Boku no Hero Academia: Izuku's Harem Academia
Disclaimer: This is a mature-rated fanfiction story of Boku no Hero Academia that I am writing for erotic fun. Needless to say, this story is AU, the characters may seem OOC to some and there will be smutty lemons. Also, I own nothing of the series other than the fanfiction stories that I make.
Chapter 25: Endeavour's End
A few days after Gigantomachia's capture, Izuku resumed with his work study under Rumi (a.k.a. Miruko). During that time, Sorahiko (a.k.a. Gran Torino), Mirai (a.k.a. Sir Nighteye) and Toshinori (a.k.a. All Might) managed to compile information about the previous users of One For All so that Izuku would be better prepared for the day when he would somehow manifest their quirks.
While reading through the provided information, Izuku noted sombrely that the past users died young and Sumomo confirmed that many of them were killed by All For One while the fourth user, a lean man with short white hair, thin eyes and two scar-like cracks stretching from the left side of his forehead to his chin named Shinomori Hikage, died due to accelerated ageing. Unlike many of the other holders, including Nana, he had the ability to sense incoming danger and was thus able to avoid getting killed by All For One. However, as it turned out, One For All had a life-draining effect on people who already had quirks and could only be safely inherited by quirkless people such as Toshinori and Izuku. The revelation about One For All's negative effect was particularly upsetting for Mirai as he was forced to accept the fact that Mirio, whom he initially felt was the most suitable inheritor of All Might's quirk, would not have lived for long if he had accepted the quirk. In fact, given the present level of power within One For All, it was likely that Mirio would have lived an even shorter life than Hikage if he had accepted the quirk.
Back to the present, Izuku was following Rumi's lead while leaping from rooftop to rooftop as usual when they suddenly received a distress call, "To all pro-heroes, Dabi has been sighted attacking Endeavour!"
Both Rumi and Izuku's eyes widened as they assumed that the League of Villains was attacking the pro-hero. Immediately, they made their way towards Enji (a.k.a. Endeavour) who was on patrol in a nearby location.
-Meanwhile…-
Enji cursed as he backed away from the blue flames produced by the villain, Dabi. Normally, he would have been better prepared for a possible surprise attack but, between the stress of dealing with the still-ongoing "Endeavour Scandal" and the blue flames which reminded him too much about his missing son, Touya, he was unable to completely avoid the flames.
In spite of the surprise attack, Enji was not badly burnt due to both his experience as a pro-hero and his natural resistance to heat so he was able to recover quickly and get back onto his feet. A quick look at his surroundings made the pro-hero realise that he and the villain were surrounded by a ring of blue flames, thus preventing anyone who could not put it out or bypass it from interfering. Enji glared at Dabi and assumed a fighting stance while growling at him, "So, the League of Villains has finally decided to attack me."
Dabi, who was wearing a black hooded jacket, wore a mad grin as he spoke to the flaming pro-hero, "No, it's just me having a reunion with my old man, Todoroki Enji."
Enji's eyes widened as he asked, "What?"
Dabi's grin never left his face as he pulled back the hood if his jacket to reveal his face and hair. Originally, his hair was white but he dyed it black to conceal his identity as the missing eldest son of Todoroki Enji. As Dabi wanted to reveal his true identity as Todoroki Touya to Enji, he made sure to remove the dye well before the confrontation.
"T-Touya…?" stuttered Enji.
"The one and only," declared Dabi who smirked cruelly at his father.
Many years ago, Touya went missing after burning down an entire mountain peak in a fit of rage and despair. Although he was officially declared missing instead of dead, few were confident that he had survived for long after that cold winter night. In fact, the only reasons why he was declared missing instead of dead at the time were because no one had found the body and clues of someone leaving of the inferno were found before the trail went cold. In spite of the evidences, many believed that Touya's body, which was resistant to cold instead of heat even though he could produce blue flames that were even hotter than Endeavour's own flames, would be too horrifically injured after burning down the mountain peak for him to survive on his own without extensive medical aid. As no one had stepped forward to claim to have found or helped Touya even years after that event, it was assumed that he had received no such help.
Enji understood the logic of Touya having little chance of surviving on his own after that night but he never decided to have Touya's status changed from "missing" to "deceased" even years after he had disappeared in that blue inferno. It was partly due to his wife refusing to accept that Touya had died until she could see the body for herself. Another reason would be the simple fact that accepting that Touya was dead would be tantamount to accepting that Enji, the No.2 pro-hero in all of Japan, had failed to properly raise his own first-born son in a way that could never be undone.
