened and closed, before she took a deep breath.
"Ah... okay, I totally wasn't expecting that. This was not how I saw this meeting going," she rambled, cheeks dusted with red still, even as she forcibly calmed herself down. She gave a shaky laugh. "That's... flattering, at least. Gosh, you're so blunt and bold. I mean, I should have expected that with the way you were against the Paradox Brothers... but still, I wasn't expecting it to be quite like this."
Yarden shrugged. "You're the one that asked. I just told the truth." And the best of it was, he wasn't lying. He did have a crush on her as a kid. In fact, Tea was the one that awakened his kid self to fan service in anime. She was his first fan service girl.
Tea rubbed her face. "That's... I'm flattered, I guess? Just wow," she muttered, shaking her head. "Though, should you be saying that right now, to a woman almost twice your age, while your girlfriend is literally sleeping next to you?"
"Why not? I'm sure Alexis has had crushes before. Everyone does. Mine is just extra gorgeous," Yarden replied, smirking when Tea's cheeks grew a brighter red once again and she looked away from the screen. "Don't get me wrong. I'd probably have normally hit on you. Age gap or not, you barely look like you're in your twenties anyway. But that was the me before I met Alexis and started dating her. Gorgeous as you are, you don't need to worry about anything like that. I love Alexis."
For a second, Tea just stared. The red faded from her cheeks. Her plump lips twisted into a half smile.
"You're something else, you know that, kid?" Tea shook her head. "She's a lucky girl then."
"Well, I am the shit." Yarden grinned, very humbly.
Tea tilted her head. "You know... you really are familiar in a way. That boldness, and the way you just say whatever you want... it's something else," the stacked brunette mused. "Funnily enough, Scotland is where Kaiba had to head to get his hands on his third Blue-Eyes White Dragon, from what Yugi told me. He was actually a little younger than you at the time. Maybe that's it? You remind me of Kaiba a bit."
"Really?" he perked up, his grin widening. "That's a hell of a compliment."
Tea gave a rueful roll of those lovely blue eyes of hers, so much prettier than his own blue eyes. Hers were deeper, like sapphire. His were a much paler blue.
"Sure. Compliment. Let's go with that." The sarcasm in her tone didn't quite hide the little smile tugging at the corner of her mouth.
Heh, it looked like Dark Magician girl wasn't off base at all. It was almost disappointing he was with Alexis now, almost. Because, if he really had wanted to pursue Tea Gardner and live out his fantasy crush as a kid? He was so in there.
'Told you Master,' Dark Magician Girl giggled in his head, flashing him a peace sign with two fingers from beside him, just out of the view of his PDA camera, 'You're totally her type. And she'll be getting way more desperate now, being a Christmas Cake and all. If you weren't with the second hottest blonde on this island and you went off to meet Tea? I'd give it a week at best before you had bent over her own desk.'
No way. Like yeah, he was still in disbelief over her situation dating wise, but still. No way she'd be that easy.
'Silly Master, you're looking at it the completely wrong way round.' Dark Magician Girl stuck her tongue out at him, before disappearing, leaving him alone to continue his talk with Tea and hammer out a contract with her.
