Scribbled in blood across the solemn walls, the girl could only look on in horror, her hand cupped over her mouth, trying to hold back a scream. Her quivering fingers traced over the messy writing, the crimson ink smearing over her fingertips. Her body was trembling, the smell of freshly slaughtered corpses encased the small village. With thoughts racing, she only backed away, trying to recollect the events of the past few days....

*Flashback*

"No! You can't do this!" She shrieked, wrapping her delicate hands around his quivering arm. He roared viciously, throwing her down to the ground with a sickening thud. A thin line of scarlet trickled from her lower lip as her fear tinted eyes looked up at the monster she loved. He snarled, his canines bared as a sinister grin swept across his malice face. Crawling away, the girl sobbed under her breathe, not wanting to show the terror that sat within her. The snarling beast saw her trying to run away, but escape was futile. With a flying leap, the beast trampled the girl, pinning her against the earth, claws digging into the fear filled flesh. With eyes as crimson as the bloody slashes across his face, he grinned, seeing the fear in her eyes.

"I know you're afraid." He hissed, seeing the gentle fabric that caressed the girl's upper half was stained a beautiful scarlet and the emerald skirt was torn, holes and nicks spreading throughout it. Her pale silken skin owned its' own collection of scars, simple rifts in the skin that bubbled into thin, blood red lines, seeping out with the sweetly sour liquid. "Give into the fear..." The voice growled. He much enjoyed seeing her face sheathed in dread.

"Please...." She whispered, the tears ran in tiny rivers, cascading down her cheeks. She knew she could tame the beast within, if given the chance. She still saw the same look in this beast's eyes that she saw in the eyes of the man she loved. "Let me help you..."

Cupping his hands over his faces, he screamed in confusion, backing away from his prey. The gentle words of the girl had set him off, memories flickering. He stood, a slight arch in his back. He dugs his own claws into his scalp, not knowing hat was right and what was wrong. The voices told him to kill, but the gentle whisper of the fallen angel in front of him.

"Shut up!" He barked, the confusion of his surroundings setting in. He retreated, leaving the angel on the ground, blood engulfing the arm that housed the many deep gashes made by the claws of the monster. The ebony haired girl sat up, the blood gently caressing her face. She watched him run off into the distant night, rising to her feet. Cringing in pain, she sat back down again, the tears returning. The silent night was shattered by one word, spoken by the girl's harmonic voice.

"Inuyasha...."

*End Flashback*

She knew he was wandering, searching for himself, hopefully not in the destructive form that had massacred the village, but in the form of the kind creature who introduced her to the utopia she admired. Rereading the words over and over, one line stuck out.

Where are you? I need you......
