Seto Kaiba has died. How you may ask? Zero Reverse, he was there the day it happened to watch over things. Unfortunately for him everything went wrong and he lost everything. Well, that's what he thought before he woke up in a pure white void.

"Hm?" He hums as he looks around in slight confusion, the last thing he can remember was a flash of white before, blank. 'Did I pass out? Am I alive? Too many questions to be asked, is there anything here?'

Before he could start looking around he hears something. "Hello Seto Kaiba." Seto turns around and starts looking for the voice he heard mind trying to figure out where it came from. "You won't find me, you humans can not comprehend godlyhood, even though after death your mind does expand a bit." The voice continues.

'Dead?' Seto thinks, he knew about what happened, and now that he thinks further into it, a blast of light which would only knock him out is not a possibility.

"Yes, you are dead, however as one of the legendary duelists I have a favor to ask of you." Seto was able to believe that he was dead, after all when he tried to look down at his body he couldn't find anything there, it didn't seem like he neaded to breath and he couldn't feel his own heartbeat.

"What favor, and why are you asking me of all people?" He asks wondering why this godlike being wanted him of all people.

"Because." The voice started "You are the only one worthy enough for the task, your genius, dueling ability and the will power that surpasses even the gods. I could have asked Atem however his destiny was to defeat Zorc. And Yugi just isn't enough."

"And why should I agree to do what you ask? What's in it for me, and not to mention what even is this task?" Seto asks in slight trepidation.

"You will go into a time of duelists tens to hundreds of years in the future, with new summoning methods and all, wouldn't you want to make sure you are the best duelist in all of history by proving your power?" The voice asks.

"I don't see the point in proving myself stronger than people who think of me as a relic of the past. I am one of if not the strongest duelist who ever lived I don't need to prove anything." Seto says getting annoyed.

"Yes but." The figure pauses for dramatic effect. "In this world, or worlds if you will, your dimension was split into four pieces wiping people like you and Yugi from history, only one person could possibly remember and he is someone who has waged wars with duel monsters and real solid vision."

Hearing that Kaiba is surprised, not at the fact that real solid vision was "invented" he was able to do that however didn't finish the project because people could wage wars with them, rather he was surprised, no angry his duel disk technology was used for the very thing he turned with back on.

"So you want me to take this man out?" Seto asks taking a guess at what the being was saying.

"Not exactly, you see something went wrong in this timeline, in one place or another, in the end the side that was supposed to win, lost. I want you to remedy that."

"And this is my problem because? They chose to do this with my technology and if they fail in setting their mistakes right then it's their own fault." Seto says in annoyance.

"While true, I only want to say one thing." The being stops for a second only seeing one way to get Kaiba to agree. "Your brother Mokuba is currently in a state of limbo, he is set to die, however if you do this I could make sure he lives."

Seto narrows his eyes and speaks with anger. "Are you using my brother as a bargaining chip?" The godly being feeling a bit off put by this continues.

"Yes, so will you do this?" It asks.

"Fine, I will but don't get things wrong, I am not doing this because you asked me to." Seto says in anger. "But if I am going to do this how much information can you tell me about the place I am going?"

The godly being responds to him. "Nothing, you need to figure it out yourself, to be honest I have already given you too much information as it is, but I can tell you about yourself. You will bring everything you had on you when you died, that means you have your stockpile of virtualized cards in your duel disk and your anti magic suit. Just remember, currently you are not in any history book, no one knows you, and the only person you does has agents everywhere. Last thing, for an easier time with people I have made you sixteen again, the same age you were when you were in battle city."

As the godly being finished Seto's vision was filled with white. When he opened his eyes he looked around, finding himself in an alley he came to the conclusion that wasn't a dream. Feeling himself to see if he had anything on him he soon found something on his right side attached to his belt under his trench coat. Taking it out he found his duel disk.

With this he has access to every card he will need. Putting it on his left arm and taking out his duel gazer attaching it to the side of his head he viewed the connection he had to this world. A screen appeared infront of him showing that he still had all of his cards and devices he would need if he wanted to finish this mission and save this world.

If he wanted to find any changes to rulings he would need to connect himself to a duel disk of this time, sadly he doesn't currently have access to the resources of Kaiba corp, but he isn't going to lose faith because of it.

Putting his duel devices away Seto left the alley any starting walking in to the center of the city. He needs information and sitting around isn't going to help him in any way.

