The sound of wedding bells rang all over the paperverse, the void began to shrink and worlds began to be restored… and in the Mushroom Kingdom, or what was left of it, Salem was in a fetal position. "Damn those gods… damn them…" She whispered, sitting by herself in the white void. Suddenly, the white void began to shake as everything around her was restoring to its proper form. She let out a gasp as she saw Ozpin, her inner circle, and Cresselia and the Lake Pokemon came back.

"Well, that was eventful." Ozpin said, dusting himself off and turned to Salem. "What's wrong? You look like you've seen a ghost."

"Oz… Ozma…" Salem whispered, and before she knew it, her body would get up and suddenly hugged Ozpin.

"O-Oh!" Ozpin said in surprise.

"Ozma…" She whispered with a happy smile… before snapping back to reality and realized what she was doing, then she pushed Ozpin away. "Hmph! Looks like the world has been repaired so… goodbye, Ozma. Next time we meet, you will perish." She said and walked off in a huff.

"For a brief moment… I felt as if the old Salem had returned…" Ozpin chuckled, watching her inner circle depart. Hazel would look at Ozpin and give a silent nod to him before walking away with Salem. He then turned around and walked back to Beacon Academy while the Pokemon would head back to their world. "I can't help but wonder if I had missed something extravagant…"

Meanwhile, at Flipside…

Everyone slowly awoke, standing up at an upright tower in Flipside. "Where are we…?" Luigi wondered.

"Are we… are we back in Flipside?" Blake wondered as Weiss let out a gasp.

"Guys, look!" She said, pointing in the distance as they saw the void shrinking until it was no more. "It's over… it's finally over…"

"Not without a cost, though…" Hop quietly said as he looked over at Ruby, who was standing and looking at the void. Her hair was still blue and her combat skirt was still blue and gray.

"Lass… are… are you okay?" Gloria would asked as Ruby glanced over at her.

"Yeah… I guess…" She said in a melancholic tone. She would feel a gentle hug wrapping around her waist as Yang rested her head on her back. "I'm… I'm sorry that I attacked you all…"

"It's okay, sis…" Yang whispered quietly.

"Hmm…" Kamek rubbed his chin in thought. "Yang, mind if you take a step back?" He requested as Yang nodded and released her sister as Kamek raised his wand up and fired magic directly at Ruby. When the smoke settled, Ruby's cloak was back to the way it was and Crescent Rose had turned to its original color once more, but her hair was still blue. "My word… it only worked on her cloak and her weapon?" He bowed his head somberly. "I guess Dimentio was right… there's no turning her back."

"…At least you tried…" Ruby somberly said.

"Ah, I see everyone is safe and sound!" Merlon said as he walked over. "Glad to see that you're all okay! …Where's Tippi… and why is Ruby's hair blue?"

"Tippi, no… Timpani… she reunited with Count Bleck… I mean, Blumiere." Blake responded.

Merlon closed his eyes. "I see… she reunited with her special one."

"Yes… and I'm honestly happy for them." Nastasia said before becoming overwhelmed with emotion. "B-but… why… I… I miss him so… much…!" She said, starting to cry uncontrollably.

"Hey… hey!" O'Chunks wrapped his arms around her. "It's gonna be alright, lass! Would teh Count want to see ye bawlin' like this?"

"N-no… he wouldn't…"

"Cheer up! We still have each other. We're family!" Mimi smiled.

"Right…"

"Now, my other question… but I suppose we can discuss this during a meal." Merlon responded. "Saffron could whip somethi-"

"Allow me!" Hoopa said after he came out of his Pokeball and opened up a ring portal to the Mushroom Kingdom. "One trip to the Shy Guy Buffet!"

"Ooooh! That sounds delicious!" O'Chunks said.

"Count me in!" Mimi grinned.

"That… that sounds nice." Nastasia smiled.

Merlon chuckled. "I suppose a nice change of scenery is in order." He said as they walked in.

One meal later…

"I see… that's rather unfortunate…" Merlon said quietly. "I was hoping it would not have come to pass… but it seems that it has. Ruby… I am terribly sorry that you had to go through with that."

"It's not your fault… it's those ancients who wrote up that Prognosticus." Ruby solemnly said. "Those… damn prophecies…"

"Indeed…"

"Is there anything we can do to help you with, sweetie?" Peach asked with concern.

"Honestly? I'm not sure if there's anything you can do." Ruby said as she stood up and walked out.

"Ruby!" Yang walked out to meet up with her. "Maybe Dimentio's wrong. Maybe… maybe there's a way you can go back to being your bright sunshiney self!"

