Multiple pairs of eyes open up, taking in their newfound surroundings. All sorts of people were present in the dimly lit room that they found themselves in. Chief among them being...

Misaka Mikoto and Index.

"Silver sister!?! What are you doing here?"

"I could say the same about you Short hair!?! What's your reason for being here?"

The girls had their quarrel as others in the room gazed at them with disbelief, mainly because of their lack of priorities.

The people whom had found themselves in such a strange place with no memory of what they were doing beforehand were:

Misaka Mikoto, Shirai Kuroko, Index, Shokuhou Misaki, Accelerator, Hamazura Shiage, Kanzaki Kaori, Styil Magnus, Itsuwa, Lessar, and Levinia Birdway.

"Onee-sama, try to calm down. We need to analyze the situation in front of us."

Shirai goes into Judgement mode as she recommends a logical approach to their predicament.

"I agree with the brat, so do me a favor and shut your fucking mouth third rate."

All eyes turn towards a boy with pale skin, white hair, and red eyes.

"Accelerator..."

Misaka gains an edge to her voice as she speaks his name, while Kuroko stiffens.

"T-thats Accelerator, the number one!?! Why is he here?"

"I don't know. Is this your doing? Did you bring us here?"

Accelerator looks at them with irritation.

"Hah!?! Why the hell would I bother kidnapping the third rate and her lackies!?!

Accelerator clicks his tongue and averts his gaze.

"He's right Misaka, I believe he is in the same situation as us. Geez, you never cease to amaze with your lack of etiquette ability!"

Misaka then turns see a girl with blonde hair, twirling a remote in her hands.

"Ugh.. you too Shokuhou?"

Misaka shows her displeasure at her appearance.

"While I do recognize some faces in this room, it is clear that we were all brought here for a reason. Can your muscle brain process even that line of deduction ability, Misaka?"

"Why you-"

The girls continued their arguing, while Index stood in silence. However, the girl noticed some familiar faces of her own.

"Kanzaki, Itsuwa, and... Styil?"

Kanzaki and Itsuwa smiled at the girl, while Styil nodded to her. He was slightly happy she remembered his name. Kanzaki then greeted the white nun.

"Index how are you?"

"I'm fine, but I can't remember how I got here..."

"Its the same for us, and I can't detect any mana in the air..."

Across the room, a dirty blonde haired boy approached Accelerator.

"Y-yo Accelerator."

"Hah? Your here too trash..."

Hamazura sweatdropped at the insult, but continued speaking regardless.

"W-what do think is going on?"

Accelerator looked annoyed at the question.

"Tch... hell if I know."

He then noticed two small girls that were conversing to his left.

One dressed in a what seemed to be a lacrosse uniform, with black hair. And the other, with blonde hair, wearing a white outfit with gold trims.

"New light slut, your here...?"

"He he he, is it just you flatsy, no guards or escort?"

(Why the hell does that girl have a tail?)

He didn't get any further into this line of thinking as a high pitched female voice reverberated throughout the room.

"Heyyy! Welcome all! I'm gonna make this real brief due to all the fun to be had!"

Everyone stopped talking and gazed at a screen that suddenly flickered to life. In the middle of the screen was an expanding and minimizing circle, going outwards each time the voice spoke.

Before the voice could continue, a certain Judgement member stepped up.

"My name is Shirai Kuroko and I'm with Judgement."

She exaggeratedly pulled on her green armband.

"Can I assume your the one you brought all of us here?"

"Your absolutely right! I brought you here for a very specific reason!"

The voice said this in a very jubilant tone.

"And? What would that be?"

Kanzaki took a step forward, asking her question.

"He he he, before I answer that, let me ask you all a question!"

The clearly female voice paused for dramatic effect before continuing.

"Who do you think is missing from this room? Or more like in this situation in general, don't you think that what has happened to you all is a stroke of... misfortune?"

Eyes widened across the room, well, except for Shirai, who looked confused at the phrase.

