Hey guys! I'm still working on Rebound, but I've also been working on this story, so I thought I'd put the first few chapters up while I was working on the next chapter of Rebound.
I own nothing.
Numbuh 5 was alone in the treehouse, waiting for her teammates to return from the candy store. She had decided to stay in case there were any emergency calls from Global Command.
She was sitting on the couch reading one of her magazines, when suddenly a loud knocking jolted her back to reality.
She hopped to her feet and approached the door, expecting it to be her friends.
When she opened the door, she was shocked to see her sister standing there holding two cups.
The most surprising thing was that she was in her regular clothes.
"Hi, Abby." Cree said to her, smiling sweetly.
Numbuh 5 looked at her suspiciously, "What are you doing here?"
"I just wanted to talk to you," her sister replied, "may I come in?"
"No, you may not come in. You know Numbuh 5 can't let you in the treehouse."
"Aw, please, Abby? Forget the rules for a minute."
"Why are you here anyway?"
"I just wanted to patch things up with my little sister."
That response hit something in Numbuh 5 that brought a flood of thoughts and feelings she'd been holding back into her mind. After all this time, her sister finally wanted to reconcile with her? It felt like a trap, but she didn't want it to be. She knew she and Cree loved each other deep down, but it still hurt her to think about how big the rift was between them.
Now she wants to mend it again. This time, I can't push her away. This time I need to give her another chance. Maybe she'll even surrender.
"Okay, sis." Numbuh 5 conceded, "Let's talk this out."
Cree grinned and handed her sister a cup, "I knew you'd understand. Want some soda?"
Abby took the cup and stepped out of the doorway, taking a sip.
Cree sighed and turned around, leaning against the railing.
Numbuh 5 stood at her side, taking another drink of soda.
Cree hung her head so that her face was hidden behind her hair, "Do you think we'll ever be the same again?"
Numbuh 5 thought for a moment, "Well, right now we're fighting on two different sides. But deep down... I... I still love you."
"I know." Cree replied, "Maybe one day we won't have to be fighting all the time. One day we could just leave it all behind us. You're gonna be a teen in a few years anyway."
Numbuh 5 nodded, downing the rest of her drink as she thought about it.
Her sister looked at her and giggled, "You done with that?"
"Yeah," she replied, handing the empty cup back to her.
Suddenly, Numbuh 5 began to feel dizzy. She clutched her head and moaned.
"What's wrong, Abby?"
Cree's voice sounded strangely distant.
"Numbuh 5 don't feel so good..."
She stumbled back and fell to the floor, her body feeling light and heavy at the same time.
Her vision became a blur of color, which faded into a pitch black darkness.
Cree smirked, throwing the empty cups over the railing as she watched her sister's eyes close.
"Have a nice nap, sis."
She then heard the voices of her sister's teammates.
Oh no, she thought, her bratty friends are back! I gotta get out of here!
Cree immediately activated her B.R.A. and flew out of sight, leaving her sister's unconscious body behind by mistake.
I'll have the next chapter up as soon as I've uploaded the next chapter for Rebound. I guess I'm developing a bit of a system. (I'M A GOOD NOODLE! I'M A GOOD NOODLE!)
No flames etc.