"…You heard him, Yang… the dam broke. He told me that life is like a dam and… he was the squirrel who shoved that acorn into that crack and watched it fall apart… irreparable damage, they say…"

"Ruby, we can repair it! We can try to fix it… we can fix you!"

Ruby glanced at her sister. "Honestly? I don't think you can fix me… and I don't think Byleth can fix this either." She said and walked off, her hands in her pockets.

"Ruby…" Yang closed her eyes, as a few tears ran down her cheeks.

"Give her time." A voice said as Yang turned to see Arceus approaching her. "She had just fallen into despair and had succumbed to the temptations of the Chaos Heart. In time… the rose will bloom once more."

"How long will it take?"

"I am not sure, but I do know for a fact that it will take longer than a week."

"He's right." Mario's voice said as he approached her. "There were times we've had patients in the hospital where recovery took longer than a few days."

"We just have to have faith in her." Arceus said. "If anything, I wouldn't force it on her. You will just have to be gentle with her. She has been through a lot, after all."

Yang looked down. "Yeah… you're right…"

Later…

BGM: Home (RWBY)

"Despair… Chaos Powers…" Byleth folded her arms. "Can she recover?"

"I am not so certain." Mewtwo said as he had done a deep analysis on Ruby. "She still has despair inside of her, and with it… comes chaos. Even if the Chaos Heart has been destroyed and this Dimentio is no more, she still has her Chaos abilities… and on top of that, her innocence has been shattered. I've looked deep inside her… and I felt sadness, anguish, anger, melancholy, depression and much more. This isn't a simple fix like what happened with Xena and her dark side. Irreparable damage… and I'm afraid that she won't come back."

"No… there has to be a way!" Pit said. "There's no way she won't come back from that!"

"Pit, the sooner you realize that Ruby isn't the same anymore, the better. You have to accept the fact that your girlfriend that you once knew… is long gone." Mewtwo said.

"Would you quit being an ass." Dark Pit spoke up. "Yeah, I get it, Ruby's not the same anymore, but who's to say she won't manage to recover from this?"

"Yeah, Pittoo's right! Ruby'll get out of this… I… I know she will!" Pit said. "Because I believe in her."

"And I do as well." Byleth said.

"Hmph… believe what you will…" Mewtwo said as he disappeared from them.

"Ruby…" Pit closed his eyes, putting his hand close to his heart and tightened his fist. A tear ran down his cheek.

In Ozpin's office…

"I just want to make it clear… I am deeply sorry that you had to go through all this." Ozpin said as RWBY was in his office, but WBY was behind their depressed leader. "When I had suggested that you go to the Mushroom Kingdom for the first time, I had thought you all would have had a fun time… have some relaxation. I had no idea that all of this would transpire. You've been through a lot. Fighting Gods, meeting your dark self, having anxiety attacks over Dark Ruby, having threats of destruction weighing down on your shoulders constantly, the urge to run away to Galar because of your doppleganger… you have been through so much. For you to snap right at that moment… for you to give into despair… anyone would have given up a long time ago, but you pressed on. It is commendable."

"Yeah… I guess so…"

"How are you feeling?"

"…Stressed, depressed, angry… sad… anguished… I feel like I want to cry… all of the above… I just… feel like giving up…"

"I do not blame you. Ruby, let me ask you something… do you still want to become a huntress?"

"Honestly… I don't even know anymore…"

"Again, I do not blame you. Becoming a huntsman or a huntress is not for everyone. Which is why… I believe that you ought to take some time off. Take all the time you need until you have a clear mind once more. Beacon will still be here, waiting for you to come back."

"I… are you sure?"

"It's not a request." He said gently. "Everyone is worried about you."

"But… who'll lead my team?"

"Don't worry… I've found a temporary replacement until you return." He said as the elevator opened up as they turned to see Reflet approaching them.

"Sorry I'm late, Robin and Tharja wanted to chat." She said.

"…Robin's twin sister?" Ruby asked.

"Keeps the spirit of RWBY alive."

"I see…" Ruby nodded and closed her eyes. "It's for the best…"

"Don't worry, Ruby… I'll make sure they won't get into too much trouble." Reflet said, winking at her.

"Yeah…" Ruby nodded. "I'll go… pack my things then…" She said and then walked off as WBY looked at her with concern before Weiss turned to Ozpin.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Weiss asked.

"There are some people out there who wants my head on a silver platter all because of Ruby's stress. I had no idea it would get this bad… for I thought the Mushroom Kingdom was a happier carefree place."

"I… suppose that makes sense." Weiss nodded as Ruby's teammates walked off to their dorm where they would see JNPR looking inside their door. "How is she?"

