Conclúid (Conclusion)
A/N: Well, I know it's Wednesday but I'm excited to mark this as complete and give y'all the conclusion. I hope that this is satisfactory for you all. I want to thank all of you guys for your reviews and kind words. The love and support is amazing, thank you so much. I want to thank my prereaders: Maplestyle, Bitter Harpy, AGoodWitch, SassyNoles, and 2 brown eyes-these ladies read and reread and let me bounce ideas and were completely honest. They are amazing and this story is better because of them. A HUGE shout out to my beta Mel Cee. This was the first story we worked on from start to finish and she has made my writing better and makes me really think about what I'm trying to get across. Thank you! So, sorry about the long AN but it's the last one you'll have to read for this story. Enjoy!
9 months later
To say that life had changed in the last nine months since we got rid of Caius was an understatement. One of the biggest adjustments was not being able to work for a while due to the clinic being put back together. Edward got very little done during that time, and I think Carlisle sped things along just so I would let him get out of our bed. Edward met with the new leader of the Italian family, some obscure cousin that Caius had, and the accord that Aro and Carlilse had made was back in effect. Edward said that Stefan seemed like an honorable man and was embarrassed at his cousin's abhorrent leadership.
We were back at our house now full time. Anytime I tried to refer to it as just Edward's house, I was swiftly corrected. Since that night in the warehouse, I was his equal in all things. Even though I was instrumental in taking Caius down, now I was more than content to go back to just being the mafia doctor. But that was a choice I made, and even then I was fully supported by the entire family.
Alice and Jasper had finally gotten their huge wedding, and it was an event not to have been missed; they had been planning it for almost a year. I ended up being Alice's bridesmaid, deferring the maid of honor role to Rose. I wasn't a fashionista, so I felt Rose's and Alice's energy mixed better to make it an amazing experience.
In a surprising turn of events, Rose and Emmett eloped. They went to Vegas for a weekend trip and came back married. Esme almost had a coronary over it, and I iced Rose out for about a day. In the end, I was happy she found the one, but I was hurt that I had missed her wedding.
Which all brought us to where we were today. My wedding to Edward. A few days after we collectively took down Caius, once we returned to our home, Edward had proposed to me, with the ring and him down on one knee. I, of course, had emphatically said yes. The look on his face when I agreed, one of pure happiness, was one I'd always remember. It would be a lie if I said that I was expecting it. There was no doubt that he loved me, and I loved him, but looking back over everything that had happened with us, and to us, I don't know that I ever imagined marriage was on his mind. His proposal wasn't grand promises and million dollar words. Just a simple declaration about how I was the only person who was ever able to break through his armor. He told me how he never regretted a single minute of our relationship because even the hard parts helped us to grow, as individuals, but more importantly, together. It was simple but coming from Edward it was astronomical.
I looked down at the finger that now held my ring as I thought about our relationship. I was in complete agreement that it helped us grow. He had given me what was just like any other engagement ring, diamonds and platinum, but the setting holding the main diamond in place was two celtic knots—showcasing the groom's Irish heritage and the family I was marrying into.
Alice finished buttoning the back of my dress, smoothing down the fabric and making sure the skirt fell the right way. I smiled at her in the mirror and she threw her arm around me, hugging me. "We're gonna be sisters, Bells."
That was another thing that had changed. Everyone called me Bells now, not Bella, but Bells. They had all heard the story about how my dad had called me that and they all adopted the nickname. Carlisle and Esme still called me iníon. In a few minutes' time, I would legally be their daughter, but it still felt better that they called me that without the Cullen attached to my name. Because of the fact that my own father was deceased and Carlilse was the closest thing I had to one, he would be the one giving me away. Ironically, to his own son.
Rose breezed into the room, wearing her bridesmaid dress and holding all our bouquets. I had two people standing with me. Rose was my matron of honor and Alice was my bridesmaid. Edward had his best friend Emmett as his best man and Jasper was a groomsman. Emmett had been making jokes all week that he was gonna sleep with the matron of honor like a good best man would do. We all rolled our eyes as Rose called him an idiot. It was interesting to see us all come full circle.
Since nearly every minute had been spent with Edward in the last nine months and the several months before that, going twenty hours without seeing him was starting to fray on my nerves. I just wanted to marry him, get rid of our guests, and then go somewhere with him where it would be just us. Even though we had been living together since we left the Cullens', there was always someone around or someone who wanted something from one of us. I loved my family, but if it wasn't them, then it was patients. I needed a vacation and I only wanted my best friend, lover, husband—soulmate—with me.
Carlisle came into the room and gave me a warm smile when he saw me. "Mo iníon, you look beautiful." He cupped my face and I couldn't help but smile sweetly back at him. "They are just about ready for you. You want to get this show on the road?"
I chuckled and nodded. "Yeah, I want to see my Edward."
"He said the same thing, leanbh."
