At long last it would begin. An opportunity of a lifetime, that would determine the fate of a single's person's destiny.

Somewhere in the world, located within Japan, an ordinary city known as Fuyuki was about to experience something like no other. The Holy Grail War.

A battle that was fought by countless contestants, seven who are part of the hidden world of magecraft, and seven who are part of the world's history itself. A battle that all fourteen joined in as pairs to gain access to what was known as the Holy Grail.

Differing from the cup of Christ itself, this Holy Grail offered what is known as a wish. Described as an omnipotent wish granter, the seven humans known as Masters and the seven Servants engaged against one another for the right of this prize. Fame, fortune, whatever wish the winner desired would be granted through this Holy Grail. Admittingly, one that nobody had gotten in the hundreds of years it has been around. But that would change, as declared by one man who is willing to wager his life to earn this prize.

That man was none other than Tokiomi Tohsaka. One of the seven Masters of this war, where he has prepared for this very day. It was to be expected of him though. After all, when others think of Tokiomi, they'd think elegant.

The fifth-generation head of the Tohsaka family, one of the architects of the Holy Grail War. Who's studied at the Clock Tower for five years straight and earned the admiration of his fellow classmates. Earning respect by his peers and having a fine ranking within the Mage Association. Being the second owner of Fuyuki City itself.

Yes. A quick look at Tokiomi showed that this man is indeed a fine magus. A perfect model for one even. After all, Tokiomi had the skill to back his status, knowledge that many would envy, and a fine heir that would gladly inherit his status one day. Being married to a fine woman and wielded great wealth while having the respect of both magus and ordinary.

An elite man who thought tremendously for his family's future. The difference between him and some ordinary magus may as well be a gaping canyon.

As such, many who gazed upon Tokiomi Tohsaka would think many things. Awe. Envy. Admiration. Honor. Love. Worship. Denial. And so much more.

After all, this is Tokiomi Tohsaka. Head of the great Tohsaka family who sought the Root. Humble, caring, inhumane, a true magus that would face any situation as calmly and rationally as possible. For a magus who walked the line of life and death to reach their goals, it's only expected they must face any situation with dignity. None more so than Tokiomi.

"Ughhhhh." Though one look at Tokiomo's current face and mood would ruin that. If anything, if a person would look at Tokiomi now they'd question if someone had taken his place. An imposter even.

For what should have been the face of a man with charm and grace, is instead a man with pain and shock. Nearby, even the normally stoic Kirei couldn't stop the look of surprise on his own face. Pondering if perhaps somehow he and his Master had been hit by some spell that caused this hallucination.

But this was real. Nothing in this scene is fake. As such, any hypothetical people that would be here would wonder what caused Tokiomi to look like this. It made no sense.

After all, in this current situation he should be pleased. For at this very moment, the fourth Holy Grail War has started.

Seven Masters. Seven Servants. A war that allowed the summoning of some of history's finest to aid the Master for their victory upon Fuyuki City. A battle to attain the Holy Grail and gain access to the omnipotent wish making device for the Tohsaka family's goal of gaining a path to the Root. A desire held since the making of the Holy Grail War's system.

Granted, facing seven Masters and Servants wouldn't be easy. After all, that was twelve enemies to face and whatever allies they may have brought with them to fight. There was a reason why these deadly fights occurred mainly at night while under the eye of the Church.

But here, Tokiomi had felt himself victorious. And why wouldn't he?

The Church, which normally joined as simple overseers and being neutral, are helping him out.

Kirei Kotomine, someone who managed to become a Master, is now helping Tokiomi which both reduced the number of enemies Tokiomi had to face while gaining additional help.

The wards in place within the Tohsaka estate are stronger than ever, with Tokiomi's family sent away to be safe and sound where they can enjoy themselves without getting involved in battle.

Not to mention, Tokiomi had gathered a relic that would be used as a catalyst. One to summon the greatest of all Heroic Spirits across history. With countless advantages, surely Tokiomi should have been more happy.

'What…what is this?' Here and now, he only felt a combination of shock, grimace, and great wariness at the scene before him. Were his apprentice here, he'd undoubtedly feel the very same.

It was strange really. Everything had gone according to plan. The relic, the ritual summoning. Nothing had gone wrong at all.

