"Lily GO! TAKE HARRY AND RUN!"

"James…" she sobbed. She knew there was nothing left to do but run. She ran upstairs, to the nursery, finding little 1 year old Harry, looking up at her. In an instant, Harry could tell that there was something wrong with his mother. Being 1, all Harry could put together was that his mom wasn't alright. He could also tell that this wasn't a time to cry. He possessed an unnatural aptitude, quite unlike a 1 year old. He stayed calm, not showing a single reaction, other than a slight smile, to comfort his mother.

Meanwhile, Lilly was thinking of a plan to escape…but she soon realized there was none. None except…sacrificial magic. It was an ancient, dangerous magic that her mother-in-law, Euphemia Potter, had taught her just a little bit of. She had an idea, the only plan that had even a sliver of a chance of keeping Harry alive. Downstairs, she could hear James trying his best to hold off Voldemort, and losing.

"Why," James pleaded. "Please, let us be. Why must you intend to harm us!"

"For more reasons than you know," Voldemort simply sneered, continuing onward.

Lily would have to work fast, before Voldemort could come upstairs. She took out her wand, and prayed to Lady Magic that she had correctly remembered what Euphemia had taught her. She started waving her wand in a complicated manner, hissing snake-like incantations at Harry, who had been silent and still all the while. Suddenly, she shut her eyes hard, still muttering incantations. A second later, she opened her eyes, revealing 2 ruby-red orbs, her irises circled with 3 tomoe-shaped black designs. Young Harry was taken aback by this sudden transformation, shocked to see his favorite, calming emerald eyes replaced by this raging and powerful irises. Her redhead hair looked more like an incensed fire, than a warming hearth. There was a different, not so subtle power that seemed to be radiating from her eyes, that Harry had never felt before. Still, he stayed silent, taking it all in quietly.

Lily, who had been hissing strange incantations, and moving her wand in curious ways, suddenly stopped. She brought her wand to her palm, and non-verbally sliced her skin open, just enough for a few drops of blood to leak out. She took the drops of blood, and let them drip onto Harry's forehead. Just a few. Harry, who was very weirded out by this cult-like ritual, stood still all the while, allowing it to happen because he trusted his mother. Suddenly, there was a bang at the staircase. Lily knew James had just been killed. But she didn't have time to mourn. 3 choked sobs wracked her body, and suddenly, her tomoe designs on her eyes merged into a black pinwheel against the red background of her eye. She cried out, before continuing to wave her wand. A few quick hurried incantations and wand movements later, Lily gained a translucent pink glow to her skin. There was a pink aura about her. She closed her eyes, opening them, and revealing her old, calm, comforting emerald green eyes. She took a deep breath and steeled herself. She was gaming on the fact that Voldemort worked alone, and therefore would not have enough trust or love in a person to ever use sacrificial magic. She was hoping he didn't know the intricacies, or the weaknesses of sacrificial magic. And this was her only hope. She had no other possible gameplan. She just had to hope that Voldemort didn't know that if he didn't kill Lily, Harry would have no protection. She had to hope that Voldemort wouldn't know that if he did kill Lily, Harry's protection would be very temporary, and that if Voldemort didn't attack Harry, he could wait out the protection, which only lasted a few minutes. But this was the only possible thing she could do, to stop the impossibly powerful force that was Voldemort.

Speaking of the Devil, Voldemort finally reached the nursery, standing on the landing, mere feet away from Lily, and baby Harry in his crib. He took in the pink aura around Lily, and simply raised his eyebrow. He didn't know what it was, but assumed it to be a weak protection spell. A sorry attempt at saving the life of her and the baby.

Lily knew she had to make Voldemort kill her. That she couldn't be body-binded, or simply moved aside, as the protection would only come into effect if Voldemort killed her.

"Step aside Lily," Voldemort said, his powerful voice just loud enough to command authority.

"Shut up you ash-faced, no-nosed, son of a twat!" she spat, trying to rile him up.

Voldemort wiped the spit of his face, shuddering in anger. "I'll ask you one more time. This is your very last chance…Move away," Voldemort said quietly, rage seeming to emanate from his voice.