In hindsight, Enji should have realised that he had already failed from the moment Touya decided to prove his worth to him at the expense of literally mutilating himself via self-immolation.
"Why…? If you had survived that night, why didn't you come home?" asked Enji who realized that Dabi was indeed Touya because of both his blue flames and his eyes.
"And what good would coming back home do?" asked Dabi before he added, "You already had your 'masterpiece' and you made it clear that I was a 'failed creation'. Why the fuck would I want to go back to living under your thumb, Endeavour?"
Dabi's words made Enji recall how he had forced his first-born son to use his blue flames in the hopes that he would somehow overcome his "weakness". He also recalled how he had basically tossed his own eldest child aside so that he could focus on training his "true masterpiece" instead. Unable to deny the truth, Enji asked in a resigned manner, "Are you here to kill me?"
"I have thought about it," admitted Dabi before he smirked cruelly and said, "but then I got a much better idea in mind."
-A short while ago, in a hidden location…-
"It's time, Gentle," said Aiba (a.k.a. La Brava).
"Then let us reveal Endeavour's most ungentlemanly misdeeds, Love-Lover," said Danjuurou (a.k.a. Gentle Criminal). Although Danjuurou was initially reluctant to help Dabi, the revelation of the latter's past convinced him that Enji needed to be punished further for his abusive ways.
Although the Endeavour Scandal had revealed a lot of information that incriminated Enji, it failed to describe just how badly Enji had abused Dabi and how he kept his own wife under his thumb to prevent her from stopping the abuse. No true hero or gentleman would ever condone such a level of abuse to children and spouses.
Aiba, who held a similar sentiment, nodded at Danjuurou before pressing a button to upload a video recording of Dabi's confession to every website on the internet that could play a video file. The electronic device that she used was a cheap laptop with internet connection and she made sure to create anonymous accounts that would not be traced back to her and Danjuurou to avoid getting targeted by other pro-heroes or the Hero Public Safety Commission (H.P.S.C.).
Once the video was fully uploaded to the websites, Danjuurou immediately disposed of the laptop by launching it with his elasticity quirk towards the sea where the electronic device would short-circuit before sinking to the bottom. He then left the scene with Aiba in his arms while hoping that Enji would face justice for his past crimes.
-Back to Dabi and Endeavour…-
Dabi took out his mobile phone and showed a video that was playing on it to Enji while smugly saying, "I made sure to have someone record my statement about my past and my opinions about this shitty hero society and then have it uploaded to the internet right before I came here. Now, no matter what happens next, you're finished, Endeavour!"
As Dabi made his declaration, many people from around the world watched the video and realised that Enji was even worse than initially revealed and how the current hero society had ultimately failed Dabi. After all, how could the current hero society be deemed as successful if it allowed a heartless abuser like Enji become the No.2 pro-hero in all of Japan and nothing had been done to stop the abuse that led to the creation of Dabi who was an actual villain?
Enji stared at Dabi for a few seconds after the video had ended before he did something unexpected. He started chuckling before he laughed loudly.
Caught off guard by Enji's reaction, Dabi demanded, "What's so funny, Endeavour?!"
"You're talking as though my reputation isn't already burning to ashes," said Enji before he added, "True, what you've done will accelerate it and make it worse but I've already come to accept the inevitable end of my career and reputation."
Shocked by Enji's admission, as the "father" he knew would have raged against anyone who tried to ruin his reputation, Dabi was at a loss. He knew what to do if Enji attacked him, yelled at him or even tried to tearfully deny everything but the pro-hero's resigned acceptance of the situation was so beyond the villain's expectations that he almost failed to notice a certain bunny-themed pro-heroine kicking him on the back of his head.
Noticing the incoming attack, Dabi immediately tried to retaliate with a wave of blue fire but was hit on the face by a shock-wave. Stunned by the attack, he barely had time to look at Izuku, who had hit him with a shock-wave that was created by a flick of his finger while empowered by One For All, before Rumi broke his jaw with a powerful kick.
As Dabi lost consciousness, he noticed Enji calling out to him and thought, "Well, at least I have…. said my piece. Now… everyone will know… how full of shit… you really are… Endeavour." He smirked cruelly as he mentally added, "The past… never dies…!"
