Harm really wasn't paying attention to Mattie; his thoughts still on Jen's comment. "Can I call you back in a few? There's something that I have to take care of before it's too late."

"…sure." Mattie replied questioningly.

"Okay thanks." Harm hung up and sprinted down the stairs and out the door. "Mac!" He called as she was about to shut her door.

Mac got back out. "What is it?"

"Tomorrow night?"

"What?"

"Let me you take you out…as an apology?"

Mac laughed. "Taking me out? You make it sound like a date."

"What do you say?"

Mac's laughter stopped. "A…date?"

He nodded, trying not to hold his breath.

Mac stood silently for what felt like ages before relenting. "What time?"

Harm's flyboy grin spread across his face in full force. "Pick you up at 1900?"

"It's a date." She didn't think it was possible, but he grinned even more.

"See you then."

Mac nodded and got into her car.

Harm shut her door and waved as she drove off, a bounce in his step as he went to his 'vette.' "I'm showing interest now, Marine. The ball's in your court now."
