NastySquire: I am British and I mostly switch back and forth between 'bloody' and 'fucking'.

WhiteElfElder: Venom has access to Harry's mind and magic and has helped Harry grow into a pretty accomplished wizard, so he can do all the spells that Harry knows.

VincentFS: As someone who pulls dipshit moves on the daily, I make no promises.

scyfly: This story will mostly follow cannon until around the sixth year, as that's when I plan the major changes to take place.

DragrexTheBrit : That's why you should always read my work as much as possible, XD

Fire turtle: Okay, 'Rita didn't see the tentacle'. Now, the next question you have to ask would be 'is he lying'? (que evil laughter)

Wulfkin17: Thanks and it's less of Harry forgetting as it is me forgetting, lol/

Scarlet Nerd: Thank you very much, I'm glad you enjoyed it so far.

Chapter 59 -

Harry was pretty sure that there was a smile on his face as he made his way back to the common room, his hair had been messed up greatly and his clothes probably would have been if they hadn't been made with the high-quality material known as Venom. Though, Harry didn't make much of an effort to hide his smile as he stopped in front of the common room entrance.

"Broadsword," Harry told the portrait of the Fat Lady.

"If you say so," She yawned before the portrait door opened. Harry walked into the common room and saw several people sitting down, discussing the events of the Yule Ball. There were groups of girls and boys; a few couples were still together. One couple was having a rather intense snogging session in a corner and probably would have continued doing so if a prefect hadn't broken them up.

Harry ignored all of this and made his way up to his dorm where he found the rest of the boys surrounding Seamus, who was groaning as he lay on his bed with a hot water bottle between his legs and a black eye.

"What the hell happened to him?" Harry couldn't help but ask, letting the boys know that he was there.

"You didn't see?" Neville asked. "He went on a date with Lavender,"

"The one in our year?" Harry asked.

"Yep," Ron confirmed. "She was looking well fit," He couldn't help but add, it was then that Harry noticed a slap mark on Ron's face.

"What the hell happened to you?" Harry blinked.

"We're getting to that," Dean told him. "Anyway, Lavender was with Seamus, things were going decently well when people started switching up dance partners. The ponce had somehow managed to get a dance with Daphne Greengrass, the Slytherin girl in our year. She looked like she was contemplating hexing him."

"And then?" Harry gestured for him to continue.

"And then she hexed him," Dean shrugged.

"Yeah, well he shouldn't have grabbed her butt," Neville huffed, shaking his head.

"That was an accident," Seamus protested weakly.

"You were grinning, you idiot!" Dean snapped at him.

"So then Greengrass hexed him I'm guessing?" Harry asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Froze his bits," Neville said with a frown. "But not before Lavender had decked him in the eye,"

"Neat," Harry nodded approvingly. "But what about him?" He pointed to Ron.

"That happened a bit earlier actually," Dean revealed. "He had managed to get Parvati to go with him, then he acted like a horrible date the whole time."

"I did not!" Ron replied.

"You were staring at Hermione the whole time, everyone noticed," Dean said, rolling his eyes. "Everyone except for Hermione anyway. Still, he was being a moody little shit and Parvati obviously wasn't enjoying herself, then Ron went to get some food, came back and pulled Padma into a dance, not realising that he had got the wrong twin."

"Ron?" Harry couldn't help but sigh. "Really?"

"What?! They're twins!" Ron said defensively, a blush on his face. "They look exactly alike!"

"Parvati was wearing red and Padma was wearing blue," Harry pointed out, very slowly. "No wonder you two were hurt," He said with disbelief before turning to Neville and Dean. "What about you two? Good dates?"

"Mine was alright," Neville said with a small smile, his cheeks tinted red. "I went with Ginny,"

"I went with Megan Jones," Dean revealed "From Hufflepuff, she was fun. Anyway, what about you? You're the one who went with Fleur Bloody Delacour, how did that go? You didn't do anything like those two idiots?"

"Well, it didn't start out perfect but I enjoyed myself well enough,"

"Why are you smiling?"

"No reason,"

"Hello," A familiar voice purred into Harry's ears no sooner than a minute after the boy had sat down for breakfast. Everyone around them froze as a lovely pair of arms wrapped around his neck, pink lips pressed against his cheek and a surge of warmth filled his body. "Miss me?" Fleur asked, hands idly playing with his hair.

"I saw you yesterday," Harry couldn't help but point out, smiling up at her.

"Answer the question," She said sternly, flicking his ear warningly.

