INTERLUDE III

Well, I suppose that was the worst part of this sordid tale. All of you hiding under the couch, you can come out now.

It's the middle of the night here where I am, and my neighbour's been on my back for a while now to quit yapping and let her get some sleep, so I guess I should call it a night. I'll get started on the last leg of this trip down memory lane in the morning.

I just hope I'll be able to get any sleep myself, y'know. Nothing like rehashing the past to stir up those jolly nightmares. It's a good thing that we Slayers are designed to go on little to no sleep, because I haven't been catching a whole lot of shut-eye lately. So that's guilt, huh? I wish I'd never started feeling it, because I'm learning that once it's there, it never really goes away...

*yawn*

Good night. Don't let the bed bugs bite... or the vamps, for that matter.

In a perfect world, I would own the series 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' and 'Angel'. Alas, it is not, and I bow my head to Joss Whedon and Mutant Enemy. Ah, well. It's probably for the best, me not having a contract to put the show on the air and all.

A special thanks to Paul Leone and Teresa Owens, from whose story 'The Deliverer' I nicked the name of Faith's Watcher, though not the character.
