"Here's a thing about New Love, you have to feed it." ~~ Harley Quinn, Birds of Prey: And The Fantabulous Emancipation Of One Harley Quinn

Jennifer stumbles through the dark alley, hungry. At this point she doesn't care if she eats sluts, babies, or old ladies.

She spots a couple walking down an alley and her pupils dilate as she approaches them.

She was at the edge, where they spout her leaning agents the brick wall. They stop.

"No, come closer." She whispered.

She smirks as they continue their way to her.

Just a few more feet and she can have both. The cure guy and that girl too hot for him.

"Help! Someone help!"

Needy?

Jennifer turns her head and at this point the couple walked past her, their paces quickening at the cry.

"Pussies!" She hissed.

"Help me!"

Jennifer bolts to the direction of Needy's voice. Her path seems to fly by her as she focuses on where Teddy's cries came from.

At this point she cancer no more. And stops.

"Needy!" Jennifer screams.

Come one! Come one! She whips her head, her hearing apparently more sensitive.

She heard a grunt, signs of a struggle, a muffled cry. And wasted no time.

Jennifer finds herself out of the alley and into a first, the same forest where she was..

"Needy!" She cries, leaping off of branches, fearing the worst for her friend.

"Shit! Someone heard us."

Oh Jennifer heard them.
Her finely painted nails dug into the trunk of a tree as she peaks to see the band Low Shoulder surrounding a tied up and gagged Needy, the same knife that stabbed her is tracing Needy's cheek, neck, and chest.

"What do you say after we kill her we bury her with her friend."

"Yeah, but not after some fun. Corpses can't scream."

Needy screams, tears welling up.

Without compassion, the lead holds out the scroll.

Jennifer's first thought was to tear them limb from limb. She was beyond angry,. She was scared, and find herself frozen.

Move! Move!

It was as though shackles held her ankles to the ground. Her heart pounded and her head buzzed.

Cold, the Lead slaps Needy into silence. Then he removes her gauze.

"What's your name again?"

"A…Anita."

"What?!"

"Anita!" She chokes out sobs on this.

He turns to her, seeing her sob.

"Please!"

Anita sees him catching her eyes.

"You don't have to kill me! I'll do whatever you want! I'll…"

She pauses, she didn't want to, but either this or her life…

"No no no. I need you like this."

He put the gauze back on her and pats her head, a half assed attempt at soothing her.

"Think of this. You're doing a favor for us. We'll write a song about you in memory. Won't that be nice?"
Needy shakes her head, crying.

Jennifer almost stayed frozen, until the anger at the predatory gaze they have on her. Until the way he coldly says what he will do to Nee…Anita, the same thing he did to Jennifer. That has her take long quiet steps, avoiding the branches.

She's behind a tree now. Peaking. Waiting until the one with the stubble and thin mustache is a good distance from the bearded one next to him.

That was her chance to take his hand, cover his mouth, and pull him till he was behind the tree.

"Huh?" He said stupidly to her, alcohol breathed on her.

Jennifer composed herself from gagging. The smiles seductively as she removes his belt.

The Stupid One doesn't care where she came from, what she's seen, if he's met her before. He thought he was going to get pleasure. And as he leans back when she undid his pants…

She ripped out penis and tosses it aside. Covering his mouth with a bloody hand, Jennifer did not give herself away. The rest of the band briefly looks around but shrugs as he's gone.

Only Anita notices the penis, eyes widen, but silent.

Jennifer bites down on his neck, pinning him down as blood escapes her teeth that tears his flesh. He was silent, dead as she tears his limbs. Finishing with a wipe of her mouth.

That's what his friend, the Mustache With Parted Bangs, swears to hear as he approaches the tree she was hiding. He catches them, gaping.

Smiling, she grabs him and pushes him against a boulder, tearing out his stomach, liver, whatever the fuck biology said that major organ was. It's her dinner now.

Meanwhile, the remaining three, stop their ritual to look around.

"Dude! We gotta bail! There are wolves out!"

"Bullshit! We gotta do this now or we'll never get our end of the deal! The last bitch we killed gave us nothing!"

