I need to kill what to get a time travel coupon? Chapter 4

AN: Welcome back everyone, I hope that everyone that got this far is enjoying the story, and that this chapter will once again be a good read. Now lets get back on track with following the story of the jedi and clones stuck on Planetos, especially with battle that started last chapter still ongoing.

.

Battlefield Lourones, moments after last chapter left off

.

As Ahsoka manages to put the gunship down to the ground two clones rush in and drag the heavily wounded pilot out before rushing him over to the infirmary together with lieutenant Jackal, who had taken several crossbow bolts as he had stood up to fire on the group targeting the gunship just as another portion started firing at the town instead. Most had only done some damage to his armour however one had managed to go through a weakened armour pad on his knee while another had hit his helmet and broken the visor, sending shards flying into his face and causing various wounds.

''I'm going to handle the other side of town, any mobile reserve we've got, follow me!'' The moment the words leave her lips she starts running to the other side of town, lightsaber in hand, with the local troops running after her.

Rex looks around for a second before taking over command and opening local radio ''This is captain Rex I am taking command of the eastern side of the defence, prepare to repel assault, the gunship made it easier for us now we have to hold our ground!'' as he turns off his radio he turns to the men that had come with him ''Fives, you go and join command Tano, the rest of you join in the firing line and start taking out those archers!''

He can hear the 'Aye sir!' from them as they rush into position, him joining them as he ducks behind a small barricade for cover before looking over and opening fire with his pistols at a group of shapes he can see hiding in the grain field, quickly realizing something: whatever bows these men are using, they've got quite a bit longer range than the local hunting bows he had seen until this point, which would not have reached more than halfway between the town and the fields.

As he takes cover again in time to hear arrows slamming into the wood of the barricade, hearing the shouts from both sides before he peeks out of cover again, seeing that the horde of other troops is approaching, their cavalry closing in especially quickly in spite of the casualties suffered under the heavy fire. He curses in his head as he ducks back into cover upon seeing a bolt embed itself into the wall of a house not far from him, just in time to hear more bolts slam into and fly over the small barricade.

On the other side of town, the defence isn't going great, having expecting a small probing attack or scouting force, they had instead come under attack by hundreds of Dothraki cavalry charging in while shouting war cries. The spikes and tight paths were being used to the defenders advantage, however in spite of that they were being pushed back and many had already been injured, with at least two having passed on already, though the toll they reaped among their enemy was in greater numbers.

At that moment however an orange shape jumps over the men, glowing blade in hand as it slams into the front of the cavalry charge, bisecting one rider while throwing two more of their horses and into the walls of nearby buildings with her power. A follow up swipe with her blade beheads the horse of another rider on the left while chopping off both of his hands before she ducks away from the spear of the one on the right, following it up by chopping said spear in half from an underhand slash that travels onwards to chop off the mans right arm.

From pain and surprise the man jerks back screaming, falling off his horse only for the frightened beast to cave in his chest with a stomp while trying to get away from the glowing and burning blade. The entire assault down the path that could charitably be called the towns main street stops as the Dothraki all watch in surprise and some fear, callings of 'Witch' sprouting up among them.

This all made even worse moments later as the break in combat gives her the chance to focus on the force, grabbing up the weapons dropped by the now dead or dying men, turn them around and send them flying into the crowd with great force. This entire display has boosted the morale of the defenders considerably here, especially as they hear the shouts of their re-enforcements in other paths stalling the advance of the Dothraki there. At this point Ahsoka shouts ''Charge!'' while waving her sword into the enemy direction and though none of the men around her understand the words, the gesture most certainly is as they cry out and follow her.

The first Dothraki try to resist, slashing down with their swords and stabbing forward with their spears, however they are stuck on horseback in a not too broad path with the corpses of their comrades and their riderless or dead horses blocking it up further, allowing the jedi to easily dodge before she grabs onto the spear of one, and uses force enhanced strength to rip him out of his saddle and send him flying towards the defenders, who dutifully spear him in mid air before throwing him onto the ground. Meanwhile Ahsoka has moved on and is in a short exchange of slashes with two of the mounted men before chopping through the sword of one, her blade continuing on to bisect him before she chops off the front legs on the horse of the other one, sending him crashing to the ground out of balance where she stabs him through the chest before picking up the spear she had pulled out of a hand earlier and throwing it with all strength into the crowd.

