Author's Note:
Thank you to all for your encouragement in reading and reviewing this story. It was probably my most important story to date and I hope that I have given a voice to many who continue to be denied a seat at the table when it comes to understanding their desires and 'fixing' their disabilities. We have come a long way since the horrors of the last century, but there's still work to be done. Listening is a start and it is my hope that I've opened a door for people to do just that.
Special thanks to Alex, LJD, KittyKat, IdaBlue, TheSunIsUp, Country, Alkibiades and Guest for leaving your feedback. That is so important as an author and you all are very much appreciated. A very special thanks to a special friend with a disability whom I consulted as I wrote certain segments of this story. She knows who she is and there'd be no story without her. I'm very happy to call her friend.
As promised, I'm including some of the resources that I studied in developing this story.
Because Fanfiction strips links, I am providing titles for those who want more information on any of the topics covered therein.
