~{Author's Notes}~
Heyo my readers! Once again, through a burst of inspiration and passion, I have written yet another one-shot concept chapter! Here is my mha x danmachi fanfic, where Izuku gets isekai'd to fight in the wonderful world of Orario! I hope you all enjoy this first initial chapter and its set up. If you wish to see more and not see this be left as a one-shot, comment and let it be known!
Oh, and let it be known, Bell doesn't exist in this universe. It's an MC swap where Izuku basically takes his place.
Enjoy reading!
Izuku knew that he wasn't going to make it.
He was too numb and exhausted to the point where he couldn't move, having taken far too much damage to his body. His breathing labored on the intense scent of blood from his own body; it was a surprise he hadn't completely lost any important limbs or organs during his battle. But there were still too many wounds and internal damage for him to survive, or at least if he didn't receive immediate medical attention.
But he knew he wasn't gonna get it on time.
"Nine."
Izuku heard the voice of Daigoro Banjo, the fifth user of One For All, speak up in his head.
"You... You did good, kid. You did real good." The normally loud and upbeat man sounded too out of character as he tried to reassure him, despite knowing the state of his body.
"You didn't deserve this." The fourth holder's voice, Hikage Shinomori, spoke somberly. "We're sorry it has to end this way."
"Don't say that!" The seventh holder, Nana Shimura, shouted. Izuku could tell she was crying her heart out. "If he can just hold out it for a bit, he can get medical attention! He-!"
"Seven." Third's sharp voice cut her off. "Don't. Just... don't."
Izuku heard Nana go quiet moments before breaking into sobs. It was clear just how absolutely destroyed she must be feeling right now. To have her biological grandson and the boy she grew to love similarly both be at death's door.
"At the very least, you're leaving Japan in good hands." The sixth holder, En, reassured. He sounded melancholy as well but otherwise resigned to their fate. "You're classmates are already amazing heroes, so... there's that."
Izuku cracked the smallest of smiles, knowing he was right.
All Might's vestige empathetically gave him a comforting warmth in the realm of One For All, which helped Izuku relax despite slowly bleeding out.
"Kid." Second spoke up, trying to sound as complimenting towards him as he could. "We might've had our issues with you before, but... you were always a good hero."
That was all he said. Well, it was all he really had to say.
"Nine- no... Izuku." Yoichi Shigaraki spoke up, and Izuku could perfectly picture the sad smile the man had on. "Thank you for everything. Like Shinomori said, you didn't deserve this burden. To take down my brother, to take down Tenko, to stop this war. And yet, you held the world on your shoulders and saved it. We're all so proud of you."
The sixteen-year-old boy stared upward at the sky as a single tear trailed down his eye, blood covering half his face. He watched as all the dark clouds shading the world in gray started clearing away, revealing the sun that had been hidden for so long. It was as if giving a symbol of a brighter future for the world.
And yet, here he was, sitting in a completely decimated battlefield that had once been a forest, his arms broken yet again and his back against a boulder, his hero costume torn and soaked in blood. Deciding to take the battle here might be backfiring for Izuku now since he knows it'll take too long until even the fastest heroes show up to help him, but he doesn't regret it. His battle with the All For One-controlled Shigaraki had initially been intense enough, but then Shigaraki had broken out of the wannabe demon lord's control from sheer willpower alone.
Because of his loss of control and his body's rewinding state, All For One had gotten desperate and ended up flying to Shigaraki himself, trying to get him to absorb his quirk factor so he could take control of him entirely.
And yet, it had backfired. Shigaraki had been the one to overpower the already weakened man and turn him to dust, leaving only the boy who wished to destroy all he hated.
That was when all hell broke loose. Shigaraki had gone completely berserk because of All For One trying to mess with his mind again, going all out in his destruction to try and kill Izuku following the man's death. It reached the point where U.A risked taking extreme damage just by being in the vicinity, even when Shigaraki wasn't aiming for it. So Izuku had made the call to drag and lead the villain as far as possible from the flying fortress, ending up where he was now.
But it was fine. Izuku knew that facing Shigaraki alone risked leading to a situation like this where no one could help him. He was fine with the results.
"Thank you all." He choked out, painful throbs coming from his chest just from speaking.
Then came a melancholy silence between everyone, not knowing what else could or should be said. The holders had all known what the legacy of One For All had been meant to do, and it had finally been accomplished. All For One was finally gone, and as for Shigaraki...
"Haha... ha..."
Izuku tiredly turned his head to the person with him in the large crater, a crater the two had created during their final clash.
Shigaraki lay flat on his stomach, his right arm entirely gone while the rest of his body seemed to be corroding like rust, no doubt the consequences of using so many quirks at their extremes. It was actually what had allowed Izuku to technically win this battle, letting Shigaraki destroy himself through his own power. And even though he was still alive now, it wouldn't be long until he was dead, until they both were.
In a way, Izuku felt relieved that he hadn't needed to kill Shigaraki, at least not directly himself. He didn't think he'd have been able to do it; call him optimistic, a coward, or even a fool like Second and Third had called him before, but it was just the type of hero he had always wanted to be. One that hardly ever thought about killing anyone because that doesn't inspire hope; it sparks fear.
"Shigaraki..." Izuku didn't feel afraid or even on guard about the white-haired boy still alive near him, knowing that even if he were to kill him here, it wouldn't change that he'd follow soon after.
Izuku truly wished he had gotten through to him, to reach out to the child within the villain crying inside.
"So this is it..." Shigaraki muttered, head on the ground with his red eyes staring at Izuku. He no longer resembled the enraged and unstable man he had just been fighting. Instead, now there was only a resigned calmness to his eyes in the addition of a small smile. "I wasn't at a high enough level to beat the final boss after all."
Izuku was surprised to see Shigaraki so relaxed now, so... at peace. It was almost as if he had become an entirely different person.
"I'm surprised you aren't trying to kill me here," The hero admitted.
"No point." The villain returned, using his one arm and barely functioning legs to slowly crawl next to Izuku, his remaining clothes and skin flaking off. "We've both lost... ngh, too much hp for it to matter."
Izuku couldn't help but feel amused by how Shigaraki still used his video game metaphors, cracking another small smile.
"Not hoping to get help?"
"You made sure we won't get it." Shigaraki coughed, dropping beside him and staring blankly at the sky.
The sun now fully shone down on the Earth, bringing a comforting warmth that helped the two ignore the coldness their dying bodies were experiencing.