Index was the first to speak.

"T-thats right! Where's Touma?"

"Y-yeah, where's that Idiot?"

Shirai suddenly knew exactly who they were talking about, gritting her teeth in dissatisfaction.

"What does that ape have to do with what's going on!?!"

"Tch! It is hard to believe that the damn hero wouldn't be apart of this."

"The boss is here? Where is-"

"LOVERBOY'S HERE! WHERE!?!"

The girl dressed in a lacrosse uniform screamed this; leaving many people to wonder in mild jealously, why she referred to him as loverboy.

"Sadly the boy you all know and... love, is not here at the moment. I put in some serious effort to make sure he didn't stumble into this place."

The voice emphasized one word in her sentence, leaving multiple cheeks to go red. Well... most of them...

"What the fuck did you say!?!"

"Ha ha ha ha ha! Well, joking aside, the reason I called you all here is to watch some very important things..."

"You kidnapped us!"

Misaka voiced the collective thought.

"Not important! As I was saying, I'm going to show you some memories of the boy known as Kamijou Touma. Whether there remembered... or not. I have the power to reach both..."

Many people looked surprised at this, especially Misaka, Index, and Shokuhou.

"His memories...?"

"Yes... some of these he doesn't remember, and it's probably better that way. And some, he does remember, but has bottled up inside of him, slowly eating away at his soul..."

The voice drops her happy tone as she says these words. It gives the whole room a tense atmosphere.

They begin to wonder what in the world could be dark enough to plague the heart of that happy, go lucky boy.

The one who saved them all, even though some wouldn't admit it.

"Were gonna watch the boss's memories? This should be interesting. Maybe it will give some insight on how he has every girl he meets falls for him... wait...?"

Hamazura looks around the room, seeing the slightly red faces at the boy's comment.

And that was not blushing in embarrassment.

(Oh shit...)

"U-uh I mean it would be nice to know how he deals with his misfortune with such a positive attitude?"

Hamazura says this in the form of a question, then sighing in relief as the mood in the room decreases.

"Actually Hamazura Shiage, you hit the nail on the head there. I will be showing you these memories so you can grasp the heart of the boy known as Kamijou Touma. And why he does the things he does. So without any further ado! Let's begin!"

The people in the room stared at the screen in apprehension.

What were they going to see?

What were they going to find out about the boy that would tear off limb after limb just for a smile?

Well they were going to find out.

The screen changed to black, only one word appearing in it.

[Next Scene: Acceptance]

[Scene Start]

In a suburban neighborhood, somewhere in the many cities and towns in Japan, many people were walking through the sidewalks of this town. The whole place was buzzing with life. The viewpoint centered on three people though. A woman, a man, and the little boy walking between them.

This boy was walking with both hands held by the two beside him. A key characteristic of the boy was his black spiky hair.

"Is that Touma?"

"Why is he a kid?"

Index and Misaka had these questions as they looked at the young boy.

(He had that hairstyle as a kid too? Cute!)

A thought that went through the minds of many girls left them with red cheeks.

"If he looked like that as a kid why did I never..."

Shokuhou says this but ultimately stops.

(Its because of the promise I made to myself... Ahh! But he looks so cute!)

The boy walked with what could only be his parents, with a bright smile on his face, as he was happily conversing with this beloved mother and father.

"Say Touma... would you like to get some ice cream to beat the heat?"

The mom asks the boy this, with a happy smile.

"Really Mommy, can I?"

"Of course."

The boy's smile widens even further, his aura generating the happiness he was feeling.

This made the hearts of the girls soften, happy to see the boy they all know with a smile on his face.

Even Accelerator, Shirai, and Styil, who have a complicated relationship with Kamijou, relax themselves at this pleasant atmosphere.

The family continued walking down the busy sidewalks, making there way to a ice cream vendor in the distance.

"Chocolate! Daddy can I have chocolate?"