The Dothraki around her, already frightened by the display of firepower on the other side of town start trying to flee from the witch all the while one of them is shouting ''Demon witch, this town has called upon demons for power!'' A short distance behind the clump their Khal has seen all this and is forcing his way to the front together with his blood riders, hoping to stem the tide.

As he reaches it he jumps off his horse to dodge another thrown weapon, it now spearing the bloodrider behind him instead. Two of his bloodriders dismount as well and charge forward with him towards the young woman in front of them, the Khal shouting a challenge in his native language all the while. Ahsoka only has the chance to throw the one on the left for her into a building with the force before she is forced to defend against the Khal and his last bloodrider, a quick exchange of slashes with them showing her that these two are both more skilled and have weapons of a higher quality than most of their comrades.

Ahsoka takes a step back and sends out a sweeping gesture to the left, throwing back several Dothraki that tried to interfere, before she charges forward again in a whirlwind of light, the Dothraki Khal barely blocking two hits before his sword breaks and he is thrown back with a burning wound on the right side of his face all the while his bloodrider misses a parry and loses his head over it. As the body collapses next to him the Khal sees anger in the orange skinned woman's eyes, snarls and charges forward in a last attempt to fight back.

A downwards slash while she sidesteps relieves him of his left arm, the upward returning slash makes him lose the right hand before a final stab forward destroys his heart. As the lightsaber is ripped out upwards through his shoulder its wielder now turns her attention to the frightened horde proclaiming ''Anyone else willing?!'' just as the two troopers arrive and start firing into said horde. This breaks the final resolve of most of the Dothraki as they start fleeing for their lives, as while they are brave, many are also highly superstitious and believe this woman in front of them is somehow a messenger of some divine power. Some remain however, kneeling on the ground and seemingly praying in Ahsoka's direction, a young man named Drogo among them as he looks at the vicious angel.

Who promptly ignores them as she instead force jumps onto the roof of a nearby building and starts throwing the riders still trying to break through in the side streets into the air, quickly causing another rout. Standing there on the rooftop, many of the militia soldiers look up in awe at their saviour before being roused by her voice ''Capture those who don't resist, mobile reserve, with me!'' While a large number cannot understand her, the order is quickly translated and spread, the militiamen carefully approaching the kneeling Dothraki as a small group breaks off and follows the woman.

As on one side a charge gets repelled, on another it is about to slam into the towns defenders, mounted soldiers as well, though in far fewer numbers as most were taken out on the approach even with the defenders having to often stay in cover to avoid being hit by the fire from the crossbowmen and later on also the small number of hostile horse archers.

As the first of these riders charges in and manages to hit a clone trooper with a slash that tears through his rifle and throws him onto the ground, repeated twin pistol fire erupts from close range and slams into the man's helmet, quickly tearing his head to pieces and in the process saving the downed soldier. Said soldier quickly makes to stand up, realizes his rifle is done for and instead grabs the curved sword the rider was carrying.

Now armed again, he sees that on the right one of his brothers is struggling with a dismounted rider, a savage looking essentially unarmoured man that keeps trying to stab the trooper with a dagger. Running up behind him he slashes down, managing to catch his target in the shoulder, managing to wound and surprise him enough for the trooper below to win the struggle for the knife and push the man aside while stabbing him in the chest several times.

While this is happening another rider charges them with a spear aimed for his head, only to get his horse shot out from under him, sending him flying into the wall of one of the nearby houses, allowing the now sword wielding trooper to stab him. As the last rider is dealt with by several shots ripping into his chest, throwing him off onto his horse, having died from his injuries by the time he reaches the ground. The defenders having won, though suffering casualties as one painfully grunting and one extremely silent soldier are being carried off to the town centre.

However while this was happening the infantry has managed to get close enough that the small number of infantry archers are now in range and start giving covering fire for their troops in support of the two remaining horse archers, one of which is quickly shot off his horse while the rest of the infantry tries a charge, now taking the full fire of the still combat ready troopers.

