Disclamer: I do not own Fairy Tail or its characters. However! The original characters in this Fanfiction that I created belong to me! Do NOT steal them.

Most stories that are told, begin with ever pleasing things like song, dance, harmony, peace. Yet, not none of those things happened at the beginning of mine.

My story is certainly a long one. So many important events and moments that happened shaped me to be the man that I am today. There are many, many, people that I owe my successes and achievements to; but I feel it would be harder for me to say it all here to you.

I, Cadewell Philipe was a boy born in the year X742, with short jet black hair, emerald green eyes and a hard to see birthmark shaped like a lightning bolt, which came down just under my left eye sitting next to my nose. My black hair was inherited from my lovely mother and my green eyes from my brave father. Everyone says that I gained most of my energetic spirit from my father, who had joined a guild when he was only 12 years old. I also loved to read, something me and my mother both shared.

I will never forget the most important day of my life. You would think that it would be a different sort of day, but I feel it was this one that brought me down the path that led to me where I am today. The day that started it all…

-The Enchanter of Fairy Tail-

Arc 1: An S-Class Discovery!

Chapter 1: The Philipe Family

Year: X752. 32 years till Canon begins

Cadewell Philipe POV:

"Man, I can't wait to get back inside! I had so much fun playing outside!" I beamed with a smile as I ran to the back door of the house. I had spent a nice sunny day in the back garden of the manor we stayed in, I was reading a book, and tried to climb a few of the trees that lay in our garden. The manor in question was a huge three floored house, made out of smooth stone bricks. It was one of the biggest houses in Magnolia.

It included a grand hall that allowed a lot of guests to stand and converse in; a grand bathroom that had a huge bathtub; a grand bedroom, that was usually suited for whoever owned the manor; a library with many different volumes of books that went back decades; a dining room that could allow many different people to dine in and so many other rooms beside those ones! The building itself resided on the vast hills just south of Magnolia where we all stayed. The back garden meanwhile, was a huge area with its own little small enclave of trees and a small pond nearby them in. A large stone wall marked the end of the garden. Beyond that lay the many fields that stretched across Fiore. Fields I've never explored alone.

'I wonder if mama made anything nice to eat?' I thought as I ran, getting closer to the back door. As I was running, I failed to notice in the shade, that there was a rather large pit of mud just waiting for a young boy like myself to run into. I was completely oblivious to this little detail, as I tripped face-first into the squelchy mud. 'Aw no!'

I barely crawled back up out of the mud, and onto my two feet, nearly slipping as I did. When I stood up straight, I suddenly realised that the mud had gotten into my hair and shoes. It was bad enough to have it on my clothes, but it was so much worse to have it in my hair!

'Mama's gonna freak out over this…' I dropped my head with a sigh, as I slowly trudged my way to the back door. 'I've always hated this yucky feeling. The feeling of mud being in my shoes. But I never mind water that much.' I made my way to the back door as I opened it up - a mucky handprint being left on the glass as I did.

"Mama! Papa! I fell in the mud outside again!" I shouted, walking in a very stiff and rigid manor into the house through the back door. I was doing my best not to make a mess of the place. I heard the sound of footsteps entering the room, as I smiled seeing who it was. "Mama!"

"Goodness me! I would have thought that the heatwave from the past two days would have dried up all that mud outside!" Gasped the young woman who entered the room, quickly rushing over to me.

June Philipe, my mother, was a young women in her mid 30's with long, straight black hair, navy blue eyes. She always had a calm and caring personality for anyone who she knows. She was currently wearing a nice red shirt, with blue shorts and a set of sandals. I hope none of the mud on me would get over it… She stopped next to me, leaning down.

"You didn't trip over anything in the garden and hurt yourself while you were outside, did you?" She asked with concern, now wiping the mud off my face with a dish towel she had picked up off the counter while running over. It was a shame… she had only just gone and bought those clothes for my birthday party coming up. Of course they just had to get ruined a week or so before the big day.

