Professor Oak has an inquisitive look, Doctor Yung- someone who I am now going to be forced to keep eyes on- seems genuinely impressed by Fae, and some dude who looks like red haired Doctor Wiley from Megaman grits his teeth, eyebrow twitching in poorly restrained wrath.

I move the tea cup in my lap aside, gently lifting Fae more into frame, her tail wags slightly as i scratch her under the chin. "As I said before, say hello to Sylveon... the 'Intertwining Pokemon'. You may have noticed the ribbons coiled around her form."

Several silky strands find themselves wrapped around my forearm, causing me to gesture to them. "These... are quite special. They release a form of... calming... energy that can dispel the hostility of those wrapped within them. In addition, it grants them a form of empathy with whatever they have grasped and is typically used as a form of endearment or affection, but also in some cases used for hunting. They may look quite weak and fragile, but each ribbon of Fae here is capable of lifting over three hundred and fifty pounds. In addition, a Sylveon has tremendous regeneration focusing on these ribbons. If one is torn or burnt, it will completely heal in a matter of days if not hours without any form of serious medical attention."

"This... THIS PROVES NOTHING, BOY!" The orange haired man who I am ninety percent sure works for some sort of evil 'villain group' somewhere within the pokemon world shouts. "There are numerous types that doesn't have an evolution for Eevee! This could just be a normal type evolution, or fighting, steel, or even flying! It is ridiculous to create an entirely new type for merely one singular pokemon!"

I give him a half lidded stare, Fae gives him a half lidded stare, sharing my mock disappointment.

"For once, I suppose that is a valid interjection. Fair play, doctor Namba. Allow me to go through the types that are missing from the Eevee evolution line."

I lift a finger. "Bug. Dragon. Fighting. Flying. Ghost. Ground. Normal. Poison. Rock. And Steel."

"First, is bug..." I gesture to her face. "Lack of any sort of compound eye. Lack of mandibles or chitinous exoskeleton. No membraned wings nor any form of stinger. It is safe to say that from a visual standpoint, Bug can mostly be discounted, however, I suppose Dwebble and Crustle exist. Those are crabs more than bugs, yet they still have the bug type. The same could be said for shuckle, but I have gotten off track. Merely from appearance. We can safely discount the bug typing for now."

"Dragon? No scales. Horns. Or Wings, though i would absolutely love to find a dragon typed Eevee... once more, I don't believe dragon is possible." I continue. "Fighting? Hn. It is certainly possible, i suppose. These are other fighting types with light and soft colors, and her ribbons are quite powerful. Easily capable of breaking someone's arm if she so wished. Much like the Unovan pokemon Mienshao. Which uses its long fur atop its limbs as a form of whip. It is fighting type."

"So, could Sylveon here be a fighting type? Perhaps. Let us store this data and put it aside for a moment. The flying type. This is another type which doesn't appear to be the case... Sylveon here has no wings, and while pokemon without wings can be classified as a flying type, such as a Gyarados. These pokemon all have a method attain some form of temporary or semi-permanent flight, be it by gliding, or through some form of weak self-focused telekinesis." I continue to lecture. "As for Ghost? Fae here cannot discorporate any part of her body like all ghost types are able to do. Nor does she have any form of connection to death, thus Ghost is another impossibility for her."

"Ground type, is another impossibility, the same could be said for Rock. Fae does not possess any form of Geokinetic ability. She cannot manipulate stone, rock, mud, or even metal. Nor does she have any method to use them in attacks... also, her digging abilities are, quite shameful, I'm afraid to say."

The fox gives me a small glare.

"About on par with most other canine pokemon you'd find. Capable of digging a hole, yes, but you won't have to worry about a tunnel to the center of the earth should you leave for a day. On the topic of steel? Most share one trait. The unyielding and durable nature of cold, hard metal."

I rub both sides of Fae's head, squishing her cheeks slightly as she lets out a small purring growl. "But i must assure you, fae here is quite soft."

