Dawn sighed, turned the gift over in her hand, and ran her fingers lightly over the name tag, wondering if this was such a good idea. Throwing it across the room, she jumped with start as the doorbell went. Knowing it was for her, and that no one else would get it, she dragged herself to the from the couch to answer it, knowing it was Faith on the other side.

"Hey," Leading the way, Faith bounced past, as if on energy pills and caffeine combined. Going over, Dawn picked up the now-dented box, and held it out to the Slayer. "It's kinda shitty, and I didn't know if if it's the kinda thing you'd use, but when I asked Buffy what you'd want, she just snorted and said personalized sex toys, so..." Shrugging, the girl thrust it into Faith's hands.

"It's not a bomb, is it?" She teased the younger Summers girl, holding it up to her ear, then plopping down onto the sofa and tearing off the paper, eagerly, to see what it was. Gasping, she held the dainty silver chain up to the light so she could read the inscription on the tiny wooden stake charm. "Aww, Dawnie..."

"Look, I told you it was crappy. And no one else would help me." Shrugging again, this time much more dejectedly, she let out the breath she had been holding.

"It's great, Dawn. Actually, it's the nicest thing anyone has ever gotten me." Dawn raised an eyebrow.

"Big deal. You told me that all you ever got for gifts were old magazines and cheep dollar store things from your mom when you were a kid."

"That's not the point. I love it."

"I made the stake myself." Dawn offered. "So," she started, changing the subject, "What'd you get me?" Smirking evilly, Faith wiggled her eyebrows.

"Remember those toys big sis mentioned? I know the best place to get 'em."
