A/N: My house move has been pushed back by at least a week. Unfortunate for me BUT it means I've been able to write a new chapter. This is the last chapter before Bella arrives, which will mean drama.

As usual I own nothing that you can recognise.

December 24th, 2004

Another Christmas Eve, and another Christmas that Paul is staying with us. Sam has let him off patrol tonight and tomorrow since Dad invited him to stay with us like last year. He said he will do a quick run himself Christmas morning and again in the evening just to be safe, but since the only vampires they have come across in the last year since they all phased are the Cullen's, he's happy for them to all have some time off with their families.

I lie in bed playing with the promise bracelet Paul gave me a year ago and smile to myself. I look at the empty space next to me and sigh happily. I stayed at Paul's last night, and he was up early to run patrol with Jared. When he comes back we'll have a few hours to ourselves before we head to my house.

I think about the last year, and how so much has changed since last Christmas Eve, the whole wolf thing being the biggest change. I'm proud of the three of them for accepting what they are and protecting their tribe whilst still keeping up with school, and in Sam's case, building a business. They have become close over the last year, real brothers even if they are not brothers by blood. Emily, Kim and I have become close too, and the six of us see each other as family. Being part of the pack has been good for Paul too; he has a family now, along with Dad and I, something I know he's been missing since his gran died.

I decide to get up and make Paul some food ready for when he gets back from patrol. The appetites on those three still amazes me, even now. When Emily, Kim and I head to the grocery store we often get funny looks as we each pile a cart high with groceries. We long ago learned to ignore them.

After I shower I head downstairs and start making breakfast; pancakes, bacon, sausage, hash browns amd scrambled eggs. I also make some toast. It's nearly ready when I hear laughing outside and it isn't long before Paul and Jared walk into the kitchen messing around. Paul heads straight over when he sees me and wraps his arms around me from behind, kissing my temple.

"Hmmm smells good." He says as Jared pretends to gag at the display of affection. I roll my eyes and throw a towel at him as I turn around in Paul's arms. Jared catches it, laughing.

"I thought you would be hungry after patrol." I sigh, kissing his lips softly.

"Hmmm." He hums as he nuzzles my neck, taking a deep breath. "You know us. Always hungry." I laugh softly in response.

The three of us eat breakfast and then Jared heads home. Paul and I are on the couch watching TV, arms wrapped around each other.

"Let's go for a walk along the beach." Paul says a little while later.

"Hmm sounds good." I reply.

We grab our jackets and shoes, and once we're ready we head to the beach. We walk along, hand in hand for a few minutes before Paul stops.

"Oh my god." He whispers.

"Paul? What's up?" I ask, concern lacing my voice.

"Nothing's wrong, I just realised something." He replies. I look at him expectantly.

"You remember the day I imprinted on you?" He asks.

I nod. "You stared into my eyes, it was like you were in a daze."

He nods. "When we imprint, we see flashes of our lives with our imprints. All three of us had them, and we thought they were just flashes of what our lives could be like with our imprints." I hum but keep quiet, waiting for him to continue.

"When I imprinted on you, one of the flashes was us walking along the beach, hand in hand." He continues.

"Like we are now?" I ask.

"Not just like we are now, this is what I saw. The same place, the same clothes, everything. I think those flashes aren't what things could be like, but they're actually flashes of our future." He says, smiling.

"What else did you see?" I ask. His grin widens.

"I saw this, us on the beach; a beach wedding; you pregnant with our first child and my arms wrapped around you, hands resting on your bump; me playing in our yard with our young child, whilst you watch from the porch, pregnant again."

My eyes glisten with happy tears. If what Paul says is true, we will be married and have the family I've been dreaming of with him. Paul pulls me close and kisses me passionately. He pulls away when we both need to catch our breath.

"Liv, I didn't just bring you down here for a walk." He says, suddenly becoming obviously nervous. I watch as he reaches into his pocket and pulls out a small box, and I gasp as he drops down to one knee in the sand.

"I know we're young, but I've known for a long time that you are the one for me. Imprint aside, I've always felt drawn to you, and long before I became a wolf and imprinted on you, I thought you were my soul mate, my twin flame. I love you, Olivia, and I want nothing more than to spend the rest of my life with you. Will you marry me?"

I stare at him for a moment, taking in what he just said before replying.

"Yes, yes I'll marry you." I say, happy tears falling down my face. Paul pulls the ring from the box, a diamond solitaire set in a white gold band, and slips it on my ring finger, before pulling me into his arms and kissing me again. He pulls away and wipes the remaining tears from my cheeks with the pads of his thumbs.

I suddenly realise something and gasp. Paul looks at me with a raised eyebrow.

"What is my Dad going to think?" I ask worriedly.

Paul smiles and kisses my forehead.