The boy addressed his father.

"Ooh... chocolate huh Touma. I think I'm going to have to get some as well! I might eat yours though too!"

The boy's eyes widened comically at that.

"No! I won't let you take my chocolate dad! I'll destroy that illusion!"

Touma raises his fist in the air. Kamijou Shinna and Kamijou Touya laugh at their son's energy.

The room also chuckles softly, mainly at the use of the boy's catchphrase.

"Is this how you were as a kid, Kamijou Touma?"

Kanzaki smiles lightly at the screen.

The trio approaches the vendor and begins to make orders of ice cream.

"We'll have two chocolates, and one strawberry for the lady here please."

The father says this to the attendant. However, the attendant looks at them warily, then lands his eyes at the boy, and gives them a disgusted expression.

"Sorry, but I'm not going to risk dealing with the 'The Plague'...!"

And with that he shuts the metal drop-down in their face. The parents looked shocked at this form of hostility, slight grimaces adorning their faces.

"What!?! Why didn't they give Touma any ice cream?"

Index voices her surprise, mirroring what the room was wondering.

"That was harsh, especially for a kid and his family..."

Shirai said this outloud, wondering what on earth could have triggered such an unfriendly reaction.

"And what did he mean by 'Plague'?"

Itsuwa also muttered this. She was getting a bad feeling about what they were about to see.

The family stood there in stunned silence, the parent's expressions not so happy. But then...

"Y-you know, I'm not really craving ice cream! My-my tooth has been kinda hurting lately."

Little Touma says this quickly, snapping his parents out of their stupor. They looked at their son, who was giving them a strained smile. The parents hurt just by seeing that. The fact that he was doing it again pained them greatly.

"Doing what again?"

Styil spoke up, surprising his companions with his curiosity.

His parents knew exactly why the attendant had refused to deal with them. And that was because of their son. And his misfortune.

A wave of confusion passed over the room. They were wondering what would cause other people to refuse to sell them anything.

"That idiot just trips occasionally right? What does his misfortune have to do with anything?"

Misaka wasn't quite understanding what the problem was.

They looked at the smile their son gave them, to reassure them that he didn't really want any ice cream when he clearly did. The father made an angry expression.

(These damn people!)

His thoughts greatly surprised the room; his raw anger permeating deeply.

The truth was that Kamijou was a boy made of bad luck. Some questioned whether he was really a boy or not. Often calling him names like, The Plague, God of Pestilence, or The Demon.

And this was because where ever the boy went, bad things followed. He was like a lightning rod for all the bad luck in the town. But sometimes, it didn't just directly affect him.

A branch falling from a tree coming crashing down...

Hardware or equipment in his vicinity suddenly malfunctioning and exploding...

And things like wooden floors or high up areas suddenly losing a foothold to walk on...

All caused by the God of Pestilence, in other words Kamijou Touma.

"No way..."

Shirai mutters this in disbelief. She thinks of the spiky haired boy and all her encounters with him. Whenever she saw him she would suddenly get really angry then proceed to attack him. She always passed it off as jealously for trying to steal away her Onee-sama but...

Could it have been something else? Is she adding to his misfortune, making his life harder?

The whole town knew to stay away from the boy known as Kamijou Touma, and conversely his family, or you will attract the ire of his bad luck.

The kids at his school began referring to their bad luck as, 'pulling a Touma'. And this wasn't just the kids bullying a boy with bad luck. Adults would run away when they saw him, spit in his proximity, and more normally, hurl insults at him. But they never got physical, they never really had a big enough reason to.

Well... that all changed today.

Everyone's eyes widened at that. They were wondering what was going to happen to the boy.

Accelerator was feeling conflicted.

Even if he had a rough childhood, he always had his power to defend himself. With all the experiments and scientists constantly hounding him, he could always just fight back if he decided that he was done.

(But that damn hero couldn't even, or more like wouldn't...)