"She's… not well." Pyrrha said as they looked inside to see Ruby on Weiss's bed, her hands on her face but her belongings were all packed up. They would see Chibi Robo leaning against her chest in an attempt to hug her. Yang opened the door and walked inside, gently sitting down next to her and wrapped her arms around her blue haired sister.

"It's going to be okay…"

"I… I know…" Ruby sniffed a bit as she stood up and picked up her suitcase and wiped her tears. She would look up and see Weiss and Blake coming in and hugging her tightly.

"We'll miss you…" Blake said.

"Try… try not to do anything dumb… okay?" Weiss would say as Yang would hug her as all four of them teared up and silently cried with Ruby, then they broke the hug as Ruby walked out and saw JNPR where they would give her gentle hugs.

"Call us every day… or write to us or… something. Okay?" Nora requested.

"I will…" Ruby nodded as she walked out of the academy and into the courtyard.

"Ruby!" A voice called out as she turned her head and saw Yang running over to her.

"Yang…?"

"I… I forgot to tell you something. I… I'll come home and check on you often, okay?"

Ruby teared up. "Yang…"

"I love you…"

"I…" She nearly lost it. "I love you too…" She said, giving her one last hug as Yang gave her a gentle kiss on the cheek as Ruby parted from the hug and walked off as Yang watched her leave as she turned around and walked off, but Yang's emotions got the better of her as she fell on her knees and started crying.

Ruby kept walking, and then she saw a familiar face in front of her. "Pit…?"

"Hey, I thought I'd come pick you up." Pit said with a soft smile.

"Th-thanks…" Ruby nodded before her emotions got the best of her as tears streamed down hard on her cheeks as Pit would instinctively hug her where Ruby would cry loudly into his shoulder.

Meanwhile, back in the Main Universe…

Ruby would be at an ice cream parlor with Pit… when suddenly, a tear would run down her cheek. "Huh?" Pit looked up at her. "Is something wrong?"

"I… I don't know. I'm… not sure why, but… my heart… it hurts and I don't know why…" She wiped her tears.

"Maybe you remembered something that happened a long time ago?"

"Maybe… but I'm not so sure…" Ruby said, clutching on to her chest, feeling saddened. "I'm not sure why I feel so saddened… so… anguished. I feel like I'm in turmoil… why…?"

Pit would get up from his seat and then moved to Ruby's, sitting down next to her and wrapped his arm around her, kissing her on the cheek. "How do you feel now?"

"…At peace." She said, leaning her head on his shoulder. "I'm not sure what happened… but… I know it'll pass, right?"

"It'll always do." Pit chuckled, as Ruby held his hand as they continued to eat their ice cream.

Meanwhile, at the hospital…

Esdeath slowly opened her eyes and slowly sat up. "Nnngh!" She winced, feeling a sharp pain in her abdomen as she looked down and saw a scar on her abs. The scary thing was that the scar looked nearly identical to the mark on her chest from the anime. (Not that there's one on her chest right now.) She immediately flashbacked to Seryu leaving her for dead after her fight with Sephiroth. "I'm… I'm alive?" She wondered as she looked down and saw that she was in her bra and panties, remembering how Seryu stripped her to further humiliate her.

"G-General!" A voice said as Esdeath turned to see Kurome staring at her in surprise. "You're awake!"

"I'm… surprised I'm still alive." She said as she saw the Winter-Ops, plus Winter herself coming in and seeing her awake.

"G-General Esdeath!" Winter stammered. "When… when did you wake up?"

"Just now… how long have I been in here?"

"You've been in here for three days. We were worried sick about you." Wave said.

"Yeah! But we're glad you're still kicking!" Sheele smiled.

"So… what happened?" Najenda asked. "Normally when we see you wounded, it's just a simple "scratch", as you say. But this… this was more than a scratch."

Esdeath closed her eyes. "The thing is… I was ambushed."

BGM: Scent of Silence (Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories)

"Ambushed?" Lubbock said in surprise. "Who would be crazy enough to ambush you?"

"I was doing my rounds in the Mushroom Fields, since I've grown a fond attachment to this place. I saved a young couple from a Grimm attack… and that's when I met him. Sephiroth. He wanted to test my power in case if I'm someone he should worry about should he bring this world to despair."

Sheele turned to Winter. "Is this the same guy who you fought?"

"Yes…"

"Oh."