"It's... funny," Shigaraki said, his body slowly corroding. "I don't feel... angry anymore. I wonder if it's because I let everything out, or I know it doesn't even matter anymore?"
"Maybe it's because you finally realized that hating everything won't make you happy and that villainy wasn't the way to go?" Izuku suggested.
"Hah, you're funny."
Well, it had been worth a shot, but no matter what, Shigaraki just wasn't going to change, not after one battle, at least. Not that it mattered anymore, but it would've at least left Izuku completely content with dying.
So the boy went silent as he stared back up at the sky, closing his tired eyes as he got ready to embrace the sweet release of death.
Only...
"Hey, you like quirks... right, Midoriya?"
The boy in question opened an eye, peeking at Shigaraki, who was staring at him with a rather... large smile.
"Yes?" He replied skeptically.
"Why you'd say it like that?" Shigaraki chuckled. "You do, or you don't?"
"He's not planning to give you a quirk, is he!?" Daigoro asked, baffled.
"Get the hell away from him! Don't give him the chance!" Second growled.
"But Nine can't even move right now." En pointed out.
"You can't possibly be thinking of giving me a quirk right now," Izuku said with a flat look.
"No, not give you one. Use one," Shigaraki replied, his smile unmoving. "We're both losing our last lives anyways, right? What's the harm?"
It was a horrible idea to even consider humoring Shigaraki, even if they would bite the dust not too long, almost literally in the villain's case. Logically, Izuku should reject his offer without hesitation and try to push his body to either get away from the older male or finish him off before he could try anything.
But there was one thing that had never changed about Izuku, even throughout the entire war. It wasn't his kindness, not his determination, nor even his baby face, although they all haven't changed either, that last one, much to his dismay.
No, the key part of him that had never changed was that he was still an absolute gremlin for quirks.
"How does it work?" He intriguingly asked the very dangerous villain in front of him.
All Might's ghostly vestige facepalmed.
"Wha-!? Nine!?" Third shouted.
"I mean... We're both dying anyway, aren't we? What's the harm of testing a quirk out?" Izuku defended.
"You should not be this calm and accepting about dying together that you'd let our worst enemy test a quirk on you!" Nana practically screeched, unclear whether she was teary or infuriated at him now. "First, say something!"
"..."
"First?"
"I mean, I'm kinda curious too..."
"Oh my fucking god."
Shigaraki giggled at Izuku's answer, a sound that terrified him to no end due to how unnaturally high and happy it sounded.
"That's the thing, I don't know."
"Eh?"
Izuku blinked in confusion as Shigaraki continued.
"Of all the quirks sensei had, there was always one he could never figure out, even with all his analysis quirks. All he ever knew about it was that he couldn't use it on himself, and if he wanted to use it on someone else, they gotta have a giant power source. Not like a giant battery, but something... a lot more extreme."
"Wait, does he mean-?"
"One For All..." Izuku muttered in realization, baggy eyes wide open.
Shigaraki nodded, his left ear falling off; Izuku winced at the sight.
"You know... If you kick him now, you might be able to knock his head off?"
Ignoring Fifth's gruesome suggestion, Izuku narrowed his eyes.
"So... how do you activate the quirk?"
"You can't be serious, Nine." Second sighed.
Shigaraki lifted his only hand, a finger falling off it, yet he was unfazed as he faced Izuku.
"It should be easy as one..."
His smile turned into a familiar manic grin.
"Two..."
Danger Sense kicked in, yet Izuku could only widen his eyes as Shigaraki's hand grabbed his face.
"Three."
"NINE/IZUKU-!"
The voices of the vestiges were cut off as a burst of radioactive green energy emitted from Izuku's body, bringing a scream of pure agony from the boy as his eyes filled in the same glowing color. Green electricity from One For All started sparking all over his convulsing form, only to fade away as all the green of Izuku's aura started turning to a pure white, spreading all the way into his eyes as well.
All the energy then collected itself briefly before a giant pillar of white light erupted upward into the sky with Izuku in the center, seen by heroes from miles away.
Then the light vanished as fast as it had come.
What was left was Shigaraki alone in the crater, laying on his stomach once more with his partially outstretched hand completely gone now, the rust-like corrosion spreading down his arm and up his halfway-gone legs.
And yet, even as he ironically decayed away faster than before, Shigaraki simply kept his crazed, satisfied grin.
"Damn, I could've just done that the whole time?"
And just like that, he crumbled away.
~{?}~
The last thing Izuku remembered was his body feeling like it had been trying to tear itself apart, so when he had blacked out during the excruciating pain, he hadn't expected to wake up again.
And yet, muffled sounds came to him in addition to drowsiness as his eyelids slowly opened, his black vision turning to a blurry brown with white bright white mixed into it, causing him to squint in irritation.
And what a headache he's got... what he had been doing again?
As Izuku adjusted to waking up, the damp voices he heard slowly cleared up to audible speech.
"I SWEAR to god if Nine died and we're all stuck here permanently, I'm actually gonna kill myself!" Third's voice blared.
"Can you even die again in here?" Hikage questioned.
"I'll find a way, dammit! I am NOT spending all of eternity stuck here with you idiots!"
"Hey! Who are you calling idiots!?" Daigoro snapped.
"Huh? Oh shit. Quiet you idiot; Nine's awake."
"Wha-!? You too, En!?"
"Would you all shut up!?" Nana exploded.
"Ugh, so noisy..." Izuku groaned at the barrage of noises in his mind, going to rub his forehead due to the headache he was getting.
Only...
"Gah!" A small irritated pain came to Izuku as he tried to move his arm.
The sharp sensation shook him awake, his vision fully adjusting to see that he was staring at some wooden ceiling.
"Huh, where am I? What was I...?"
Everything suddenly hit Izuku like one of All Might's punches. Meeting Aoyama to bait All For One, getting pulled by Toga into a portal, rushing back to see Bakugo on the ground, fighting Shigaraki until they were both down, the villain's hand, the flash of light, the burning pain.
"THE WAR!"
Izuku immediately tried to sit up, only for a burst of pain to spike throughout the entirety of his body.
"NGH!"
He tensed up as he fell back into the white bed he was in, panicked breaths and rampaging thoughts swirling.
"Is everyone okay!? Is Shigaraki gone!? Is Kacchan alive!? What happened after I passed out!?"
"Izuku, calm down!" Yoichi's voice warned him. "You're body isn't in good shape!"
His... body?
Taking a deep breath that irritated his lungs, Izuku glanced down at himself and saw that he had moved bedsheets off him from trying to sit up, revealing his shirtless body that was completely bandaged up all the way to his neck. As for his lower body, he wore brown shorts, with his legs bandaged up just as much as his upper portion.