Lily knew he was enraged, but she had to do one more thing, to push him over the edge. So, she suddenly jumped forward and…slapped him. Just leapt forward and smacked the shit out of him. Voldemort, who wasn't expecting this, stumbled back from the hit, reeling. But before Lily could even move her wand to capitalize on this, he hit her with a nonverbal Disarming Charm. He caught her wand, and cast a Protego, stopping her from moving forward again.

"HOLY SHIT!" he yelled. He let loose a stream of horrible expletives, many of which even he didn't know what he was saying.

"That was your last chance Lily!" he screamed, anger pouring out of his body. Who did this mudblood think she was, slapping him! He rubbed the sore red handprint on his cheek. "AVADA KEDAVRA!" he hissed, in that ghostly tone, as a jet of green light shot out of his wand, hitting Lily square in the chest. She fell backward, her head lying at the foot of Harry's crib.

Young, attentive Harry, knew his mother hadn't fallen asleep. She hadn't fainted. She had died before she had hit the ground. A high pitched whining sound rang out through Harry's head.

"And now," Voldemort hissed. "For you."

He stepped forward, brandishing his yew wand.

"Oh?" he questioned, taking note of the aura now surrounding Harry. A wispy smoke-like magical glow, similar to Lily's, but pure white, instead of pink. "Another feeble attempt at protection," he shooed it off, not knowing what it was. He pulled up his sleeves. The noise got louder. He raised his hand. The noise got louder.

"AVADA KEDAVRA!"

Time seemed to slow down, as the jet of green light shot out of the wand. Harry could see, as if in slow motion, Voldemort's face contorting, and the green light gradually coming toward him.

Suddenly, there was a rush of air, as the noise disappeared, as fast as it came. A whispered word, audible above all the wind…

"Sharingan…"

Time suddenly sped back up to normal. The jet of light zoomed toward Harry, who closed his eyes hard, scared. He heard a crash, and then silence. Curious, he slowly opened his eyes, looking around and not spotting the bad man anywhere. The mirror on the nightstand had fallen over, and shattered. Little shards of mirror were scattered on the floor. Harry looked at a piece of mirror, staring back with his red eyes, before turning around and- wait what? RED EYES? Harry did a double taking, looking back at the mirror, and seeing blood red eyes…similar to Lily's, but with only 1 tomoe. Suddenly, Harry was aware of a… power in his eyes. His head started pounding faster and faster, as a whispered word started echoing through his skull.

Sharingan…Sharingan…SHARINGAN!

Harry dropped unconscious as his psyche collapsed from the mental pressure, the last living survivor of the Potter family….

A.N: HAPPY NEW YEARS! (and also a late Christmas!) Meant to post on New Years Eve, but forgot in all the festivities, so I'm posting it on New Years Day. Hope you guys start off this year great! This is simply a test chapter. Gauging off your guys' reactions to this, I might actually make it an official story. So make sure to Follow, Favorite, and Review/Comment, and Vote too for my Wattpad readers!

IMPORTANT!: ok so Harry won't be crazy OP. If this story continues, he will be training to hopefully get on the level of Voldemort (with body) and Dumbledore. I'm trying to do more…head-on stuff to beat Voldemort, not some 'power of love' bullshit. I want the Sharingan to be 'the power he knows not.' That's why I used this sacrificial magic thing. But I made Lily use sacrificial magic and a little of something else…might be important later :) But Harry won't be pulling like Tsukuyomi's and Ameterasu's anytime soon.

YES, Lily did get the Mangekyou halfway throughout the chapter. However, owing to the fact that she just got it, she doesn't know how to use it, and there is so much at stake that she isn't going to risk Harry's life, by using a move she doesn't know anything about. So she just continued with the sacrificial magic.

So I know that Lily could have used Izanagi/Izanami, and that shit's just overpowered as hell, so I'm just going to say that Lily didn't know about it, and/or you can only use it if you have the Mangekyou Sharingan. That's probably just how it's going to be in this story.

Thanks guys!