He had these thoughts as he started at the forced smile on the boy's face.

"A-are you sure Touma, we can just find another treat you know. You don't have to-"

"I'm fine Mommy. I'm just happy we can be walking and talking like this. This is more than I can ever ask for... the right to just be with you guys..."

Touma let out these words that seemed wiser beyond his years.

The girls in the room were tearing up at the boy's confession. The purity and sadness were really getting to them.

"Kamijou had to go through this as a child. Even with all this in his head he still... he always... he always fights for a smile."

Itsuwa struggles to say these words, the rest of the room agreeing with her.

"Wow, I never knew Loverboy had it so rough..."

Lessar, for once drops her hyper personality as she gazes at the screen.

"Geez, what a fool, with all those bad memories, he still indulges with my ridiculous requests...?"

Birdway speaks up as well.

Shinna and Touya look at their son with sorrowful expressions. Not being able to take it anymore, they embrace their son and cry softly. Touma looks surprised and smiles, beginning to hug them tightly as well.

"Aww! My prince's cuteness ability is off the charts..."

Shokuhou says this quietly.

The family stayed like that for a bit, not wanting to let go of the feeling in their hearts. The love the parents felt for their son was real and nothing would get in the way of that.

But... like all good things, they have to come to an end...

"I am really starting to hate these ominous messages..."

Hamazura states this in a low voice.

He is truly dissapointed that his friend had to go through such an awful childhood. But... because Kamijou is the way he is, is that Hamazura finally found the right path.

With his friends. The ones he had to fight for as well. But without Kamijou, that never would have happened.

"You..."

A harsh voice of a man echoed through the streets, causing the the Kamijou's to look up from their embrace.

"YOU! THIS IS YOUR FAULT YOU GOD DAMN FUCKING PLAGUE!!!!!"

They noted the form of a man a few feet away. And he looked... well, not good.

Bloodshot eyes, his hair unkept, sweat all over his face. He had a business suit on with a tie. His left hand was clenched into a fist, while his right hand was holding...

The man was holding a rather large knife.

Biri Biri Biri*

Misaka started let out sparks from her bangs.

The man on the screen was clearly planning to do something and, like all the other people in the room, she was on edge in worry and anger.

The man across the street wasted no time charging to the loving family. Still in shock, Touya and Shinna could do nothing as the man pulled the boys arm towards him, kneeing him in the chest, then proceeding to slam him into the street, face first.

"TOUMA!"

"TOUMA!"

"IDIOT!"

"KAMIJOU!"

"HERO!"

"FOOL!"

"LOVERBOY!"

"APE!"

"BOSS!"

The girls and boy's exploded as they all yelled out various forms what they call the boy.

Accelerator turned on his choker and directed a chilling voice to the screen.

"THAT FUCKER WANNA DIE!"

Accelerator let out anger he didn't even know he had towards the man on the screen who was harming Kamijou.

The boy's parents screamed in fear as their son was brutally attacked and forced down. What happened next went so fast, that looking back, Shinna and Touya were truly angry at themselves that they couldn't react fast enough.

"I LOST EVERYTHING BECAUSE OF YOU!!!!! TIME TO GET WHAT'S COMING YOU FREAK!!!!!!!"

And without any hesitation, the man brought down the large knife...cutting deeply into the boy's upperback.

Touma didn't even have time to scream as his face was once again pushed deep into the ground.

"Why!?!?!?!"

Practically the whole room screamed this. Wondering with all their might how someone could do something so evil to a kid.

But the pain his parents could see from the side of his face was enough.

Enough to see that their son was clearly suffering.

And the cause of that suffering... was...

PAINFULLY CLEAR...

"BASTARD!!!"

Touya lept up from his position and tackled the man off his son, getting on top of him and not wasting any time raining down punches on the the pathetic piece of filfth below him.

"Why the hell would you do something like this, bastard?!?"

Touya screamed this at the man who committed such vile act of violence towards his son. The man, who was faced with such a question, let out a crazed smile and responded.