"Poison? Well, Fae here doesn't have that sheer resistance to poisons you'd find in a poison typed pokemon, nor can she make any poisons. Thus, that is discounted, leaving us with normal type."

I tilt my head slightly. "Yes, it's possible that she is a normal type. I'm not even going to pretend for a moment that I have some sort of catch all for explaining away the hilariously common entry requirements for the normal typing that roughly eighty percent of all pokemon have... or... do I?"

I pan the camera to my right, where a large black furred figure is slumbering.

I reach over and scratch the large curled form, a long neck slowly raising from the curled up ball, revealing the emo head of Azi, my all powerful alpha Deino who lets out a yawn that shows off his dozens of sharpened fangs. "I do have this dragon type pokemon here... and I have claimed that the fairy typing is as resilient to dragon type event as a steel type is to poison or a dark type is to psychic energy."

I clasp my hands together, a bright smile on my face. "So. Normal. Fighting. Or Fairy... Professor Oak, roughly how powerful of a normal or fighting type pokemon would I need... for it to walk off a dragon rage from a Deino of this quality?"

"An alpha deino?" The old Oak mutters, cupping his chin. "That is the Deino you used to battle the poison type gym leader Roxie, correct?"

I offer a sole nod.

"To be able to withstand any super effective hit from a gym leader's personal team, regardless of how much it was holding back... the only form of Normal Type pokemon i could see withstanding such an onslaught without any form of injury at all would be a Snorlax that could contend with any pokemon on an Elite Four's team. Perhaps a Slaking or Exploud? As for fighting type... anything less than a champion class Machamp is likely to come out of such an attack with a few scratches."

"Hm." I hum in interest as I turn the camera, panning it towards Fae who had walked out of frame a while ago. She offers a wave with a ribbon.

I look to Azi. "Three, Please."

The purple wave of draconic energy spews from his gaping maw, it crashes head first into the small eeveelution who does not even try to block or dodge.

*VVV-BOOM*

A tremendous smoke cloud is kicked up from the attack making contact with the wall.

*VVV-BOOM*

*VVV-BOOM*

Azi does it twice more, causing me to let out a low hum.

Fae prances out of the smoke cloud, letting out a small mischievous titter, looking a little ruffled more than injured.

She shakes her body off as if she had just come in from the rain and then skips back over to me, getting really close to the camera, the corners of my mouth turning upwards as she looks like a dad on facebook who is taking a low-angle picture of herself.

Her smug face fills the entirety of my screen for a moment as I turn the camera to face me yet again, the fox pokemon walking around and taking a seat on my other side.

"So. Here is the data we have collected. We have a possible normal or fighting type capable of eating blasts from an alpha pokemon as if they were just a mildly intense breeze. A pokemon that, as professor Oak has informed, would have to have the bulk of an elite four class Snorlax. One that is weak to poison and steel... then is resistant to fighting, dark, and bug type... I wonder. How could we ever explain such an anomaly within our type charts? A normal type that is resistant to fighting type moves?! A fighting type that is far more resistant to psychic type moves than the entirety of its type?"

"The only answer..." The blue haired engineer, Doctor Yung speaks up. "For such an anomaly... would be a new typing... and that means..."

He lets out a low click of annoyance. "I need to re-work a few things in my algorithm. Might I ask, are there any other pokemon types you plan to drop on us any time soon?"

Doctor Namba seems to abruptly leave, glaring furiously at me.

I make a mental note to keep an eye on him as well.

"Well, I am taking a look at the dark type and idly wondering if there's possibly a 'light' type, but that is purely theoretical and is not something I'd be willing to debate over." I nod slowly. "At the moment, at least."

"All that remains now... for scientists across the world... is deliberating which pokemon should be placed within the fairy type." I nod slowly. "I am aware of a few, sure. Sylveon, Dachsbun and likely its pre-evolution Fidough."

"The Clefairy line has been noted to have a fair bit of success against dragons." Professor Oak announces with a slow stroke of his chin. "There is surely going to be a lot of deliberation."

"Allow me to just say... the chance of Cle-Fairy being a fairy type is... quite high." I snort quietly. "That was actually what caused me to decide on the name 'fairy type'."