"I... survived? I made it to a hospital after all!?" He gasped, staring at his form in disbelief.
"This ain't no hospital, Nine. I suggest you look around."
Wondering what Third meant, Izuku's eyes finally looked at the area he was in.
Smooth wooden walls, a wooden desk in front of a window, a soft bed with a wooden frame, unlit lanterns, a green rug, and other items like pots and buckets were all around the bright room.
"This... isn't a hospital," Izuku muttered, confusion taking to his features.
"Yes, that's what I said."
"You're either in a cottage or a cabin, no doubt about it," Hikage said confidently.
"How do you know that?" Daigoro asked.
"Did... Did you forget what I did for eighteen years with One For All?"
There was a brief pause.
"Oh right, hermit. For some reason, I always forget about that."
"I feel like I should be offended."
"Hey, shouldn't we be more focused on WHERE Nine is and WHY!?" Nana cut in.
"Yeah, what happened after I went unconscious?" Izuku asked them, trying to lift his head to peek out the distant window, only to wince in pain and remain lying down.
"Got no idea, Nine. After Shigaraki grabbed your face and used that quirk on you, which by the way, was fucking stupid for you to agree on-"
"I-I technically didn't agree to it! He just used it!"
"Uh, huh." Izuku hated how he could hear Second not believe for a moment that he'd pass the chance to test out a mysterious quirk even with his nemesis right in front of him and having lost fifty percent of his blood.
Which was... fair.
"Anyway, you passed out after that whole light show, so we couldn't see anything outside. We had honestly thought you died out there."
Third jumped in. "But then you didn't appear in the mindscape of One For All, nor did it crumble down and fade out of existence like I thought it would. You know how much I was freaking out at the thought that this hell was permanent!?"
"Come on, Third. You know you love us." Daigoro chuckled.
"I'd sell you all out for any real piece of food without hesitation."
"To be fair, I'd probably do the same. I'd love to eat some chicken nuggets again." En sighed.
"Ouch."
"So no one knows where we are?" Izuku asked, trying not to move too much as his eyes scanned the room.
"Nope."
"Sorry."
"Nuh-uh."
"Don't know."
"Then... what do I do now? I-I don't see my phone or anything to get anyone's attention, but I have to know what happened to everyone!" Izuku pleaded, clenching his hands despite the throbbing in them from doing so.
"Don't know what to tell you, Nine. We're just as confused and lacking information as you." Hikage said.
All Might's not-ghost vestige gave Izuku a comforting warmth, reassuring him they'd work this out.
"First, you've been oddly quiet," En said out of nowhere.
"Hm? Oh, I've just been... thinking."
"About what?" Nana asked.
"About how that quirk affected us."
Izuku blinked. "What? What do you mean? What did it do?"
There was silence.
"What is it?"
When it was evident that no one would speak up, Second sighed.
"Look, Nine. Sorry to break it to you, but-"
*Click!*
Second stopped talking, and Izuku whipped his head to the now-opening door, ignoring the strain in his neck from doing so.
Who entered the room was a visibly old man, not in the sense that he was nearing the end of his life, but that he's already lived for quite some time and kept on going. The man was somewhat tall and decently built, with slightly tanned skin, a bushy gray mustache, and an equally bushy beard seeming to connect to the gray hair on his head. His attire consisted of a white collar shirt with rolled-up sleeves exposing hair on his forearms and dark-blue farming overalls with brown farming boots to finish it off.
"Oho! I knew I heard you wake up!" The old man gave Izuku a large grin, carrying a metal tray with a cup of water, grapes, and crackers.
"A farmer?" Hikage questioned.
"Did we end up in some kind of village in that forest Nine landed in?" Daigoro asked.
"But that wouldn't make sense; the heroes would've definitely found Nine and taken him somewhere else to heal him." Nana rejected.
"For now, just focus on getting some information," En suggested, getting a whispy approval from All Might.
"H-Hello there!" Izuku said, raising his body to sit up and meet the man, only to wince in pain and fall back.
"You shouldn't be moving, lad." The old man said, walking to Izuku's bedside and setting the tray on the nightstand beside him. "But it's good to see you awake! I was worried you wouldn't make it."
"Did... Did you heal me?" Izuku asked curiously, watching as he grabbed a chair and sat beside him.
The old man laughed. "Me? I can barely bandage a cut right! I was the one that found you, but fixing you up was a joint effort from the village and all our healing potions."
"Healing... potions?" Izuku tilted his head curiously.
There was a gasp in the mindscape.
"Ah, don't worry, you won't have to pay us back for them. We've never had to use them anyway!" The stranger smiled.
"Did I hear that right? Healing potions?" Hikage questioned.
"Does this village have someone with a quirk to make them?"
"That sounds like an awesome quirk."
"U-Um, thank you! For healing me!" Izuku said, unable to bow, so he nodded in respect instead.
"You're not healed yet, boy. We were lucky the potions we had on us had been enough to save you before we ran out of them. Sorry, you'll be in this bed for at least another week."
"A week doesn't seem that bad, but it's kinda surprising considering how much of a mummy you look like right now." En pointed out.
"But you sure did surprise me, lad. Just popping out of thin air like you did!" The man chuckled.
"Out of thin air?" Izuku gasped; it was time to get some answers.
"C-Could you tell me about that please!?" He asked a little too desperately.
"You don't remember? Oh, I suppose you were already passed out." The man said, crossing his arms. "Well, I was walking down the path to work on the fields when suddenly, 'whoosh!' a big flash of white light came out of nowhere, scaring all the animals! It scared the living daylights out of me, but then I couldn't believe my eyes to see the light disappear and see you there, just like that!"
"Appeared out of nowhere? Does that mean we teleported?" Nana theorized.
"I didn't think I'd see the day that teleportation magic came to be!" The man grinned excitedly.
Izuku blinked, face blank.
"Magic?"
Before anyone could question it, there was a loud, uncharacteristic squeal from the first holder, which had Izuku wince and wish to clutch his head.
"You alright lad?" The old man asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Y-Yeah! I'm just... confused." Izuku said.
"What the fuck Yoichi!?" Daigoro yelled.
"I don't think I've ever heard him ever make that sound." En said.
"And what's with Second and Third?" Hikage pointed out, the two in question groaning in the mindscape with hands on their faces.
"Okay, I'm getting really confused." Nana said, saying what most of them felt.
