At the Beginning with You

A/N: I decided to revamp and rewrite the story. This may sound a bit Disneyish, but I have a point, sometime throughout the story characters will burst out into song. Don't hate me and please continue reading. Each song has a point. (Kinda like BTVS's Once More With Feeling). Set after BTVS season 7 and HP 5. I own NOTHING!

Summary: The Scoobies get a letter asking them to come to Hogwarts. Harry is depressed after the death of Sirius. Can Buffy and the gang protect Harry from the evil of his world while staving off their own problems? (Not perfect summary, but not sure how else to word this without giving away the plot)

Chapter 1: Fire Bad

Buffy Summers sat with Dawn, and Willow, in Giles's flat in Bath. They sat chatting while eating frozen dinners. Giles was currently up on the phone with Xander working on setting up a new Watchers council. Since Giles was the most senior Watcher alive, all funds and accounts went to him. Giles wanted the council on the outskirts of town instead of the center. That way they could have a field to train the newbie slayers in.

Buffy laughed when Giles moaned and took off his glasses to clean them. He shot her a glare and she relinquished her laugh. She then motioned to Willow and Dawn to follow her over to another room to leave Giles alone. They went onto the porch and sat down on the lounge chairs set up around there.

"Will, where's your better half?" asked Buffy.

Willow looked wide-eyed at her and said, "Excuse me? Since when is she my better half?"

Buffy grinned coyly and said, "Well, I don't know, maybe when she returned to you and saved you."

Willow stuck her tongue out at Buffy and then answered, "She's still blechy. I'm going to make her some tea in a little bit. Hopefully make her feel better."

"Oh, don't do too much with the delivering of the tea," joked Buffy.

"Again with the dirty tea talk."

Buffy faked looking hurt and then sighed. "I should probably go patrol. You never know when you find a nest of vamps lying around."

"B, I don't think they'd be lying around right now," joked Faith coming out to the patio.

Buffy rolled her blue eyes and asked, "Oh, so do you want to come along?"

"Would I? Do I ever pass up a chance to get hungry and horny?"

Dawn shuddered deeply at this muttering "Too much info, way, way, way too much info."

The quartet of girls laughed, and then headed off in their separate directions. Willow to make tea for her 'patient'. Dawn went to see what was on TV. Faith and Buffy went in and got stakes and swords then went out to patrol.

When the tea was done, Willow took it up to her room and walked in. she set the tea down on the bedside table and rubbed the sleeping beauty awake. "Hey Tara, can you get up?"

"What is it Willow?" asked Tara.

"I have some tea for you."

Tara sat up against the headboard and accepted the tea when Willow handed it to her. She took a sip and it scalded her throat. She looked at Willow and muttered a small, "thanks."

"So are you feeling any better?"

"A little. What's everyone doing?"

"Well Giles is arguing with Xander about the plans for the new council. Buffy and Faith are out on patrol, Dawn's watching TV."

"Oh, so anything new in Bath we should be worried about?" she asked straightening up.

"Nope, the only thing I want you to worry about is getting better."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive. There are not big bads we have to worry about now, so you just relax and drink your tea."

Tara nodded and returned to her previous position. Willow curled up next to her and sighed. "This is a nice night. Do you feel up to sitting out on the patio?"

Tara looked down to her and said, "I might as well try. It can't hurt can it?"

"No, I don't think it can. Do you want some help?"

Tara nodded and accepted Willow's arm as they walked slowly down the stairs. They went out on the patio and sat next to each other on a chair. Willow's shoulder supporting Tara's head.

Willow heard Tara softly sing, "Could stay awake just to hear you breathing, Watch you smile while you are sleeping, While you're far away and dreaming, I could spend my life in this sweet surrender, I could stay lost in this moment forever, Well, every moment spent with you, Is a moment I treasure, I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep,
'Cause I'd miss you, baby, And I don't wanna miss a thing,"

Willow allowed herself to glow at this as Tara went on, "'Cause even when I dream of you, The sweetest dream would never do, I'd still miss you, baby, And I don't wanna miss a thing, Lying close to you, Feeling your heart beating, And I'm wondering what you're dreaming, Wondering if it's me you're seeing, Then I kiss your eyes and thank God we're together, And I just wanna stay with you, In this moment forever, forever and ever, I don't wanna close my eyes, I don't wanna fall asleep,' Cause I'd miss you, baby."

Willow looked down at Tara and placed a soft kiss on her lips. "Thank you Tara." They then went back to watching the stars parade across the sky.

Harry James Potter sat on his bed looking at the despicable book from last years DADA class. He grinned maliciously as he crept out of his room, down the stairs and out onto the street.

He made it to the park and set the book down in the middle of the sandbox. He took out a few matches and proceeded to set the book on fire. He sat back and watched the cover and contents burn in a dance of orange and yellow. As it burned, he envisioned Umbridge trapped in the fire.

He then yelled into it, "That's what you get you bitch. You cost me my godfather. I hope you burn in hell!"

He sat there watching the flames consume the book and enjoyed his mental images. He also didn't mind being away from his guardians and the warmth of the fire was inviting.

Soon his images died away and just enjoyed the memoires the open fire brought to him, mainly him, Ron and Hermione sitting in Gryffindor Common room talking and relaxing.

Faith and Buffy were walking down a street looking for some action. So far they'd only found a few vamps here and there. Not much fun for the senior slayers. Soon they began getting anxious.

Suddenly Buffy saw a strange glow coming through the woods. "Faith," she started.

"Yeah B, I see it." came the reply.

"Fire bad."

"Yeah, I get that, now lets go see what it is."

They both tore off for the woods. They ran through the woods, dodging animals, tree trunks, roots, and trees. When they got through the forest, they saw a park a few yards ahead of them.

The fire was coming from there.

They went there and saw a burning book and a kid sitting next to it, staring intently into the flames.

I know it's a short chapter, but I know they will get longer. I hope you liked the rewrite and you will review. Thanks all! If anyone would like to beta my story, let me know by e-mailing me at the e-mail in my profile! Any response (beta favored) would be appreciated.