Winter growled. "So Sephiroth… he did this…"

"Let me finish." Esdeath said. "Both of us fought valiantly, but not without sacrifice. As you can see, I had an impromptu haircut from that long sword of his. Not that I'm complaining… it was getting rather long." She chuckled. "Anyway, I was defeated in battle… and my aura was depleted. He left after our battle… I was surprised that he didn't finish me off, but as I struggled to get up… that's when the ambush happened. I was shot at by an old… acquaintance of ours."

"Who was it?" Kurome asked as Esdeath gave her a solemn look, which was enough to horrify Kurome. "No… no! Seryu… she did this to you?!" She said as Esdeath nodded, which was enough to horrify everyone else.

"Yes… and she made damn sure that I'd die from my injuries. She was hellbent on finishing what she started…"

"And she took your uniform…" Najenda folded her arms.

"Yes… while I don't mind showing off my body… the fact that she went that far is enough to send a chill up my spine."

Bols walked over to her. "Here, general… something to tide you over until we get your uniform back. I thought it'd look good on you."

"Thanks you, Bols…" Esdeath said as she put on her new clothing, which was a revealing icy blue halter top and a dark blue miniskirt that was just above her knees. "There was something else that she said… she said she made sure she did the same thing to Weiss."

Winter looked down. "That's what she did." She said. "She and Adam ambushed Weiss and Blake, and leaving a hefty scar on my sister's chest and nearly killed her hadn't Calyrex healed her at the last possible second." She closed her eyes, trembling. "She may be alive… but she… she's been having nightmares… PTSD attacks… they're all… random!" She said as a tear ran down her cheek. "If I had just been with Weiss and Blake… I would've turned the tide and Weiss wouldn't be like this! If only I'd been with them!"

Esdeath stood up and walked over to Winter, hugging her tightly. "Don't blame yourself, Winter. No one would have suspected something like that." She said. "…Is it true that Whitley nearly suffered a similar fate?"

"Yes… Whitley took a bullet for his girlfriend. He only got hit in the shoulder, but they were able to get away in time."

"Then… that would mean that you, Willow and Klein are the only ones left that she's willing to kill… because she's been branded with that SDC logo."

"Yes… you're right."

"Then effective immediately, your family will be under the protection of the Winter Ops until the Crimson Fang is no more… and I believe the Belladonnas should be under the protection as well. …You know what, no. I believe I can bring some Atlas Military over just in case we're not around your family or the Belladonnas. Maybe I can convince the Ace-Ops to come if General Ironwood is willing… speaking of which, I wonder how he's doing…" She said, trailing off.

"…With all due respect, General… isn't this a bit overkill?"

"Possibly, but this is the Crimson Fang we're dealing with here. You can never be too careful."

"True… but if I may make a request?"

"Hmm?"

"Have some of the military watch over Sienna Kahn and the White Fang… just in case?"

"Ah, Sienna Kahn… I've yet to meet her." Esdeath mused. "But never mind about her, I can arrange that. Now… where is Weiss right now? I wish to speak with her."

"Right now… she's home."

"Take me to her." She requested as Winter nodded and walked off.

Meanwhile, somewhere in space…

A large portal opened up in the vacuum of space, nearby Popstar and Gensokyo. "What the peck? Where the heck am I?" The pilot wondered as she looked at the map. "Huh, did I go into a wormhole? Hmm…" She wondered as she looked at her GPS. "Oh? Hello, what's this… destination to… Remnant? That sounds like fun!"

"Aye, lassie! Where did ye take us?"

The girl winced. "What." She said and turned around and saw a bird. "THE CONDUCTOR?! What the peck are you doing here?!"

"Aye, ye didn't think I'd let ye go off on yer own just like that, lassie? For shame… I liked ya, ye adorable peckneck!"

"Darling darling darling, I wouldn't let ya escape too!"

The Conductor let out a growl. "GROOOOOOOVES! Ye wanted to come along, eh? You award stealin' good for nothin'…!"

"What ya gonna do about it, darlin'?"

"THIS!" He yelled as he tackled him to the ground as they went into a fighting dust cloud.

"Oi… at least it's just those two…"

"HAHAHAHAHA! FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL! You thought you could away from me!" A voice said as a massive shadow popped out. "Kid, I like you too much. I wasn't going to let you get away that easily."

"Oh, for the love of peck! Is there anyone else that hopped aboard?" She asked as she heard footsteps and saw a muscular man eating a sandwich.

"What? Mafia was hungry."

"Now then, where are you taking us, Hat Kid?"

Hat Kid groaned. "Well, I was gonna go to Remnant by myself, but I suppose I can take my friends along…" She said while shaking her head. "It's gonna be a long flight to this Remnant." She said and flew off, unaware of Popstar and Gensokyo was behind her.