I think I remembered mother saying that she wanted to go outside and read her new book she got a few days ago… but that may not be possible now. I guess her book would have to wait another day considering that tomorrow was to rain and she always liked reading outside. I rose my head a little as I answered her.

"No, I just tripped in the mud, but I would have rather gotten soaked with water rather than be covered in mud" I replied with a tint of shame in my voice, not looking my mother in the eyes. "Where is Papa?" I curiously looked around hoping to see him emerge from one of the hallways and use his magic to get rid of the mud.

"Oh, your father is at the guild today. I was hoping to take you round to see him before he went off on another job, but that may not be possible now. After all, you've been drenched in mud. You certainly can't go outside the way that you are. You young man, need a nice warm bath to clear all that mud right off you" My mother concluded, wiping off the remaining mud off my face. I smiled up at her, as she stood up straight.

"Take off your shoes and socks, and I'll clean your feat. Then I'll run a bath for you. Your father may not be around to help with the bath, but we can still run one." When she finished saying that, I took off my shoes and socks and dumped them in the washing basket. Mother then sat me down on a chair, as she cleaned my muddy feet with a clean dish towel that she wet. After that, my feet were dried, as we both went upstairs, entering the huge bathroom. I sat on a stool, as she began to run a hot bath for me.

The grand bathroom in the manor, was one of the biggest rooms in the manor. It had smooth marble tiles for the floor, with a white, smooth stone wall. There was a huge grand bath in the centre of the room, which could hold about ten people.

"So what job is papa doing?" I wondered with mild curiosity as I kicked my feet in the air. Father worked a guild known as Fairy Tail, a place where other magic users like him would get together and help others. Though I actually hadn't been into the guild before.

When I asked my father if I could go in to see what it is like, he swiftly dismissed that idea saying that it wouldn't be safe for me in there, and that I was most likely bound to get hurt by a stray spell. He said that when he was my age, that exact thing happened to him! He was fine afterwards though, so I found it a bit odd be didn't want me to go over there.

But I did still keep my distance from the odd shaped building. I was a bit nervous that I would be blasted back by a fireball coming my way. Not to mention I didn't have magic… Or at least right now I don't have any.

From what I had read in the towns public library and heard from my father, most mages discover their magic before the age of ten, as at at that point the ethernano inside an individual will develop and grow allowing them to use magic. Well… that's what I read at least. I don't really know the specifics of how it works. But I was nine years old and still hadn't discovered my magic yet. What was taking so long?

Well, I also read in that book that only around 10% of people in the world can use magic… maybe I just didn't have the option to learn it altogether… Father had it, so surely I had it as well? I was beginning to lose all hope at the idea of potentially joining father at Fairy Tail, helping people who needed it. Maybe I could learn magic… but I didn't know how that worked…

But I was still holding onto a slither of hope that my magic would awaken on my 10th birthday, which was in just a few days time! I could only imagine my father's reaction if that happened! He would be so happy to see me use magic!

My father in question, Cobalt Philipe was an S-Class wizard, and he was super strong! The strongest in the guild! He uses a special kind of Water Magic, which is able to suck out fluids from any form of life that has water inside of it. But I don't think it works on actual living creatures.

I didn't remember much about the magic itself, but he had shown me a quick demonstration a few times out in the fields away from Magnolia. This was mainly because my mother was really angry the first time (and ultimately last time) he used the magic on the flowers in the back garden. Father then quickly ran to the guild to get a job that took him to the nearest train station, which would then take him out of town to avoid getting a scolding. I grinned at the memory. Would I have cases like that if I became a wizard?

"There!" Mother said snapping me out of my thoughts, as I then turned and looked to look at the bath that had been set for me. Mother had gone all out for me! But she did know I loved baths. What really surprised though me was the amount of bubbles in the bath, towering over me making me look like an ant in comparison. I had always loved playing with them while taking a bath, blowing them at mother and father while they tried to wash my hair. But father would always uses his magic to splash me with some water back.