"Hahaha! Rejoice mortals." Yet everything did go wrong. As the rather haughty being that flipped their hair stood with great pride. Showing off their adornments of gold alongside a rather immodest amount of skin. Not even realizing the stunned state they put their Master in. "For you have summoned a Servant of great prestige." With twin-tailed black hair and a wonderful crown, the Servant called upon put both their hands on their hips.

All while Tokiomi sincerely hoped that the Servant he's seeing isn't what he thinks he's seeing.

"For I am the great Goddess of Beauty who rules Venus and governs fertility, war, and destruction." The Servant bragged like a child, revealing their title as if hoping for recognition. "For I am none other than the Goddess-"

"Rin?" With Tokiomi then interrupting, as he finally had to face reality and speak what was on his mind. Mainly, how he summoned not Gilgamesh, the King of Heroes, but instead what was clearly a grown-up version of his own daughter Rin.

Wearing an outfit that he did not approve of.

"Huh?" The Servant then frowned. Taking offense to being interrupted. "Rin? Who's Rin?" The name did feel familiar for some reason, but the Servant didn't like being called that strange yet comfortable name. "I'll have you know, I'm-" Then, just before the Goddess could claim her True Name, a light then flashed. Where, suddenly, instead of Rin wearing a rather inappropriate outfit by modern day standards, is Rin with blonde hair and dressed like some goth in a red mantle while showing off her creamy thighs.

"Servant Ereshkigal has come." The Rin look-alike declared while revealing her name, while Tokiomi's jaw dropped further as he saw what should be a clear violation of the Holy Grail rules. With Tokiomi getting a look that showed that somehow, the former had transformed from an Archer to a Lancer for some reason with different stats to boot. Another flash of light and suddenly 'Ereshkigal' looked like she did before.

"Hah! How dare you take away my introduction?" The Servant yelled, not at Tokiomi …but at herself as she pounded her feet on the ground. "I'm Ishtar! Ishtar! Ugh!" She then moaned aloud while crossing her arms. "Can't believe I'm stuck with you."

For the first time in years, Tokiomi pondered if he made a mistake in being a magus.

Not that he was alone in that department.

As at this moment, inside an apartment that is fully defended by his own magecraft, Kayneth Archibald was now having a splitting headache.

Before he already had a headache when learning his earlier relic had gotten lost somehow, forcing him to find a new one. But even with that setback, Kayneth still thought himself superior and more than capable of winning. Similar to Tokiomi, he had great capability as a magus, respect from others and subpar defenses to defend himself. As such, Kayneth believed that even with his first relic stolen, this second one would easily call upon another Servant that would suit him just fine.

"Wa-ha-woah! Awesome!" Instead, he's having immense doubts as he saw the Servant before him acting like some lunatic with no regard towards him. "I can see everything from here!" One who acted in a crazed manner while wearing what was essentially a onesie tiger costume with a staff that had an oversized cat paw at the end of it.

Even his beloved Sola-Ui looked on in shock at the Servant called upon. For what should have been a loyal knight of Fionna, instead is replaced by this-this…joke of a Servant.

One who didn't even reveal her name to him, her Master, and instead just ran around in circles and checking his base of operation before slamming herself on the glass walls to see the building lights through the glass. Her face plastered on the glass windows as her eyes wandered at all the lights and people she saw.

"Hm. It's not the jungle, but I like it either way." The Servant giggled while then narrowing her eyes. "Huh. Seems familiar to."

All while not noticing the fuming El-Melloi as he couldn't believe what was even happening.

'Just what is this?' He thought with rage and a hint of panic. 'This…This isn't the Servant I wanted. I don't even know who she is.' Already Kayneth had a bad view on this Servant, who's currently ignoring him and not even speaking to him. Granted, it didn't seem to be out of malicious intent, but the fact is she's paying more attention than some lights infuriated him.

Especially since with an unknown Servant like this, Kayneth now felt worried if he could even win this Holy Grail War. A good look at her own stats showed that aside from Agility and Luck, everything else was C or below.

"How…How did this go so wrong?" Kayneth then sat down and asked himself that question, with his Servant not even giving him a glance while his beloved looked conflicted on what to even say. To think that the Holy Grail War hasn't had its first battle yet, but already Kayneth felt like the odds had been stacked against him.

