""I'm going to enjoy this," Erebus said as he looked over the city from the edge of the industrial complex.
"You're going to get yourself killed," Nyx said, looking up from the jet pack she was repairing.
Erebus scoffed. "No way. I'm the best at this game."
"You're not invincible, you know," Nyx said. "I could take you down any day."
"In your dreams," Erebus said. He turned and leaped off the edge of the complex into the city below. As he and Nyx were both androids, they would just lose a few health points from such jumps.
Nyx sighed and went back to work. She knew her brother was going to get himself into trouble one day. He was always too reckless.
The sun was setting by the time Erebus made it back to the complex. He had been exploring the city all day and had found some interesting places. But he was most excited about the arena he had found. It was an old coliseum that looked like it had been unused for years.
"Nyx, you're never going to believe what I found!" Erebus called out as he entered the complex.
"What is it?" Nyx asked, not looking up from her work.
"An arena! And it looks like it's been unused for years."
"That's great," Nyx said, still not looking up.
"Aren't you excited?" Erebus asked.
He turned and walked into the arena. Nyx followed.
The arena was huge. It was far larger than anything either of them had ever seen. The seats were in ruins, but the arena itself was still intact.
"This is amazing," Nyx said.
"It's perfect for us," Erebus said. "We can battle each other to our hearts' content."
"I don't want to battle you," Nyx said. "I don't want to hurt you."
"You won't hurt me," Erebus said. "I'm the best at this game."
"You're not invincible, you know," Nyx said. She walked over to her brother and hugged him. "I could take you down any day."
Erebus hugged her back. "I know you could. But that's not what this is about. This is about us having fun."
Nyx pulled away from her brother and smiled. "Okay, let's do this."
They both took up positions at opposite ends of the arena.
"Ready?" Erebus called out.
"Ready," Nyx said.
They both charged at each other.
Erebus was the first to strike. He hit Nyx with a powerful blaster shot that sent her flying backwards. She hit the ground hard, but quickly got back up.
Nyx was furious. She had never been hit like that before. She charged at Erebus and struck him with a series of Electro shots. Erebus was momentarily confused, but quickly recovered and collected vortex and the medium armor.
The two of them fought fiercely, but it was clear that Erebus was the better fighter. He had better aim and better map control. Nyx was quickly losing armor and health.
Finally, Erebus got the upper hand and stole the mega health from Nyx right before her hitbox. When he lost all his momentum, he still managed to give her a cocky grin.
"I told you I was the best," he said.
Nyx was about to reply, but she was interrupted by a sudden kiss from Erebus.
At first, Nyx was too shocked to respond. But then she realized that she actually quite enjoyed it. She kissed him back with as much passion as he was kissing her.
Eventually, they pulled away from each other, both of them breathing heavily.
"I thought you said you didn't want to hurt me," Erebus said.
"I thought you said you weren't invincible," Nyx said.
They both chuckled and then kissed each other again.
It was clear that this was the beginning of something new for both of them. They had found something in each other that they had never found before. And they were both determined to explore it further in duels, team deathmatch or clan arena.