"So will that do?" My mother asked looking at me with a smile on her face. It was as if she knew the answer to that question. I only beamed back.

"Yes! Thank you mama!" I answered with a big smile. "This is great!"

"Well then, in you go! I do need to wash that mud out of your hair now. That's not mentioning the fact that it's probably gone all the way up your finger and toe nails." She muttered with a tint of concern. "If we don't wash it off now it may never wash away, and you wouldn't want dirty finger and toe nails now would you?" She stated as she tilted her head to the left a little.

She didn't need a response from me, as I quickly made moves to undress myself as she quickly turned away from me, clearly not expecting me to undress that fast. "Honestly… Could you have at least waited until I turned around Cade?" She grumbled at me. "Don't worry about the temperature of the water it should be fine for you."

I undressed myself as I then climbed into the bath and surrounded myself with a bunch of bubbles. "Ok,that's me ready!"

"Good. Now then, let me get that mud out of your hair then you can relax in there for a few hours ok?"

"Sounds good to me." I relaxed with a smile on my face. As she started to scrub my hair and wash it with shampoo, I brought up a question that I had been wondering for quite a while now. "Mama? Do you think I'll get my magic before or on the day I turn ten?"

My mother simply sighed deeply. She had been asked this question a lot before.

"I'm not sure Cade… I know that you think that just because your father said he awakened his magic when he was nine years old, only joining Fairy Tail three years later… but… that doesn't immediately mean that you may be born with a magical container inside of you right? I just… don't want you to be disappointed if you don't develop your magic before then."

"Yeah… I've heard." I mumbled. "And read, and said, and heard again…"

"There have been cases of children born to parents who were both mages and not developing magic power. In any case I don't think you should worry yet. It might choose to surprise you on your birthday." She assured me with hope, after finally getting the rest of that mud out of my hair. "How about this? Even if you don't have magic, you can still go in and see Fairy Tail as long as your father is with you. Would you like that?"

"Huh? Really?!" Mother only gave a soft chuckle in response. "Aw yeah, I would love that! Thanks mama!"

"You're welcome Cade." She thanked me as she took her hands away from my hair. "Now then, I take it you can wash yourself? I have to see your father off at the station. I won't be long, but it's important that I see him away for this job." It was sad that I wouldn't be there for father, but I get why mother needed to go.

"Yes mama, that's ok. Oh! Tell papa I said good luck for his job and that I love him!" I quickly added at the end. If I couldn't see my father off then I could at least deliver a message of good luck. "I can't wait to see him when he comes back!"

"Of course I will. I'll see you in about an hour or two, don't stay in their too long ok? I wouldn't want to see you all pruned when I come back." She said smiling as she turned away from me and made her way out of the room. "I'll lock the doors as I leave, bye Cade!"

"Bye mama!"

1 Hour Later.

No POV, June Philipe:

As June disembarked the carriage she had hailed to get to the station, she quickly looked around the station to try and find her husband. The station was jam packed with tourists looking to visit Magnolia, wizards going on job requests, as well as friends and family here to visit each other. It was difficult to make one person out from the other, and June was forced to scan the entire station to try and find her husband.

Apparently this was the last train out of Magnolia Station today which definitely explained why it was so busy. June could only hope Cobalt would still be here, he only took the job a few hours ago before coming back to the house to inform her. It would be a real shame is she had missed him and he was already on the train. Though June was a little sceptical about Cobalt going on an S-Class quest only a few days before their son's 10th birthday.

She had learned the hard way that S-Class quests are not quests that you can just do in a day and then come home immediately after for dinner. No, these quests could take days to complete, and that's not including the journey to get there and back again. She had to be reminded by Fairy Tail's Guild Master that these quests can take days to complete, as she had spent the first few days when Cobalt went on his first quest scared that he had died. Not to mention that the after effects the jobs can leave on people can be rather painful…

Now of course, the reward of a few million jewels per S-Class job was very nice. But it did mean that Cobalt wasn't able to spend as much time with their son as she wanted. That's mainly because the manor the three of them stayed in had quite the large rent. 500,000 jewels a month; and that's not including things like food, equipment and many other things that had to be bought on the daily. But still, the money was a necessity for all.