"Just kill her and we'll find someone else."

Anita struggles to get up.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

"Hello boys."

Jennifer steps from the shadows with a bloody smile.

"Jennifer?" Anita tries to say, voice muffled, scared.

"You! I thought you were…"

The Lead stumbles back.

"I just got back from Hell."

Jennifer grabs the Bearded One by the throat.

"You're bad boys." She spoke in that little infantilizing tone Anita knows too well.

"You must be punished." Jennifer's voice turns low.

Anita's eyes widen as Jennifer's own turn black.

Jennifer slams the Bearded One into a trunk. His back hits the splinters and his mouth stars bleeding.

"You bitch!"

Rude! She turns, hand already around the Mop Haired One's throat. He suggested having fun with Anita's corpse.

Looking him in the eye did not loosen her grip on him, even as his eyes turn red and his throat turns blue. He lets out a stifled cry. The Leader was gone for now.

Don't worry, I have plans for you.

Right now she relishes as a tear goes down the Mop Haired One's cheek.

"Please!" He chokes out.

She pulls him closer, leaning to whisper in his ear.

"Corpses can't scream." She whispers.

His eyes widen as she bites face, chewing off a chunk of his cheek. But the Bearded One had the nerve to tug at her hair, nearly making her choke.

Swallowing, she turns to him, ignoring the Mop Haired's pathetic cries as she dropped him.

Said Mop Hair crawls towards Anita, scared to scream again.

"Hel…hel…" he choked out.

Anita responded by kicking his face with her tennis shoes, right on the open wound. He crawled back, crying.

"Ah ah ah"

Jennifer's Louboutin heel stops on his back.

"I'm not finished with you yet."

Jennifer's finely blood painted nails dug into his back, ripping out his spine. The rest of him was consumed.

But not before she turns to Anita.

For a moment her eyes turn from black to the blue green Anita's so familiar with, her gaze softens.

"Look away Anita."

That was the first time in years she's called her by her name.

"Look away!"

Anita did after seeing those black eyes again. But when she peaked she could not look away.

Jennifer, her Jennifer, bit down more on his flesh. Tearing it open, she took out the organs to feast on them too. She even sucked the flesh from his bones as though they were chicken's.

He was still by the time she swallowed her last bite.

"I told you to look away."

Anita looked away, only to find the Bearded One choosing now to crawl away.

Anita's eyes widen as he carries the knife that they were going to use on her.

Anita turns back to Jennifer and screams out.

Jennifer lets out a breath, really full now, as she walks back to her.

"Relax, I'm coming."

Anita shakes her head as Jennifer crouches down to unbind her wrists. Anita took that time to rip the gauze out.

"He's got the knife!"

Jennifer turns to find the Bearded One limping away. She would have been unbothered had he not given it to the Leader.

"You!"

They turn to her. The Leader ditches his friend as he clutches the knife and scroll he retrieved.

"For the band!" The Bearded One calls before Jennifer grabs the back of his jacket.

She only impales him to a tree branch she picked up to end him with as she chases the Leader.

The Leader, in contrast to everyone, ran fast. Jennifer pants as he serpentine's his way through the woods.

"For fuck's sake!"

Jennifer follows, the torch light growing farther away. Relying on the moon proved to be useful as the trees were barren of leaves. And he was getting slower.

"Come back!" She took breath to call.

"I was going to be your Street Team!"

She scoffs as the leader bolts out of her view and choose to take her time walking.

Only to regret that as she find him with Anita, blade at her throat.

"Make one more move and I'll cut her throat!" He said, shaking

Anita grabs his arm but couldn't pull it down.

Jennifer freezes, cursing herself for taking that time to walk.

"Put the knife down."

"No! You listen to me bitch! We are getting out of here and you don't do anything."

Jennifer lets her teeth show, body hand out…

"Jen don't!"

Jennifer sees Anita's green eyes pleading her to comply, lest she be killed. She lowers her hand.

"Fine"

"That's right." The Leader smiles.

"You make one wrong move and I'll cut her throat."

As he steps back, clutching Anita, Jennifer follows but doesn't raise a hand.

