Inosuke opened the door, and standing in front of it were Gonpachiro and Monitsu, after letting them inside and catching up with them, it was soon nighttime, and as the old couple he had been staying with went to bed, he and his friends did the same, but just as we got in bed.

"Screeeeooooooack"

The roar of the monster that plagued the town caused Monitsu to go straight up into the air, his head nearly touching the roof before he landed, and when he did, he started dragging me and Gonpachiro towards the door. Naturally, I started twisting and turning, trying to get away, but Monitsu had a tight grip, and it wasn't until we were several blocks away that I broke free.

"You idiot Monitsu! Noone who hides inside during the night gets killed!"

At this, Monitsu paled. Then, something slimey landed on my shoulder, and it smelled sort of sweet? When I looked up, I saw the deceased body of a man who had, if the camera was any indication, been trying to get a picture of the monster, only to die to it. Then, the body went up violently.

"Run you fools!"

I shouted as I immediately started to run from the monster. The other 2 were shocked that I had chosen to run instead of fight.

After my feet caused me to take after Inosuke, I looked back in time to see the light post fall onto the ground, clearly cut off. Then, he noticed that the light sources, wether in the way or not, were cut down even if him, Zenitsu or Inosuke were closer. But before he could think of any reason why this was, a loud bellow came from right in front of him, and not only did he noticed he was now in the town park, which the townspeople had a massive forest instead of an actual park, but he also noticed the one-eyed figure that was easily as tall as Gyomei, and it had a horn on top of it's head. The ogre swung his massive club at Tanjiro, only to be hit by something from behind them and soar into the darkness. He decided to take this opportunity to run the other way, along with Zenitsu and Inosuke.

The ogre was dead, it hadn't even posed a challenge. They had ripped out their stomach and intestines, and they finished slurping up the ogre's large intestine like spaghetti. Them a cruel, sadistic smile appeared on their lips, as a malicious glint came to their 3 eyes. Then they dashed off, following after the scent of it's 3 most entertaining prey yet.

All three of them had managed to hide inside of a building, when suddenly a sharp whooshing noise went past them. Then, there was a strange whistling noise, right before the glass front doors shattered and a thud announcing the arrival of the hunter. Then, there was a low guttural sound as tapping revealed that they were looking for the hunted. As he was about to be moved before he was spotted, it suddenly reared back and let loose a horrifying screech before slamming into the display case he was hiding behind, causing it to fall on top of his foot, trapping the creature crawling on-top of it to prevent his escape.

'Agh! Should've told Monitsu about the warnings, now I'm going to get eaten!'

But before the creature could rip into his flesh, Gonpachiro's blade connected with the creature's neck, but to their shock, the blade snapped immediately, and the monster growled before lunging at Gonpachiro, who barely managed to get out of the way in time, causing the monster to barrel into a display cabinet, and allowing him to get free.

"Thanks Gonpachiro!"

"No proble-"

"So that is the name of the human that attacked me. Gonpachiro."

Turning around, he saw a horrifying sight. A creature with 3 stalks coming from it's head, each stalk having an eye, the head itself having a mouth filled with teeth in a massive smile that only made them look even more terrifying, blood covering some of their teeth and going down their jaw. Arms with claws designed for gripping and tearing flesh, legs designed to hit speeds terrifyingly fast quickly, and kick apart the buildings he had heard go above the clouds with ease. All in all, the monster matched only one creature he had ever read about when he was learning to read that was so terrifying , he could never forget it. An Altraosk was plaguing the town, and the only reason everyone wasn't dead yet was because it was toying with them, and it went after the lights first due to having a fear of light. So naturally, seeing something he feared just by reading about it, his fight or flight response kicked flight into overdrive, and he pegged it down the street, quickly followed by Gonpachiro and Monitsu.

"Reooaareiuek!"

The Altraosk roared before dashing after the trio, making sure to destroy every light in in his path. Eventually, the trio ended up on the last street with lights, where a man was walking down the road. Before Inosuke could call out to the man, a blackout occured and the Altraosk slammed into the man, ripped one of his arms out with their mouth, swallowed it and then proceeded to feed on the man's guts before biting his head off, ending the screams of terror and pain that had started the moment the man felt the Altraosk's claws peirce their flesh. When they were done, they vomited up the same slimy substance that was on the first victim the trio found. Then they turned their attention to them once more, only to suddenly be behind a demon that was about to rip off Monitsu's head, and rip theirs off. The body died at the same time due to the regeneration of the demon being overpowered in the single strike. Then, another Altraosk crashed into the street further away from them, and the Altraosk behind them rose to it's full height of 1.5x that if the average human being. Then, Monitsu shook his shoulder and let him now through this action that they could escape. So they took it, and the moment he rounded the corner, he heard 2 ear splitting roars.

With the exciting prey gone, he turned towards the youngster in front of him, recalling how they had invaded his territory, called him old, weak, slow. Tonight they would diem and they had all the experience they needed to do it. Suddenly he had his claws in A'kulhemio's chest, before ripping out his heart and crushing it.

"Damn you, *cough* Ba'holusk."

They managed before they fell over, dead. Now he could focus on his prey, finding them was easy due to their unique scent, but their scent was everywhere, so it was trouble to discern which was old and which was... fresh~

He turned the corner only to run into something. He looked up to see the flashing smile of Rengoku.

"Hello there young Hasibira! I heard there was a monster in this town and figured it was a demon, so I came to investigate!"

Rengoku declared.

"Mister Rengoku!"

Gonpachiro called, causing Rengoku to turn his head to address him, and as such, miss Inosuke's eyes widen in horror.

"Why are you here?"

Gonpachiro asked Rengoku. Before Rengoku could answer, Inosuke did for him.

"He's here to fight the one that wins."

He revealed, the fear in his voice shocking the hashira.

"Rengoku sensei! You shouldn't! You'll die with no effect!"

Gonpachiro begged the flame hashira, only for him to laugh.

"An excellent joke, young kamado, but it is close to sunlight! I shall-"

Rengoku wasn't allowed to finish as the Altraosk burst through the top floor of the building they were standing right next to.

"Found you! And a new prey at that! His scent would have many others regard him with caution, but I am an Altraosk!"

They declared with the same chilling tone as before.

As the demon landed, he took note of it's features, 3 eyes stalks, long arms with claws capable of gripping and tearing with ease, powerful leg muscles, and blood on their teeth.

"Nice sword. Think I'll keep it after I rip your head off."

The demons voice was so menacing, he felt his left leg start shaking. Instinctively, he jumped back when the demon was suddenly in his face, also dodging a swipe of their claws, which left a light scratch on his stomach. Before the battle could continue, the demon started to run away from him, then, he felt something rush past him and towards the demon before tackling it. Then, he saw a large lizard easily 3 quarters of his height, and it's teeth were digging into the demons leg. Then, more came out of the shadows, and they all converged on the demon, ripping it to pieces and devouring it. When they were done, one looked at him as if to say, try anything, and what happened to them happens to you. When he turned to the 3 demon slayers behind him, they were more shocked than he was.

Later on, Inosuke was able to explain just what it actually was that Rengoku had just survived.

What, you thought a hashira would be a match? No! They needed one of the extremely few things that were higher up on the food chain!
