Sakuya's fourth birthday was approaching and with it came some terrible news.

"You will get the Caged Bird seal." Senko told her one night. Obviously Sakuya knew that this would happen eventually and she'd be lying if she said the thought of it didn't scare her. However even so, it hardly mattered all that much in her mind.

The Caged Bird seal, while it does destroy the Hyuga's eyes upon death or attempted extraction, then proceeds to fry their brain, the seal also allows Hyuga without the seal to inflict large amounts of pain onto the one who has it.

Luckily, at the moment only 5 Hyuga, not counting children under the age of 4, are free from the seal. Those being the head of the clan and his wife, two of the clan elders and the daughter of the main head, Hinata. Yeah Hinata was older than Sakuya, therefore already 4.

"Now don't think of it as a bad thing." Her mother said. "It's to protect us really." However, none of the older woman's words ever really convinced Sakuya because she knew the truth.

Even though the thought of essentially becoming a slave scared her, it really didn't bother her as much as it probably should have. Sakuya didn't understand why, but a thought came to her mind. 'Why should I be bothered? I'm me, obviously I'm going to be fine.' It was a cocky and arrogant thought that just sounded so unlike her.

It reminded her of times when she'd think back to her past life, if she remembers right, she was an orphan?

It's only been 3 years and 11 months, surely she hasn't forgotten so much already… Maybe it's due to the reincarnation.

Regardless, this was her last day without a slave seal on her forehead so Sakuya spent a lot of time in her room, staring at a mirror.

Slender and flexible, that's what her body type is like, same with most Hyuga. But it feels wrong in a way, but maybe that's just because she's still not used to it all. Sakuya raises her hand and looks at it.

No cuts, no scars, no bruises… It's perfect, the type of hand you'd find on a princess who's never worked a day in her life.

It's odd, being so small again. Looking back to the mirror, Sakuya questions if she'll ever get used to her eyes. They grew on her a bit but they just seem so wrong. She can't even use the Byakugan yet, and that's supposedly a sign of maturity for the Hyuga clan.

Once again, the thought of her objective flashes through her mind. Does she really need to do it? Sure the energy being never said she had to kill the gamer but still… "Ruin his life"? What does that even mean?

Sakuya has trained her cursed chakra a bit but with so little control over the energy to begin with, things were slow. She would try to push the cursed chakra into her eyes but with so little control over the dangerous energy, it may kill her.

Sighing, she got ready for bed.

The next day Senko was holding her hand as they made their way toward a building near the main house. Once they entered the building, they made their way to the room where the sealing would happen, Sakuya following her mother.

Finally they reached a door that Senko opened. On the inside, the room was dark with a table and scroll in front of a black circle on the ground. Next to the table was an older man, seemingly in his sixties, his face was neutral and stoic, the type of expression that could typically be expected of a Hyuga.

"Right on time." The man spoke. "If you can have the girl kneel in the sealing circle, we can get started." Senko looked towards her daughter in some concern, she knew from personal experience that what was about to happen would hurt.

As the girl's mother, Senko didn't want her child to go through this, but as a Hyuga, she knew she had to. So, gently Senko pushed her daughter forward.

Sakuya's blood went cold, her palms got sweaty, but she still made her way towards the circle, and kneeled inside it.

"This will be a bit painful, but shouldn't last more than a minute." The elder spoke as he picked up the scroll next to him. He went through a couple of hand signs before placing his hand on the sealing array present on the paper. His hand glowed for a second before he slammed his palm on Sakuya's forehead.

Immediately, pain shot through her, as if fish hooks pierced the back of her eye sockets and barbed wire coiled around her brain.

Blood flowed into her head, leaving the rest of her body cold. Sakuya's face grew red, and after a few seconds, she passed out and fell to the floor.

Senko ran to her and hugged the girl to her chest while the elder looked on as if nothing happened. Because truthfully, this was the normal response. It was normal for the child who's having this seal placed on them to just pass out. No four year old could handle that type of pain.