As June was looking around, trying to find her husband, she heard the loudspeaker in the station ding, as it was about to deliver a message.

The final train today will depart in ten minutes time. Please be ready to give way to other people leaving the train before entering it yourself. Thank you for your patience.

"Excuse me." June spoke to a train conductor who had just finished directing an elderly couple. "Have you seen a wizard from Fairy Tail? He has green eyes, blonde hair and he has the Fairy Tail guild mark on his wrist. He should just be passing through here and getting on the last train today."

"Hmm?" The conductor says turning round to see her directly. "A Fairy Tail Wizard… Ah yes! I saw one just a few minutes ago that matches your description. He asked me where the bathroom was, he should just be coming out now." The conductor said with a nod before moving away.

Just then a blonde haired, emerald green eyed who looked like he was in his mid 30's emerged from a corridor just ahead of where June and the conductor were talking. He had a brown cloak which covered his entire chest and came down to his knees. Underneath that was a dark blue shirt. There was a rucksack slung over his shoulders as well as some grey boots which seemed good for travelling in. This man was June's husband, Cobalt Philipe, an S-Class wizard in the Fairy Tail Guild, as well as a caring man and father to their son.

He looked around the station to see if the train had arrived yet, and noticed his wife. "June?" Cobalt spoke, looking a little surprised to see June. Cobalt quickly hurried over to her with a smile on his face. "What are you doing here?" He asked with both surprise and happiness in his voice as he made his way over to her.

"I came to see you off of course!" June answered, hugging him as she reached him, before then kissing him. "What sort of wife would I be if I chose not to see my S-Class husband away for another job?" She said rolling her eyes at him.

"You'd be an S-Class level wife that's for sure! You know you didn't need to see me off. I already said goodbye to you before I made my way here." He commented chuckling. "I mean I appreciate it, but I think that Cade wo-"

Cobalt suddenly frowned.

"Wait… Where's Cade?" Cobalt looked around the station. "Did you leave him at the house?" He wondered, with a surprised and curious tone in his voice. "Ah… You know that I don't like him running around there all by himself at the age he is. Knowing him, he would probably climb up a tree in the garden, fall and sprain his ankle… or worse break his leg!" He stated giving June a concerned look. "Pierce and Charles aren't even in to watch over him…"

June held his hands to assure him. "I don't think Cade will be going out into the garden for the rest of the day. He ended up tripping and falling into some mud outside. Currently he's taking a bath in the grand bathroom and probably playing with the bubbles." She assured him in her usual soothing voice. "By the time I get back I'm sure he will still be in there."

"I suppose… By the way I forgot to ask yesterday, were you able to get a birthday gift for him when you went into town yesterday? Don't worry I'll get him my gift when I pass by Crocus on the way." Her husband asked with interest.

"Yes you don't need to worry, I brought him that board game he's kept eying when we go into town together. I've hid it in the basement. There was one more thing I wanted to try and get him, if you don't mind."

Cobalt showed curiosity. "What would that be?"

"A Magic-Reading Lacrima! That way Cade could see if he really does have magic or not!" June answered with a smile. "It'd answer a long time question of his."

"Huh…" Cobalt seriously considered that idea. "…Yeah, I guess it wouldn't hurt… I mean, I'm fairly confident that Cade has magic, but I don't like the idea of him using it and having the results come back as a negative…"

June frowned, matching her husband's expression. "Me neither… but I think it needs to be done. But if it does work, it'll be the best gift Cade could ever receive on his tenth birthday!" Cobalt smiled back, agreeing with that. "Speaking of which, exactly what are you getting him dear?" June asked. Her husband had been hyping up their son's 10th birthday for quite some time now, and that had gotten her curious about what his gift would actually be.