"Ah. Yes, I seem to have overlooked that... it's also possible that the Jigglypuff line holds the fairy typing as they are a comparable species." THE pokemon professor notes.

"I believe that to be the case, they seem to share more similarities than most regional pokemon." I agree.

I glance to the clock. 'hn. This is a pretty good. We've almost gotten through time allotted... I could probably leave early if i really wanted...'

I make a small gesture out of frame, folding my hands in my lap.

"My only worry, about this fairy typing, is that the simplest method to figuring out which pokemon is indeed a fairy type, is a little bit inhumane... blasting every presumably fairy type with a dragon type move. However, it is possible that through careful observation in tournaments, we could likely see which pokemon handle themselves better against dragon type pokemon. This should allow us to swiftly flesh out the ranks of the Fairy Type, without going out and capturing them, only to immediately shoot them with a weak blast of dragon fire."

"I-"

There's a small rumble that causes dust to rain down upon me, i glance upwards, then to the side. "Ah. It appears that the pokemon here are having a little disagreement. I should probably go and calm them down before they bring the ceiling down on top of me."

I bow my head slightly. "It was a pleasure meeting you, Professor Oak, Doctor Yung and I apologize for being forced to leave early."

With another rumble, i stand up, cutting off the camera.

I take a brief moment to make absolutely sure i had ended the call and turned off the camera, going so far as to turn off my watch entirely.

"Alright. That's good. Thank you, Gooey."

I look to the large purple bipedal slime dragon with a swirled grey shell on its back that had been pounding the cave wall like I had told him.

It lets out a low warbling growl and tilts its head.

I reach up and pat the side of its head, trying not to grimace at the slimy consistency that clings to my fingertips.

I walk deeper into the cave, cupping my chin. "I should keep an eye on Doctor Yung Simmer."

"Does his idea hold that much promise?" A voice questions.

I turn to glance at Courtney who has a small satisfied smirk on her face, she slowly walks forwards, eventually turning and walking alongside me as I make my way back the way she just came.

"It's not that..." I begin slowly. "He... well, let's just say I am quite good at reading people... and that man has a hidden madness about him."

"A... hidden madness?" The pink haired girl echoes. "How... bad would you say he could be?"

"Cackling madly while blowing up buildings with his faux pokemon. With that technology... can you even imagine what he could make? A Blastoise that shoots lightning... a Charizard that can use Ice Beam. A Lucario that has its fists turn into the heads of Hydreigon and fire two hyper beams at once."

"Dangerous..." She mutters, eyes growing wide. "It would be incredibly difficult to combat him as he just uses moves that your pokemon would be weak to, while also using a pokemon that is resistant to your pokemon's capabilities... should I keep an eye on his research papers?"

"No... Fairy Type has stalled him, and we have more pressing matters to worry about. After we have our certain issue dealt with... perhaps an accident could befall this unhinged lunatic before he permanently makes his technology a world-wide taboo, making it widely known as the 'inhumane technology that some random crazy terrorist used'. And, if by chance, we are there to pick up the pieces... even better."

"I see. Yes. We do have more pressing matters, I suppose." She agrees. "I watched the entire debate... that Doctor Mamba... I cannot believe someone so unprofessional was allowed to come to a debate that is overseen by Professor Oak."

"Well, I wouldn't say it was that bad. In just a short twenty minutes I managed to utterly kneecap his scientific accomplishments and cripple his reputation in the scientific community." I let out a single huff of amusement. "And I didn't even really intend to. Nor try at all. How fun."

She nods along slowly a sly smile on her face. "It was quite entertaining to see him blow up like that on national television. I do have a small question, Xander."

"Yeah?"

"I was coming out here to see if I could calm the pokemon that was causing the cave to rumble. This was your big moment. You had an exquisite opportunity to enter a discourse with the pokemon professor. Yet... it was a lie... two pokemon weren't causing issues, it was one who you ordered to cause a scenario which allowed you to leave the debate early... why?"