"Excuse me... can you tell me what you mean by m-magic?" Izuku asked, deciding to figure out what the hell was going on.
The man paused, looking a bit perplexed. But then another smile took to his face, a more intrigued one forming from realization.
"Oho? So that's how it is?"
The old man suddenly looked very interested in Izuku, leaning forward in his seat with his hands together and elbows on his knees.
"Lad, can you tell me where you're from?"
Izuku suddenly started to sweat, wondering if he was in trouble or what he had just gotten himself into.
"C-Can you first answer my previous question?"
The man hummed. "How about this then, a question for a question?" He haggled.
Izuku raised an eyebrow. "Just one?"
"As many as we're willing to go between us."
"O-Okay."
"Hm, so first, what's your name, lad?" The old man asked.
"Um, Midoriya. Izuku Midoriya."
"Izuku then."
"Immediately to first names?" Hikage asked suspiciously.
"Wh-What about yours?" Izuku asked back, deciding to overlook it.
The man hummed and scratched his beard.
"You can call me Gramps."
Izuku frowned.
"Not your real name?"
'Gramps' scratched the back of his head with a boisterous laugh. "Everyone in the village calls me that! Never shared my real name for a good reason! Don't worry; I won't hold back on anything else."
"That's just suspicious in itself!" Daigoro yelled.
Izuku didn't stop frowning. Maybe he shouldn't be calling out one of the people who had helped save him, but he couldn't help it in this situation where he didn't even know where he was.
"You can ask another question, if you wish." Gramp said with a hand at him.
Izuku's expression mellowed down.
"Ask him where you are!" Yoichi urged excitedly.
"Okay... Where am I, exactly?"
"You're at a small village without a name. Nothing special here, just me and other old folks and their youngsters making due here."
Izuku frowned again.
"Oi, I ain't holding out, lad," Gramps said with his hands up in surrender. "There really ain't nothing here or the surrounding area besides nature and monsters!"
"Wait, did he say monsters?" Nana pointed out.
Another giddy squeal echoed.
"For god's sake Yoichi, can you tell us what's up with you!?" Daigoro shouted.
"Yeah, you've never been this excited before. What is-?"
"I think we've been isekai'd!"
There was a pause in which even Izuku's expression blanched.
"I'm sorry, we've been what?" En was the one to ask, with All Might's vestige wisping in confusion.
"He means all those stupid manga and light novels that involve people getting sent to another world." Second groaned.
"The ones he would NEVER shut up about after we saved him from captivity and he discovered them." Third grumbled.
"They are not stupid! They are works of art, and I can't believe that out of all the things that quirk could've done, it isekai'd us! Izuku, you are by far the coolest One For All holder ever!" Everyone could hear the absolute joy radiating from Yoichi as he gushed.
"I'd feel offended if I didn't already think the same about him," Daigoro declared.
Izuku remained frozen, unable to comprehend what he was just told.
Another world? Him? In ANOTHER WORLD!? That can't be possible, can it!?
No, it's too soon to even say he's in another world! What if the monsters mentioned are just Nomus!? What if the village here was just so isolated from civilizations that they affiliated quirks with magic!?
"You still there, Izuku?" Gramps asked, noticing his catatonic form.
"I-uh, yes!" He snapped out of his panic. "U-Um, do you know a place called Japan!?"
The man blinked before chuckling.
"Lad, it's my turn to ask a question, remember?"
"O-Oh... sorry." Izuku sheepishly mumbled, having forgotten.
"No biggie. But as for my question..." The man kept obvious interest as he asked, "What is Japan?"
Izuku paled.
"Either we somehow teleported so far from modern civilization that this guy knows nothing about the world, or... what Yoichi is saying is right." Hikage deadpanned.
"I sure fucking hope not." Second groaned.
"I... um..." Izuku nearly blue-screened as he stared at Gramps. "Y-You've never heard of it? An island country in East Asia? In the eastern hemisphere? U.A? All Might? Quirks?"
Gramps scratched his beard in interest.
"That's technically you asking me questions back, but I suppose it's close enough of an answer to my own. Are you talking about the Far East, the island country?"
Izuku's eyes lit up.
"Maybe! Can you tell me about it, so I know for sure!?"
Gramps nodded. "The Far East is a country in the east side of the world, surrounded by water, similar to what you've mentioned before. But I've never heard anything about 'U.A' or 'All Might.' The Far East is run by a nation-type familia ruled by the royal court, led by Amaterasu as the main god."
"Hold up, did he just say god?" En voiced.
"Amaterasu? As in, the celestial sun goddess?" Hikage asked, just as stunned.
"We even have gods here!?" Yoichi gasped, only for his excitement to change to speculation. "Wait, that can be good or VERY bad."
There was so much for Izuku to unpack there.
"I... What part of the world are we on?" He numbly asked.
"Is that your next question for me?" Gramps asked.
Izuku slowly nodded.
Gramps looked amused as he answered. "Well, if I were to state our location, then I'd say we're just West of the Far East, near the Labyrinth City of Orario, considered the very center of the world! Although, our village is still located several weeks away on foot."
Center of the world? From what Izuku knows of the world map, the considered 'center of the world' should be around Europe or Africa, and he's never heard of a grand place such as Orario, which means...
"Holy shit, we're actually in another world." Daigoro inhaled.
"I know, right!? Isn't that cool!?" Yoichi cackled.
"I think I preferred you when you were mostly quiet and focused on killing your brother..." Hikage sighed.
"Hush, you."
"No. No! NO! I am NOT believing we just became part of some stupid isekai plotline until I see some cold hard evidence of magic, monsters, or some other bullshit!" Third shouted.
Gramps noticed Izuku's shock and smiled, reaching over and ruffling the boy's hair with a hand.
"You're quite a ways from home, aren't you?"
Izuku could only nod once again.
"Would you like some water and something sweet? You look like you need it."
Another nod.
"Alright, let me help you sit up first, Izuku."
Gramps helped Izuku adjust his position on the bed so that he was seated with pillows behind his back. He then lifted the glass of water to the boy's lips and let him take a sip before feeding him some of the grapes from the tray he had brought.
"Better?" He asked after a moment.
Finishing chewing, Izuku nodded yet again, now somewhat calm. He then swallowed and looked down in embarrassment.
"Th-Thank you. And... sorry about that."
"Nothing to apologize for." Gramps waved off. "I'm sure this is a lot for you right now."
"Hey, Nine... you okay?" Nana's motherly voice called to him.
In truth, Izuku was only just barely holding it together.