Cobalt simply smirked back at June. "Well as you know Cade has been wanting to be a wizard and join Fairy Tail for some time now and I think I found the perfect gift to help him with that. It'd go well with that Magic Reading-Lacrima."

"Oh? Well what is it then?" She thought with curiosity after saying that. Was it perhaps a gift to instantly develop ethernano in a person? Or… it could be one of those new lacrima implants that have been getting quite popular recently. Apparently they could massively increase the individuals magic power and potential as well possibly giving them a new magic altogether.

The main issue was that it could leave lasting physical implications on the person who implanted in themselves ranging from a simple scar across your face… to disabling your arm altogether. The chances of getting a perfect lacrima implant with no negative physical downsides was very hard as they were recently created. But June quickly dismissed this idea. Her husband wouldn't even consider getting their son a gift that could potentially hurt him in any way! So what was it then?

Cobalt smiled at her. "I finally found the key to unlocking that ancient spell book!"

"Wait… As in the key that could translate… that?" June's jaw dropped in utter bewilderment, at the idea of that finally being unlocked after years.

"Oh yes!" Cobalt replied his smile growing even bigger. "That would be the perfect gift for him now wouldn't it?"

"B-But how?! I thought they were both lost years ago. Well that's we were led to believe of course…" She muttered ignoring her husband, still in thought at wondering how this was possible.

She then gave Cobalt a serious look. "You are sure about this? I mean… We both know who previously used that book. I wouldn't want the Magic Council on our doorstep after we open it up." She questioned with scepticism.

"Didn't we already have this conversation?" Cobalt said sighing. "Magic is magic. It doesn't matter what it is. What matters is who uses it. Besides Master gave his approval after I suggested the idea to him." He argued. "And he's a Wizard Saint!"

"Alright, alright!" June held up my hands, not wanting to get into an argument with her husband right before he goes on a job. "How did you find it anyway?"

"The royal museum in Crocus has it. The job I'm doing will involve me recovering some stolen goods from the place. Apparently some Dark Guild broke in and stole a whole bunch of things all from different sections." Her husband stated, moving to elaborate more.

"The job itself is S-Class as some of the stuff stolen is pretty deadly, but I should be able to handle it as long as I'm carful. Apparently the man who owns the place says if everything is returned then he will allow the wizard who helped him to take one item free of charge and I plan on taking that Translating Tome! I saw it advertised in the latest Sorcerer Weekly 'Top 10 Places You Wish You Could Visit'." He finished saying.

"I see… Well please be careful! I wouldn't want you hurt and end up delaying your return back here. Cade's birthday is in six days after all." June sternly told him, now realising that this mission could be tricky even for her husband.

"Come on who do you think I am? I ain't some S-Class rookie." Cobalt responded with a laugh after, as June smiled in a rather sultry manner to tease him.

"Well, make sure you bring back enough energy for me…"

Cobalt blushed as June let out a teasing laugh. As she laughed, the speaker went off, causing June to shut up to hear it.

"Attention the final train toady is about to depart please make sure you are at least a few feat away from the edge of the platform. Thank you."

"Ah crap!" Cobalt suddenly started panicking as he saw the train getting ready to move off. "Look I gotta go, I'll see you on Cade's birthday, I'll definitely be back by then! Love you honey!" Cobalt finished speaking and quickly kissed June goodbye before running to the train.

June ran up close to the edge of the train. "By the way, Cade says he loves you and wishes you good luck on the quest!" She yelled at him as he got on the train just in the nick of time. Cobalt poked his head out of a window to wave goodbye to June.

"Tell him I love him as well! And that I look forward to learning magic with him!" Cobalt waved as the train finally left Magnolia. June continued to wave, until her husband was completely out of her sight.