As they are approaching however, the troops can hear a cheer from the other side of town as Rex listens to the short range radio in his helmet before exclaiming ''Alright men, the eastern side of town has been won, the Dothraki have been driven off with a number surrendering, re-enforcements are on their way towards us!'' A short cheer erupts among the troops before they focus on the approaching enemy that is now getting closer, only for a large metal object flies over their heads, revealed to be the remains of their gunship, and smashes into the centre of the approaching force, killing dozens and wounding a similar number, throwing the attacking force into disarray and slowing them down, allowing the troopers more time to fire as Ahsoka arrives to support them.

A bit behind her more re-enforcements rush in, the riflemen now supported by the spear wielding town guards. As the opposing force sees more men streaming in to support the white armoured men firing at them, small groups start routing. It has been too much for them, the blasts from the flying vehicle, similar coloured and effect blasts shot by the defenders of the town and now signs that the Dothraki failed. As a minute passes, those small groups turn into large portions of the assaulting force, even as the defenders fire turns more towards the crossbowmen instead of the main force.

''AAAHH!'' the screams of his wounded and dying men are damaging his eardrums as bolts of plasma slam in around him, ripping open those same men and sending some into agony, others became eternally silent, while their return fire seems to have barely affected the enemy after the early success. Looking to the side Ymir can see that the charge of the mercenaries has already broken and outside of a few scattered groups they are retreating in a full on route, most of those groups that haven't yet being groups of the few archers among them that are instead taking cover where they can and giving limited return fire.

As the man next to him collapses, face burned beyond recognition, Ymir realizes the battle is lost. ''Retreat, back to Nykos!'' His call is taken over by his officers as they quickly start a disorderly retreat out of the muddy fields desperately trying to stay close enough to the ground to not fall to the blaster fire flying overhead. Shortly after the crossbow company has started their retreat, the final still resisting mercenary groups turn and rout as well, with the defenders victorious.

However due to the at least partially hidden nature of the crossbowmen in the fields, the defenders do not immediately realize this, and instead keep up the firing from cover at the fields, though now without the threat of an assault by the other group they can afford to be far more careful and keep in cover more. Ten minutes later, after not having received any return shots for a while Rex takes the risk and peeks over cover with a pair of binoculars and takes a good look, quickly realizing there are seemingly no enemies left.

''They seem to have retreated, tend to the wounded and everyone that is available, come with me to get their wounded and corpses out of those fields, before checking to see if we need to burn them.'' If they didn't remove them fast and burn down the section of crops where they fell, this town would experience a large epidemic within a few months and lose as many as they would have had this attack been successful.

Within five minutes afterwards a heavy sound reached them and soon a familiar shape appeared in the sky, with Ahsoka and Rex walking over to its landing spot where they could see Anakin jump out before he looks over the both of them ''Are you both fine, no terrible injuries right?'' As he is saying this he rushes over, first grabbing his former apprentice and looking her up and down, sighing in relief when he sees nothing besides some soot, before letting her go and grabbing Rex, looking up and down if he can see any holes in his armour or blood anywhere.

Rex lifts an unseen eyebrow before he speaks up ''Sir, I appreciate the worry and care, however weren't you supposed to be resting now after having spent almost thirty hours awake to handle a number of diplomatic issues between the various settlements in addition to handing out captured local equipment to help bolster town militia's and smooth over remaining tension? A task during which you had to jump into a very tumultuous river to save some children?''

.

Roughly eight hours ago, near a town several hundred kilometres to the north

.

While the town he was currently in looked idyllic, what with its beautiful river, nice patch of forest and the gorgeous flowers growing nearby, the scene before him made it very hard to enjoy all of it. Because once again Anakin Skywalker, General with No Fear, rising star of the Jedi order, had to do one of the things that he had always intentionally left to his old friend and brother in all but blood: Negotiating between two local groups that had a giant list of petty issues going back so long that nobody alive actually remembered what it all started over.

Said issues being exemplified by the four men and two women currently in front of him, all united only by throwing a temper tantrum worthy of a toddler upon his suggestion of finding common ground to co-operate over. While yes this had united them temporarily, within moments the attention instead turned back to each other and they were now shouting over the great crimes of 'Your son stole an apple from my brothers orchard!' rebutted by 'That was only because your daughter stole a pear from mine you little shit!' answered with 'That was only because your nephew was fishing in our spot the day before instead of staying on your side of the river!'.