His thoughts were rampaging in his head, a heavy weight crushing his heart at the thought that he was no longer in the same world as everyone he's ever loved.
His friends, Aizawa, his mom, All Might, Eri...
They were all gone.
"Easy there, Nine," Nana spoke up again softly. "Take a few deep breaths for me, please?"
Izuku listened, closing his eyes and taking a few deep breaths while All Might's vestige offered him some empathetic warmth, helping immensely. It was almost as if his mentor was still right there with him, holding him and telling him everything would be okay.
"We'll figure this out." He thought.
"Damn straight we will!" Daigoro cheered.
"You alright now, Izuku?" Gramps, who had waited patiently during his controlled breathing, asked.
Izuku blinked, almost having forgotten the old man was there.
"Y-Yes! It was just... a lot."
He hummed in understanding.
"You alright for me to ask my next question, then?"
"Is it actually his turn?" En asked.
"Don't know, lost track when Nine panicked," Hikage admitted.
Izuku swallowed his nerves before nodding to the man.
"When you showed up, you wore a rather unique costume with craftsmanship I've never seen before. Can you tell me about that?"
A lightning strike of realization hit him.
"MY GEAR!"
Izuku erupted into words.
"Do you still have it!? You didn't get rid of it, did you!? It's actually really important to me! Oh god, was it bloody!? The yellow cape is still there, right!? Please tell me it didn't get too damaged-!"
"Whoa, whoa, slow down boy!" Gramps urged, surprised by the sudden flurry of questions.
Izuku took a deep breath. "I-I'm sorry, but that costume is important to me! Especially the yellow cape!"
Gramps nodded in understanding. "We had to take it off to treat and clean you, but otherwise, we washed it and left it all in a basket for you."
"Oh." He released a breath of relief. "That's good to know."
"I must say, those iron soles of yours were quite interesting, not to mention those unique gloves and arm braces." Gramps smiled. "Can't say I've ever seen armor like that before! So why do you wear it?"
Izuku stiffened, realizing he had to find a way to explain this.
"You don't have to answer him." Nana made it clear.
"But then I won't be able to ask him more about where we are."
"Would it even hurt to tell this guy about heroism since there aren't any quirks or heroes?" En asked.
"It's always the oldest people that end up being the most OP and biggest role models in shonen anime! It should be fine to tell him everything!" Yoichi declared.
"We are not telling this guy all our secrets based on your stupid anime plotlines!" Second snapped.
"They are NOT stupid!" Came the offended response.
As the vestiges bickered, Izuku wondered what to tell Gramps and thought back on his entire life.
Learning he was quirkless at four, losing all of his friends for years, meeting All Might, getting into U.A, meeting his current friends, Aizawa, USJ, Hosu, the training camp, Kamino, and everything else he's ever gone through, which in the end, had all resulted to the war against All For One.
And why Izuku went through all of that? Why he wears his costume? He's always known why.
"It's because... I'm a hero."
Gramps's eyes widened.
"A hero... you say?"
Izuku flinched as he realized he had said that out loud.
"A-Ah! Sorry, just ignore what I said! I know it sounds silly-!"
"There's nothing silly about being a hero, Izuku."
He stilled, hearing something change in the man's tone.
"Is it just me, or did the air around this guy shift?" En asked.
Indeed, while Gramps had looked intrigued and thrilled already, now he looked completely absorbed in his presence, there was a smaller smile on him, yet that didn't make him look any less captivated.
"Did you save people?"
Suddenly, it felt like words were being pulled from Izuku's mouth.
"At every chance I got."
"Why?"
"Because I can't stand looking at those in danger or in despair, I can't ignore people that just need someone to reach out to them at their darkest moments. I just want to help people, and the best way for me to do it is to be there for them."
Memories of Todoroki, Kota, Eri, and every other person he's saved from the darkness flashed by.
"I want to be able to save everyone with a smile, to be their hope when they think they've lost it all."
"Have you always managed to save everyone?"
Izuku's memories went back to Bakugo being taken by the league, to Sir Nighteye's death, to Shigaraki waking up during the war and massacring too many heroes.
"No..."
However, despite admitting this, Izuku's expression hardened in determination.
"But I'll always keep trying too."
Gramps looked like he had just found a gold mine.
He kept quiet for a few seconds before standing up from his chair and approaching a desk by the window. He then opened a drawer and pulled out an old, thick book with a worn-out brown cover that reminded Izuku of one of Momo's encyclopedias.
The old man grinned as he turned back to the boy, lifting up the book in a presenting manner.
"Would you like to hear about the heroes of this world, Izuku?"
Izuku's eyes widened.
"Heroes?" He whispered.
"Shouldn't you be finding more information about-?"
"Shhhhh. Let him have this." Nana requested, and Izuku could tell the motherly smile she must have on her. "We'll figure it out later, for now, let him relax."
Izuku knew that En had been going to suggest finding more information on this world instead of listening to stories, and while he knew that it should be the right thing to do...
"I'd love to!"
He just couldn't ignore learning about heroes no matter where he was.
"Some things just never change." Yoichi chuckled.
Izuku hadn't expected this.
Granted, he hadn't expected a lot of things recently; Surviving his final battle against Shigaraki, the villain using a quirk to send him to another world, ending up in some random village of all places...
But surprisingly, what baffled him the most was how this old man, Gramps, had been so interested in his random mumble about being a hero. Not only that, but he seemed to wholeheartedly believe Izuku about it despite no evidence. Well, maybe his hero costume covered in blood and the random teleportation could be pieces of proof, but otherwise, nothing else.
Maybe it was Gramps's warm, friendly aura or the fact that he believed his words, but when he had offered Izuku to share what seemed to be hand-written stories of heroes... he just couldn't resist.
At least Yoichi seemed as excited as he to listen.
And so, Izuku was told of one of this world's oldest stories, the tale of the Argonaut, the 'hero of the beginning.'
The Argonaut was an old fairy tale about a boy who wanted to be a hero but was seen as a fool by everyone else.
Familiarity seeped into Izuku like a sponge.
However, while Izuku had been considered a fool for lacking power, the Argonaut was a fool for much more. He was a carefree boy who pretended to be a hero, fighting imaginary monsters and showing off to women only to fail to impress them because he lacked skills.
This granted him the title of a clown by the townspeople.
And yet, this boy had only been putting on an act. All to motivate others to become heroes of their own and inspire hope. He was someone concerned about the future of the world and believed that through union, people were capable of achieving anything.
After all, if a 'clown' like him could become a hero, then anyone can, right?