Cobalt Philipe POV:

I made my way through the train carriages to find an empty seat, having to travel to the far ends of the train, as the place was packed with tourists. I finally got a seat after going through three different carriages. I sat back and began to imagine what life with Cade would be like when I returned in six days time. 'Ah, I can already imagine it…'

The birthday party would be held at the manor in which everyone would come and visit him as they usually do. I'd get to see Jack again for the first time in a whole year - hopefully he had a few good stories to tell everyone. I bet that Pierce and Charles would be back as well… and of course, there were more people coming.

I did chose to invite Master Makarov, both to meet Cade for the first time as he would presumably be joining the guild after his birthday, and to hopefully take a stab at translating that tome. I figure I'll need all the help I can get when trying to get it translated, and who better to ask than a Wizard Saint? I also suggested to Master Makarov to bring Gildarts along. It'd be nice if he could meet Cade before he decides to join. The two boys are around the same age after all. Plus there wasn't that many kids at the guild that were Gildarts' age. He could use a friend.

I chuckled more about the day in question as I sat back. Though my thoughts did move to plan ahead for when I would eventually arrive at Crocus. I was wanting this to be a quick job if possible.

It took two days to get to Crocus via the train and two days to get back the same way. That left only two days to locate the whoever stole those items and get them back to the museum. Well, this deadline was if I wished to be back by my son's birthday of course. But I wouldn't give that up for a single second. I thought ahead of what I could do upon arriving.

'Let's see… first I should head to the museum first and gain info on my foes. The more I know about them the better. After that I'll be probably getting a nights rest before heading out to try and track them down.' I planned, before thinking back on the Translating Tome.

Thankfully the Translating Tome wasn't stolen. Was glad I made sure of that little detail when taking the quest. All I needed to do was flip over the sheet of paper. 'It'd be just my luck if the gift I planned on getting for Cade was actually stolen with the other items.'

Not much information was known about the criminals that stole the items from the museum. Witnesses that saw them fleeing couldn't see a guild mark on them as their skin was covered head to toe with dark clothing. They were seen however fleeing towards the mountains east of the kingdom. 'Well, if they aren't willing to reveal themselves to us, I'll be the one to take them in.'

I then took the job request out from my cloaks pocket and examined it again. 'Let me look at these items again.'

S-Class

Reward 4,750,000 jewel

A Dark Guild of which we were unable to identify has stolen 37 different items throughout the exhibits in our museum. Many of these items are dangerous, and are not to be taken lightly as they could prove to strengthen the criminals. Please report to the Crocus Royal Museum and see Mr. Yakone for details. For information of what was stolen please refer to the back of this paper for said information.

I then flipped the paper over to take another look at what was stolen. Apparently the man who wrote the request labelled the items in order of how dangerous they could be in the wrong hands. Did I know any of these items?

Items stolen:

Three Dragon Slaying lacrima; a single Celestial Zodiac Key; The Sword of Sealing; The Torch of Xerno; The Gauntlets of Greatness (each gauntlet counts as one item); 12 Ancient Healing Lacrima; The Aisl Anom; Ten Scrolls of Summoning; Three Dragon Scales; Three ancient books

I whistled lightly when looking at them again, I could clearly see why this mission was deemed S-Class, as any of the top three items could easily make even some the weakest wizards an issue to deal with. 'Damn… I think I recognise most of these.'

I had heard rumours about dragon slaying magic, as sightings of it were quite rare. Being incredibly powerful, destructive and giving the user the ability to eat the element that corresponds with their type of magic! It was insane! As far as I was aware, no guild whether they be light or dark has a wizard who can use dragon slaying magic. Maybe that was for the best.

Then there was the Zodiac Key. Celestial Wizards are quite rare, but not nearly as rare as dragon slayers. I had gotten into a fight with a Zodiac Wizard a few years back in which I fought against a few of the Zodiac's. The fight was pretty tough for me, as I had never fought any spirits before. It didn't help that the wizard could summon two spirits at a time, which was a hard task to deal with. I was able to pull out a win in the end, but it wasn't easy. In conclusion, I learned not to underestimate Zodiac Keys. The one the museum had was apparently one of the stronger spirits out of the 12 Zodiacs.