He walks backwards, dragging Anita in toe, as Jennifer walks slowly, but keeping herself in Anita's view. He was taking them further back into town.

"You know you let us down." He dares to speak.

"We had it all planned out to just find one prude in this town and get ourselves out there! But no you had to ruin this for us by being a slut!"

Neither of the girls say anything about the labels. Though they locked eyes.

"And you had to come back and kill all my friends, and I have no one to work with!"

Jennifer tilts her head, pouting as she feigns guilt.

"Oh don't look at me like that! You brought this on yourself!"

The Leader moves the knife from Anita's throat to her back.

"I'lll get out of this batshit crazy town and find another virgin that can work with me!"

"Let Anita go." Jennifer replies coldly.

Anita freezes as the blade tears through her jacket.

He smiles.
"I don't think so, bitch!"

Jennifer's hand caught his wrist before he could stab her Anita. Her friend turns, finally free.

Jennifer smiles as she turns his hand up, making him drop the knife. On survival instinct, Anita picked it up, to his notice.

"Listen you gotta kill her."

Anita glances at Jennifer, her hand shaking as she clutches the blade.

"She's a monster! You gonna let her walk away like this?! After what we've seen?!"

Jennifer turns her gaze to Anita, eyes turning back human as guilt shows on her features.

"Look you can hate me all you want. Cross me out."

With her free hand, Jennifer draws an X.

"But I'm not letting this fucker go."

"NO!"

Whether it's she wants no more violence or she fears loosing her friend to whatever darkness she had, Anita drops the knife to grab her friend's hands.

They struggle.

"What are you doing?! They were going to…."

"I don't know what you are but this ends now!"

Jennifer pries her hands away from Anita's growling in frustration.

"I'm still your best friend!"

"Have you been? Have you ever been?!"

Jennifer stops to see Anita's eye well up. How many times has she hurt her and taken her for granted.

"'Nita…"

Jennifer's eyes widen as she sees the Leader coming towards them. She only had time to shove Anita to the ground, taking the blade for her.

"Jen!"

The Leader laughs as the knife has her in gut. Anita cries as Jennifer's head is lowered.

Tsk. Tsk. Tsk.

Jennifer looks up with a bloody smile. Prying the knife out of her gut, she breaks the Leader's new wrist as her stab wound heals.

Anita looks up, crying in relief. Then she sees Jennifer about to bite his head off.

"Jen!"

Pausing, Jennifer dramatically draws her. Head back before giving Anita an annoyed look.

"Cross. Out."

Jennifer looks as though she were taken to the candy store, smiling at her friend in thanks before biting the Leader's head off before he can scream, the rest of him becoming her final meal for the day.

Jennifer ends this with a lick of her fingers and teeth.

"I think I have his ears stuck between my teeth. Fuck."

Anita actually laughs at this.

Until Jennifer turns to her and crouches down, like a predator contemplating their next prey.

"Jen! Jen what I said… I meant…"

Jennifer picks Anita up bridal style.

"I know."

"Take me home?" Anita asks with hesitation, wrapping her arms around Jennifer's neck.

"As you wish."

By the time they snuck into Anita's room it past midnight. Anita couldn't even change. She just kicks her cute tennis shoes off and lies on the bed.
She find Jennifer halfway out the window, and remembers her parents were out for the day.

"Stay!"

Jennifer stops, turning back. The moon shines on her, blood and all.

"I don't want to be alone tonight."

Surprised, Jennifer re-enters and sits by Anita's bedside.

"I thought you were scared before."

"Scared shitless."

Anita scotches over as Jennifer sits by her.

"But not as before."

Jennifer snuggles as Anita rests her head on her shoulder, pulling the now messed up blanket over them.

"Aren't you going to tell me what's going on with you?"

"Maybe later. Too tired."

Anita yaws, no room for argument there.

"Alright, tomorrow."

"Anita?"

"Hmm?"

"I'm sorry for everything."

Anita looks up, that will have to wait for the morning. Right now she just wants to feel safe enough to sleep, and that's so far in Jennifer's arms.

The last thing she felt before drifting off were Jennifer's bloody planting a kiss on her messed up hair.