And he truly showed it... because despite being made fun of by so many people, despite being lied to by many more, despite trying to save a princess only to need saving himself, he held his resolve and acted as a hero should. For when a minotaur, a fearsome monster, had threatened the safety of the people, the Argonaut had stood up to slay the beast while uniting all he's met.
By the tale's end, Izuku had a large smile. The Argonaut sounded just like the hero he had always wanted to be. Not to be seen as any fool, mind you, but as a hero choosing to inspire hope among everyone, to always encourage them to act and become heroes just like him, at least in the context of his own world.
"It's almost creepy how alike the 'first hero' and Nine sound at first glance," Daigoro said.
"Is it because Nine was considered a fool just like this Argonaut guy?" En asked.
"Huh? When?"
"You know, his old school when he didn't have a quirk-?"
"Nuh-uh-uh-uh-uh! We don't talk about that hellhole here." Nana cut them off with a harsh tone.
"Did you enjoy the tale, Izuku?" Gramps asked, closing the small book.
He nodded, full of joy since the first time waking up. "I did! It was interesting to hear of an old hero whose whole goal was to inspire others even at the exspence of his image!"
"Glad you think so." The old man chuckled. "The tale of the Argonaut is said to be the tale of all tales involving heroes. It's always been my favorite just by lesson he wished to pass on. He truly was the definition of a hero."
"What's that definition to you, Gramps?"
It was a question Izuku didn't tend to ask people, as he never wanted different views on heroism to clash and cause conflict.
But Gramps? Despite only knowing the man for about an hour, there was a sense of... camaraderie that Izuku could feel, an understanding between them of the wonders that were heroes. The man even had a drawer of old-written legends of past heroes, just as Izuku had his notebooks of his favorite heroes in Japan!
It almost felt like... meeting another fanboy.
And Gramps seemed all too glad to answer Izuku's question, giving him a content smile before closing his eyes in tranquility.
"To me? A hero can only be the coolest person!"
A question mark appeared over Izuku as he tilted his head.
"The... coolest?"
"What kind of answer is that?" Daigoro deadpanned.
"Sh! Let him continue!" Yoichi admonished him.
Gramps nodded to Izuku, not opening his tranquil eyes.
"If anyone has the right to be called a hero, it's not the one who took up the blade. It's not the one who raised his shield, nor the one who healed the wounded. Only one man who truly risks his life can be called a hero."
Izuku's eyes widened and filled with light, familiar words suddenly flashing by.
"When there is nothing to be gained, rising to the challenge at those times... is surely the mark... of a true hero!"
"Protect your friends, save the girl, and face danger. It doesn't matter if you fail. No, that's just fine. Cry your heart out over it. Within the defeat, a victor waits to emerge."
"If you feel yourself hitting up against your limit, remember for what cause you clench your fists... Remember why you started down this path, and let that memory carry you beyond your limit."
"Stay true to your wishes. Cry out your desires. And if you do..."
"Meddling when you don't need to..."
Gramps's smile turned into a grin.
"...that's what will make you the coolest hero!"
"...is the essence of being a hero!"
Gramps opened his arms outward.
"So let your longings burn! Scream out your wishes!"
"Go beyond... Plus Ultra!"
Izuku's eyes watered as he couldn't help but compare Gramps with his lifelong idol, once again reminding him of the people he had left behind.
He sniffled and moved his wrist to rub his eyes, only to hiss at the movements due to still being injured.
"Whoops, allow me." Gramps stood up and pulled out a handkerchief, wiping Izuku's eyes for him with a gentle gaze.
"S-Sorry. I've been told a lot that I get emotional easily..." Izuku admitted embarrassingly.
"There's nothing wrong with that; it just shows you're more expressive than others." Gramps chuckled, pulling the handkerchief back.
All Might's vestige projected a wave of sentiment to show Izuku he hadn't truly lost him, and it did help make him feel better. He still had a part of his mentor with him in a whole new world, and it filled him with relief to no end.
Still standing, Gramps pocketed his handkerchief and grabbed his chair to put it back.
"Well, it was very nice to meet you, Izuku. And I'm glad you're alright, but it appears that I've spent far too much time here avoiding my work."
"Huh?" Izuku glanced at the desk window and saw that the previously bright outside had taken a red hue. "It's sunset already!? I'm so sorry for wasting your time!"
Gramps released the bellowing laugh of an old man, hand on his hips.
"Wasting in my time? I did the complete opposite of that, kiddo! Talking to you has been great!"
"R-Really?" Izuku stammered.
"Do you STILL forget that people can actually like talking to you, kid?"
A punch echoed.
"Not now, Banjo!" Nana scolded him.
"Ouch..."
"It has! I'm excited to get to know you better, Izuku!" Gramps pointed a thumb at himself with a wink. "And I'll be sure to tell you more stories another day! For now, let's get you a proper dinner before you get some rest, alright?"
"U-Um-!" Izuku spoke up before Gramps could leave. "I-If it's not too much trouble, can I ask more about..."
"Magic?" Daigoro suggested.
"The geography?" Hikage recommended.
"The gods?" En advised.
"Any broken isekai skills you can get!?" Yoichi illuminated.
"About... Orario, I guess?" Izuku asked instead. He didn't want to just say about the 'world' after all, and Orario seemed to be the closest and most important place around. "I... I'm not really that, um... how do I say this...?"
"Geez, can you make it any more obvious that you're not from here?" Second sighed.
Izuku turned red. He had always sucked at lying.
But for the most part, Gramps hummed at him, seeming to know what he was gonna say.
"How about this, then?"
He raised his index finger at him.
"For every time I teach you something you wish to know, you'll spend time listening to my stories and wise words of wisdom."
Izuku blinked in confusion. Was this meant to be some sort of deal?
"Nine literally loses nothing from this," En muttered.
"I think that's the point. He just wants to share stories with him like any old man would do with his grandkids." Nana chuckled.
"Um, okay. I-I look forward to it." Izuku nodded.
Gramps let out a happy cheer.
"Whoopie! I'll surely pass down all my teachings to you, Izuku!"
"Eh?" Izuku tilted his head cutely. "Teachings of what?"
But Gramps was already out the door, hooting as it closed it behind him.
"That wasn't ominous at all." En deadpanned.
"We'll worry about that later. Now that we've got the chance, how are you feeling, Nine?" Nana asked.
Izuku glanced down at his bandaged body, although mostly covered in his bed sheet again.
"I feel surprisingly fine. It hurts when I move, but... it doesn't feel like anything is broken or missing, just bruised."