While in and of itself this sounds not too bad, the problem is that this had been going on for almost an hour already, and that was after Anakin had tried to intervene, since he was called upon in the first place because the small group of troopers assigned to one of the towns had tried to put a stop to the fight at the start of the it but called over backup instead after realizing their attempts at mediating had only made things worse. A few dozen meters to the right of them, a duo of children was playing peacefully, as far as Anakin could tell the son and daughter in question that had stolen the apple and pear respectively.

Anakin sighed once more, he had been dealing with too much bullshit. He had spent the entirety of the past twenty-four hours dealing with issues like these kind of issues, but these two towns honestly took the cake in just how petty the issues where. In the other places it was usually still somewhat petty but there was at least a degree of reasoning behind it 'You stole my grandfathers plough horse and didn't return it until we arrived at your door with pitchforks!', things like that. Not individual pieces of fruit and fishing a few metres further down the river than you normal.

However as Anakin wonders about this he is the only one not caught up in the argument and as such the first to hear the splash as the boy falls into the water, the girl instinctively trying to pull him out only to get dragged in as well. Even as this is playing before his eyes Anakin rushes over while divesting of his upper clothing in moments, leaving him in only his pants and shoes as he jumps into the water swimming after the children while behind him their parents realize the severity of the situation.

He is only a few meters away from the children as they go under in the fast stream, sending him into a dive to follow them, grabbing both children and pulling them to himself before going up again while using previous momentum and his foot to push himself to a small inlet to the side of the river, keeping the sputtering children with their heads above the surface while wading through the less deep water there. He can hear a relieved shout from the parents as he brings the children to the shore, with them immediately being taken out of his arms by them.

As this is happening he turns towards the two not busy locals ''So how about this, I give both an equal amount of equipment captured from regional pirates, at least enough to properly equip ten guards each in addition to getting somebody to tutor your children if you wish and in return you all lay down the fighting instead of your children having to be more grown up than you since at least they can put aside the grudge when required?'' With a mixture of thankfulness at his saving the children, concern over just how annoyed he sounded and slightly ashamed of how they hadn't noticed the danger to those children in time because of their arguing, they finally agree to talk like reasonable adults.

.

Back to the present

.

As Anakin has finished looking them over, he has an almost immediate reply ''Yes, but the moment the combat alert goes off and I get panicked messages that the two of you are going to be re-enforcing a garrison facing an army of at least two thousand, probably closer to three thousand with a force of at most two hundred strong, with then at least a hundred of those being local allies, I can't help but very quickly get very worried, especially when I then get a message of your gunship being shot down while I'm preparing for take-off.''

At this point Ahsoka pulls his attention by grabbing him by the arm and dragging him towards the town ''And you won't be able to help anyone if you collapse while on the way, especially not when you are piloting aircraft, so you are going to be here in the town and only help the locals with working that radio since the men responsible for it are currently wounded, while I will take your fighter to chase the fleeing enemy and Rex oversees the removal of bodies.''

As Anakin makes to reply she cuts him off before he can even start ''And no you aren't going to do anything, you are staying here and filling the position as radio-man for the next hour or so and maybe help with medical care using the force to calm patients, you are not going out onto a battlefield with how tired you already are. You've literally had two hours of sleep at most in the past two days, I'm not letting you endanger yourself right now.''

Anakin sighs and pulls his arm out of her hold ''I'm fine Ahsoka and you seem to forget that you are still my student, not the other way around.'' She looks at him with fire in her eyes and he realizes she isn't going to let him fly ''Okay here is the deal, I rest up until the next gunship arrives, then you go with my fighter while I will join with the troops in the gunship by your side. Then once we find the enemy we do a short long range bombardment after calling on them to surrender themselves, while staying high up enough to be out of their firing range. That good enough for you?''

She thinks it over for a moment before nodding her consent, at which point it is he that grabs her by the arm ''Good, with that dealt with now the both of us are going to rest for a moment while I interrogate you on how the battle went and what to expect from the remnants of the opposing army, before we visit the wounded in the hospital.'' At this point he realises he's now been ignoring Rex ''You fine with me taking her away from her work?''

