So that is where he is going.

The Thermoculars show him on a simple couch, talking to the winged human.

They're talking. He seems at peace.

How… nice.

The Thermoculars were stored, and they turned around, jumping from the tree branch to the small patch of forest below.

It had been a long search, scouring the planet for him. But they found him in this small island country many moons ago.

Earth was a unique world; with technological wonders that put it above many other worlds. Yet they hadn't even managed to colonise their moon. They were squandering their potential.

It was upsetting. Irritating even.

A beeping noise came forth upon their watch.

They were being summoned.

They walked through the forest, to where their craft was hidden. It was circular in shape, lined with refractory crystals. As they got inside and the hatch closed, the crystals glowed; and the craft vanished from sight. It lifted off without a sound, its Q-Engines carrying it through the air, unseen, unheard, and unnoticed. They ordered the autopilot to return to base; to the place the local Earthers called Tori-shima, or the Izu Islands.

They closed their eyes, as the craft flew onward, and rested.

And they remembered.

Their family; on the day they were stripped away.

All the years since then; the enhancements, the missions.

The dead.

The few they managed to save, such as that earther boy from that mother beast many moons ago.

The pod beeped, and they awoke. The island was up ahead; small, uninhabited, far from even minor air or sea lanes, and rarely visited; yet close enough to the population center named Tokyo to be useful.

They glanced at the chronometer. They had been flying for one hour.

The pod flew up and over the dormant volcano at the center of the island, then dropped down; past the jungle foliage, and the dark obsidian, until it reached the very bottom. To the naked eye, and the finest sensors this planet could create, there was nothing there. Only the pod's systems allowed them to see their main craft, hidden by the same technology that hid the pod from sight.

Their Q-ship.

The pod set down, and they stepped out. A growl made them pause, and they looked up to see a monstrous figure; with a ravaged shark carcass beside it.

"Enjoy breakfast?" they asked, through their helmet modulator.

"Nrrrgh… It was… enough," growled the creature as it emerged from the shadows on all fours. He was shrouded in dark rages, black armor just visible underneath. He was lean, yet strong; his snout twisted into a permanent snarl. One eye was blood red, the other ice blue. Claws sharper than daggers scratched the ground as he prowled towards her.

"I hear whales come around soon. You'll find them more filling."

"I hope so…" the monster uttered, his voice deep like gravel. "Tell me… how went your hunt?"

"I… succeeded." They turned, walking towards the Q-Ship as the beast that was their only friend followed. They walked up the ramp, and into the dusty interior, heading for the command console.

They had put it off long enough. Too long.

They input the commands. And he appeared as a hologram.

"I see you have returned. Glad to know you can be prompt with answering my summons."

The figure was tall and muscular with dark armor, with long black hair slicked back, and blue skin marked with black war paint.

"The sooner I return, the sooner I can get your bellyaching out of the way," they scoffed.

"Prompt as you are, I'll ignore that last bit. Regardless, you may remove your guise in the presence of your better." He crossed his arms, waiting to be obeyed.

'Being cocky now are you?'

"She can do as she pleases," snarled the beast, moving to her side. "You are in no position to make demands, Kree."

"Watch your tongue, beast," the Kree Warlord hissed.

"Fenrir. It's fine." They reached to their helmet, removing it as it shrank down. Her red hair flowed, and natural sight returned to her one good eye. Her cybernetic one growing violet.

"That's more like it. The eternal beauty of the Deadliest Woman in the Universe." The Kree smirked. "You truly are something special… Gamora."

Gamora stared back, face impassive; forcing herself to resist the urge to grab something.

Fenrir obliged with his head; his white fur coursing through her hands.

"Now then, we should move onto better things," Gamora replied. "The Hive World on the planetoid, how goes it, Ronny?"

"Development is going fine, the Chitauri broodlings have begun to nestle in this little rock this system calls 'Pluto'. It'll take two Earth years before they are mature and battle ready. And it's Ronan the Fourth to you, homunculus." His reply became a snarl. "I admire your grace and martial prowess, but you need to mind your tongue when regarding your betters."

