A/N: Seriously, this it shit. It took me not even five minutes to write this and it starts in the middle of something and it's just...yeah, it's really bad. The only reason I'm even putting this up is so Cara doesn't yell at me. ;) Just playing around, chic. So review if you really want to.

Stick Around

"Put the knife down, Lily," James said calmly, inching closer to his redheaded friend.

"Don't come closer, James," Lily said warningly. "I swear I'll do it. Put yours down first." James looked down at his hand and the razor that it held. "If you wanna die I'm going too, James." James looked back up at Lily and through the blade into the bathtub.

"There," he said. "Are you happy now? Now it's your turn. Go." Breathing raggedly, Lily dropped the knife that she had been holding to her own throat onto the floor with a clatter and collapsed. James was at her side instantaneously. "Lily, are you insane?" he asked, truly worried that she was. She looked up into his face and, without warning, smacked him. "Ow! What the hell was that for?"

"Do you actually have to ask that?" Lily shouted at James. "You...you...YOU SCARED THE SHIT OUT OF ME! What if I had come in here fifteen minutes from now? Would I have found you on the floor like I found Nick three weeks ago?"

"Lily, keep it down," James said. "I'm sorry."

"Sorry doesn't cut it, James," Lily said, but quietly this time. "I would have killed myself."

"Lils..." James didn't know what to say.

"You mean so much to me, James. You're my *best friend*! Finding Nick was stressful enough, but you...you're always so happy. If you have problems why don't you talk about them?"

"Lils, I just..." James sighed. "I don't know, okay? I'm sorry."

"I just...I just feel like everyone's leaving me at once and I can't take it anymore."

After a few minutes of silence during which Lily was silently crying, James finally opened his mouth.

"I'm not gonna leave you, Lily...I'm just a little messed up right now is all. I'm gonna stick around for you, don't you worry...don't you worry."

The End

A/N: I should stop writing when I have writer's block.
