This is my first attempt at writing a story with the intent to share it. The idea came to me while driving, and then a snowstorm happened so I needed to stop thinking about this and focus on not crashing. Please feel free to give me constructive criticism, and suggestions.

Are disclaimers actually necessary? This is a fanfiction, meaning made by a fan, not the owner of the intellectual property.

Chapter One: Like a weird Dragonborn

"Help me! Someone help me," a muffled scream was heard outside a door. Izuku stepped into the room, his cape fluttering behind him. Inside was a civilian being held hostage by a villain.

"Don't worry ma'am, I, the hero: Almighty, will save you!" As the civilian cried in relief, Izuku stepped towards the villain, "Are you sure you want to do this? I am as strong as All Might!"

". . ." the villain didn't reply.

"Very well, don't say I didn't worn you." And with that Izuku rushed towards the villain. In less than a second Izuku was within the villain's guard and—

"Almighty Punch!"

—Izuku threw out a vicious uppercut. Catching the villain right in their center of mass.

—Bang—

The villain was thrown into the air, their innards flying everywhere, spilling out of their torso. Their legs were no longer attached, creating a convenient opening for the villain's insides to exit the body.

"Eh?" Both Izuku and the civilian said in tandem.

With the villain's guts still falling down around him, Izuku looked at his fist in confusion, then to the lifeless villain, and then to the hole in the ceiling.

Realizing what just happened, Izuku turned to the only other living person in the room.

"Mom! I got my quirk! I got my quirk!"

". . ." Inko Midoriya was speechless. One moment she was playing the part of a captured civilian, the next moment her four year old child punched straight through a dummy made of pillows and the roof of their house. If she bothered to look through the hole in the roof Inko would have seen that a hole in the clouds had been created too. But as it was, the first two were already too much for her, and she fainted.

"Mom!" the little boy shouted, running towards his fallen parent. In the process the towel acting as his cape fell off of his All Might onesie.

"Mom!"

Feathers continued to drift down on the two, as the child fretted over his mother.

This was how Izuku discovered his quirk. No, not super strength, nor super speed. Rather it was something more powerful. That day Izuku discovered his quirk, and learned the true power of words.

The office was sparsely populated by various tools and testing equipment. Looking around Izuku could see a heavy duty thermometer, griping device, a microscope, and other various medical devices.

"So…" Inko was fiddling with her hand, nervous, "do you have any idea what his quirk is?" Glancing at Izuku as she said this.

Speaking of Izuku, the boy was trying not to play with his bandages. You see, after his mother woke up he tried showing off his new quirk again, by punching the wall. Luckily for both Inko and the house, Izuku's punch didn't do anything to the wall, and instead the wall damaged Izuku. Tearing up the skin on his knuckles pretty badly.

"Well, I'm not entirely sure. But after this next test I may have a better idea." Turning to Izuku, "Midoriya-chan, your mother mentioned that you said something before punching the 'villain', correct?"

Izuku nodded rapidly, with a bright smile.

"Yep! I said I was as strong as All Might." The moment Izuku said that, he felt something. But it felt wrong, like he was crossing over a river on a bridge, but there was a hole in the middle, so he couldn't cross it. He told the doctor about the feeling he just had.

"Hmm. So it seems to have restrictions." The doctor turned to his laptop and typed on it, then he looked back up at Izuku, "Midoriya-chan, I'd like you to try something," he pointed at a rubix cube sitting on his desk, "Please say that you are holding that Rubix cube."

Shrugging, Izuku did as told, "I am holding that rubix cube." The moment he said that, the rubix cube was in his hands. It didn't appear in a flash of light, or fade into his hands, it was as if reality suddenly realized that the cube was supposed to be in Izuku's hands. "Woah! Did you see that!" He held up the rubix cube, "I made it appear, like magic! Is that my quirk, magic?!" But as he was saying that, the cube was suddenly out of his hands, as reality reasserted itself.

"Interesting, try saying it again."

Izuku did as told, but nothing happened. Instead he had the same feeling as earlier, like he was on a bridge.

The doctor started typing into his laptop again, but Izuku was frustrated, he felt like he could do it, if he just tried jumping over the hole.

"That rubix cube is in my hand!" Izuku shouted, forcing the feeling of jumping over the hole.

Two things happened in that instance, and one after. First the rubix cube appeared in Izuku's right hand. Second Izuku suddenly realized that maybe he shouldn't have done that, as the world suddenly went dark. Immediately afterwards the cube returned to its place, and much quicker than the first time. Not that Izuku noticed, passed out as he was.
