Elizabeth was tired she had woken up to her sister Jane's rants today and now just before noon was more than ready to go and die, the house was really in chaos as a certain Mr Bingley was to come today at the ball and everybody in the household was at frill for it after all according to mrs bennet her jane could be so beautiful for nothing, so lizzy ran away from longbourn for a short walk before the assembly.
The assembly was at full swing Darcy could hear the music and laughter from outside, he actually didn't really want to come but then he had gone out for a ride this noon and at a mount or hill would be the better word saw a sight so beautiful that his whole decision of not coming to assembly changed.
AT NOON THAT DAY-
Mr Darcy's mind was in turmoil he already regretted coming here to teach Bingley the manners of estate but what could he do his cousin had told him that it was for better to let Georgiana have some free time so he had taken up Bingley's offer but now he was so regretting it for there was to be an assembly in the evening and he did not want to be there to be at display for people to see but what could he do.
As Fitzwilliam went ahead in his horse he heard a soft singing and the sound was the most melodious he had ever heard he slowed his horse and jumped out of it to find from where this heavenly voice was coming from as he went ahead he saw a woman siiting in a bench of fallen log she was looking at the scenery ahead while singing he remembered this song it was "last rose of summer" he knew that the sheet for it had not come out yet but this woman here was singing it so delightfully her back turned to him he could see her hair was a beautiful shade of auburn and in the sunlight it had golden strings too she was a beautiful shape wearing a mint green dress complimenting her figure which even he could see was most beautiful, she just looked so perfect as if she belonged there. Fitzwilliam stood there for a time entrapped by the woman in front of him all he whished for now was for to see her face he just instinctively knew that she would be the most beautiful woman of his acquaintance he didn't know how but he just knew and at that moment he saw her.
Present time-
The Netherfield party came into the assembly room and everything went silent in the room the people of Meryton looked at them sizing their worth Fitzwilliam Darcy did not care at all he was just looking for the one woman he had come to assembly his eyes searched for the familiar eyes and then he found it those bright emerald green eyes he had seen in the day, that beautiful face which had made him forget everything she was laughing with some other woman this one was plain compared to the her but then everyone was pale compare to her no one stood out. He wanted an introduction to her, her name and if she was bethroted to someone or not for he had made his mind to court her she was so beautiful there was something very sparkly and lively in her eyes which shone with intelligence and mirth but he wasn't fool he could see that their was something else too something she hid and he understood perfectly why because he hid it too, a sense of not belonging that was what they both hid behind their eyes, he want no he needed to know her name now.
"…..and this is mrs bennet and her eldest daughter miss jane bennet, her second daughter miss mary bennet and these are the youngest miss kitty and miss Lydia bennet." Sir William was introducing them to a bennet family but darcy had no interest in them other than politely bowing for his attention was still on the woman. "…..and this is my friend Lord Fitzwilliam Darcy, Duke of Derbyshire and Devonshire and Earl of Burlington and Raleigh." Here it was that captured darcy's attention because as soon as bingley completed introducing his titles he was accosted by the attention of mrs bennet and her daughters especially miss bennet. "oh your grace I do hope that you love to dance?" asked miss jane bennet now that he saw her he could say that in classical sense she was pretty however not as beautiful as that other woman he saw but darcy was not sure when he would be introduced to her so he just replied that he was not much fond of it "oh yes and let me introduce you to my daughter charlotte and her friend." At that moment sir William called his daughter who darcy immediately notice was the woman standing beside the woman he saw today and now he was definitely interested.
"This is my daughter miss Charlotte Lucas and this is her friend Miss Elizabeth Bennet of Loungbourn" sir William introduced them but darcy heard nothing all he could think was that this name so suits her it is perfect for her.
"Miss Elizabeth".
