Josh looked at his watch, 1.20am, 'Happy Thanksgiving,' he thought to himself. He turned off his desk lamp, picked up his coat and backpack, and left his office. As he walked through the West Wing he noticed that Toby was office was open, with his coat still hung up. Toby was having a hard time at the moment, what with writing the inauguration speech and the extra work Sam three month break had created. Josh turned and walked to the Mural Room, where he knew Toby would be writing, and then burning the stuff he was unhappy with - he'd set the fire alarms off three times this week already.

"Hey," Josh said as he opened the door.

Toby looked up from the legal pad, "Hey."

"Happy Thanksgiving."

"What time is it?" Toby asked.

"Nearly 1.30. How come you're still here?"

"Lost track of time. You?"

"On my way home," Josh told him. "How's it going?"

"I hired someone to help."

"Yeah?" Josh asked.

"Well, it's more like voluntary work, but I said we'd pay for the hotel."

"Okay."

"I wasn't asking your permission," Toby replied grumpily.

Josh ignored the tone. "Come and have a drink," he told him.

"I've got to do this."

"It's nearly two months off, Toby. You'll get there," Josh reassured him.

"Yeah." Toby tore the top sheet off the pad and put his lighter to it, dropping the burning paper into the trash can.

"At least you've moved it away from a smoke detector," Josh commented. "Who'd you hire then?"

"Will Bailey," Toby said. "Sam sent him to me, apparently he thought I'd need help."

"I don't think it was a criticism."

"You knew he'd sent him?" Toby asked.

"Yeah I knew. Where is he then?"

"Sent him back to his hotel for some sleep," Toby replied. "What did you want?"

"Come and have a drink," Josh asked again.

"Happy Thanksgiving," CJ said from the doorway. "Has there been some kind of national emergency?" she asked

"Why?" Josh replied.

"Because it's 1.30 in the morning, Thanksgiving morning, and we're still at work."

"Then let's go and get drunk," Josh suggested.

"Yeah, okay," Toby agreed, standing and collecting his things.

"Toby," Josh said, pointing to the smoke that was rising from behind Toby's chair.

Toby poured a jug of water on the smoldering trash can. "Come on, I have alcohol in my office," he told them.

"Where's Donna?" CJ asked, as the three of them walked back to Toby's office.

"She's got a date," Josh replied.

"And you allowed that?" CJ grinned.

"Hey, I resent that," Josh tried not to smile. "I set it up."

"Oh my God," CJ laughed. "You know Joey would say about that don't you?"

"Meaning?"

"Misdirection, Joshua," CJ grinned.

"What does that mean?" he asked, following her to Toby's office

"Nothing at all, " she smiled.