I had heard that the Sword of Sealing was able to seal away an individual's magic power at the cost of actually powering the sword with your own magic power. A deadly weapon in the right hands especially those who would fight in mass groups. Apparently it required a lot of magic power to charge it up, so it did have the risk of draining all your magic if you aren't careful with it.

The Torch of Xerno was apparently an ancient special cannon which had the ability to shoot out scalding hot flames forever as long as you linked it up with your own magic power. According to the history books out all of the hundreds of people who have faced the flames head on only three have survived… and worst of all they were fire mages. Thankfully it came at the downside of using your own magic power to use it and as the flames are that deadly, the cost of ethernao to run the thing is incredibly high.

The Gauntlets of Greatness are apparently able to grant the user immense physical strength, it doesn't help that the Gauntlets are able to link up with the users mind meaning you aren't just able to get up close and pull them off. No… instead I'd have to defeat the person that is wearing them.

The 12 Ancient Healing lacrima are able to increase the time it takes for any physical injuries to heal by a fast time, and that's per individual lacrima. The last thing you needed was to fight your way through a horde of enemies and find out later that they'd be fully healed up and ready for round two.

The Aisl Anom is a special bag designed like a ladies handbag, in which it is estimated to have been enchanted by an evil mage hundreds of years ago, so that the bag would be able to hold any item of the carrier's choice. This obviously is a major issue you would face as the wizard who has this can hold any item of their choice that ranges from lacrima bomb to distress beacon.

The ten summoning scrolls are able to summon any random creature from the Netherworld. Now, I don't know about you but I'd personally like to avoid getting into a fight with any Netherworld monsters. There has been no confirmed sightings about seeing a monster from the Netherworld, but the name of the place the creatures come from practically speaks for itself about how bad they must be. One positive is that the text you must to read to summon the creatures can be quite long, coming in at around a whole two minutes to properly read.

The Dragon Scales could be used to create dragon armour which would be troubling, as from what I remember reading as a kid; Dragons were able to be highly resistant to magic attacks. It would be concerning if a Dark Guild were able to make armour for many of their elite wizards. I figured all this as Cade simply loved Dragons.

Finally there was the three ancient books… Hmm, it was hard to see why anybody would want to steal these things. I was going to ask some questions about why anyone would want to steal some old dirty books. The only strange thing was that the museum staff were unable to open the books for some weird reason.

Attention. We have now arrived at Hargeon Town. Please mind the gap while existing. The next stop is Oak Town.

'Huh guess I was zoning out for longer than I thought.' I realised, as the train began to slowly move away again. It would only be a few more stops until I reached Crocus, then I would head straight for the Museum, rent a hotel room for the night and head off.

It wouldn't be long now I thought, I was imaging the moment when I would arrive back to the manor and be tackled by Cade's hug and get spend time with him. I relaxed back and viewed the fields outside as the train made its way to Crocus. Hopefully this wouldn't be a long journey.

Hello! I hope you all enjoyed reading the first chapter of this story, as well as my first fanfic. Please do leave reviews, I will do my best to reply to them. This is my first story after all, so any feedback (as long as it's not too hateful, more so constructive) would be nice.

Just saying this now, this will be a SLOW Fanfic, it's gonna take ages till we get to Canon FT. Just warning you now in case you dislike slow stories. I will however edit this chapter with an announcement of when Canon does in fact begin.

I mainly chose this time period as I feel there is a lot of unknown history in the Fairy Tail world about some of the older characters which I think would be quite fun to explore and write about. You shall see which characters I am talking about as we go further into this story. I'd also like to try and maybe expand the world building if possible.

Anyway like I said this will be a long Fanfic so for those who want to stick around… prepare yourself. It's gonna be a crazy ride for young Cadewell Philipe.

Anyway, that's this first chapter done. I do hope you consider to take an interest in this story. Feel free to leave a review if you enjoyed it as well as favouriting or following the story if you like it or want to show your support!

With that all being said, I hope to see you in the next chapter!