-Some time later…-
Rumi, Izuku and Enji oversaw Dabi's arrest after the villain had been knocked out by the rabbit-themed pro-heroine. Given Dabi's status as both a former member of the League of Villains and his current villainous act, it was likely that he would be sent to Tartarus prison. Once the villain had been loaded into a police car to be sent to prison, Rumi turned her attention towards Enji and asked, "Is he really your son?"
Enji nodded and said, "I've seen Touya's blue flames and eyes enough times to know. A DNA test will confirm everything once and for all but I am certain that he has not been lying to me."
Unable to ignore the tired resigned look on Enji's face, Izuku asked, "Are you… going to okay, Endeavour?"
Enji sighed before he relied, "Honestly, no."
A moment of silence passed before Enji continued to speak, "When I first started my career as a pro-hero, I wanted to be the next No.1 pro-hero by taking All Might's place through my own merits. However, no matter how hard I tried, I could never cross the gap between myself and him. In my despair and jealousy, I decided to entrust my dream to my chosen successor. To that end, I married a woman whose parents were willing to offer to me. The rest, as they say, is history."
Izuku recalled the words that he said to Enji on the days of a certain sports festival, "I am not All Might… And Todoroki-kun isn't you." Rumi, who had known about Izuku's past through Sumomo, also recalled the spoken words.
"So… what are you going to do now?" asked Rumi.
"I've… been making arrangements so that my wife and children and live comfortably away from me. It won't undo any of my past actions towards them but at least they will not have to live in the same house as me," replied Enji. Left unsaid was the implication that his wife would be allowed to finally leave the mental ward of the hospital she was currently staying in.
In spite of being aware of what Enji had done to his own family, even Rumi felt some level of pity towards the exhausted and depressed man as she continued to ask him, "What about your career and your agency?"
"Given the scandal and this… attack, I doubt that I will be able to hold onto my licence let alone my agency, or what's left of it," answered Enji before he added, "I'll probably pass the agency to Burnin before the week is over."
Although many of Enji's former sidekicks and staff left him after finding out what he had done to his own wife and children, a young woman with large dark eyes, pointed teeth and long flaming green hair named Kamiji Moe (a.k.a. Burnin) was willing to continue working for him. As for why she was willing to continue working for him in spite of having every reason to despise him for being an abusive father and husband, it was because she owed him for saving her from a group of villains that wanted to rape her during her early years as his sidekick. Between her willingness to continue being professional with him and being the most experienced among Enji's remaining sidekicks, it seems sensible that she would inherit whatever was left of his agency.
"You've been thinking about it for a long while, haven't you?" asked Izuku.
Enji nodded and said, "The H.P.S.C. may want me to continue working as a pro-hero to enforce the law, especially after All Might's… unexpected retirement, but even they have their limits and this attack will probably be the last straw for them."
"That sounds about right," affirmed Rumi who knew that the H.P.S.C. needed capable pro-heroes to somehow maintain the peace. The recent revelation of the Meta Liberation Army and their admittedly non-aggressive demands for reforms in the law only made the need for capable pro-heroes all the more urgent for the law enforcement agency. Regardless of the need, the H.P.S.C. had struggled to maintain Enji's status as a pro-hero and would most likely give up after the attack.
"What do you plan to do after getting your 'arrangements' done?" asked Rumi.
"Honestly, I have no idea," admitted Enji who then sighed and added, "For years, I've strived to become the No.1 pro-hero and then find someone who will achieve that dream in my place. Now that I probably can't even be a pro-hero any more, never mind my family circumstances, I'm at a loss."
Although Izuku knew that Enji had only himself to blame, he also knew what it was like to have one's own dream crushed and said, "For all that it's worth, I hope that you will find something worth living for."
Enji snorted and said, "I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you, Deku."
Little else was said as Izuku and Rumi parted ways from Enji. It did not take long for news of the attack, as well as Dabi's identity, to be aired through the media.
-Some time later…-
Izuku sighed as he gently held Shouko in his arms. Both Izuku and Shouko were excused early from their respective work studies not long after Dabi's capture. As a member of Izuku's harem, Rumi knew that Shouko needed someone to comfort her and that Izuku should be physically and emotionally present to do so. As for Shouko herself, she was Endeavour's the youngest child so the pro-hero whom she was working under was all too willing to have her sent back to U.A. High School for her own sake.