"I just lost everything today! My job, my wife, all of my life savings! Isn't it obvious?!?! The only reason it could've happened was because of that freak of nature over there! B-but now that I killed the demon, I'm saved, were all saved!"

The man continued to laugh maniacally, but was ultimately cut off by a powerful right hook across his face, courtesy of Touya.

"That boy had nothing to do with his own misfortune!"

Kanzaki said this, hatred oozing out of her voice, which many people in the room were matching.

Kanzaki knew all too well what luck was and how it affected others. Although for her, the immense good luck she was constantly subjected too just meant that others around her had to suffer.

Assasination attempts on her life, but people just happening to get in the way at the last second...

Having people praising her unconditionally, regardless of her efforts...

And worst of all, her rise to he a saint, one that is no less than twenty in the world; was such a title along with her magic name all in vain due to her good luck?

Kanzaki had these thoughts as she mentally scolded herself for being so selfish when it came to her good luck, while this boy, one she owed a great deal to, constantly suffered in such a way.

(But for that man to do such a thing! To a boy no less!)

"TOUMA!"

The mother got beside her boy has he lay unmoving in the street. Blood was streaming endlessly down his back as he lay there.

"Touya! Quick! Call an ambulance!"

The mother cradled the boys head in her arms as she said this. Touya wasted no time in unpocketing his phone and calling the emergency services.

While people around them were surprised at the violent act that had occurred, they all began to walk away quickly.

"What are they doing!"

Shirai was outraged that people were just running away despite seeing that someone was clearly hurt. Even regarding that the boy was her enemy, no one deserved that kind of treatment.

Touma lay still on his side, as the blade had pierced his upper back and into his chest. His slow wheezing breaths could be heard as he struggled to breath properly.

"Touma, just breath okay! Mommy's got you, your going to be alright...!"

Shinna was desperately trying to reassure her son that everything was going to be okay. That was all she really could do. Trying to take out the knife from the boy's back would definitely result in their son's death.

"N-no... that's..."

Misaki trailed off with a terrified expression.

She tried to look into the boy's eyes, ready to give him a look of absolute confidence, in order to make sure he knew that he was going to be okay...

But her son's next words shattered that illusion.

"Such... such m-misfortune..."

With a resigned smile on his face, Touma let out these words. He said those words like he usually did, like all of this made sense.

"Wh...at?"

Everyone let out weakly in mollified shock.

This boy... even though he was stabbed... did he really just...?

There was no terror.

There was no surprise.

It was only a boy doing the one thing he always did when it comes to dealing with his misfortune.

And that was acceptance. Accepting whatever happened to him with a smile, like it was completely normal and he deserved it...

A shiver ran through the spines of everyone in the room. The boy's usual phrase of complaining never hurt so much as it did now.

"What the fuck is this!?! This is what he had to go through!?! He went through all of this and he still has the sanity to play hero!?!?!?

Accelerator exploded in emotion as he gazed upon the atrocity in front of him.

The rest of the room was in agreement.

Index and Misaka, who see the boy daily, had their emotions in a downwards flux.

"We cause him so much trouble... we put so much strain on his day... and yet he s-still, h-he still-"

Misaka couldn't even finish as she had to choke back a sob.

Similar thoughts were going through the head of the twin tailed teleporter beside her as well.

Shirai was always hostile to Kamijou. Whether that be drop kicks to the head, raining down endless darts, or just insulting him. But even despite all of that, he was always friendly to her the next time she saw him.

And even when she was waiting to die in that building, with no other option to accept it...

Who had jumped in without any hesitation or reason and saved her from her downfall?

Shirai had these thoughts festering within her.

"I'm sorry... Kamijou..."

These words left the teleporter's mouth.

With heavy hearts everyone continued to look at the screen.

For a parent that had one job when it came to their child, the one thing they were expected to uphold no matter what happens; seeing their own child accept such a depraved act as something that was normal, truly sent a large stake into her heart.

