The crack of a whip

The crack of a whip

Prologue:

Lily quickly stumbled through the platform 9 3/4 so she wouldn't draw attention to herself. "Hey, Lily!" someone called out so suddenly that she crashed into the nearest post with her arm. Darn! Sirius pried himself from his girl admirers and rushed over to greet Lily. "Hi…Lily" breathed Sirius between gasps for air. Lily refused to look up at him, instead, she turned up her pace and ran onto the scarlet steam engine, also know as The Hogwarts Express. Sirius didn't bother running after her, he knew something was bothering her. What's with her? Thought Sirius solemnly as he walked back into the crowd.

A/n: That was just to get you thinking these questions. I wonder what this story is about? Well here's the story. This is a sad, sad story that I am about to type. This will come in…installments. I will be gone until Wednesday of this coming week

"IS THAT NOT ENOUGH? DO YOU WANT MORE?" roared Mr. Evans whilst glaring down at his daughter. Lily cried out in agony, "No!" she pleaded, afraid of the cracking sound. "What did you say? Yes, you want more?" asked Mr. Evans, still looking down upon Lily. "No!" Lily cried in fear. Mr. Evans did not seem pleased. "Yes, you want more? Here it comes!" he yelled angrily, thrashing the belt upon Lily's back. Lily yelled in pain as the belt kept striking on her bare, delicate skin. "I don't want anymore" Lily cried through her blindness of tears, "No more, please" she mumbled as she fell into slumber from crying.

Lily awoke with a start. That seemed like just yesterday. She lifted her shirt a bit and felt the tender scars laced upon her back. She slowly arose and walked over to the dormitory mirror. She gazed into the mirror; A face was starring straight back at her. The face had gloom hanging above her, scars were woven upon her neck, and a bandage was secured tightly around her wrist. Lily sighed into the frame of the mirror. No one knows, but father, Petunia, and I. She shivered as she recalled the torturous memories. "I just wish there were someway to tell my friends" muttered Lily, quietly as she climbed back in bed to sleep some more.

A/n: And there you have it. The prologue! Tell me if this is any good to continue!