After a while of searching he came across a shop that seemed to sell duel disks. Walking in the man at the desk didn't seem to look at him oddly for his choice is wear so Seto assumed trech coats may have become more of a normal thing. Walking up to the man Seto quickly gets to the point in asking what he wants. "What type of duel disks do you have and could I see them?" He said knowing being to rough with his approach would give the man the wrong idea.

"Huh, sure." The man went under the desk and pulled out three duel disks, each in a different color. "We have curved edge duel disks, straight edged, and even some at different angles. Noticing the screen Seto doesn't say anything but merely picks one up and looks at it from all angles. Taking note of a usb port under one of them he asks the man something to distract him.

"I see, besides color and blade difference is there anything else that is different between these?" Seto asks smoothly as he sneakily plugs a usb port into the bottom of the duel disk.

The man thinks for a second before saying something. "Yes, some are purly for dueling while these can double as phones, I can go see if I have any of the older models." As the man left Seto turned the duel disk on and quickly navigated his way to the code of rules, after storing a copy inside the usb port he turned the device off and put the port back into his duel disk.

The man soon came back. "Sorry I don't have any of the older models, they have stopped being made a long time ago." Seto has what he needs so he makes an excuse to leave this situation.

"That's unfortunate, I guess I don't need anything else." After he said that he put the duel disk he took the information from down. Turning around he left the building leaving to the nearest alleyway. Once he gets there he takes out his duel gazer and starts looking through all the information he gathered. Things have changed, new summoning methods have been made. He knew about fusion and synchro after all he made one of them.

He looked into Xyz and soon found out their rules. Looking through any bans his cards may have he didn't find any, apparently there are no banned cards, there are limits and semi-limits but that is all.

Knowing the rules now the next thing he needs to figure out is any other way this game has evolved. On his way continuing to the center of the city he was listening to anything related to dueling people were talking about. He didn't get anything from it besides something called entertainment dueling.

As he was walking he heard some guy talking about the "Miami champoonships." this caught Seto's attention, when he held a tournament it was because he wanted the god cards, Pegasus held a tournament for some reason but his brother was kidnapped because of it, if anything is going on in the dimensions this tournament must have something to do with it.

Listening in he figured out that in order to participate he must have either fifty wins with atleast a sixty precent win rate or six consecutive wins. Because he just got to this dimension he didn't think he could find fifty people to duel, so six would be more optimal. But where would he find the duelists?

Then an idea popped into his head. From what the man said the championships start in two days. So the hopeless with be gullible. After a while of searching he hears someone scream. "We don't have time to waste!" Looking to his left he finds eight people sitting around, having a good feeling about this he listens in. "There are only two days left until the tournament! The closest one of us to getting in is richey and he only has four wins! We need to find more people if we want in."

"Are you talking about the Miami championship?" Seto asks coming out from around a corner. The men look at him and nod. "Well lucky you, we were sent out to find people who didn't make it in and give them a last chance. Pretty much if you beat me, no matter your score you will make it."

Seto says with confidence. The mens eyes light up at that. "If you want I can take you all at the same time." Seto says making sure to sound sympathetic. The people quickly agree and with that a duel starts in an alley.

Seto Kaiba 4000

Kaiba attaches with duel disk to his arm and puts on his duel gazer. The men looked confused by the technology but they ignore it because they have something else to focus on.

"Come on guys!" One of the guys say, they all go one at a time, Kaiba learned about battle royals and boss duels, that's why he made sure this game had the rules of a boss duel.

"Mr. president" a man said walking into the office of Declan Akaba. When the said president turns around with a questioning look the man continues "Someone has claimed to be a part of the tournament to temp people into dueling him while claiming if they manage to beat him they would automatically be put into the tournament no matter their score, although he went into a battle royal against eight people and beat them all, our guess is that he lied in order to take advantage of the despite duelists in order to get in himself into the Miami championship, would you like us to do anything about it?"

Declan thinks for a second. "No, let him in, if he was able to get all his wins this close to opening he could be a valuable asset, but tell me, which summoning method did he use?" Declan asked in wonder.

"That's the thing, he didn't use any." The man said. 'Interesting, so he beat eight people in a battle royal while not using a summoning method, if he manages to hold out, and from what I'm hearing he will, he could be an excellent lancer."