Touya, who had already told an ambulance their position was standing behind his wife, and was also close enough to see the expression on their son's face.

A million thoughts running through the father's head, even with all the things he could do to reassure his son, he only uttered one word to him.

"Why...?"

With this word, without moving his head, Kamijou slowly lined his eyes to his father, focusing in on him.

"Touma, you can show it if your scared... you can let it out if your sad. If your in pain you can tell us! You don't- you don't have to hold everything in son!"

Touya didn't even know the point he was trying to make, also knowing it wasn't the time or the place to talk about such things. Shinna was about to chatisize her husband but...

"Why? *wheeze* y-you wanna know why? *wheeze, well it's 'cause..."

Laying on his side, the young boy reached out his small hand to his surprised mother's cheek, resting it there.

"Touma... *hic* d-don't say it..."

Index started to stream tears down her face as she knew what the boy was going to say.

Shokuhou, Misaka, Lessar, Birdway, Kanzaki, Itsuwa, Shirai, Accelerator, Styil, and Hamazura all felt their eyes burn at the incoming words...

"Its because I want to see you guys smiling... because I *wheeze* love... you..."

Then Touma passed out due to lack of oxygen, with a small smile on the his face. The last things he heard were the wails of his parents and the blaring sirens filling the air.

[Scene End...]

The sounds of intense sobbing filled the room as they were left to sort out what they just saw. Even Accelerator and Stiyl were surprised to see tears falling from their eyes.

All of them began to think of their own individual incidents with the boy. The thing they always asked him after each time he saved them. That one word that usually held so much weight in their minds each time it was spoken. But... it was clear to them now. The reason for so much self sacrifice and unrelenting will power was obvious.

It was because it was Kamijou Touma. And it was none other than that realization that warmed the hearts of the girls.

And for the boys, it was respect, respect of the highest kind. And true pride that they could call the boy known as Kamijou Touma an ally and a friend.

Knowing this, they all thought of the boy that had a place in all of their hearts, whether that be good or bad. And they all thought the same thing...

(Never stop being you...)

"Sooooo... What did'ya think?"

The voice once again extended out into the room, ripping them from their thoughts.

Hamazura was the first to speak.

"It's crazy to think that the boss went through all of that as a kid. He had it rough..."

"Yeah... I mean, it sorta makes sense now why he is the way he is. He's been the same ever since he was just a kid."

Lessar offered her own opinion to the mix.

"Umm... yes, it's truly amazing Kamijou can always smile with a childhood memory such as that..."

Itsuwa says this with admiration in her voice.

Misaka and Index, who already know a bit about the boy's memory loss, begin to wonder how he is the same as he was, even without the foundation. It honestly made everything he did even more impressive.

"I see I see. This is all good. The whole reason I'm doing this is for you to see and understand what makes up the boy known as Kamijou Touma. Which is why..."

The voice changes its tone to a dreary one.

"This next set won't be pretty..."

"What does that mean, if I may ask?"

Shokuhou asks this.

"Well, you'll just have to see for yourself. You need to watch and understand because he won't be able to keep this bottled up forever. And you all need to help him when that time comes. But let me warn you. What ever you see, it was infinitely more painful for him..."

The TV changes to a black screen once again and shows a title.

And that was all it took for some in the room to realize exactly what was going to go down.

And those people mainly being Index and Birdway.

Next Scene: Infinite Hells

That's right! It's about to go down.

The next part is going to be a summarized version of canon.

The world being destroyed, him fighting her, being tortured, the perfect world, his suicide attempt, and then his return. Andddddddd... maybe some more torture! We shall see.

I'm not creative enough to make my own version on what happened. But either way, I just want to write a reaction to everything that he had to go through in that infinite amount of time.

Anyway... hope you all enjoyed

Please review... oh! and feel free to tell me who else you want in the 'room'