Shouko sobbed as she let out her grief in the cruel realisation that Dabi was not only her missing eldest brother but also the fact that Dabi had actually hated her enough to want to kill her at least at one point in his life. Although she had been kept separated from her older siblings most of the time due to Enji's attempts to mould her into his "perfect successor", she had always believed that all of her older siblings loved her. The realisation that Dabi actually hated her made her recall her past trauma of getting burnt by boiling water poured by her own mother all too clearly. Having the image of her mentally broken mother replaced with Dabi, if not the younger version of the villain named Touya, was extremely easy Shouko's mind to imagine.
"This… is just plain fucked up," said Sumomo who mentally spoke to Izuku after making sure to assure everyone else in the harem that he was with Shouko. Sumomo was also very certain that the other harem members would comfort Shouko with a lot of affection as soon as they were given the chance to do so.
Izuku did not need to say anything, physically or mentally, to express his agreement with Sumomo's statement of the situation. After all, he was no stranger to suffering and trauma, especially after looking through Sumomo, Shouko and Himiko's pasts. Moreover, the idea of being hated by someone whom you had mistakenly believed loved you reminded Izuku about his past relationship with Katsuki a little too much for his liking. True, it was no secret that Katsuki loathed Izuku at the time but Izuku's "essentially blind admiration" towards the blond boy's strengths in spite of his obvious character flaws was not too dissimilar to Shouko's mistaken belief about Touya's feelings towards her.
When Shouko finally calmed down, Izuku gently asked, "Do you… feel any better?"
Shouko was silent for a moment before she quietly replied, "A little. Having you here helps."
Sumomo's mental image appeared in Izuku and Shouko's minds and mentally said, "I don't normally say this, but the two of you shouldn't even think about having any sex tonight even though you're both already lovers."
"Well, I certainly have no reason to disagree," replied Izuku before he asked Shouko, "What about you?"
"I just want to lie down with everyone and forget about today," said Shouko.
"Let's get washed up and go to the meeting room then," suggested Izuku.
Shouko nodded before she and Izuku had their bath together. No one who was present in Dorm 1A said anything when they saw the both of then enter the girls' side of the bathroom together. Even Minoru could tell that neither of them were interested in sex at the time.
Katsuki, who was already regretting his past actions towards Izuku, sighed as he knew that his desire to be the next No.1 pro-hero in all of Japan was disturbingly similar to Enji's own desire. The same could be said about their capacity for cruelty towards people whom they should be supporting and protecting. Had circumstances been any different, Katsuki knew that Izuku would have become his "Dabi" and he would only have himself, if not himself and the rest of hero society, to blame. As far as the explosive blond boy was concerned at the present, not even becoming the No.1 pro-hero in the whole world, let alone Japan, was worth the cruel horror of Izuku becoming a true villain. The fact that Izuku did not hold any lasting resentment towards Katsuki for his past actions in spite of having every reason to do so was already a miracle by itself.
"If only I can confidently say that my past self would have known better than hurt De… Midoriya to the point of driving him to villainy or worse," though Katsuki as he left the dorm to distract himself with extra training at the school gym. He swore to become better as both a pro-hero and a person for it was the least he could do to somehow atone for his past actions.
-That night, in Nemuri's "meeting room"…-
Shouko and Izuku were seated in the middle of a large cuddle pile including the girls who stayed in Dorm 1A, the girls from Class 1B, Nejire, Yuuyu, Nemuri and Thirteen. All of the other ladies present in the room had already comforted Shouko with hugs and kind words. Although Shouko knew that the situation with Enji would not get any better any time soon, she was sincerely glad that she had the support of so many true companions.
They were in the middle of watching a light-hearted anime when they heard someone knocking on the door. Surprised, as they knew that no other harem member was going to come to the room that night due to having duties as pro-heroes, basically everyone wondered, "Who's that?"
Nemuri got up and went to the door to check its intercom. Her eyes widened comically as she realised who were standing at the other side of the door and thought, "Oh, shit!"
Two people stood at the other side of the door. One of them was a young man of average height with a well-built body, spiky white hair and grey eyes known as Todoroki Natsuo. The other person was a young woman named Todoroki Fuyumi who wore red-framed rectangular glasses, had white hair which was flecked with crimson red and had turquoise eyes. They were both Shouko's elder siblings and were clearly there to see their youngest sibling.