"Oh my. Is this…It is! Hehehe. Can you believe this? Look at who our 'Master' is." Though unknown to Kayneth, the odds aren't as stacked against him as assumed.

"No. No. No. Nonononono!" If anything, some Masters had it much worse than even him. Or maybe it was the Servants, as the second Servant seemed to look shocked at whom he was now contracted to.

"W-Wha-?" With Waver Velvet discovering that somehow, through a miracle or a joke by the devil, he summoned not one, but two Repeat. Two Servants.

A girl and a man. The former of which seems to be wearing modern day clothes while the latter had on a freakin suit that can be found in any shop that sold formal clothing with a cigar in his mouth. Though one that dropped when the Servant saw his Master.

'This is weird.' Waver thought. 'I was under the impression that a Master could only summon one Servant, not two.' Yet here Waver is, having two Servants. According to the information he dug before he flew here, he has both the Rider and Caster Class Servants. Both of which are now under his contract.

"..Hehe…Hehehe." Where, instead of being suspicious or questioning the situation, Waver did one thing. "I won." He whispered. "I won!" He then shouted with a wide grin on his face. Arms pumping in the air with the young Master then jumping in joy. "I can't believe it. I summoned two Servants. Two Servants! Woooo! In your face Kayneth! Who's a terrible magus now, huh?"

To think, this had all started just a while ago when Kayneth, his own teacher from the Clock Tower, mocked his report and claimed it to be foolish. Well Waver will show who's the more foolish one here. After all, thanks to getting the relic Kayneth should have gotten along with earning the Command Seals, Waver instantly flew all the way to Fuyuki in order to prove his teacher wrong. To show that his report wasn't dumb and win to get the recognition he deserved.

And with two Servants by his side, Waver knew victory was his.

"Ahh. Look how cute you were back then." All while his two Servants talked, with Rider giggling at Waver's actions before turning towards her companion Caster. "Now if only Gray were here."

"Ughhhh." Caster moaned greatly in embarrassment, especially when he saw Waver thrusting his hips back and forth all while standing over chicken blood and in front of the house that is his base of operations. "Why me?"

Though despite still feeling humiliation, especially with his dear 'sister' smiling at him, Caster then found something to be very suspicious. Particularly, how he and Rider are even here with his thought being, 'How did this idiot even summon two of us at the same time?'

Yes, that was indeed quite the oddity.

With it far from being the only one either. Something that Kariya found out the hard way, as he was on his hands and knees while looking at the Servant he called upon.

"Oh. What's the matter, Master?" A cute, feminine voice asked with a mischievous smirk on her face. Bending down while showing off a flashy purple outfit which was slightly see through and would have showed off her chest had it not been for the gold plating protecting her modesty. "Something wrong?"

All while Kariya instantly threw saliva from the summoning while clutching his chest at the sight before him.

This cute, adorable, absolutely precious Servant looks like…

"Sakura?!" The very person Kariya wanted to save. Which caused great confusion for Kariya as his mind couldn't comprehend Sakura looking or dressing like this. The white hair being especially off with the crippled Master showing confusion by what was even happening.

"Huh. Strange." With even Zouken of all people dropping the normal sadistic smile and actually frowning at what he's seeing. His worms reported that Sakura is in bed, yet here Sakura is right now. Or at the least, someone that looks very much like her if only with a different hair color, clothing, and clearly having a much different personality than the little brat.

All in all, neither Kariya or Zouken expected this at all. Not helping matters that Zouek was certain he gave that fool a relic that would call upon one of the knights, not some child. Still, maybe this isn't so bad. After all, so long as Kariya suffered till the bitter end, then Zouken cared not if he summoned the Knight of the Lake or this little brat.

"Hm. Do you take displeasure with this form?" The Sakura look-alike asked before chuckling. "I suppose it makes sense. After all," Lightly touching her chest and acting in a manner Sakura would never never act on, the Servant said, "Men do love a more mature woman." Her eyes then narrowed down on Kariya, who felt as if his soul was being peered into.

The child Servant grinned. "Ah. I see. Alright then, how about this?" Then a poofing sound is heard followed by purple smoke. It dissipated soon after though and soon revealed the Servant again. "A man such as yourself should love this form." The Servant then leaned down.