"Have you forgotten that I'm in charge?" retorted Gamora, narrowing her eyes. "Or should I inform the Maw of your poor attitude?"

Ronan, Fourth of his Name, Prince of the Kree Empire, glared…but made no retort.

"You've been on that backwater planet for six months, according to Earth's chronometer," he asked instead. "Have you found it yet?"

Gamora sighed through her nose. The target of her search; something so important that her father had sent three of the Black Order to this primitive backwater.

That, and to prepare. To scout. To ascertain the population count.

For the purge.

She could delay for only so long.

"Yes, I found the Cosmic Singularity. He lives in an island nation known as Japan. I will continue to monitor him."

"Good." The Kree prince smirked. "You and that Asgardian beast can take turns babysitting the Singularity. I shall continue nurturing this Chitauri horde, among other things."

"Such as trying to run an empire that doesn't belong to you?" Fenrir retorted, his snout forming a smirk.

"Do not mock me, Horror, contributing nothing beyond producing manure, 'Odinson'!" Ronan hissed back. "One of my bloodline shall accept no critique from a cursed creature like you." He pointed sharply. "Continue your vigil. The Singularity is our only link to the Infinity Stones. Why you haven't taken him yet is beyond me."

"Why bother?" Gamora mused airily. "Let this world blossom a little longer. It'll be corrected soon enough; and brought into a new, enlightened future of bounty and plenty."

How easily the Maw's words came out, despite tasting like ash every time.

"Of course. In the meantime I shall continue my duties, as the Heir to the Kree Throne must. A true ruler, unlike you, Odinson." Ronan huffed, smirking down at Fenrir. "Or should I say, Lokison."

Fenrir growled and looked away, claws digging into the deck. Gamora cut the feed.

He would rant and rave later. Let him.

"He's right, you know," breathed Fenrir. He looked utterly ashamed.

"Come on," she said, patting his head. "Let's go fishing. I'm sure there's something filling we can find."

Fenrir growled out a sigh and fell in beside her as she headed back to the ramp.

"I've seen the aquatic life at night," he said, sounding almost wonderstruck. "It is… unique. Glowing squids, graceful sharks, enormous whales. Midgar truly is an… interesting little world. Quaint, but unique."

"We've seen grander worlds throughout our travels," Gamora replied as they walked out of the Q-Ship. She could see the tunnel Fenrir had dug through the mountain far ahead. It was as good a way to keep himself occupied as any other, she supposed.

They reached the center of the volcano. Above, she could see the night sky, emblazoned with bright stars; the Milky Way in all its beauty.

"Seen them. Known them. Leaving only ravaged husks left in our wake," uttered Fenrir. "Worlds left half-hollow." Gamora stared up at the night sky, wanting to lose herself in that beauty; in the glory of a vast and heedless universe. "By Thanos."

She paused, wondering if Fenrir was testing her, waiting for her to slip up.

"By Father," she retorted.

Fenrir eyed her up, no doubt thinking the same thing she had been. "...Of course."

"His will be done."

"His will be done."

Spider Man, Deku, and the next Avengers will return.

For Thanos is coming.

There you have it.

The sequel for this project, one which WA and myself wil lwork on with editing by IKN will be called:

Spider-Man and Deku - Avengers Rising.

As for when that will come out, likely after I finish BDC with WA first.

Once again, thank you all so much for coming with us on this journey. The previous chapter works as a standalone conclusion if you like, but if you want to wait and stick around? Well... Next story will be Peter and IZuku against this universes' Thanos. One who has the Chitauari, Sokkoran, Kree, and Asgardian armies under his heel for his crusade. Who knows what Thanos may bring upon Earth?

I am finishing a story for the first time. And I hope you all enjoyed it, through the highs and the lows and the page long debates. There were fun.

Anyways, see you all in the next one.