"Excuse me?" asked Fuyumi who then worriedly inquired, "Is this Midnight's meeting room? We were told that Shouto… I mean, Shouko-chan is here."
Luckily for Nemuri, she did not need to warn everyone inside the room that Shouko's two elder siblings were intending to see her as Sumomo was already doing just that with a mental warning. Even more fortunately, none of them were doing anything other than taking comfort from being close together so not much was needed to be done for everyone to make themselves more presentable while Nemuri replied, "Why, yes. Todoroki-chan is here with some friends and friends of friends."
"Is… she okay?" asked Fuyumi. She and Natsuo had heard from Nedzu that Shouko was being comforted by her friends so they were not surprised to hear Nemuri's response.
"Better than earlier today at least," replied Nemuri who mentally thought, "What the hell was Nedzu thinking of letting them come here without warning us?!"
A mental image of Sumomo with a deadpan expression appeared in Nemuri's mind and mentally said, "Knowing him, he probably knows that sex is the last thing on our collective minds and has decided to let Shouko-chan's two siblings know that she's doing okay by letting them see her being together with many people who care for her."
Concerned about keeping certain things, especially Eri's presence within the school, a secret, Nemuri mentally asked, "That doesn't explain…"
Suddenly, she received a message from Nedzu which stated, "Do not worry about the details. I will be having a word with them after they have their time together with Todoroki-kun."
Nemuri allowed herself to scowl in aggravation while she glared at the message and grumbled, "A little warning and some explanation beforehand would have been nice!" She quickly put on a friendlier expression as she opened the door to let Natsuo and Fuyumi in while saying, "Please, come in. The two of you must have had as bad a day as Shouko-chan."
"That's… one way to put it," said Natsuo. Of Enji's four children, Natsuo had always resented the pro-hero for abusing them and the recent revelation that Dabi was Touya only made him even more resentful towards his own father.
Fuyumi, who had held onto the hope that their family could be "normal and happy", nodded with a sad expression on her face. Between the "Endeavour Scandal" and the more recent "Unveiled Villainy", there was simply no way for their family to ever be the way she had wanted it to be.
Shouko approached her two older siblings and softly asked, "Natsuo-niisan, Fuyumi-neesan, do you hate me?"
Shocked, Fuyumi asked, "Hate you? For what?" Natsuo was similarly shocked by the question.
"For turning Touya-niisan into a villain, into Dabi," replied Shouko.
Tears welled up in Fuyumi's eyes as she hugged Shouko and sobbed, "O-of course not! You never asked to be born with your quirk."
"If anyone's to blame for this whole cluster-fuck, it'll be that shitty old man," growled Natsu. Just like Fuyumi, he was upset but he felt anger instead of sadness as he was convinced that Touya would not have turned into Dabi if he had not suffered abuse from Endeavour.
"Natsu, please… not now," begged Fuyumi who knew that he had a point but did not want to dwell on it at that present moment.
Although Natsu never had Fuyumi's belief that their family could ever become happy together with Enji in the picture, he respected her desire to not focus on resenting someone else, not even their abusive father. As such, he stayed quiet while letting Fuyumi comfort Shouko. As he looked around, he noticed something rather odd and raised his eyebrow while thinking, "Is it just me of am I and that Midoriya kid the only dudes in the whole room? Also…"
While Natsu knew about Shouko's attraction towards Izuku and Himiko's willingness to turn herself in, he did not know about Fuun, Eri and Melissa being present in U.A. High School. He was therefore confused why they were present in the room with Shouko had to ask aloud, "Shouko, can you please tell me why the villain responsible for turning you into a girl, David Shield's daughter and a little girl are here?"
Shouko and Fuyumi stared at Natsu while blinking in surprise before Shouko started to chuckle and reply, "It's… a bit of a long story, Natsu-niisan."
-One "incomplete" explanation later…-
"So, let me get this straight, Shouko," said Natsu while rubbing the bridge of his nose. He then pointed at Melissa, Fuun and Eri and continued to speak to Shouko, "Hex Girl, whose real name is Juusan Fuun, saved the little girl, Eri, from the Shie Hassaikai yakuza group after her escape from prison. Also, that yakuza group has apparently abused Eri in ways that would actually make our old man look like a caring father in comparison. As for Melissa Shield, she was being mistreated by the people who live on I-Island due to the I-Expo incident which her father was at least partly responsible of. To shelter them from further danger and abuse, as well as the press, Nedzu has, for some reason, decided that they should stay in U.A. High School with you and your classmates. Did I miss anything?"
