Okay, this is a sweet little fic that I just thought of. Heh, yeah... Actually, I've been dwelling on it for a day or two all ready. This is kinda like a songific, I guess. But it's got some words changed to fit the story. It's the song "Help Pour Out The Rain" by Buddy Jewell. And, yes, it's gonna have Yugi being in the place of Lacey, and Yami being the one "singing." Not really singing, but-- Oh, I'm confused. Just see what I've got! ^_^

Disclaimer: Um, nope. I don't own Yu-Gi-Oh! If I did, well... I'd be super dooper happy. :p

Yami and Yugi were walking down the sidewalk, back to their house at the gameshop.

~The moment was custom-made to order: I was walking with my hikari on our way through Domino.~

Yugi looked up at Yami, his innocent eyes filled with questions.

"Hey, Yami?" he asked. Yami turned his eyes to Yugi.

"Yes, Aibou?"

~And like children do, he started playing twenty questions, But I never could've guessed one would touch me to my soul.~

"Well, I've been thinking lately." Yugi looked down at the ground before turning back to Yami.

~He said: "Yami, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?" "Are we going there to visit, or are we going there to stay?" "Am I gonna see my Grandma; can I have a pair of wings?" "And do you think that God could use another Angel to help pour out the rain?"~

Yami quietly gasped at Yugi's questions. He hadn't expected his hikari to be so questionative about that kind of thing.

~Well, I won't lie: I pulled us both right over, And I sat there on the park bench trying to dry my misty eyes. And I whispered: "Lord, I wanna thank you for my hikari." " 'Cause your innocence that fills him often takes me by surprise."

Yugi tugged on Yami's arm. "Yami, what's the matter?" he inquired worriedly. Yami just smiled at him.

"Nothing, Yugi. I'm fine."

~Like: "Yami, when we get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way?" "Are we going there to visit, or are we going there to stay?" "Am I gonna see my Grandma; can I have a pair of wings?" "And do you think that God could use another Angel to help pour out the rain?"

"Let's go home," Yami told Yugi, who just nodded and happily led the way.

By the time they got home, it was a little later than expected, considering they'd stopped by a little card shop to look around. Yugi went into his room and sat on his bed.

"Time for sleep, Yugi," Yami said as he entered. Yugi just smiled and nodded, climbing under the covers and closing his eyes.

~Well, I thought about it later on, And a smile came to my face. And when I tucked him into bed, I got down on my knees and prayed.~

Yami gently tucked Yugi into bed, pushing aside some stray strands of his bangs. Then, the pharoah quietly sat beside Yugi's bed and started thinking...

~Lord, when I get to Heaven, can I taste the Milky Way? I don't wannt come to visit, 'cause I'm coming home to stay. And I can't wait to see my family and meet Jesus face to face.~

Yami smiled as Yugi sighed peacefully.

~And do you think, Lord, you could use just one more Angel To help pour out the rain?~

The end!

Well, I know that it's a little different, and I'm not sure about Yami's over-all religion, but as soon as I heard that song, I thought, "Hey! That'd make a cute idea for Yugi and Yami!" And so, here it is. It's a country song by Buddy Jewell, as I've said before. And it's just so sweet that he wrote it for his little girl. Yeah, I don't own this song either. Too bad. It's one of my favorites. ^_^ Hasta Luego! ~NeptuneLily~
