Disclaimer: I don't own JK Rowling's characters or anything, nor the song this take Melody from. (In case your wondering that song is Mary did you know? A popular Christmas song). Some of the lyrics don't match the rhythm as originally written, so use your imagination if you so need to. It does fit, if you work around it a bit.

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Is the famous Harry Potter?

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Would save our sons and daughter?

Did you know,
That your baby boy,
Has come to help mankind?
And this child that you've delivered,
Will face horrors of all kind,

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Would need to learn Patronus?

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Would be thrown into this chaos?

Did you know,
That your baby boy,
Has walked where monsters tread?
And when you kiss your little baby,
You mark a scar upon his head,

Lily did you know,
Oh, Lily did you know?

The weak will grow,
His friends will stand,
The dead will be recalled!
His foes will fall,
And so might he,
But he will rise again!

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Is neglected by your sister?

Lily did you know,
That your baby boy,
Is rejected by the Minister?

Did you know,
That your baby boy,
Your love to whom you give,
And the sleeping child you're holding,
Is the Boy Who Lived?

A/N: I know this doesn't have a real story to it, but a lot of friends have told me to post it, since I've changed the context as much as I have. Funny story: I sang this while one of my roommies signed it (as in sign language) and performed it for our other two roommates, who we got to cry! That was the whole point too!

If you have a beef with the choice of wording, think about it and all the things it could mean. I'm having a Trelawny moment, seeing people not getting a certain line in here, just think about it and it'll come....hopefully.

I thought this was a touching idea, and I hope you'll agree. Please though, don't waste my mailbox by telling me that this isn't a true songfic, because I know…thanks, but you are free to review what you thought about it how it is!