Sakuya's mother picked her up and brought her home, where she placed the girl in her bed.

"I'm sorry." The woman whispered. Senko truly didn't want her daughter to get the seal placed on her, but she couldn't do anything about it. If she ran, she'd die from her own seal. She couldn't tell the hokage because he couldn't interfere in clan matters. And she would never let the girl go out on her own in this dangerous world while still so young.

Senko hugged Sakuya and held onto the girl tightly. Why was she so weak? Why couldn't she help her own daughter? It was at this point more than ever that Senko wished she was a normal civilian. A civilian who didn't have anything to do with ninjas. But that was selfish of her, because if she wasn't a ninja, then Sakuya, the light of her life would never have been born.

"I wonder what you'll be." She muttered. "Maybe a medic? If you choose to be a doctor then you can stay in the village, safe, and away from danger."

No one really celebrated birthdays in the Hyuga clan. And Sakuya passed out nearly the entirety of her own, but Senko still had a present for her.

They sat at their kitchen table, a gift in the hands of the now four year old girl. It was rectangular, and heavy. They had a small cake off to the side, and Senko was smiling at the girl.

Slowly, Sakuya opened her gift, and she has never been more disappointed in either of her lives.

It was a biology book.

Now Sakuya liked many science subjects, but biology was not one of them. Actually she took three science classes in high school before, and between chemistry, physics, and biology, she had an easier time with the first two by far.

While she was looking blankly at her book, Senko frowned when she looked at Sakuya's face.

'Does she not like it? I get it's a book, but is she upset that it's not ninja tools?' So, the older woman decided to just ask her child.

"Is everything okay sweetie?" Sakuya looked up from the book towards her mother and nodded before setting the book off to the side.

Senko knew her daughter didn't like the gift, but she wanted to somehow convince the girl to become a medic. Sakuya had very good chakra control from what she could tell.

Meanwhile, Sakuya has similar yet completely different thoughts. 'Does she want me to become a med nin? My chakra control sucks, the only reason I got the leaf exercise down so easily isn't because I got it to stick to my forehead, it's because it's constantly being pushed onto my forehead.' The day after finding out how much chakra she was constantly wasting, Sakuya wondered how she managed the chakra leaf exercise so easily, only to find out that she didn't.

Unlike normal chakra, that would allow the leaf to stick to her. Sakuya's cursed chakra was pushing the leaf against her. This oddly enough made her technique simultaneously worse and better.

Better because she could use cursed chakra to affect localized gravity to a certain degree. Worse because she couldn't stick to anything which meant no water walking.

Back to the point about being a med nin though, Sakuya's chakra couldn't heal. Probably. Yet. Cursed energy and all.

The rest of the day was awkward between the two.

When Sakuya was walking around a pond near the front of the Hyuga compound, she found a girl kneeling next to the water with a stick in her hand. The girl had short dark blue hair that was nearly black, and the same pale eyes the rest of the clan had.

'What if I push her in?'

The thought crosses her mind but she shakes her head and ignores the idea.

The girl's hair resembled a bowl cut, and it honestly should not have been as cute as it looked.

"Hello?" Sakuya decides to talk to the girl. She hasn't actually talked to anyone this young in her new life, mostly because she was mentally an adult.

The girl flinches and stops slapping the water with a stick and looks over her shoulder at Sakuya.

"O-oh. Hello."

The girl's voice was meek, she seemed shy, and if the way she was fidgeting was any indication, nervous.

"My name is Sakuya, what's yours?" There wasn't really a need for the question. Sakuya knew who the girl was because of the nervousness alone, actually she was hoping this girl was who she thought it was.

"Oh, my name is H-Hinata." Hinata couldn't meet her eyes and just looked back to the pond where she kept slapping the stick against the water. Honestly it was quite amusing, maybe it was some type of chakra exercise?