"A few reasons. The first and foremost one? I had accomplished my goals. Fairy type... is going to be widely accepted now. Widely spoken about. The largest breakthrough in pokemon since Samuel Oak's pokedex. The second... my untimely departure would more than likely cause the rest of the debate to peter out and end. Thus, there would be less time for Professor Oak to theorize, and less opportunity for me to reveal that I have a list of far more fairy typed pokemon that I originally revealed... as for why i am keeping them close to the chest? Once more to create discourse and as a bit of an elaborate smoke screen. To make myself seem less in control... less knowledgeable than I actually am. To allow people to potentially underestimate me."

"Figuring out a new type... is one thing. That is a fairly specific scope of science. Possible. People have done it in the past. However, I need to take into account my age. If I then proceeded to post something that listed each. And. Every. Single. Fairy type pokemon in existence. That would reveal just how deep my knowledge on pokemon is. If I were to reveal my encyclopedic knowledge of up to fifty fairy type pokemon that implies that I have closely studied far more pokemon species to determine even just those fifty."

"Who would you rather cross? or rather, who would you prepare more countermeasures against for when you do cross them. A teen who was raised around a strange new Eeveelution, thus realized that there was an inconsistency in the pokemon typing... or the teen which has studied quite possibly hundreds of pokemon species quite intensely. The time required to do the latter meaning I would have had to begin compiling data possibly more than ten years ago. Which implies that I either began researching pokemon at the level of most scientists with a doctorate at the age of six... or I am an unparalleled genius in my field. Capable of doing ten times the work of others in the same time frame."

"I... See." The girl breathes, she frankly sounds like she is in genuine awe. "Are you?"

"Of course not." I snort with a small eye-roll. "My father figured out that pokemon types have a 'gene'. Thus I used said research to look for it."

"That is- Incredible." She whispers. "You could revolutionize pokedexes with that!"

"Yeah, but I've just come off of revealing a new pokemon type. Dossiers for pokemon are one thing. Those are relatively quick to write... but not world shaking scientific breakthroughs like STAB- as minor as it is- and a new type."

"Thus, keeping a few things close to my chest. I'm more or less done contributing for possibly the next year or five... beyond releasing some research on the pokemon here, of course." I finish with a slow nod only to blink. "Ah. It seems I've gone wildly off topic. The third and final reason why I wished to leave early is because, well, frankly I do not do well in front of crowds of people. There are so many opportunities for you to mess up. To look foolish. To become the laughingstock of the whole world. I wanted to minimize chances for that- also I was getting mildly stressed- so I put an end to it."

Let's allow her to think that it was the first and second reason... and not mostly the third.

The girl lets out a low hum of acknowledgement as we finally make it back to my home.

I step inside, a small smile on my face. I can see Cynthia sat on the couch, a pondering expression on her face. "Fairy... Type?"

On the other side of the room, Alien Girl herself is sat, looking a little bit out of place, her knees brought up to her chest.

Cynthia looks up, hearing me enter the room. "Ah! Xander! Good timing! I have a question about Fairy Typing."

"Yes?"

"I sort of want a fairy type, so I was wondering if you could give me some sort of list of potential fairy type pokemon that I could seek out?"

"You've already got a fairy type." I yawn as I stretch my arms above my head. "Togekiss."

"Togekiss?!" She mutters, her eyes growing wide for a moment as they flick around the room.

"Yes..." She quietly whispers after a long moment, offering me a slow nod. "Thinking back on my previous battles, I believe you might be correct."

"Well. I believe I should get back to work. I'd like to make enough alloy for Gaia's future evolution before we leave this place."

"Zinnia... how is taming the Bagrunt's going?" I question as I sit on the couch. Courtney sits just to my left.

As expected she is trying to get closer and closer to me. With her sporadic future visions, she is never leaving my side. I cannot allow such a valuable asset to leave my hands... also I do like her company, thus I am actively trying to keep her happy and content.

My right hand woman...

I suppose that would make Zinnia my left hand.

The tan-skinned red eyed girl slowly turns to me, she has dark circles under her eyes, looking a little dead inside. "Fine."

