Another watch it fic. Been a while. Thank you to my friend Aragorn II Elessar for his help with the title.

First, I'm not going to be doing the whole series. I'm going to be doing the last half hour of The End of Time through The Day of The Doctor.

Updates will be once or twice a week, hopefully twice but we'll see.

Regarding the continuity, nothing passed Day of The Doctor is canon. All four seasons of Torchwood are canon, minus the last scene of the show. Haven't seen much of the Sarah Jane spin off, so that won't be canon minus a throwaway reference in the beginning. I haven't seen the classic Doctor Who at the time of writing this, so I apologize in advance for any continuity errors with it.

Pairings, especially in a fandom such as this, can be like walking into a mine field, so I'm going to let you know where I stand regarding pairings right from the get go. My favorite DW pairings are Amy/Rory and Doctor/River. I don't feel one way or the other about Martha/Mickey due to how it was just kind of thrown in there, but since its canon, it'll be part of the plot.

I'm also not a fan of The Doctor with either Rose or Clara. I know both are insanely popular but I have a lot of issues with how said relationships were executed among other things. So if you're looking for either of them in this story, you've come to the wrong place.

I'm also going to give a warning right from the start; this is not going to look upon Clara too favorably. It's not for anything she does in canon, although I'm not a big Clara fan, but rather because of something I'm going to do for the plot of this work. But this story will not be Clara friendly. And there are many actions of her in canon that really miffed me too for reasons I'll get into when the time comes, but my plot regarding her shall be the explanation for those canonical incidents.

I'm not going tell anyone what they can and cannot read, but if you're only going to read this to leave hateful comments, well ,that says a lot more about you than it does about me.

Now, on with the show.

London, 2022

Morning

In a graveyard, a young looking blond woman was kneeling in front of a grave. She seemed completely focused on the grave, yet she still heard the approach of footsteps.

"It's time," she said, not turning around to face the man standing behind her.

"I know," Jack Harkness said, looking at the woman in concern. "You sure about this?"

"Look around you Jack. There's no other way. And we both remember what happened when my dad ignored his instincts, tried to find another way," the woman said with a heavy sigh.

"We both know that wasn't him," Jack said and he paused. "For what it's worth, I think he'd be proud of what you're about to do."

"Would he?" the woman said in a doubtful tone.

"Your father understood more than anyone else the necessity of making impossible choices. In your shoes, he'd make the exact same choice. Matter of fact, he did," Jack reminded her and she smiled weakly.

"I hope you're right," the woman said before standing up. "In any case, I have an appointment to keep. Jack-"

"I know, I'll be long gone by the time you get back. Don't want to cross my own timeline after all," Jack said with a grin.

"To be on the safe side, I'm gonna head back here an hour from now. Should give you plenty of time to get out of here," the woman told him.

"Good luck," he said and the woman nodded.

She then walked a few feet away, where a blue police box stood. Jack watched as she stepped inside before the police box vanished with a 'Vwoorp'.

Tower of London, UNIT base, June, 2013

Afternoon

In her office, Kate Stewart was looking down at four TARDIS blue envelopes before looking back at the blond woman, who stood a few feet away.

"I must admit, I was surprised when you came to me. I wasn't aware The Doctor had a daughter," Kate noted.

"That's because he thinks I'm dead. He can't know I'm not yet, so I'd appreciate it if you kept this quiet," the woman said and Kate nodded.

"Of course. You said your name was…Jenny was it?" Kate inquired.

"That's how he knew me. I've been going by Jane for a while now," Jane explained. "So can I count on you to get those delivered?"

"Why are you trusting me with this?" Kate asked suspiciously. "Why not give it to them yourself?"

"Because they need to believe it came from Dad. And let's just say we have a mutual friend in common," Jane said and Kate raised an eyebrow. "Can I trust you?"

"I will deliver these as requested. But, if I may ask, what is all this about?" Kate asked curiously and Jane smiled tightly.

"Stopping the end of the world. What else?"

Mott-Noble house, next day

Morning

Sylvia Noble walked into her kitchen, sighing as she saw her father staring at one of the cubes as he sat at the table.

"Dad, it's been over ten months. However they came here, they're just normal cubes," Sylvia said, trying to be patient with her father.