"Gah!" Only for such an action to cause Kariya much agony and horror. As his eyes now saw what may as well be a grown version of what Sakura may look like. A very developed bust that now hung down towards his eye level, long white hair that seemed to show off the starry knight, soft ethereal glowing limbs with gold ornaments of sorts barely protecting her modesty, if at all.

To Kariya, Sakura was someone he loved. To protect. But it was a protective type of love, nothing romantic at all. So seeing this 'grown Sakura' who showed her much developed body off, Kariya could only do one thing.

"Augh!" Scream as if he were a parent seeing their daughter wearing something inappropriate with the addition of his stress going up, his body convulsing, then fainting immediately in misery. The worms inside him not helping matters as they squirmed inside his body.

"...?" All while the Servant known as Assassin blinked confusingly while Zouken chuckled sadistically and realized that maybe this Servant won't be so bad after all. If anything, she seemed to already be causing Kariya a lot of agony.

"And I'm telling you, I ain't no fighter." With some surprises being a form of agony, with such feeling being felt by none other than Kiritsugu, who was feeling his dream already shattering. His own Servant, sitting on the ground with an anvil before him somehow and pounding with a hammer on some nameless blade.

By Kiritsugu's side, his wife Irisveil stood by him as she looked back and forth between her beloved and the Servant summoned.

Avalon, the very relic used, which should have summoned the glorious King Arthur had failed. Instead, the two had gained a Servant that clearly wasn't King Arthur, and instead a half-naked teenager with bright red hair who had asked if they had a forge. Soon after, he just summoned a forge and just began making a sword where Kiritsugu, in a rare moment of losing his composure, had asked, "Are you not going to reveal your identity?"

The response, "I ain't anybody special. Just some blacksmith that has no intention of fighting in this silly war."

Needless to say, Kiritsugu didn't take that very well.

As it meant that already, before the two could even head towards Fuyuki, their Servant has put them in a great disadvantage. Having just revealed he doesn't want to fight, which means that he won't aid them in trying to obtain the prize that was the Holy Grail War itself. Something that Kiritsugu wanted to save the world and bring absolute peace and justice. So, the fact that his Servant refused to even come with Kiritsugu and Irisveil to Fuyuki has caused the Magus Killer to be rather…upset.

Something Saber noticed as he replied, "Look, I'm a blacksmith, not a fighter." Pounding on the sword, Saber then stated, "I ain't worth squat in a battle with legends and historical figures who know how to fight. So best to just give up and try again."

Irisviel glanced at her husband, where his eyes showed a rare sign of anger and glaring at the Servant's back who didn't even seem to notice. Then, Irisveil saw one of Kiritsugu's Command Seals glowing. With a sigh Irisviel hoped that this Holy Grail War would end well for them. Because right now, it seems the beginning was a very rough start.

"...What…in hell…" With the roughest being for none other than Kirei Kotomine, who is currently standing in the church with his father who nervously looked back and forth between his son and the two Servants summoned and standing before them.

The first belonged to none other than Kirei, who had tried to summon the Assassin known as Hassan only to get some kind of little girl dressed like she's going to the snowy mountains with a…polar bear next to her. But Kirei can ignore them for the moment, much to the girl's ire, as he and his father's attention was more focused on the second and possibly most important Servant before them and potentially the entire Holy Grail War.

Summoned by nobody, instead, this Servant has been called upon because of the current unnatural state of the Fourth Holy Grail War. Called upon by the Grail itself to serve as an actual overseer like the Church, only with the power to back them up. Summoned before Kirei and his father Risei is none other than Servant Ruler.

"Hell? My. Should someone of the church say such a word in the Lord's home?" Servant Ruler, who has the appearance of none other than Kirei's own daughter who wore a very thin white robe that showed off her legs and has glowing gold eyes with a rather devilish smile on her lips. All while a rather large red and white weapon of sorts is right next to her and in a very clear threatening manner.

"Wow. Does the Holy Grail just pick any Heroic Spirit as a Ruler?" The young female Servant giggled as she petted her bear. Not that Ruler minded as she had other matters to attend to.

