Hey, everyone. This is a crossover between Degrassi, the secret circle and Every witch way. I hope you like it.
I couldn't wait for today, because I'm going to surprise one of my best friends, Emma Alonso, by visiting her. She lives in Miami and has a boyfriend, Jax, who she's known since her sophomore year of high school at Iridium High. Katie and my mom thought it was a good idea for me to visit my friend so I can get my mind off of Cam and everything that's happened. Since he died, I haven't been reacting like everyone wanted me to. I was serious when I told Zig that I'm so tired of people telling me who I'm supposed to be. I told Katie that I'm tired of people treating me differently since I'm the ex girlfriend of the guy who died in the school's greenhouse. I'm tired of people telling me how I should feel, that I should move on-which will NEVER happen-or that I should just sit down and cry my heart out until I can't cry anymore. It's different for me because I don't feel anything at all. I was listening to the last thing I had left of Cam, the video he sent me when he spent the night over here. Since I already had my bags and everything packed, all I had to do wait a few minutes for me to leave.
I sighed as I looked around the room that I wouldn't be in until summer is over, which means that I won't see Zig until school starts again. I texted Zig saying that I would see him when school starts again, which would suck because he's the one who has helped me through everything: Cam's death, helping me when I was partying a drinking and getting me through it all. I'm forever grateful for it. "Maya, come on, time to go." I grabbed my stuff and walked out of the house for the last time until school starts. Katie and my mom say that it's a good idea, but I don't think they're going to get the results their looking for. Cam was my first love, so how am I supposed to move on after my first boyfriend dies the way he did?
I walked to the car and put my stuff in the car and got in. Katie was in the front with my mom and I was in the backseat. "Maya, I'm sorry, but we are worried about you. I think this will be a fresh start for awhile. You get to hangout with Emma for three months." Did I mention that I would be staying at Emma's house for 3 months until school starts again? No? Ok, sorry. Well, I am. "I think it's a bad idea." I muttered under my breath. "Maya, we aren't doing this to upset you; we're doing this so you can get your mind off of things. Don't you want to see Emma again? She's only a year younger than you." I snapped. "Yeah, like going to Miami is going to help me forget about my first love who died by suicide, Katie! You wouldn't understand because you have NEVER had someone you loved die due to severe depression!" I yelled and she finally shut up. I pulled out my phone and watched the video of Cam again, before I fell asleep.
I was still angry when I woke up. Soon we arrived at Emma's house and since Katie and my mom had to go back to the airport, they greeted Emma before taking off. "Maya, I'm so happy to see you. How have you been?" She asked as she went into the kitchen and got us something to drink. "I'm good." I could tell that something was wrong with Emma though. "Emma, are you okay?" She seemed nervous about something. She looked at me and said, "I'm fine, it's just that I found something and it wasn't on the table before. I don't know what it was. I found it when I was going through my mom's stuff." She said, as Andi came in. "Maya, what are you doing here?" She looked excited.
"I came here to visit you until school started." Emma and I hugged as Jax appeared. "Oh, I'm sorry. I didn't...I mean..." He stuttered as he looked from Emma to myself. "It's okay, Jax. She knows about my powers and everything." Emma explained while putting her hand on his chest. They looked so cute together. "So you're a witch?" I asked, teasing him. I already knew that he was a wizard, but I love teasing him. "Wizard." He said as he rolled his eyes. "I know; I just like teasing you." I told him as Andi covered her mouth and tried not to laugh, while Emma did the same.
Soon, Andi busted out laughing. "She got you, birdman." I was confused. "Why do you call him that?" I asked, as Andi started to say something, but Jax stopped her by saying, "Don't." Andi couldn't resist. "He's afraid of birds." Andi said, once again trying to control her laughter. "It's a phobia." Jax explained, as Emma looked up at him. He smiled at her and she smiled back. "You two are so nauseating." Andi said as she pretended to gag. "You have to admit Jemma is more cute then Demma. Omg. Daniel just irritated me from what Emma's told me about him and their previous relationship." Jax frowned as I continued to tease and annoy him. "True." Andi said, as she frowned. "At least Jax doesn't control her like Daniel did. He actually accepts her being a witch, unlike he did." Jax frowned, as Emma looked at him and smiled. "Jax," Andi said, looking at him. "if you hurt her, then I will come after you." I nodded in agreement, as I laughed at the expression on his face. "I won't. I promise."
"How long are you staying, Maya?" I frowned as Jax and Emma moved to sit at the table. "Until my mom and my sister lets me come back to Toronto." Emma's eyes went wide. "Did they kick you out?" I shook my head. "They just thought that I needed a fresh start after everything that's happened." I frowned more as Jax asked me what happened. "I don't like talking about it, especially right now." I said as memories of Cam went through my head. I shook my head of those thoughts while Emma suggested that she can take my stuff to her room and then we can go to The Seven. My phone rang. Zig. Tiny. Grace. Jonah. Tori. Tristan.
An unknown phone number messaged me saying, Be careful, Maya. I have a bad feeling that someone is going to come after you. I ignored the message and after I put my stuff in Emma's room, I walked to the living room so we can go to The Seven. I had a feeling that someone was watching me. My phone rang again, but this time I answered it.
"Maya, it's me. I have a little surprise for you coming your way. You won't know when or where, but it's coming for you and Emma." The voice sounded familiar, but I couldn't exactly figure it out right now.