"He'll be happy for us. I already asked for his permission to propose." He says, pink colouring his cheeks a little.

"You did?" I ask.

"I did." He replies. "I asked him a couple of weeks ago. He agreed, said he has never seen a couple more in love. He did say we have to wait until after graduation to actually get married though."

I laugh in response. "Of course, after graduation works for that beach wedding."

"It certainly does." He replies, a twinkle in his eye.

We walk along the beach a little more before we head back to Paul's house. We gather our things before heading to my house. When we arrive Dad is in the living room watching a game on the TV.

"Hey Dad." I say as we walk in.

"Livvy, Paul." He replies. He turns to Paul and raises an eyebrow, silently asking a question.

Paul chuckles lightly. "I asked her earlier, we went for a walk down the beach."

"And?" Dad asks, turning to me.

"I said yes of course." I reply, holding up my right hand to show him the ring.

Dad smiles widely.

"Congratulations to you both." He says. "I've always said you're like family, now you really will be." He says to Paul, clapping him on the shoulder.

"Thanks Dad." I say, smiling happily.

"Just remember, no wedding until after graduation. And definitely no grandkids before then either." Dad mumbles, going slightly red.

"Daaadd!" I groan out. Paul just smiles.

"We get it, no wedding and no babies until at least the summer." Paul says. "We did agree that a beach wedding this summer is what we would both like."

"If that's what you want. Just graduate first. Please." Dad says.

"We promise." I say.

We all sit down to watch the game, before ordering take out for dinner.

Paul and I eventually head upstairs for the night. We get changed and climb into bed, before falling asleep in each others arms.

January 5th, 2005

Today is the first day back at school after winter break. I wake up with Paul's arms wrapped around me as usual. I smile and remember Christmas Eve and Paul's proposal. I also remember everything else he saw when he imprinted, and I know I can't wait for our life together and those flashes to become reality.

Christmas was quiet, just the three of us. Paul and I treated Dad to a new flat screen TV as his Christmas gift. He absolutely loved it and raved for hours about how amazing it will be to watch sports on it. He gave both Paul and I money again as he wasn't sure what we would want, and he thought we could put it towards saving for our wedding if there is nothing else we need.

Brooke and Faye were ecstatic that Paul proposed, and are so happy for us. The rest of the pack were also thrilled for us, and Emily and Kim have both promised to help plan the wedding. We had a small gathering for the six of us the day after Christmas, our own pack Christmas. Jared joked about Paul being even more whipped now he's engaged, but soon stopped when Kim gave him a 'look' causing everyone to laugh hard.

Paul's grip around me tightens slightly and I lean up to kiss his lips softly.

"Time for you to wake up, you need to go run your patrol with Jared before school." I say.

Paul groans at me and opens his eyes. "But I want to stay here." He pouts.

"As much as I would love that, Dad will be up soon and you need to be gone. It will soon be summer and I will be moving in with you, then I can be in your arms whenever you want me to be." I reply.

"Hmmm, can't wait." He says.

We both climb out of bed and Paul jumps out of the window after kissing me goodbye. I get ready for the day and head to school, saying goodbye to Dad when I see him downstairs.

School passes by quickly and I'm soon back home. Dad is sitting at the kitchen table when I walk in. He puts the paper he was reading down and looks at me.

"Please sit down Livvy, I need to talk to you." He says.

I get a nervous feeling in the pit of my stomach.

"What's going on Dad?" I ask.

"I spoke to Bella earlier today. It would seem that Renee is missing Phil whilst he's travelling, and she doesn't want to hold her back. She's moving here in a couple weeks." He tells me.

"Bella's moving here? Are you serious?" I ask incredulously. He nods in response. I groan loudly.

"I couldn't say no when she asked Livvy. She's my daughter, just as you are." He says.

"I know Dad. I get it. You let me move here when I asked so you have to let her too. I really do get it. You know she's never spoken to me in nearly two and a half years though, so things will be awkward. Don't be surprised if I start spending more time on the reservation with Paul." I say.

"I know, and I understand." He says.

We chat for a while longer before I make dinner for the two of us. After dinner I head upstairs to do my homework, and then I get ready for bed. Paul arrives through my window as I'm climbing into bed.

"What's up?" He asks as soon as he sees me.

"Bella's coming to live with us." I complain.

He climbs into bed and wraps his arms around me.

"You know you can stay with me whenever it gets too much, right?" He asks.

"I do, and I told Dad to not be surprised if I spend more time on the reservation than I already do." I reply. "I just know that Bella coming here will cause so much havoc."

"I agree, but for now we enjoy the peace whilst it lasts." He says, kissing my head.

I roll over in his arms and lean up to kiss him.

"I love you. Good night." I say.

"Good night. I love you too." He replies before we settle in each others arms and drift off to sleep.