Meanwhile… with Ghirahim and a messed up Dark Ruby…

"How much longer…" Dark Ruby moaned.

"I'm willing to bet it won't be much longer." Ghirahim said, munching on a sandwich. It was then that he saw the book started to vibrate. "Oh?" He wondered as the book opened up as Dry Bowser and Dimentio came out of the book. "Ah, took you long enough."

"How long was I gone?"

"A few weeks…" Ghirahim responded. "I've heard there was a Galarian Star Tournament that happened recently." He said and then looked at Dimentio. "Oh? And who's this?"

"A pleasure to make your acquaintance." Dimentio bowed. "I am the pleaser of all crowds, the master of illusions… I am… Dimentio!"

"Ah, so this is our new ally?"

"Indeed." Dry Bowser nodded and then spotted Dark Ruby. "…Dark Ruby? What on earth happened to you?"

"Tch, wouldn't you like to know…" She muttered, looking away solemnly.

"My word… so this is the Dark Ruby I've heard so much about." Dimentio said. "Ah, looks just as sinister as I pictured her… but, I pictured her with two arms, two legs and… well, not a burnt face. In fact, I didn't picture her with Grimm eyes either." He let out a chuckle. "What happened to you, my dear? It looks like you did something that cost you an arm and a leg!" He grinned, causing Dark Ruby to use her good arm to flip him off. "Ahahaha. Feisty."

"With all due respect, your excellency… I think it would be best if he were to have a new look. He'd stick out like a sore thumb in this dimension." Ghirahim said.

"Ah yes, I do look rather thin." Dimentio said. "Allow me~!" He pressed his middle finger to his thumb. "Presto!" He exclaimed, snapping his fingers as he started to glow brightly. Once he stopped glowing, he looked entirely different. He had black hair, his jester hat looked a bit smaller, his eyes were white and black, his outfit was still the same, but he looked about as tall as Ruby… not to mention that he didn't look so… paper-y.

"Ahahahaha! Yes, I look completely different now! Alas… apparently my mask didn't make it out, but we all make sacrifices now, don't we? Hmhmhmhm~!"

"Well, I guess that'll work." Ghirahim said with Dry Bowser nodding.

"Now then… what to do with this one?" Dry Bowser wondered, staring at Dark Ruby.

"Perhaps we can give her a new arm and a leg… but how do we do that?" Ghirahim mused.

"Allow me." A voice said as they saw a portal opening up as a familiar figure walked out of the portal. The figure was enough to make Dark Ruby gasp.

BGM: Zanza the Divine (Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition)

"L-Lady… Lady Medusa!" Dark Ruby exclaimed. "But… but how…?"

"Aren't you the woman who got destroyed by Hades?" Dimentio asked.

"Hades wasn't the only one brought back from the universe's restoration." Medusa explained. "It brought me back as well… and Hades was too eager to show his face to his "friends", that he didn't realize that I came back as well."

"My my my… that's intriguing."

"Hades thinks that he can do his usual shenanigans… but what he doesn't know is that the universe only brought back half of his power. I should know… I feel as if only half of my power has returned."

"Interesting!" Dimentio said with a grin as Medusa walked over and picked up Dark Ruby.

"Where are you taking her?" Dry Bowser asked.

"A place far from here… it is still in Remnant. Let's just say I know a way on how to repair her."

"Lead the way."

Medusa nodded and walked off, holding Dark Ruby in her arms.

"Where, pray tell, are we at?" Ghirahim asked.

"The Land of Darkness." Medusa responded.

BGM: Underworld Castle (Kid Icarus: Uprising)

"Before I made my move against Skyworld, I came here because of the fusion of the Mushroom Kingdom and Remnant. I was curious about the Grimm and I found this place. It was then that I met a woman who gave me the opportunity to command the Grimm." Medusa explained.

"Ah! That's good to know!" Dimentio mused.

"Indeed." Dry Bowser nodded.

"Ah, here's a good spot." Medusa said, staring at a Grimm Pool. "This will allow her to be fully repaired."

"…I thought I sensed intrusion in my home."

"Speak of the devil…" Medusa said, turning her head as did the others as Salem approached them.

BGM: The Next Step Pt. 1 (RWBY)

"Medusa, it's been far too long. How have you been?"

"Revived from the dead, thanks for asking." She snarked. "Your precious Grimm wasn't enough to stop those brats from ruining everything… then Hades took over and wouldn't you know it, he didn't make it out either. As far as I'm concerned, your Grimm are nothing more than wastes of time."

"Ah, but I've been creating much more powerful Grimm."

