Wish By Lauren Metal

Summary: Kim makes a wish.

A fluffy little bit, because my muse can only take so much work on my Kim/Jimmy story and my Kim/Sully story before it needs some of it's new favorite couple!

"What's wrong Kim?" Carlos asked as she pulled the bus to the side of the street without warning.

"I think I've got something in my eye," Kim explained. "Everything's blurry all of a sudden."

She rubbed her eye, but it didn't help.

"Blink, it'll come out eventually," Carlos said, watching his partner struggle.

"Thank you Mr. Paramedic," Kim teased, her eyelids fluttering. "It's not working."

"It's probably just your imagination."

"I can't even see. It's definitely not my imagination."

Carlos laughed. He enjoyed teasing her way too much.

"Can you please just look and see if you see anything," Kim begged, tears streaming from her eye. She felt like such a baby.

"Hold still," Carlos said, leaning across the front of the bus. "Don't move," he ordered, placing a hand on her cheek.

His face was close to hers, so close he could feel her warm breath on his skin.

He'd never really noticed how beautiful her eyes were.

"See anything?" she asked.

"You baby. it's just an eyelash," he said, rubbing his middle finger ever so gently across her eye.

"An eyelash?" she pouted. "It felt like a damn elephant."

"Nope, just a big, fat, mascara caked eyelash." he teased, holding his finger, with eyelash resting on it, in front of her face.

"You know what that means, right? Make a wish," Carlos whispered.

She looked into his eyes, silently made her wish and blew the eyelash gently off his finger.

He shivered with the feeling.

"Wish for something good?" he inquired.

"No way, I can't tell or it won't come true," Kim smiled. "And I *really* want it to come true."

"Must be something good then," he said, still leaning close.

"Oh it is," she grinned.

Carlos smiled, and reached up to wipe mascara from her face. "You look like a raccoon now."

"Damn makeup. Is that better?" she asked as he continued to brush his fingers across her cheek.

"Beautiful," he said before leaning in to kiss her without hesitation.

Their lips met, and Kim instantly deepened the kiss with a satisfied moan of appreciation.

"Maybe I should make wishes like that more often," Kim smiled when she finally pulled away.

"Be my guest," Carlos replied as Kim put the bus back in drive. "I don't think I'll mind making sure they all come true."
