A SUPERHERO'S WEAKNESS
"Man, is there nothing you're afraid of, Grissom?" Nick exclaimed in awe as the team continued to tease the supervisor about his latest headline-worthy escapade.
Grissom gave Nick one of his patented 'Grissom looks' over the rim of his glasses and sighed, "You would've done the same thing."
"Yeah but not with so much..."
"Pizazz!" Greg finished for Nick, complete with hand actions for emphasis.
"They're right, Grissom. Everyone in the lab's talking about it." Sara offered with a teasing chuckle.
"I almost expected your headshot on the front page today with the headline," Warrick held up the newspaper, "'Local CSI Saves 2 Children From Serial Killer'"
Nick laughed as Grissom shook his head helplessly, "Face it, Boss, you're like a superhero now."
"No way, he's *better* than a superhero. Even Superman and Batman have weaknesses. Grissom doesn't." Greg said sincerely with a touch of kissing-ass in his voice.
"Alright guys, if you don't want Mr. SuperCSI here to kick your asses then get to work!" Catherine said with a straight face. Once the others had cleared the room, she slowly turned to Grissom with a smile on her face.
"Not you too..." He groaned, shaking his head.
"Oh c'mon, will you just let us have some fun? It's not everyday we get to see you play superhero to children."
"Any normal person would've done the same thing I did, Catherine. It was nothing."
"You saved 2 lives, Grissom. That's not nothing."
She cut him off before he could protest in humility some more, "Well either way, you'll always be *my* superhero." Leaning over, she gave him a quick kiss on the cheek and hopped off the couch.
Before he could process what had happened, Catherine had already left the room. He shook his head and smiled to himself as he thought, "Catherine Willows: my one and only weakness."