"Well, I certainly didn't enjoy ending our time together yesterday," He smirked as she sat down next to him and leaned into his side.

"A good answer," She responded before a plate full of food appeared. "I am so hungry," She informed him before she stopped leaning on him and began eating, Harry nodded and did the same, the pair of them ignoring the gawking Gryffindors that surrounded them. "So, did you brag to your dormmates about our kiss yesterday?" Fleur asked him causally, causing everyone to stare at him.

"I don't kiss and tell," Harry shrugged. "By the way, you want to go on another date?" He asked casually before drinking some juice.

"Sure, tomorrow?" She asked before putting a forkful of food into her mouth.

"Okay, it's Hogsmeade day so we can head down to the village if you want," Harry responded. "It's really beautiful down there, they got some great shops."

"It's a date," Fleur agreed before the two went back to eating in silence, once again ignoring the gaping Gryffindors.

"What the hell am I watching?" Dean whispered to Seamus.

"I don't know, but I hate it," Seamus told him honestly.

"What are your plans for today?" Fleur asked Harry once he was done.

"Oh, I plan to finish up my homework, spend some time with Hedwig and then work on that stupid egg." He answered.

"You haven't worked out your egg yet?" Fleur asked.

"You have? What is it?"

"I can't tell you, we are competitors, remember?" Fleur smirked. "Perhaps if I enjoy our date tomorrow then I might be compelled to give you a clue,"

"Challenge accepted," Harry grinned at her. "I'm going to shove so much joy down your throat that it's going to come out your ass," He stated just as Neville began drinking some juice, the poor boy ended up choking and spitting some on the table.

"Honestly Neville," Hermione sighed before taking out her wand, only to blink when the table was cleaned before she could do anything. She looked around and saw Fleur putting her wand away.

"You're welcome," Fleur told her with a smile before leaning into Harry's side.

"So did you and Harry enjoy your date yesterday?" Lavender asked Fleur, staring between her and Harry.

"I enjoyed it very much," Fleur said while Harry nodded. "He is a very skilled kisser." She stated matter-of-factly just as Neville put some food in his mouth, causing him to choke. Harry didn't miss the twinkle in her eye, he liked it a hell of a lot more than Dumbledore's.

"Neville," Hermione sighed, pointing her wand at the boy, ready to help when another spell hit him and stopped him from choking.

"You're welcome," Fleur smiled, putting her wand away.

"Alright, you can do it, girl," Harry said encouragingly as he stood in the owlery, a tentacle with Venom's head had come out of his back and the two were now staring at Hedwig. The snowy owl blinked her large eyes before being covered in red goo.

"Atta girl!" Venom said proudly as he looked at the symbiote Hedwig in front of them. "Such powerful offspring for such a wonderful owl,"

"She is a wonderful owl!" Harry agreed, reaching forward with no fear and scratching the owl-alien hybrid on the back of the head. Hedwig purred and leaned into his touch. "So, what do we call this one?" Harry couldn't help but ask.

"I'm sure she has a name," Venom told Harry before turning to Hedwig. "What's your name, child?" The owl stared at the two for a minute before slowly opening its beak.

"C..." It started, pausing for a moment before it continued. "Carnage!" It hissed out, the voice powerful enough that Harry felt his body vibrate.

"Carnage?" Harry blinked. "Got to admit, that's not my first choice for a name, but I like it."

"Family!" Carnage hissed before two tentacles shot out of it and grabbed Harry, pulling him closer and into what appeared to be a hug as Carnage pressed her head against his chest.

"Family!" Venom cheered, placing his head on top of Carnage.

"This is getting real mushy right now," Harry said, a small smile on his face as he wrapped his arms around Carnage-Hedwig who suddenly stiffened.

"Company! Company!" She said quickly before transforming back into normal Hedwig. Venom had barely disappeared back into Harry when the door opened and Tonks walked in.

"Oh! Hi Harry," Tonks smiled at him. "How's things going?"

"Pretty decent," Harry smiled back. "What about you?"

"Just delivering a letter to my boss," She shrugged, holding up a white envelope. "Now, to find an owl that will-" Tonks found herself quickly cut off when Hedwig shot off of her perch, snatched the letter out of Tonks's hand and flew away without a backward glance. "Alright, so that's done, I guess," Tonks blinked, staring in the direction of a flying Hedwig.

"I think she was somewhat offended that you considered using another owl when she was here," Harry guessed.

"Yeah, well, it's not like she normally lets anyone but you give her letters," Tonks couldn't help but point out.