Rex nods ''No problem, the only thing we really need to do is get their corpses and left behind wounded out of those fields while taking care of our wounded back in town. Not something we need any jedi expertise for. Though after the mission I'll have some recommendations for adding to the equipment of our troops to suit the local environment more.'' Anakin nods before walking away to the town, Ahsoka walking by his side, having escaped his grip while he talked to Rex.

.

A few hours later, with the retreating army

.

Ymir looked out over what remained of his corps as they retreated, having taken just over two hundred casualties during the assault with at least fifty more suffering varying level of injury. The only good thing to come from that was that there had been more than enough horses left when they returned to mount the entire unit to allow for a fast return. A short distance away from his mostly mounted and still organized retreat, he can see the slow stumbling of the mercenaries, their cohesion broken and with few if any ready to fight again anytime soon while the majority moves in various small groups, all looking at the sky in fear, dreading the possibility of receiving another bombardment from above from a vengeful opponent.

Even such a short time after leaving the battlefield, the majority of them is already falling behind the retreating speed of Ymir's own troops, a mixture of exhaustion and injury in addition to having barely any mounts left slowing them down, with the only groups ahead of the crossbow unit being a small number those that had retreated earlier in the battle.

Suddenly a heavy droning sound could be heard in the distance, that the soldiers had only heard once before, and it immediately scared all of them as most of the mercenaries started panicking and tried to run for cover with their fear realized, often getting in each others way in the process.

Ymir grimaced and was paralyzed by fear for a second before shrugging it off and shouting to his men ''Open formation, keep moving and fire whenever it comes into range!'' he then turns to two riders near him as the men begin spreading out and reloading their crossbows ''Itsvan, Dragat, rush back to Nykos, tell of our fight and the loss we suffered. Inform them that if some messengers of ours do not arrive within half a day after you, that we have lost here as well.''

There in the distance, two shapes become visible on the horizon and the crossbowmen start aiming, but while they get closer they start hovering far out of the range of their ground bound opponents while a message starts blasting ''This is general Anakin Skywalker to the hostile forces on the ground, we are here to negotiate your surrender. If you comply, send a group of at most eight men a kilometre back into the direction of the town you just came from to negotiate. If you do not comply to this demand within the next two hours we will open fire and kill the remainder of your forces.''

.

And that is the end of this chapter, ending on another cliff-hanger. My apologies for it being so short even with a decent length of production time, I have been busy grading things for my students and catching up on work after recovering from some health issues, I hope it is to all of your liking. Now onto answering the reviews.

Gnormann: Having gunships on Planetod is wayyy too OP

Answer: They're space faring people with laser guns lead by people that can move objects with their minds and read people's minds… them being OP was going to be a thing regardless as long as I don't write them as idiots.

Jaesonscott: Pretty good

Answer: Thank you for the complement

Qinlongfei: Interesting story for a crossover. I personally don't mind the OPness of the crossover itself, depends on which direction you go with your current story. Seeing Anakin and his legion essentially start uplifting the people of Plantos is an interesting angle to go about.

That being said... the dialogue of this chapter isn't the best. Everybody speaks in overly elaborated and complicated sentences. This works for characters with more sophisticated background, but looks really out of place for everyone else (especially the pirate slavers) and make going through the chapter a chore. Hope you put more thoughts into the dialogue in future chapters, as this is a rather interesting idea with potential for a good story.

Answer: Thanks for the compliment and that was a large part of the reason behind why choosing game of thrones as the world they got sent to instead of something a bit more advanced. Good that you mentioned the dialogue though, could you send me a D.M. with more specific information on what about it you found overly elaborate since for the most part I relied on a mixture of trying to put myself into the characters shoes and using the speech patterns of people that I know/know of with similar personalities or backgrounds to the characters.

DojoYoyo: Another fine crossover added to my reading collection, looking forward to this

Answer: Thanks for the complement, I hope that opinion stays

Well that was it for this time, once again I hope all of you enjoyed it and please do leave a review with your opinion on this chapter.