"Not interested."

Salem looked down at Dark Ruby. "Ah, so this is the one who gained power of the Grimm. I wondered where some of my Beowolves, Ursai and Beringel went…" She said and then looked directly at Dimentio, suddenly forming a scowl. "I can't help but wonder if we have met before."

"Perhaps in another dimension, we have." Dimentio chuckled. "I do have to say though… in this dimension, you have a face only a mother could love… and even then, that's a stretch. I think I know why Ozma keeled over… he took one look at your ugly face and died of fright!"

Salem growled. "Do not… say that name in front of me."

"Ozma?"

"Yes!"

"I wonder how many times I can say Ozma before you fire a laser-" Salem would fire a laser at him, but he teleported away. "Oooh, the good ol' three strikes and you're out routine! I imagine you'd do very well in baseball, though I imagine you'd strike out a lot… just like how you struck out with the gods." He said and then dodged another laser. "Ahahahaha!"

"He sure likes to get under people's skin…" Ghirahim let out a chuckle.

"Enough." Dry Bowser said. "We only came here to repair the broken one."

"Oh?" Salem turned to him. "And who are you?"

"Me? I'm the Emperor Bowser, a powerful warlock that can knock anyone's life out of existence… including yours."

"Oh? Is that a fact? You think your power matches mine?"

"Yes, I believe so."

Salem smirked. "Show me then, your excellency."

"Alright, let's take a step back, this is going to be messy." Ghirahim said as Dimentio snapped his fingers as they teleported onto a cliff edge.

"I believe this is good enough."

"This ought to be interesting." Medusa said as Dark Ruby looked on.

BGM: Your Contract Has Expired - A Hat in Time (GaMetal)

If Temper Tantrums Were A Person - Salem

Dry Bowser and Salem rushed over at each other, where Dry Bowser would deliver an uppercut to knock Salem high into the sky. Salem would recover and sprout bat wings as she aimed directly at Dry Bowser and launched fireballs at him, but he would easily deflect them with his arms as Salem flew down and slammed into Dry Bowser, grabbing him by the arm and tossing him to the side as she fired a laser that struck him in the chest.

Dry Bowser would respond by activating Dashell's power and charging at Salem, shoulder tackling her as he then breathed blue fire at her, engulfing her in flames but Salem would dismiss the flames as she flew up and snapped her fingers as Grimm arms came out of the ground and held Dry Bowser in place, but Dry Bowser would use his strength to pry himself off as he jumped up in the air and punched a stunned Salem in the chest.

Salem snarled and then flew to the ground, grabbing a hold of Dry Bowser and slamming him into the ground as he looked at him with a smirk, but Dry Bowser snapped his fingers as lightning bolts struck Salem in the back as she let out a pained cry as Dry Bowser kicked her off of him as he jumped up into the air and slammed right on top of her as he pinned her down and started punching her in the face repeatedly before Volcanic Punching her cleanly in the face and left her in a crater as he jumped off.

To his surprise, Salem sat up as her face reformed. "Interesting…" Dry Bowser mused as a maelstrom surrounded Salem's legs as she flew over and sucked Dry Bowser inside and launched him out, but Dry Bowser recovered and breathed fireballs at her. Salem would bat away the blue fireballs as Dry Bowser then unleashed Oblivion fireballs on her as Salem smirked and batted them away, but she would see the fire would stick on her arms.

"Huh?!" Salem said in surprise as she tried to shake it off, giving Dry Bowser an opportunity as he ran over and breathed Oblivion Fire in the maelstrom, catching it ablaze as Salem was caught on fire. "Aaaagh!" She yelped as Dry Bowser jumped over and Volcanic Punched her into a Grimm pool.

"Heh." He smirked as he turned around, but Salem emerged from the Grimm Pool as Dry Bowser turned around, only to get hit with a full force of a powerful fire punch that knocked Dry Bowser's bones off of his body. Salem smirked wickedly, but her eyes widened as the bones came back and repaired himself as Dry Bowser would punch a hole into Salem's abdomen as he then picked her up and slammed her into his knee a la Bane, and then kicked her away as Salem repaired herself.

"It seems we can both repair ourselves." Salem said. "Your power is something to behold."

"You ain't no slouch either."

End BGM

"Respectable." Salem said, dusting herself off as she turned to the crater that Dry Bowser had made with his Volcanic Punch. "Very respectable." She said. "If you want, I could give you some of my Grimm."

"Forget it, lady. I have my own army."

