Say Goodbye

Mary Camden sighed heavily. Looking at her younger sister's grave seemed to break her heart. She missed her so much. She wished she had never died in that car accident. On the grave it read: "Ruthie Camden, May 16th 1990- November 12th 2002."

Mary once again sighed, and pushed her long brown hair behind her ear. A single tear rolled down her cheek. She missed Ruthie so much. Wishing to hug her little sister and hold her in her arms and tell her it's all right. But it wasn't, Mary's life was now slowly being taken over by a deep dark sadness. Sighing once again she remembered young Ruthie.

Flash Back

"Mary, Mary!" A little 8-year-old Ruthie called.

"What is it kiddo?" 16-year-old Mary Camden asked.

"Look at the picture I made, isn't it pretty?" Ruthie asked holding up a picture of a red daisy.

"Yeah, it's beautiful." Mary told her.

"Thanks Mary, you're the best sister ever!" Ruthie said happily.

"So are you kiddo." Mary said, and hugged her little sister tightly.

End Of Flash Back

Mary really wished Ruthie were by her side; she missed her so much. She wished she'd never gotten into that accident. She still remembered the awful words of the doctor.

Flash Back

Every one gathered in the hospital waiting room. There had been an accident involving Eric, Lucy, and Ruthie. The doctor came out of the emergency room.

"Well, they were in a pretty bad crash. Eric Camden has a concussion and will be a bit slow. Lucy broke her arm. And as for Ruthie, I'm sorry to say that she didn't make it." Said the doctor.

The whole room was filled with a sad silence as the Camden family mourned the loss of Ruthie.

End Of Flash Back

Mary felt tears coming to her eyes. She broke down crying. Once again she sighed sadly and said to Ruthie, hoping she'd hear from the heavens above.

"I miss you kiddo."

Meanwhile in the cemetery, a young girl about 12 or 13 years old was watching over Mary and said.

"I miss you too."

The girl disappeared in thin air. Mary stood by Ruthie's grave for a few more minutes. Then she walked out of the cemetery knowing that no matter what she'd have to say goodbye to Ruthie, and she'd always be in her heart.

{Sometimes goodbye though it hurts in your heart is the only way for destiny
Sometimes goodbye though it hurts is the only way now for you and me
Though its the hardest thing to say
I'll miss your love in every way
So say goodbye
But don't you cry
Cause true love never dies}
