Chapter 1: Rats -
Gregor sat awake in his bed looking at his two last remaining objects from the Underland: Ares tooth and the photo of him and Luxa in the museum smiling, just smiling at the flashing camera. It had been three years since he had returned from The Underland and he had only just stopped having the nightmares so he wasn't about to start it up again. Not a day went by he didn't completly miss Luxa with all his heart and soul but he knew he could never see her again, he left that life behind him when he moved to Virginia. Recently he'd been wanting to go back ther more and more but his mother would never let him, she knew it was far to dangerous, the last time he went there his best friend had died and he was covered in ireversable scars and knicks.
"GREGOR! Breakfast!" He flinched, he wasn't hungry a few moments ago but when he smelt his Moms signature scrambled eggs he suddenly felt starving.
"Coming!" he yelled whilst flying open the door and rushing down the stairs. Once he'd finished the eggs and toast he got changed and rushed out the door saying bye to his mother as he slammed the front door shut. jogging down the country road on his way to high school he ran into the corner shop in town.
"Hey randal" said Gregor to the shop keeper "Hey Gregor, on your way to school I see" replied Randall "Yup" said Gregor "can I have a two damson cupcakes please?"
"Here you go" said Randall as he brought out a small cupcake "that'll be $1.20" Gregor place the cash on the glass casing in the store and parted ways with Randall. Quickly scoffing down the cupcake whilst putting the other one in a tissue in his bag, Gregor walked down to the entrance of Nokesville School and into the foyer.
The bell rang as Gregor walked out of his classroom with his bag slung over his back "Hey Gregor!" shouted a voice as Gregor spun around to meat his adversary, "Where's my homework? you where supposed to do it!" said Danny. Gregor could see Lizzie, his sister, roll her eyes and chuckle slightly out of the corner of his eyes as Danny slammed Gregor into the nearby locker, Danny was a school bully who made Gregor do his homework for him Gregor could've opposed him but didn't want to cause drama so played along but this was getting serious, Gregor pushed Danny back and when he pulled his head back up he had murder in his eyes. Danny threw an uppercut at Gregor but Gregor expertlydodged out of the way and swiped Danny's legs causing him to knock his head on the ground and fall unconcious. The whole crown that had formed where amazed, they had expected Gregor to be beaten to a pulp and had not expected this out come at all. Mrs. Rodrigo pushed her way through the crowd andd gasped to find it was Gregor that had caused the commotion "Gregor how dare you! I will be calling your parents tonight you be sure of that!" Gregor nodded saddly as he walked to his form class.
"Gregor, that was amazing" said Sylvie in Form time "I never knew you where that strong!" Sylie was his only friend in school and they where both the nerdiest people in school so where prone to bullying. After school Gregor walked home while eating his second cupcake he'd eaten earlier that day and prepared for all hell to break loose when he walked through the door, he promised his mother he would never show his rager abilities in public so having broken this one rule he knew she would be Wrathful. Gregor put his key into the keyhole and pushed the door open "There's our little boxer" screamed his mother as she ran into the front hall "Mom please, I didn't mean to I was about to get beaten up!"
"Excuses excuses!" yelled back his mother "The fact is this, you beat up some boy in your class and showed the whole school your biggest secret! you're supposed to be hiding this!"
"Mom please!"
"Room. now!"
"Mom!"
"NOW!"
Gregor rushed up stairs and slammed his door shut, he jumped onto his bed and lay there, after a few moments he picked up the picture of him and Luxa in the museum to calm his nerves and lay down to sleep. About three hours later he was awoken by a plate of cold beans was slid under his door, he walked over to it and ate it swiftlt, god he was hungry, after he'd eaten he opened his window and sat in the frame watching the field outside the farm house.