She tiredly lets out a yawn, wiping an eye as she rubs her temple. She is only just beginning to understand the annoyance of the dark-dragon type.

"Want to know a secret?" I smirk viciously.

"Is it something that's violently going to piss me off?" She questions with a raised eyebrow.

"Trying to train a normal Deino would be twice as worse." I announce.

Her eyes flick to me. "Hah?"

"Yep. Twice as worse. Bare minimum." I smugly smirk.

"Well, it's a good thing I won't be training one, because you already have one and I don't really want to copy you." The states, a small frown on her face.

Courtney seems bemused. The Cyndiquill that wanted to come with her being much more mellow and Zen than most ghost types.

Klara is still asleep. Cynthia is still diving into that room of Historical artifacts I had.

The world is currently in utter chaos. Mainly as a result of my own actions.

'Fairy Type' as far as the eye can see.

"I can't fucking believe that there's a new dragon weakness." Zinnia grumbles under her breath.

She, along with possibly every single dragon trainer in the entire world... has had a very bad morning.

Man... I wonder what Lance's face looks like right now!

"Not just a weakness... a crippling weakness." Courtney replies, earning a pointed glare from the Draconid girl.

"Oh yeah? Remind me what type resists fire again? Oh wait! It's dragons!" Zinnia growls.

"What pokemon resists Fairy Type attacks? oh wait, it's fire." The pink haired girl shoots back, showing an uncharacteristic amount of emotion as she taunts and needles the Dragon trainer.

These two have been quite antagonistic of each other once they realized that they both wanted to date me.

I haven't done anything about it yet because I find that having two women fighting over me is a GREAT boost to both my ego and my self confidence.

Also, I sort of find it funny.

But, if they start getting to a point where I feel like they are legitimately at each other's throats, I'll stop it.

Anyways, a thought has been on my mind for a while ever since yesterday after the debate.

Light Type...

It's... Theoretically possible, right?

Even if it isn't... I could make it possible, right?

There are a few things i can think of to make this Light Type a reality.

The first, Digimon. Light Attribute digimon exist, thus I could technically bring one over. Hell, Poyomon SHOULD evolve into a light type- which is strange, as I could have sworn he was made of 'Dramon' type data, otherwise known as 'dragon' type data.

After Digimon, there's Bakugan, an anime where you hurled a bunch of little plastic spheres at magnetic cards. One of the six elements was 'Haos' otherwise known as 'Light'.

Next, on the list, would be Yugioh. I could probably get myself some form of light-dragon type fairly easily.

Finally... a fairly obscure one.

Off brand Roblox Pokemon.

Ah...

What was it's name?

Looman? Loomian?

Something Legacy.

That had light type, plus, out of everything here it holds the closest relation to pokemon as I'm fairly certain it was made from sheer spite. But, probably a lot more memorable than the most recent pokemon games, so there's that.

Regardless, it has light type. It has the route one rat, the early game bug type, its own form of mega evolution, early route bird, Legendary 'pokemon' and an Eevee clone that is a deer.

An Eevee clone that I think covers most of the types Eevee itself doesn't evolve into... including Dragon, Ghost, Flying, and Normal.

Fuck, even if I DON'T grab a Loo-man for the hypothetical Light Type... I should grab one of those cute Eevee deer just to study and see if I can discover a way to naturally evolve Eevee into some of its types.

Hell, I remember it being an adorable little bastard, so perhaps I could discover a 'new' pokemon as well?

Regardless, I can't really do it now. Not when I've said i don't know anything about my father's research.

I've got money. Reasonably, I could always purchase something now and hide it away in one of the 'extra labs' I've had 'my father' create elsewhere.

I'll probably do so once we begin to grow relatively close to one of them.

All it takes is one guy accidentally stumbling on the- as of this moment- mostly empty lab and finding the Blue Eyes White Dragon bone marrow for me to be out of like several million dollars and for some random fucker to have a blue eyes ultimate dragon.

Heyo. We're back! I hope you enjoyed this!
