Aro

I disliked the situation I had found myself in. Caius had been informed that the Cullens were living with a human that is aware of their true nature. I knew the second he brought it up that there was going to be trouble.

"Aro, we can't allow this to continue," Marcus chided me.

"They should have all died the last time the guard had to clean up their mess. How many times will you allow them to flaunt our laws?"

"Brothers," I negotiated, "surely it is not necessary for them to die. Our good friend Carlisle just needs to be removed from society and reintroduced to the law."

"We don't give second chances, Aro," Caius argued.

"Of course we do not. We will collect them all, bring them here, and judge them."

"And the girl? Aro," Marcus asked.

"Change her, kill her, it matters very little," Caius complained.

"Bring her here and we will decide." Aro declared. "Alec, Demetri, Felix, collect the coven and the girl. Set up their disappearance. They will not be returning to...where are they, Demetri?"

They paused for a moment while Demetri focused. "Forks, Washington, Master," Demetri answered.

"If they run, Master?" Felix asked.

"Ah yes, the mind reader does have a habit of running when things do not go his way, track and force their compliance if they run. Dismissed."

Demetri

I went to my rooms to collect my cloak and a few changes of clothing. Alec and Felix went to their rooms as well.

It was time for the Cullens to be punished. The guard would be pleased with that. They had broken the laws and required 'assistance' after their move cleaning up speculations rumor so many times that it had become regular practice for me to check their location several times a year and send out guards to eliminate any records or exposure risks. We didn't do this for anyone else. Exposure would have been met with a trial at the very least if we were aware of it.

I hurried to the reception area, where Alec and Felix would meet me when they were ready. By five pm we were boarding the plane.

It was a relaxed trip to the US. We made plans on the plane. The three of us would go to the Cullen house and Alec, the least threatening of us, would take responsibility for the girl if his gift wasn't needed.

When we landed we were ready. Two SUVs waited for us. Felix and I would each drive. We would have to transport the Cullens. Alec would be in SUV with the gifted ones so he could numb them if there was any sign of resistance on the trip.

We were on our way. Soon, we would have to collect the Cullens. I wondered what we would have to do to help the human vanish. Had the Cullens taken her out of human society yet? Likely not. They were far too involved in human society.

Alec

The trip from Port Angeles to Forks was only an hour. Trying to be inconspicuous on this trip took the whole hour. I thought about what was ahead of us. Unlike my companions, I had not been required to take part in relocating the Cullens over and over. It was just a few times for me and I didn't mind so much. It was usually fun to leave home on a business trip every now and then and I found myself enjoying the sights. Of course, they should be punished, they revealed what we are to a human, but I thought Aro was likely to find a lesser punishment for them. He seemed to like them, Carlisle and Edward at least. Maybe Alice too.

We wound our way through the woods and turned off the road at an almost hidden driveway. At least this home was in a location to be inconspicuous I thought until the trees parted to give me a view of the house. The Cullens heard us coming or Alice saw us. They are all waiting on the porch.

I stood back to watch Demetri work.

"Cullens, you have been called to a hearing in front of our Masters. Please collect your things and set up your disappearance. You will most likely not be returning to this house."

Now it was my turn. As the Cullens headed inside, to pack and prepare, It was my job to find the human. At that thought, the mind reader turned and lunged at me.

Felix had him in an iron grip before he got close. Everything was going according to plan.

I followed Edward's scent through the woods and to a clapboard house painted in light blue. It appeared he usually entered through a bedroom window, but I entered through the door.

There was only an ancient truck in the driveway. I hoped that meant we'd be alone.

I knocked on the door, noting that there was only one heartbeat inside.

The door opened and behind it was an attractive girl, with wide eyes and a friendly smile.

Felix

I dragged the mind reader inside. Carlisle watched with a concerned expression on his face.

"Get control of your family, Carlisle," Demetri ordered. "I will keep Edward restrained if I must, but I would prefer to let you all pack for the future."

"Edward, go pack your things," Carlisle ordered. "You will not leave the house without informing us."

"Bella," Edward snarled, "They're here for Bella."

Carlisle sighed, "Of course they are Edward. You have no control over it. Now pack your things and prepare to close up the house."

"Release him," Demetri ordered.

I released the mind reader and he fell onto the floor. He growled at me like that would help his case any. Then he picked himself up and went up the stairs. I stationed myself upstairs and watched the goings-on while Demetri watched the lower level.

There was movement all over the house. Alec had already gone to collect Isabella. I felt vaguely sorry for her. She would open her door to find a strange vampire on her doorstep and her world would collapse all in a few seconds. I dismissed the feelings and took a deep breath. I could just detect her scent. She was mouthwatering.