"Wow, those healing potions sound pretty great to have fixed your limbs too. I guess that means Gramps is right. You should be fine in another week or two."
Izuku felt relief at that. Despite the familiarity of being stuck in a bed, he's never really enjoyed staying in them for too long, despite how often he ends up in them in the first place.
"Okay, now that we know that Izuku is alright, let's talk about the fact that we've been isekai'd!" Yoichi cheered.
"HYPOTHETICALLY! This could all be some stupid elaborate prank! We can't possibly be in another world!" Third retorted.
"Are you trying to convince us or yourself?"
"You're... still calling me Izuku?"
The voices paused at the ninth holder's surprised voice, whose point made them realize Yoichi had called him that.
"Oh yeah, you just started calling him that, didn't you, Yoichi?" Daigoro asked.
For once, they heard a sheepish Yoichi speak.
"Er, well... I called him that since I had thought it was the end for us, but I guess it stuck with me? Is that... okay?"
Izuku smiled.
"I would be honored for all of you to call me by my first name."
"Oh, for real? We can finally stop doing that stupid thing where we call the current holder by their affiliated number?" Daigoro breathed in relief.
"How did that start, exactly?" En tilted his head.
"Don't know, don't care. I've always wanted to call you Izuku!" Nana glowed.
The boy chuckled.
"Can we please stop getting off track? If we're actually in another world, shouldn't we figure out just what to do here?" Second spoke up after having been silent for a long time.
While everyone else quieted in a stump, Yoichi's laugh reigned supreme.
"Isn't it obvious!? We find out what kind of world we're in and completely break it with One For All!"
Second immediately snarled.
"Did you already forget what happened to it!?"
Izuku felt all excitement deflate from Yoichi.
"Oh... right."
"Wait, what happened to One For All?" Izuku looked down at himself and tried to flare up his quirk.
Only for nothing to happen.
He went pale.
"Izuku, don't freak out!" Nana tried to calm him down.
"Wh-What happened!? I didn't lose it, did I!?" In a panic, Izuku immediately tried to use all his other quirks.
"Wait, don't-!"
Three things happened at once. One, Izuku started to float off his bed, albeit slowly. Two, purple smoke started spewing from him, and three, two black tendrils shot out from his wrists and flailed about. This resulted in him knocking away his bedsheets and slapping the small nightstand next to him, sending it along with the food and water tumbling onto the floor.
"Ah!" Izuku immediately turned off his quirks, falling about a foot back on the mattress, to which he made a choking sound and tensed as the impact stimulated his bruises. "Ow, ow, ow!"
"Good going, genius." Second face palmed while Daigoro laughed in the background.
"Ouch..." After the initial pain from the fall, Izuku spoke up. "I... I still have your quirks!?"
"Okay, now, if you would so kindly actually LISTEN, you'll know that you've only lost the stockpiled portion of One For All."
Izuku registered this information, throwing his thoughts in disarray.
"W-Wait! You're telling me I still have One For All but not all the power accumulated from it!?"
"It was what I was gonna tell you before the old man walked in." Second sighed.
"B-But how!? That was even possible!?"
"Remember what Shigaraki said before?" Third chimed in. "To activate that quirk he used, you had to hold a ton of power."
"And... that power was used as a cost to teleport me?" Izuku realized quick with wide eyes. "All of it!?"
"I imagine it requires a LOT of power to bend reality and send you to a completely different world," Hikage added his own two cents.
"Hypothetical different world." Third still didn't believe.
"B-But why do I still have your quirks!? Wasn't One For All's power reaching singularity what allowed me to gain access to them in the first place!?"
"Well, yes, but actually, no." Second started. "For the most part, we CHOSE when to give you access to our quirks, Nine-"
"Izuku." Hikage corrected.
"Shut up." Second scoffed. "Anyway, the stockpiled power just made it easier for you to access them since you constantly used One For All, which is a direct link between you and us. The larger the percentage you adjusted to, the easier it was for us to lend you our quirks. And even though you lost the stockpiled power, WE'RE still here, which means our quirks are, too. And since you've gotten so adjusted to using them, our familiarity and close connection should be making it easy for you to access them. It's the same reason you can still talk to us right now despite losing the power; through our prolonged exposure. Or at least that's what I think."
"Think of it like... a naked cat! You've known it for the entire time it had fur, and even when it loses it all, you still know the cat!"
"..."
"That's not how naked cats work, Banjo," Hikage whispered.
"It's not?"
Third facepalmed.
"Ignoring that stupid and inaccurate example, the baseline is that you still have our quirks, just without the power boost from One For All now that the stockpile is gone." Second sighed.
"So... How much weaker are they?" Izuku asked.
"When you used some of our quirks just now, did you notice anything different?" En questioned.
Izuku thought back to that moment not too long ago.
"I... Blackwhip doesn't seem as strong or malleable as it should be?"
"Not just that, but Smokescreen came out much slower and lighter. It'd probably take a minute to completely cover a large area rather than seconds like when you had the stockpile." En emphasized.
"And I'm sure you noticed, but Float didn't let you take off immediately as it should've in your panic." Nana sadly added her own downsides. "Before I got One For All, Float was slow. It felt more like having the ability to move in zero gravity. You can still use an initial push or something to launch at a higher starting velocity momentarily, but without the stockpiled power, you can't increase your speed using Float itself."
"I'm guessing I can't even use Gearshift to make up for that?" Izuku frowned.
Second sighed. "Nope. Even when I received One For All, it didn't do shit to my quirk since I was the first it was passed to. Sorry to say, kid, but Gearshift isn't that good now. You won't be able to use it on yourself anymore, just on small objects, with the largest size and density at most being golf balls."
Izuku was quiet, waiting for him to continue, but when he didn't, the boy blinked.
"Wait, thats it?"
A pause.
"What do you mean, that's it?"
"Even without being able to use it on myself, Gearshift is still an amazing quirk! Controlling the speed at which things accelerate while ignoring inertia is incredible! It gets around Newton's first law of motion! And with a high enough acceleration, you can turn anything small into a weapon!" Izuku rambled, actually being offended at having a quirk be undermined.
In quite a rare event, Second started sputtering.
"Wha-!? It isn't-!"
"Heh, what's wrong, Second? Didn't expect to be called out on your super awesome quirk that I've always TOLD you was awesome?" Yoichi said, easily hinting at his shit-eating grin.
"I-! Shut up!"
"Oho? Are you blushing right now, Second-?"