The job she had needs to be done and Ruler, while enjoying the expression that Kirei Kotomine is making, knew she had to fulfill the Lord's will and reluctantly decided she must move on. Though she'll go back to teasing Kirei later as for some reason she felt like doing so because she felt like she knew him greatly. Ignoring that feeling though, Ruler cleared her throat and said, "Hear me Overseer. For it seems a great disturbance has been caused within the imitation of our Lord's Holy Grail. One that has summoned me to deal with."

"E-Excuse me?" Still flustered, stuttering, Risei asked, "Whatever do you mean?" Kirei himself looked just as interested. Something Ruler gladly shared.

"It seems that there are more Servants than expected in this Holy Grail War." With the privileges provided to her as a Ruler of a Holy Grail War, Ruler has gained certain skills such as a wide range ability of ten kilometers to detect Servants, even ones with presence concealment and the two Skills True Name Discernment alongside God's Resolution.

Thanks to her ability and the knowledge of the Holy Grail, Ruler has learned that there were more than the usual seven Servants. "Here in this war, including myself, there are ten Servants."

"Ten!?" This was a shock to Risei. In all the Holy Grail Wars, there have always been seven Servants. But ten! That should be preposterous. It sounded like a great joke.

"Indeed." But it wasn't. With Ruler concentrating a little as she felt the abnormalities of this unusual war. After all, ten Servants with some Masters having more than one is odd already. Either way, Ruler can see why she was called upon.

"I'll be here to overview the abnormality of this war and what it could cause. Especially as the Servants here aren't even true Heroic Spirits." Both of the Kotomine men looked confused, not that Ruler blamed them. For little did they realize that the Servants called upon were spirits that couldn't attain the true ranking of Heroic Spirit. Not without a little help from humanity itself, as all the Servants summoned, even herself, were in truth a form of spirits known as Pseudo-Servants. Servants that had no choice but to use human bodies in order to sustain themselves properly.

Regardless, this won't stop Ruler from doing her duty as she would try and solve the strange mystery that has occurred here in Fuyuki. Especially since from what Ruler learned, the Grail had actually attempted to summon more Pseudo-Servants but stopped when Ruler arrived. It was a good thing, seeing as the war would only get more chaotic if too many Servants were called upon and fought upon this city which would wreak havoc upon it. Thank the Lord for giving such grace to Fuyuki.

Yet that grace can't hold for long so long as whatever caused this anomaly is out there. Which made Ruler curious really, as she pondered what had even caused this? From what she knew, the Holy Grail shouldn't have caused these abnormal summoning's and should have simply called out noble Heroic Spirits, not Pseudo-Servants.

'It's as if something had tampered with the Grail?' But what?

The child cried, wishing so desperately to scream.

But he couldn't, as the tape stuck on his mouth prevented him from doing so. The rope wrapped around his body and legs ensuring he couldn't run.

All while the mean man that killed his parents, lied on the ground with a smile on his face.

…despite the fact that he's utterly pale and emancipated, like he hadn't eaten in months. Such a state he was in, even though seconds ago he had been just fine. Having made some circle of sorts with the blood and holding some book before telling the kid his goal on summoning a demon.

The child didn't know much about what the man was saying. But he did know from his parents and books that demons were bad. They were liars. Tricksters. A tv show showed a demon being loud and mean as it attacked people. Why someone would want to summon a demon is beyond the child's simple mind.

But the man wanted to summon a demon no matter the cost. Claiming he'd feed the child to the demon in order to satiate its hunger.

"Mmm. Pretty decent. Enough to keep me going for about, oh, a few hours. More than enough to find another Master." It seemed the man was right. As the demon was satiated, after eating the man upon summoning. The child didn't really know what he saw. Just that the bloody circle lit up and from it some shadowy figure burst out, grabbed the smiling man, and then…the man was on the ground and the demon sounding happy.

"Buuut." The child then shivered, as he felt a cold gaze on him. "I could go for seconds." Two hands then grabbed the child, where from there, a mouth appeared and opened wide where the child only saw darkness soon after.

With that, the Fourth-Pseudo has now begun.

What happens when you call upon Pseudo-Servants? You get both Masters and Servants freaking out as familiar faces are seen. It seems this Holy Grail War has become quite abnormal.