We all got into formation and then met the guys, minus Edward, outside in the hall. We were doing a traditional church wedding. When I tried to argue against it, Esme looked like she was going to cry, so I just let it go. It wasn't a huge deal, and the church we were in was beautiful. As Alice and Rose disappeared into the chapel, Carlisle linked arms with me and I gripped onto his forearm. We smiled at each other for a second and then it was our turn to walk in. Having everyone stand when I entered the room made me feel under the spotlight, which I normally hated, but the minute my eyes met Edward's vibrant jade ones, all my worries and thoughts melted away. All I could think about was making it down that aisle, when I would get to touch him and be comforted by his scent.
We made it to Edward, and after a kiss to my cheek, Carlisle joined our hands. My entire being sighed in relief at being next to this man who had completely consumed me: heart, mind, body, and soul. Everything that we were was tied together, and I never had felt more whole and complete in my life. As I pledged to take him in sickness and health and stay by his side as long as this life afforded us, I was filled with a sense of peace that I would never forget. This was my partner, the person made specifically for me, and I would never be parted from him again.

"So, how does it feel to be Dr. Isabella Cullen, a pheata?" Edward whispered in my ear as we were dancing our first dance together.
"It feels pretty amazing, fear céile," I said, calling him husband in Irish.
He chuckled, pulling back to look in my eyes. "How long have you been holding onto that one?"
I giggled, smiling at him. "The last twenty hours." He nodded and tucked me against his chest again, and I just lost myself in his arms.
Our reception was full of people telling us congratulations, toasts, food, drinks, and dances. All the things that a reception should be. Alice and Rose pulled me aside to change into my traveling clothes, tucking away my beautiful white dress. I had no idea where we were going for our honeymoon, and no one would tell me, but I would have been happy even if it was a hotel in just the next town over.
Once we were given our farewell, we were driven to the airport. I saw that the flight we were currently getting on was taking us to Oregon, so I was surprised. I liked Oregon, but it just didn't seem like a honeymoon destination.
"We're going to Portland?" I asked over his shoulder. We were standing in line to give our boarding passes and get on the plane.
He sighed. His secret was partly revealed. "That's our first layover, yes, but it's not our final destination."
"Any chance you are planning to tell me where our final destination is?"
He chuckled and shook his head. "You really don't like surprises, do you?"
"Come on, Edward. I know how stubborn you can be, but please tell me." I gave him the big doe eyes and innocent look I know he loved and he inhaled sharply.
He pulled me close to him. "Why do you do that to me in public? I want to strip you naked and fuck you right here."
"I won't complain." I teased.
He sighed and closed his eyes, taking in a deep breath. I knew he was close to losing his shit, but I loved to watch it happen firsthand. He opened his eyes and they were clear, less stormy than before. "You kept saying how you wanted to be alone. Away from everyone else but me. So we're going to Bora Bora."
"Is that the place with the insanely blue water and the huts over the water?" I asked, getting really excited. When I married Edward, I did it because I love him and want to be by his side forever, but sometimes it was so in my face that he had a lot of money. I mean, I did too, because doctors who had their own practices made quite a bit, but I knew this whole thing wasn't cheap at all.
He smiled at my enthusiasm. "Yes, we are staying there for three days, then we are going to Dublin for four days, and then doing some traveling around Europe."
I really couldn't help it, and like every time I was around Edward, I had a habit of forgetting most things around me. I hugged him and jumped up, wrapping my legs around him, all while kissing him. He caught me, not letting me fall, but he did quickly put me on my feet.
"Fuck, agra. I may just have to surprise you more." He ground out his words in that husky voice he used when he was especially turned on.
"Oh, dathuil, like it's so hard getting me in bed now?" I teased.
He gripped my chin, making me look him straight in the eyes. "Yeah, you're my naughty girl, aren't you?"
I didn't even hesitate in answering him. "Only for you."
The flight was long as hell, and we had several layovers; luckily, they were all less than two hours long each time. I slept for the majority of the flight, as I hadn't slept well the night before without Edward. The flights all together were over twenty hours long.
The last leg of the flight, Edward and I played chess. I had no idea what the hell I was doing, and I think that he let me make several illegal moves, because he kept smirking for no reason.
"You're letting me win," I said, moving my horse guy.
"No, I'm not. Beginner's luck I guess." His voice was mock sincere, and I kinda wanted to smack him. He moved his castle piece. "Check."
"What does that mean again?" I asked.
"It means your king is in danger," he said, staring at me intensely.
I chuckled. "Ah, it's always the guys who need saving, isn't it?"
"I don't know, a pheata, I think you have shown that you know how to tempt fate." Again with that little mocking smile.
"Maybe my number was up when I met you," I said with all seriousness.
He nodded and chuckled. "Oh, it definitely was. Guess we're just stuck together, aren't we?"
I tipped my king over, forfeiting the game. "Forever." Then I pulled his lips to mine, ready to continue my happily ever after with my prince.