"So, Hinata… What are you doing out here?" Sakuya nearly cursed herself because she failed to account for one simple fact when approaching the girl. They were both introverts.

"N-nothing really, just… Hitting water." Neither of them spoke after that, settling into a really awkward silence. Sakuya had the urge to just walk away, but instead sat next to Hinata and watched her hit the water with a stick.

Hinata for her part just kept hitting the water.

After only a minute Sakuya wanted to leave, but she sat down and if she left so soon after sitting down, it may make her look stupid or rude or something. Truly, human interaction was a complicated task.

After 30 minutes of sitting in silence, the water Hinata was hitting parted an inch from the tip of the stick. The girl sighed and sat back, leaning on her arms.

"So… What was that about?" Sakuya decided to start conversing again.

Hinata flinched when the other girl spoke, not realizing she was still there and thought for a moment. "That was to help with the gentle fist."

Sakuya raised an eyebrow confused before Hinata explained further. "W-well, I'm not really sure how it works, but father says it helps send chakra through solids." The two stared at each other some more, then Hinata looked down a bit.

…Sakuya just loved shy introverts, they were the cutest thing ever. Well some of them. Specifically only cute girls, pretty worked too but the shy factor worked best if they were cute.

So, as she sat before an adorable shy introverted girl, Sakuya had the urge to start hugging the girl to death.

Of course it was that moment when an older man, seemingly in his thirties walked up from behind them and spoke.

"Hinata, if you're sitting around, I trust that you completed the exercise?" Both the girls looked back at the man, and Hinata flinched when she saw him looking down at her.

"Y-yes father." She spoke softly, not looking into his eyes. The man looked at Sakuya, and raised an eyebrow before turning back to his daughter.

"Let's go then, you have more training to do." Hinata nodded and stood up. The man began to walk off, but she stood behind for a second.

"Bye." She said quietly before rushing off to follow her father.

Sakuya waved lazily as the duo left.

When the two were out of view, she looked back at the pond, then looked at the stick Hinata was smacking the water with.

"Help with the gentle fist huh?" She spoke before picking up the stick.

Sakuya ran her chakra through the piece of wood, and smacked the water with it.

The water split a lot more than just an inch which confused the girl. Hinata was whipping the water which hardly seemed to disturb it besides maybe a few ripples.

Raising her hand, Sakuya swiped her arm, then flicked her wrist just before the stick hit the pond. Unfortunately the water still parted, even more so than before but it was obviously her fault on that attempt.

On her next attempt, she swiped from a horizontal angle flicking her wrist down into the pond for a split second before pulling back. This caused the effect she wanted.

The water split only an inch from the tip of the stick.

Sakuya kept repeating this process until eventually she hardly needed to try to get the result she wanted.

In the end, her entertainment only ended because the stick broke.

'Is this what not having a phone does to me? I'm enjoying smacking water for fucks sake.' Looking up at the sky, her eyes widened. 'It's already night?'

She lost track of time. Perhaps only an hour or two passed, but she lost track of time due to something so stupid, the entire time she wasn't even thinking, just doing the same process over and over again.

Sakuya gently placed her hand on her forehead, feeling the cloth that covers it. She doesn't like wearing anything on her face. The thought of her skin oils soaking into the cloth only to be spread back onto her makes the girl shiver in disgust.

Not like she can do anything about that particular problem though. Maybe she can, but at the moment, Sakuya doesn't have a plan on getting rid of it. It's not like she doesn't want it gone, but there's nothing she can do right now.

She stands up and starts walking back to her home. Eventually she will need to confront these things. But once again, that same thought passes through her mind. The one that is so unlike her, the one that reeks of Arrogance. 'It'll all be fine, I can handle it, because I'm me.'

Author's Note: We'll be starting the academy next chapter. Also yup this chapter is longer than any of the others. Actually, is 2k words in 3 hours slow? I feel like it is.