"You used to say there were no aliens to, then there was The Doctor," Wilf pointed out.

"And if these cubes were dangerous, I'm sure The Doctor would have found a way to get rid of them or alert the public by now," Sylvia said patiently.

Further conversation was interrupted by someone knocking on the door. Leaving Wilf alone with the cube, Sylvia made her way to the front door and opened it up. Sylvia was surprised to find a man from UNIT standing on the other side of the door.

"I'm looking for Wilfred Mott," the man said simply.

"What do you want with him?" Sylvia asked wearily, as a soldier showing up on her front porch looking for her father was not something that happened regularly.

"I've been told to deliver this to him," the man said as he pulled out a blue envelope. "My orders are to make sure he receives it."

"Dad," Sylvia called out after a few moments, deciding there was no harm in at least letting the man carry out his mission.

Wilf made his way out of the kitchen and over to the front door, surprised to see a man in uniform standing on the front porch.

"Can we help you?" Wilf inquired.

"I'm merely here to deliver this," the man said, handing it to Wilf before saluting. "Sir. Ma'am."

The man then walked away as Wilf looked down at the blue envelope in bewilderment. He was confused about why there was a 4 in the right hand corner as Sylvia closed the door.

"Does it say who it's from?" Sylvia inquired.

"No. But look at it. It's just like The Doctor's time machine," Wilf said in astonishment, quickly opening it.

Sylvia eyed the letter wearily as her father took out the contents, a piece of paper. While she would be the first to admit that she had been wrong about The Doctor, every time he came in contact with a member of her family, chaos usually followed. But she didn't voice these worries. Her father was a grown man, she knew better than to try and talk him out of this.

"What does it say?" she asked instead.

"It doesn't say anything. It's just a picture of a pub and a date," Wilf said, turning it around to show to Sylvia. "I bet you that's where The Doctor wants me to go!"

And as she watched her father excitedly ramble about The Doctor, Sylvia hoped more pain would not come into her family's life.

London

Same time

In her room that she shared with her husband, Martha Jones-Smith tied her hair as she got ready for work. It had been a few years since she'd left UNIT and she'd gone back to her first love: medicine.

As she walked out of her room, she passed by the kitchen and smiled as she saw Mickey feeding their year old son Matthew.

She'd be lying if she said her falling pregnant hadn't been part of her decision to leave behind alien hunting and go back to being a doctor. But she had no regrets; neither she nor Mickey wanted their son to grow up without his parents.

Martha was broken out of her thoughts when Mathew saw her and screeched, reaching out for her.

"Mu!" he squealed.

"Looks like someone wants his Mummy," Mickey joked and Martha laughed.

"Of course he does," Martha said as she walked over, scooping her son into her arms. "But Mummy needs to go to work. I'll see you both when I get back."

As she pressed a kiss to her son's forehead, the family of three heard a knock on the door.

"I'll get it, you get this one cleaned up," Martha said, looking down at Mathew's stained dib before handing him off to Mickey.

"I know the drill," Mickey joked before heading into Mathew's room, likely to find him some clean clothes.

Martha headed over to the door and opened it, surprised to find a familiar face on the other side.

"John?" she asked in surprise.

"Hey Martha, how's it been?" John asked with a grin.

John had been a new recruit to UNIT at the same time Martha had been starting there. They'd become close friends, although they'd lost touch since Martha had left UNIT.

"It's been good. Oh my God, it's good to see you!" Martha exclaimed before they exchanged a brief hug. "What are you doing here?"

"I'm actually here on UNIT business," John said before pulling out a blue envelope. "My orders were to deliver this to you and your husband."

Martha barely heard him, staring at the envelope. It was a blue, a blue she had only seen one other time. Could it be…

"Martha?" John called out; breaking her out of the trance she was in.

"Sorry. Thank you, you can tell UNIT that we got it," Martha said, holding out her hand and John gave her the letter.

"Don't be a stranger now Martha," John told her.

"That goes both ways," Martha said. "Take care of yourself John."

"Thanks. You to," John said before he turned and walked off.

Martha then closed the door, looking down at the letter in her hand. She was perplexed by the 2 in the corner. Mickey returned with Mathew in his arms to find her staring at it.

"Martha?" Mickey called out before he saw the envelope. "Is that from…"

"It doesn't say. But its TARDIS blue Mickey," Martha said as she held it up.