"Very well." She nodded as Dimentio teleported them back to the two. "Now then, let's get her in the pool." She said as Medusa would drop Dark Ruby into a Grimm Pool, where a hand would burst out of the pool about a minute later, as Dark Ruby emerged from the pool, letting out heavy breaths as almost her entire body was Grimm, save for half of her face and hair. There was a new Grimm arm and leg for her.

"Hahahaha… HAHAHAHAHAHA!" She laughed hysterically, bringing out her scythe. "I have been… REBOOOORN!" She yelled, her voice completely warped.

"Say goodbye to being called Dark Ruby… for you are now called Grimm Ruby." Medusa said.

"Thank you… Lady Medusa. I am honored that you care for me more than that sniveling idiot who is Hades."

"Ruby, you say!" A voice said as they saw Tyrian approach the group. "The same Ruby that I've heard so much about from Cinder?" He let out a sadistic chuckle and clapped his hands excitedly. "Why, I had no idea we were going to drop her into the liquid!" He said as he approached her. "Why, we can have her be part of our army!" He said, wrapping his arm around her.

"Don't touch me."

"Aw, what's the matter, my dear? We were just getting acquainted!" He said, his scorpion tail curling, something that Grimm Ruby took notice of.

"…Tell me something. Do scorpion tails regrow?"

"No. Why?"

"Such a shame." She said, and then her eyes glowed, disappearing from Tyrian's grip.

"Huh?" He wondered… and then felt his tail get chopped off. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!" He yelled as he fell on both knees as Grimm Ruby smirked viciously, tossing the scorpion tail away. "You… YOU BITCH!"

"I know what I am." Grimm Ruby chuckled.

"Ooooh, can you do that for Salem as well? Might as well make her shorter off of that high horse that she's on." Dimentio chuckled, hearing an annoyed growl from Salem.

"We've got what we came for, now let's go." Dry Bowser said as Dimentio snapped his fingers and teleported them away.

"Come along Tyrian, Watts will get you a new tail." Salem said and walked off as Tyrian walked with her, but he was moaning about his "precious tail" getting lopped off from that "bitch".

Back at Dry Bowser's hideout…

"Ahahahaha… oh, this is GLORIOUS!" Grimm Ruby smirked, doing a few punches and kicks with her new arm and leg. "That bitch won't know what'll hit her!"

"My work here is done." Medusa said and walked off.

"Hey, hold on a second." Dry Bowser said. "How about you join our side?"

"Oh? And what do I get out of it?"

"To have revenge on those who betrayed you… and you get to take over Skyworld and the Underworld."

Medusa folded her arms, deep in thought. "Take over the Underworld… have revenge on those who betrayed me… and take revenge on Palutena?" She said and then smirked wickedly. "You have yourself a deal, bonehead." She said and walked back to the group. "Now, Grimm Ruby… let's train you up."

"Oh?"

"You have a new body, you're not exactly used to it. Allow me to help you with that. After all, you're full on Grimm now. Let's have some fun and… give you some new powers. Who knows, you might make some Grimm all on your own."

Grimm Ruby smirked wickedly. "If it means destroying Ruby, I'm all for it."

"So! Now what?" Ghirahim asked.

"I suggest we lay low for a while." Dry Bowser said.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" Dimentio wondered.

"I feel as if something big is about to happen…"

Meanwhile, back at Salem's domain…

"Salem." Hazel walked to her while Watts was busy with making a new tail for Tyrian.

"Yes?"

"We have reports of Grimm being bloated in the shape of a balloon."

"What?!" Salem said in surprise. "First the Grimm get these green eyes and now they're being bloated by balloons? Who is responsible for this!"

Meanwhile, somewhere else…

Sephiroth let out an amused chuckle. "You must have a death wish if you decided to challenge me." He said, looking at a muscled up pig.

"Muh muh muh muh…"

"And yet, to my surprise, you're still standing… but you will not be for long." He said, charging up a Gigaflare attack. "Any last words?"

"Your arrogance blinds you. Perhaps you should keep an eye on your surroundings."

"Hmm?" Sephiroth raised an eyebrow. "Now what do you mean by-" Suddenly, he was hit by a laser in the back. "Mmmph!" He grunted as he took a step forward, and noticed that he was slowly turning to stone.

"Nyah ha ha ha ha ha ha! Midbus was just a distraction! I HAVE CHORTLES!"

Sephiroth let out an amused chuckle. "How careless of me. Next time, I will be ready… do you have a name?"

"You amuse Fawful! You think you're going to get out of this petrification? Fawful laughs at you!"

Sephiroth closed his eyes. "Fawful… I will be sure to remember that." He said before completely turning to stone.

