They'll never know

He'd never know.

He'd never know how much she worried about him. Whenever he went for the Sorcerer's Stone, or when he was the fourth champion, or when he went to save Sirius, she was worried beyond reason that she would lose him.

Worries he'd never know.

He'd never know how much she cared for him. When he carried her books, or when he worried that she was working to hard, or when he smiled and met her eyes with his comforting green gaze, she felt her heart swell with love for him.

Love he'd never know.

He'd never know how badly she was hurt when he went out with Cho, or when he took Parvati to the ball, or when he kissed Ginny. He'd never know how desperately she wanted to be in that girl's place. He'd never know how badly she wanted him to like her, how much she wanted to be with him.

He'd never know how much she truly loved him.

He'd never know she loved him.

He'd never know.

*~*~*

She'd never know.

She'd never know how concerned he was for her. When she worked so hard on her school work, or when she immersed herself in books, or when she wafted around the school listlessly, only being there in body, he was concerned whether she was alright or not, and whether she was happy.

Concerns she'd never know.

She'd never know how much he appreciated her. When she worried about him, or when she cheered him on in Quidditch, or whenever she hugged him no matter what the occasion, he felt enraptured with her, and felt how much he loved her.

Love she'd never know.

She'd never know how badly it stung when she wrote to Krum, or when she laughed with Ernie after Arithmancy, or when she kissed Ron on the cheek. She'd never know how badly he wanted to be the only one she wrote to, the only one she laughed with, the only one she kissed. She'd never know how much he wanted her to return her feelings, how much he wanted to be with her.

She'd never know how much he truly loved her.

She'd never know he loved her.

She'd never know.

*~*~*

They'd never know.

They'd never know how much they fret over the other. He'd watched her helping him with the Triwizard tournament so he wouldn't get hurt. He watched him reassure her that she wouldn't fail her OWL's, and that she should get some sleep. He'd watched them protect each other, putting the other in front of themselves.

Frets they'd never know.

They'd never know how much the cared each other. He'd watched them as they went about. When he was doing his divination chart, he'd watched him gaze at her as she was doing her potions. While he was keeping the Quaffle away, he'd seen her moon over him when he was after the snitch.

Cares they'd never know.

They'd never know how jealous they were when the other interfaced with the opposite sex. He'd watched him glare at him when she kissed him on the cheek. He'd watched her wander around aimlessly after he had asked Cho out.

He'd watched them, and he knew.

They'd never know how perfect they were for each other.

They'd never know how much they truly loved one another.

They'd never know they loved each other.

They'd never know.