"Only one way to find out for sure," Mickey said lowly.

Martha nodded, gulping slightly before she slowly opened the envelope and pulled out the contents. There was no letter, just a picture of a pub and a date.

"Oh that is so like him," Martha said in exasperation, taking Mathew from Mickey before handing the paper to Mickey.

"So what do you wanna do?" Mickey asked as he looked up at her.

"In spite of everything that happened…we owe him. And I have a few days off coming up; I can ask to move around some days. And my mum won't mind looking after this one," Martha said, looking down at Mathew and smiling. "Looks like we're going to see The Doctor."

Cardiff

Same time

Jack Harkness was walking towards the flat he'd been renting since moving back here following 'The Miracle' as people were calling it when he saw a man dressed in UNIT uniform standing outside his front door.

"Can I help you?" Jack asked as he reached the man.

"Captain Jack Harkness?" the man asked.

"You sure you want to know?" Jack asked flirtatiously and the man shot him an unamused look. "Yeah, that's me."

"I've been instructed by Kate Stewart to give you this," the man said as he pulled out a blue envelope.

Jack straightened at the mention of Kate before seeing the envelope. TARDIS blue. Jack silently accepted the letter, exchanging a salute with the man before he walked off. Jack looked down at the envelope. It had been a few years since he saw The Doctor at the alien bar, and there had been no contact from his old friend since then. Jack stared at the 3 in the corner before opening it. Pulling out the contents, Jack smiled.

London, a few days later

Morning

Mickey parked the car outside the pub before he and Martha stepped out.

"You sure this is the right place?" Mickey asked as they looked at the pub.

"Tom's, just like it says in the photo," Martha said as she pointed to the sign. "Only pub within a hundred miles of London named Tom's."

"Why would boss call us here?" Mickey wondered.

"That's what we're here to find out," Martha reminded her.

"Miss Martha Jones."

At the familiar voice, Martha and Mickey turned around to see Jack crossing the street towards them with a grin.

"Jack," Martha said happily before embracing the man. "You to?"

"If by that you mean did I get The Doctor's summons, yeah," Jack said, pulling out his letter before looking over at Mickey. "Mickey Mouse."

"Captain Cheesecake," Mickey said with a grin.

"I've told you, it's Captain Beef Cake," Jack said before he and Mickey embraced. "Good to see you both."

"We're glad to see you to," Martha said as Jack and Mickey let go. "Jack…we heard about what happened."

Only someone who knew him as well as Martha could have noticed the slight dimming of Jack's smile.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there," Martha said apologetically.

"It wasn't your fault, there was nothing you could have done," Jack assured her and a beat passed. "Shall we go in?"

Martha and Mickey exchanged a glance, silently agreeing Jack didn't want to talk about it so they wouldn't push him. They nodded and the trio walked into the pub.

They looked around; it was pretty average, as far as pubs go. But it was completely empty.

"We're sure this is the right place?" Jack asked as they looked around.

"Only pub in London named Tom's," Martha told him.

"What exactly is boss playing at?" Mickey wondered.

"Excuse me," the trio turned around to see an old man enter the pub. "Have you seen a man…well; I'm not exactly what he looks like. He might have appeared to be waiting for someone?"

"Wilfred Mott," Martha said in surprise and three pairs of eyes turn to her.

"I'm sorry?" Wilf said in confusion.

"You know him? "Jack asked.

"Only from photographs in Donna's file at UNIT. He's her grandfather," Martha explained and Wilf straightened.

"You know Donna?" Wilf asked.

"Yeah, she might have mentioned me. I'm Martha," Martha introduced herself and Wilf's eyes lit up in recognition.

"Yeah, Martha. She mentioned you," Wilf said as Martha walked over and offered him her hand.

"It's nice to meet you Mr. Mott," Martha said as they shook hands.

"Call me Wilf," Wilf said politely.

"Wilf. This is my husband Mickey and Captain Jack Harkness," Martha introduced everyone.

"Wilf, you got a letter from The Doctor, with a photo of this place and today's date, didn't you?" Jack asked.

"Yes, I did," Wilf said as he pulled it out.

"May I see it please?" Jack asked, holding out a hand and Wilf looked at the envelope before handing it to Jack.