"That's pretty much about it," replied Shouko while Izuku and the rest of the harem nodded in affirmative.
It should made clear that Izuku and his harem said nothing about Sumomo and the harem plan. The last thing they wanted was distressing Natsuo and Fuyumi even more.
Fuyumi bowed to the group and said, "While the situation is unusual and the circumstances of this meeting could have been better, I'm truly glad to know that Shouko-chan has so many people who care for her."
"Speaking of people who care for her," said Natsuo before he turned his attention towards Izuku and asked, "Are you dating just my sister or multiple girls?"
Caught off guard by the sudden question, Izuku stammered, "W-why are you asking?"
"Natsuo, that's a rude question!" exclaimed Fuyumi who then added, "There's a little girl in here with us!"
"It's also a relevant question, Fuyumi," argued Natsuo, "Our whole family's screwed up because that shi… cra… cruddy old man decided to try making a 'superior version of himself' by having a kid with all of his abilities with none of his weaknesses. The last thing I want is Shouko getting into a another messed up family situation." He then glared at Izuku and added, "Also, I've been hearing rumours of this school having a 'harem king' and, after seeing you surrounded with so many ladies and thinking about it, never mind Shouko's attraction towards you and how a literal villain was willing to turn herself in to speak to you, I'm inclined to assume that you're him."
A moment of tense silence passed before Izuku sighed and replied, "I didn't choose to call myself the 'harem king'. It's just something that everyone else has decided to call me."
Fuyumi gasped while Natsuo narrowed his eyes and asked, "And the rumours that even pro-heroines are in the harem?"
"Depending on the pro-heroine, true," admitted Izuku who was starting to blush.
"What about rumours that you've been deceiving or brainwashing them to love you?" asked Natsuo.
"Okay, that one is just plain untrue," replied Izuku who was honestly offended by the idea. True, Sumomo was involved in the formation of the harem but neither deception nor actual brainwashing was involved.
Izuku's blunt reply surprised Natsuo for a moment before he asked, "As the rumour that you have over a hundred girls in your harem?"
"Definitely NOT true!" exclaimed Izuku who then shuddered and asked, "I'll be a dried up husk if I have a harem of over a hundred girls!"
"He's not making this one up," affirmed Shouko who recalled how Nemuri once almost mummified Izuku.
After hearing Izuku's response and Shouko's affirmation, Natsuo had to ask, "So… how many ladies do you actually have?"
"Twenty-six," answered Eri who was being completely innocent about it. She then added, "He might get more though."
Shocked by the revelation, Natsuo and Fuyumi gaped at Eri for a moment before turning their attention towards the other girls and Izuku. Their sheepish expression pretty much confirmed the young girl's honest statement.
"Okay, definitely less than a hundred but twenty-six is still a big number," said Natsuo before he added, "Especially if you're serious about all of them genuinely liking you enough to be willing to share and not fight over you."
"I still have no idea how I managed to get such a big harem," replied Izuku.
"To be fair, many of us here are friends with one another. Also, except for those who are not members of the harem, we're all attracted to you as a person," said Ochako.
"We wouldn't have formed the harem if we didn't get along with you and each other, kero," said Tsuyu.
"I'm not in the harem and yet even I know that you're a pretty chill dude to hang out with," said Fuun.
"As much as it galls me to admit it, I have come to the same conclusion," grumbled Yuuyu.
"You're also really smart, brave and cute," added Nejire who was clearly okay with the idea of joining Izuku's harem at some point in the future. It should be noted that she had not seen Izuku's memories yet but had heard more than enough from Izuku's harem after pestering them for answers.
"So, other than Shouko and Toga-san, who else is in the harem?" asked Natsuo who was honestly a little afraid to know.
"Due to security reasons, we can't give you a full list but you can say that all the girls here, other than Eri-chan, Hadou-chan, Haya-chan and Juusan-chan, are in the harem," said Nemuri who mentally added, "I sure as hell hope Nedzu's got a plan for this."
Natsuo gaped as he stared at Nemuri and asked, "Wait, does that mean that you and Thirteen are…?" As if afraid to say what was on his mind, Natsuo shook his head and said, "Never mind, I don't want to know!"
"If it makes you feel any better, we all care for each other, including your sister," said Momo.