Izuku heard something akin to a war cry followed by tumbling.
"Huh, I haven't seen him do that since we were alive." Third muttered in surprise.
"Wait, he's reacted like this before?" Nana asked, shocked at the reaction.
"Usually when he gets really embarrassed."
"Third, shut up!" Second shouted while pummeling a cackling Yoichi down.
"Ah, my bad." He said as Daigoro couldn't stop laughing.
And in the meantime, Izuku couldn't help but feel... amazed. Actually, it'd be more accurate to say he was dumbfounded by the antics of the past holders. When he had first gained full communication with them, it had been after being hospitalized again after the first battle of the war, to which he had to leave U.A to avoid putting any of his friends in danger. And during that time, the vestiges had all been completely serious about the stakes of the world and tended to be reserved, besides Daigoro, who tended to be more expressive. But right now? It was like Izuku was watching completely new sides of the holders, especially Yoichi.
"Something on your mind, Izuku?" Nana asked, even as Second continued to chase First around.
"Huh? Oh! N-Nothing! It's just... this is kinda nice."
"Nice?"
Izuku's cheeks turned red. "I-I mean... All For One and Shigaraki are gone now, so Japan should be fine even without me. And seeing you all be more... expressive? Yeah, expressive... it's kinda nice."
"Well, you did finally end the struggle between One For All and All For One, so I guess we're just more relaxed, now. There's no longer anything at stake." Hikage said with a smile.
"Yeah. All that's left is to enjoy the rest of the ride with you." En nodded.
Izuku smiled at the thought, but something still bothered him.
"So... what do we do about One For All itself then?"
His question stopped Yoichi and Second's roughhousing.
"What do you want to do about it, Izuku?" Yoichi asked. "Try building back its full power?"
"Even assuming that Nine lives to his sixties or longer, it'd still be impossible to rebuild all that stockpile by then, not to mention there's not much of a point anymore." Third dismissed.
"He can still try, though. Nothing wrong with getting stronger, especially since we're in some foreign world."
"Hypothetically!"
"You're still on about that, Third?"
"But what about when he's reached old age? You thinking of passing it down to someone else and continuing the line, Izuku?" Daigoro asked.
"Please don't, I'd prefer to finally die." Second grumbled.
"I-I probably won't pass it," Izuku admitted. "I don't even know how it'd biologically affect someone in a world without quirks."
"Welp, in that case, just do whatever you want now, Izuku!" Daigoro beamed. "Save people, get a girl, build yourself a home, whatever makes you happy!"
But Izuku knew what'd make him happy; it was obvious.
"What about... finding a way home?"
A pause of silence.
"You think we'd be able to get back to Japan?" Hikage asked.
"Well... We did end up here from a quirk, so what's to say there aren't any other supernatural means that can bring us back? Gramps DID say that there are gods in this world, right?" Nana reaffirmed.
"Is that what you want, Izuku?"
Izuku saw his friends, he saw All Might, he saw everything he's ever fought to protect.
"More than anything."
...
"Then we'll be with you the entire step of the way." Yoichi smiled, and the rest of the vestiges unanimously agreed.
And so, Izuku had his next goal paved.
Zeus couldn't believe what he had found.
The old man couldn't stop grinning as he cooked a vegetable stew in his fireplace, thinking about the young boy he had discovered close to passing the previous day.
He hadn't known what to expect when that giant orb of white light suddenly appeared, but a bloody mess of a child definitely would've never been one of the considerations. He had been lucky that he had been close to the shack the village used as a medical bay, for if the child had been out any longer, he definitely wouldn't have made it.
And boy, was he glad to have saved him, and it wasn't just because the child was interesting; he'd never just leave someone innocent to die like that.
But to think, a child had appeared out of nowhere, a child that knew absolutely nothing about the world, a child that had been a hero in his own.
If any mortal had heard Izuku's claims, they would've taken one look at his small height and called him foolish, a clown. Someone who could only ever wish to be as he's spoken, and that he was only telling false tales to make himself seem as such, just like the Argonaut.
But Zeus had detected no lies.
And if that wasn't enough, he had seen Izuku's eyes.
When the boy had woken up, his emotions had been at their rawest form, and what he saw weren't the eyes of just any child. They were tired. As if he had carried a heavy burden that had worn him down for so long. But despite this, they were still full of light. They still held hope and the desire to do good, to do anything he deemed only right to do.
Izuku had been a hero, and if his bloodied form from before told him anything, he had been a hero going through constant hardship and danger for the sake of saving others.
'Because I can't stand looking at those in danger or in despair, I can't ignore people that just need someone to reach out to them at their darkest moments. I just want to help people, and the best way for me to do it is to be there for them.'
Each and every one of his words had been completely truthful and full of heart.
'I want to be able to save everyone with a smile, to be their hope when they think they've lost it all.'
And even when he didn't successfully save someone...
"But I'll always keep trying too."
He would never stop trying to save everyone.
Izuku was a boy who looked no older than sixteen at most, maybe even younger. And yet, he seemed to have gone through difficulty that most men wouldn't go through, ending up the way he had shown up. He had arrived looking like he had just fought for the fate of his loved ones or maybe even the entire world. But despite all his seeming troubles, the boy perfectly portrays himself as a pure, selfless young fellow who only wants to do good in the world and inspire others to do the same.
Again, just like the Argonaut.
Zeus laughed as he stood up from the fireplace, letting his stew simmer.
"That boy is already a hero at that age, but that age is already the perfect time to be a hero!"
So, on a day like any other, a god found a new source of entertainment: a hero that no one had ever heard of but definitely will with time.
Izuku will be the hero this world needs, just as he had been needed in the world before theirs.
And Zeus will tell him everything he has to offer; the tales of heroes, information on Orario, and especially how to gather himself quite the entourage.
A flash of deviousness took Zeus's eyes.
"I can't wait to teach you how to be the coolest hero, Izuku!"
And more importantly;
"You'll be swarming in beauties in no time!"
~{Author's Notes}~
Oh yeah, for the record, I haven't dove TOO deep in danmachi's lore yet, but I'm planning to read other things like the spinoffs or maybe even the light novels from the start, so sorry if I ended up writing something contradicting with canon's key events or something.
And another thing, about pairings, it'll definitely be an Izuku x harem (because of course) and for the most part, the plan would be for him to develop close interactions with most of the girls he meets. But that's if this fic gets enough support and I continue it.
But anyway, I hope you enjoyed reading this concept chapter, and let me know what you think about it and if you wanna see it continued!
Until next time!