"Jack, what is it?" Martha asked as he looked over at her.

"Did you bring your letter?" Jack asked.

"Yeah, we did," Mickey said as he pulled it out.

Jack held out a hand and Martha and Mickey exchanged a bewildered look before Mickey handed it to him. Jack then pulled out his own envelope, shuffling all three of them before laughing, to the confusion of the others.

"Oh that is so typical of him," Jack chuckled.

"Jack, what's going on?" Martha asked.

"Haven't you figured it out yet? The Doctor is in trouble," Jack revealed. "And when you're in trouble, who do you turn to?"

"The people you trust," Wilf noted and Jack nodded.

"And like he would do, The Doctor placed letters to those he trusted by number. Wilf's 4, I'm 3, you two are 2. So that begs the question, who did The Doctor trust most?" Jack wondered.

"Granddad?"

Startled, the four of them turned around to see Donna Noble had entered the pub, looking at her grandfather in surprise.

"Donna, what are you doing here?" Wilf asked, desperately trying to shield the others from her view.

If she remembered them even a little bit, she would die.

"I got this letter a few days ago," Donna said, holding up a TARDIS blue envelope with a 1 in the corner. "It said some mumbo jumbo about how the mystery of my life could be answered if I came here. Shaun thought it was a joke but I wanted to meet the dumbo who came up with it."

Wilf was tense, trying to figure out how to get Donna out as Jack, Mickey and Martha stared at her, unsure what to do. Then a door from behind the counter opened and someone walked out.

"Glad you could all make it," they looked over to see Jane walk out from around the counter.

"Jenny?" Martha asked in shock and Jane smiled.

"I go by Jane now. It's good to see you Martha," Jenny said.

"I'm sorry, who is she? And how do you know her?" Jack asked as he looked at Martha questionably.

"She's um, HIS daughter," Martha said, trying not to look at Donna. "It's complicated."

"And I will gladly explain the very complicated story of my origin in a minute. But first, Donna," Jane said as she walked over to the confused redhead. "I know you're confused, but everything will make sense in a minute."

Jane then pulled out a gold pocket watch. Martha and Jack both recognized it a second before Jane opened it facing Donna. Donna gasped as golden light flooded out of her body and into the pocket watch. Wilf, Mickey, Jack and Martha watched in astonishment before the light faded and the pocket watch closed. Donna fell to her knees, holding her head as Wilf tried to rush to her but Jane held him back.

"What's wrong with her? What have you done to her?" Wilf demanded his voice a mix of worry and anger.

"I've given back was taken from her," Jane said simply.

Donna wasn't aware of any this, her mind flooded with images.

Arriving on the TARDIS, to the shock and confusion of herself and The Doctor.

Urging The Doctor not to die as he sets off the flood in the Racnoss ship.

Reuniting with the Doctor two years later.

Going with him to travel on the TARDIS.

Urging him to save someone in Pompeii.

Following The Doctor's instructions to stop the Sontarans.

Witnessing Jenny's 'birth'.

Seeing Jenny die in The Doctor's arms.

Being trapped in the Library's simulation.

Meeting Rose in that strange alternate reality.

Getting hit by a car to reset the timeline.

Arriving back on Earth and witnessing the Doctor get shot by a Dalek.

Trapped in the TARDIS as it is sent to be destroyed.

Touching The Doctor's severed hand, giving rise to the Meta-Crisis Doctor.

Helping both Doctors stop the Daleks.

The Doctor erasing her memories as she begins to become overwhelmed by the Time Lord knowledge.

Donna opened her eyes, trying to make sense of everything before her eyes focused on Jane.

"Jenny?" Donna asked and Jane smiled.

"It's good to see you Donna. I wish it were under different circumstances. But I needed your help, all of your help," Jane said as she looked around at all of them. "It's not underselling it to say that the fate of the entire universe is at risk. And without each and every one of you, the universe may not exist in a few decades."

And that's the start.

Was originally going to end it by everyone sitting down to start watching, but even just getting everyone to the same place took a lot longer than I expected.

It's my first time writing for some of these characters, so I'm still getting a feel for some of them and apologize if anyone seems OOC.

And I gave Donna her memories back, because screw Russell Davies and his fetish for torturing the characters.