"Well done, Midbus! The prototypes of the Mushrooms have been a success. The shadow dogs have been bloated like a balloon."

"Excellent… now what?"

"We proceed with the rest of phase one."

Later that night…

"Hnnng! Hrrrrgh! Mmmph!" Fawful was pushing another statue.

"Need help?"

"No, I got this." He said as he tried to push but fell on his stomach. "…Okay, I need help." He said as Midbus would push the statue along until it was placed along the entrance of the Shy Guy Buffet. The statue… was none other than King Dedede himself.

"Now then!" Fawful pulled out a list. "Let's see… where are you, my fat penguin."

Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, Neo, Roman, Ganondorf, King Dedede, Wolf, Wario, Waluigi, Dark Samus, Ridley, King K. Rool, Sephiroth

"Ah! There you are." Fawful crossed out Dedede's name. "We got every villain on here! …Well, actually… Cinder is the only one missing." He said. "I have the confusion, where is she? Oh well, when we find her, we'll find her. Nyahahahaha! Now then… we have no interference of our grand plan to take over the Mushroom Kingdom!"

"Now what?"

"Now? Now we go to phase two of our plan. Do you have the Best Fitness Friends at the ready?"

"Yes."

Fawful smirked wickedly. "Excellent."

Surprise Post Credit Scene!

It has been over a month in the paper universe, and Ruby was seen walking to Summer's grave. Her blue hair was longer and over her shoulder blades. Her hair looked disheveled, she had a bit of a slouch, and to top it all off, she had bags under her blank silver eyes. She stopped walking and looked directly at Summer's grave. She closed her eyes and solemnly bowed her head. She heard footsteps behind her, but she didn't pay much mind.

"Hello there bitch… it's been a while." A voice chuckled darkly.

Oh hell. Ruby thought to herself, but decided to not say anything, or not even acknowledging her.

"What… you're not going to acknowledge me, you fake?" Dark Ruby smirked. "You're just going to ignore me just like that?" She let out a chuckle, readying her scythe. "Fine then, gives me more reason to end your pathetic life!" She said. "…Ruby! Cower in front of me like you usually do! Ruby!"

"Ruby… how long has it been since I referred to myself as that…" She suddenly said. "Piss off."

"Oh wow, getting a little aggressive there, are we? Tch, that's fine by me… I'll just go ahead and kill you right here." She said as she rushed over. "I don't care if you have a new hair color, I know it's still you!" She said and then slashed at her, but Ruby disappeared from her moments before the blade hit her. "Huh?!" She said in surprise as she saw her floating above her as dark magic appeared in her hands.

"I said… piss off." She said, launching a fireball at the stunned Dark Ruby, knocking her back.

"Agh!" Dark Ruby grunted as Ruby landed on the ground. "So you got a few new tricks! Should I be impressed?" She asked.

"Can't you see I'm mourning over the loss of my mother? Do you even have a heart… oh, wait… you never had one."

"Is that supposed to scare me? It's not gonna work!" She said and rushed at her, but Ruby would slow down time as she walked forward and then grabbed Dark Ruby by the neck, resuming time. "Nnngh! H-huh?!" She wondered as Ruby slammed her head into a rock. "GAH!" She yelled as she was kicked away but Dark Ruby recovered and rushed at her, but in a flash, Ruby had her scythe at Dark Ruby's neck, just deep enough to cause some bleeding. "Wh-wha… what…" Dark Ruby said, her voice getting a bit messed up.

"Shut up. I can't stand the sound of your awful voice. I am so sick of your shit." She said, pulling away as blood trickled out of Dark Ruby's neck as she held on to it, but Dark Ruby's eyes were filled with horror and confusion.

"What… what are you?!"

"Chaos Ruby." She said, lifting her hand up and telekinetically lifting Dark Ruby up as she clenched her fists as she felt her muscles being torn apart, and then her arms and legs were ripped apart as she screamed in agony, she was then hit by a bolt of lightning as she screamed in more pain as Dark Ruby was brought down with blood spilling everywhere. She readied her scythe and with one swing, she slashed Dark Ruby's head clean off, with blood spilling everywhere.

"Good riddance." She said as she dropped Dark Ruby's torso on the ground as blood splashed and landed on her cheek, but she paid it no mind. She put her scythe away and bowed to her mother's grave. "I've done it, mother… she is no more." She said as she turned around and decided to take Dark Ruby's cloak and scythe before walking back to her home.

Summer walked toward her grave and then looked at what remained of Dark Ruby. "…Ruby… what happened to you?"

And with that... this story is finished... and we are going into the next story! Bowser's Inside Story! See ya then!