Both Natsuo and Fuyumi were silent for a moment before Fuyumi asked Shouko, "Is it really true that you're a member of Midoriya's harem?"
"Yes, it is," confirmed Shouko.
"Are you happy being with him even with all the other girls in the harem?" asked Fuyumi.
Shouko smiled and replied, "Yes, I am."
Fuyumi gazed at Shouko for a moment before she sighed and said, "This… isn't exactly a normal relationship and it won't lead to a normal family either."
"We know, but we're willing to give it a try regardless," said Shouko.
"I… honestly can't say I approve of such a situation but I know better than to judge you for wanting to be happy. Just don't be surprised that many other people won't like it," said Fuyumi who was clearly concerned for Shouko.
"Trust me, we know," said Izuku while the girls in his harem nodded in affirmative.
"Also, you're definitely going to tell mother about this!" said Fuuyumi whose sisterly tone left no room for any argument.
"If you do not mind, I would like to accompany Shouko-kun on that day together with Kayama-san."
Surprised, everyone turned their attention towards Nedzu who had somehow sneaked into the room without anyone noticing. The principal of U.A. High School smiled as he continued to speak, "Given the recent situation with Endeavour, I'm sure there will be no issue with her having at least two pro-heroes around to keep her safe while she visits her mother, yes?"
Fuyumi shook her head and replied, "No, of course not."
"You know the whole harem situation, don't you?" asked Natsuo who was being rhetorical.
Nedzu nodded and said, "As Kayama-san has said, we cannot reveal everything about the harem situation, including the names of all the members. However, given Todoroki-kun's very unintended inclusion into the harem, never mind my part in allowing it to escalate as far as it had, I think that it is best that I help her explain the situation with her mother if nothing else."
"How exactly are you responsible for allowing the harem situation to escalate?" asked Natsuo who then clarified, "Other than the obvious lack of keeping it in check."
"Let's just say that I was the only who allowed it to happen in the first place," answered Nedzu who then explained, "Given the severity of Midoriya-kun's injuries due to our inability to prevent the summer camp incident, never mind the fact that he still has faith in us in spite of our failings, it seemed only right at the time to offer him at least some leniency as long as he and his harem are in a mutually consensual and happy relationship." He chuckled as he added, "That being said, having a former boy in the harem was beyond even my expectations."
"Yeah, I can imagine that," said Natsuo. He then turned his attention towards Izuku and asked, "So, how did it happen in the first place?"
Izuku glanced at Ochako and Tsuyu before he started explaining, "Well, it all began on the first day we moved into the dorms…"
-Another "incomplete" explanation later…--
"And that's how I ended up having Nemuri-neechan, Thirteen-sensei, Himiko-chan and even Shouko-chan in my harem," said Izuku. Much like before, he kept Sumomo's existence hidden from Shouko's two older siblings. He also made sure to leave out the fact that the whole harem situation was Nedzu's plan to somehow find the traitor responsible for helping the League of Villains find the location of the summer camp.
"So, do you have any other questions you want to ask?" asked Shouko.
"Honestly, yes," said Fuyumi who then glanced at Eri, who was already drowsy, and added, "But I think that conversation can wait for another time. Besides, it's getting late and we really need to head back home."
"If I may offer a suggestion, this room has more than enough futon mattresses to accommodate you two. I'm sure that they won't mind letting you two stay here for the night," said Nedzu.
Mina grinned and said, "We can even make it a small slumber party to cheer you thee up!"
"You're talking my language, girl!" said Setsuna.
Fuun frowned at Mina and Setsuna and said, "Not that I'm against having a party, but Eri-chan needs her sleep."
"I'm okay… I can… stay up…" said Eri while fighting a losing battle against the urge to fall asleep.
"Nope, you need your rest. Otherwise, you'll end up being sleepy tomorrow too," said Fuun.
"You should listen to her," said Fuyumi who smiled kindly at Eri and added, "Otherwise, you'll never be able to grow up big and strong."
"Okay…" replied Eri before she was gently guided to the bathroom by Fuun so that she could brush her teeth and wash her face in preparation for her bedtime.
"Well, I'm not against staying here for the night," said Natsuo who then added, "Besides, I'd rather not deal with the press… or 'him'."
"While I am worried about father, I'm not against giving him some space for now," said Fuyumi. Although she could not bring herself to hate her own father, she would rather be happy with Shouko, Natsuo and their mother rather than allow Enji into their lives and make their lives miserable again.