"Yeah, but you could've given the letter to me so that I could give it to her," Harry said in an 'it's so obvious' type voice.

"Yes, a massive oversight on my part," Tonks said dryly, shaking her head.

"Indeed," Harry agreed. "So, did you enjoy your night at the ball?"

"Hardly the worst thing I've ever done," Tonks shrugged. "Had to stop a couple of people from underage drinking, which is a bit hypocritical on my part, but orders are orders. Aside from that, not much went on."

"Cool, and how's your auror friend?" Harry asked. "The date one? You guys going good?"

"Um...well...we decided it really wasn't working between us," Tonks said, choosing not to admit that things had gone horribly wrong and she had decked him in the face.

"Oh? Are you alright?" He asked genuinely. "He didn't hurt you, did he? You want me to hurt him? It's no trouble," He offered.

"It's fine," Tonks waved him off. "You don't need to do that,"

"You're my friend, nobody's allowed to hurt my friends," Harry said firmly.

"Thanks," Tonks smiled brightly. "But it's not necessary, I handled it pretty well. Anyway, enough about me, how did your date with Fleur go?"

"Pretty well to be honest," Harry grinned. "We're going on another date tomorrow,"

"Oh...that's...that's good," Tonks said slowly. "So...you two really like each other, huh?"

"Yeah, she's fun, taking her to Hogsmeade," Harry revealed.

"Right," Tonks nodded awkwardly. "Anyway, that's me done, I'll see you later then, I guess. See you," She said before quickly leaving.

"Wonder what that's about," Harry frowned.

"Maybe she needed the toilet," Venom guessed.

'Alright,' Venom said in Harry's head as the boy stood in front of the mirror, having finished brushing his teeth. 'You're going to want to look nice for your date,' He said matter-of-factly, standing behind Harry in the mirror's reflection, staring down at Harry with a critical look. 'But it'll also be cold so let's go with something a bit warm.' Venom decided, placing his hand on Harry's back. A second later Harry was standing in front of the mirror dressed in black trousers, a grey shirt and a thick black coat. 'Perfect,' Venom declared.

'Thanks,' Harry said appreciatively before he headed out the door and was promptly met in his dorm by his dormmates.

"So Harry, what's your plan then?" Dean asked him. "How are you going to wow Delacour?"

"A lot of flowers, that's what I would do," Seamus said matter-of-factly like he was some expert.

"If I ever followed your advice then I'm likely to end up coming back blown up with a black eye and an ice bag on my junk," Harry snorted, causing Seamus to flush red.

"Hey!"

"You're going to have to do something," Neville frowned. "Girls like that sort of stuff,"

"Yeah, obviously," Ron nodded. "You got to do something big! Lots of flowers and chocolates!"

'Chocolates?' Venom perked up.

"Something that she'll remember forever," Ron continued enthusiastically. "She'll be wanting jewellery of course,"

"Of course," Dean nodded sagely. "Perhaps you should give her your scarf,"

"I'm not wearing a scarf," Harry couldn't help but point out.

"You should wear a scarf," Dean advised.

"It is pretty cold out today," Neville agreed.

"I'm a wizard, I don't get cold," Harry said, staring between all of them. "I have access to this wonderful thing called magical spells, they'll keep me warm enough. Besides, I'm not doing any of the crap you're suggesting. I'm going to walk around with Fleur, go to some shops, keep things simple."

"But that's rubbish!" Ron blurted out, sounding absolutely horrified. "You need jewellery, flowers and chocolates!"

'I'm getting hungry now,' Venom complained.

"Ron, you hyper-active little ginger, I am not doing all of that," Harry said, rolling his eyes. "I'm going to take Fleur out on a simple date, if we ever get to the stage where we are boyfriend and girlfriend then I will consider it. Now, excuse me, I'm going to go now." He said, quickly making his exit, all the while ignoring the protests of his dorm mates who were insisting that he had no idea what he was doing.

'You are going to be at least a bit romantic, right?' Venom questioned him.

'Oh yeah, but I'm not letting them know that,' Harry pointed out. 'Still, I am going to try and keep things simple, I see no need to go all out on the first date.'

'Fair enough,' Venom replied. 'Are you going to buy some protection?'

'What are you on about? I got you with me, don't I?'

'Not that type of protection!'

'I know, I know, I'm just playing with you,' Harry said with a mental chuckle. 'Relax, I don't think it'll go that far, especially on the first date.'

'If you're sure,' Venom huffed. 'Still, your roommates were right about one thing,'

'What's that?'

'Chocolates, lots of chocolates,'