"Then you can stay here for the night," said Izuku who then smiled and said, "You two can sleep with Shouko-chan if you want."
"I'd very much appreciate that," said Fuyumi who smiled gratefully.
Needless to say, nothing "naughty" happened that night even though neither Izuku nor the girls in his harem had any plans for that to begin with. As for Shouko, she did not mind spending time with her elder siblings and found comfort being hugged by Fuyumi.
-A few days later…-
As expected, Enji's career as a pro-hero was over after Dabi was confirmed to be his first born son. The former pro-hero did not resist his arrest as he faced charges of abuse with the very real possibility that he would be sent to prison for his crimes. In fact, he quietly accepted all charges against him and only requested that his wife be released from the mental ward so that she could be reunited with her remaining children. He also stated his decision to allow Moe to take over whatever was left of his agency to repay her for her continued loyalty as his sidekick in spite of having every reason to quit.
Moe would later state her reasoning for being loyal to Enji in spite of being tempted to leave him after finding out about the abuse. She would also state her desire to sell its assets and donate most of the money to charities that specialise in helping victims of abuse, including abused husbands. As for what she would do with the remaining money, she planned on starting her own agency and did not mind starting small. While there were people who still disapproved of her decision to remain loyal to Enji, many were willing to give her a chance to prove herself as a worthy pro-heroine.
Although everyone was shocked by the revelation of Dabi's identity, they were already aware of Enji's abusive attitude so Japan was not as badly destabilized as it could have been. Even so, it was clear that the country was on the verge of a great change that would quickly affect every other country in the world. It was merely a matter of whether the change would ultimately be for the better or for the worse.
On a happier note, Shouko's mother, Todoroki Rei, was released from the hospital where she had been living in for years. Currently, she was living with Fuyumi and Natsuo in a house that Enji had prepared for them beforehand. The house was located on a piece of land where the family could live in relative peace in spite of the current turmoil caused by Enji and yet still have the protection of pro-heroes. Even though the Todoroki family would never be whole again, Shouko was glad that she still had her mother and two of her elder siblings. She was also glad that they were willing to accept her relationship with Izuku even though she was a member of an admittedly large harem.
In spite of recent events, including the still-ongoing rumours of "U.A. High School's Harem King", life carried on for many people including Izuku and his harem. However, the same could be said about the ongoing machinations of villains who desired the destruction of society.
-Meanwhile…-
Garaki frowned as he observed Tomura, who was strapped onto an operating table, screaming in pain. While the younger villain clearly had determination, it was clear that his body was having even more difficulty in accepting the quirk, the original copy of All For One, than expected. Granted, All For One was a very powerful quirk but it was supposed to be passed on to Tomura after he had matured further. Given the current circumstances, including the growing fear that both the pro-heroes and their allies among the Meta Liberation Army were quickly closing in on them, Garaki had no choice but to start the transfer of the quirk earlier than intended. Of course, Tomura was eager for a "power up" after losing all of his "party members" but eagerness alone would not be enough for his body and mind to fully adapt to the quirk. Still, Tomura was not dying from the transfer so Garaki had faith that the process would be completed successfully eventually even though time might not be on their side.
Garaki sighed as he thought to himself, "At least we still have the noumus and the high-ends. It's not like the pro-heroes or even the Meta Liberation Army have anyone who will be able to override our ability to control them."
-End Chapter-
Author's Notes:
First of all, I deeply apologise for the late update. I actually wanted to finish this chapter sooner but I got sidetracked by other things for most of January and February. If such distractions continue, I may consider ending this story in a few more chapters.
Please note that this story was written before the canon revelation that Todoroki Touya was deemed dead instead of missing. I have no intention of changing what has already been written but I have left a clear reference to the canon one in this chapter.
I also wrote this story prior to the canon reveal of Enji's family circumstances which were more tragic that what was initially implied in the earlier parts of canon. As such, his past actions in this story are more in line in the early-canon idea that he was a remorseless abuser who only wanted powerful successors.
Readers can look at [Chapter 22] of this story for references of the non-canon Todoroki family circumstances.
In addition, I wish to state that I have no intention of using the "canon traitor" for this story as I have already provided a fan-made traitor for this story.
I plan to update my other stories before going back to this one.
Until next time, go beyond, plus ultra!
