Kelsey: You were right, I made a horrible mistake!!! blushIt is Oropher!! I'd make the excuse that I was really tired but I don't think you'd be the kind of person to take excuses.

When I had one of the twins say Elfling, I wasn't referring it to human age and stuff. I've never really looked it up, but I believe Elladan and Elrohir were a few thousand years older than Legolas, therefore making Legolas an Elfling in their eyes. I may be wrong in this assumption, but that's why they call it fiction!

If I guesstimated correctly, Legolas was born around the time of the Last Alliance - so the end of the 2nd Age, beginning of the 3rd. Nobody knows when his real birthday is, but they do say he's close to 3000 years old in age. And supposedly, after Isildur (sp?) kept the ring for himself, he died and the Ring was lost for 2500 years or so, then Gollum found it and kept if for 500 years. Then Bilbo found it and kept it for, what was it? 70 years? I'm not too sure on that one. Then Frodo kept for another 20 to 25 years didn't he? So that's about 3100 years by time the Fellowship actually set out on the Quest. I do admit, Legolas does not have the accurate age, but I really didn't think anybody would look so far into it! I admire your enthusiasm (no sarcasm meant.)

Thranduil would have given up hope of finding his child alive, but it doesn't hurt to wish does it? It has been many years (approx. 2000), but like I stated in the fic, all Elven Realms shut themselves off from one another, and Thranduil would bury the hurt of a missing child, but it would never go away. Legolas would have probably been killed, and I think Thranduil knew that, but I know if someone dies or is missing and thought dead, that person's relatives seek to find closure. Because of his refusal to interact with other races, Thranduil never fully believed he'd never see Legolas again. All he did was shove more dust on the problem and never really solved it. So when the twins show up, Thranduil gets a faint idea that if they somehow track down Legolas' kidnapper (unlikely, but still probable) and see what really happened, then he could finally move on. I'm not sure if I'm clear on this. I'm not to good at writing stuff down when my head is explaining it. Lol!

Oh by the way, did I really write Legolas was only kidnapped 20 years ago?? I'm pretty sure I meant 2000 years ago.

The story was rushed. It's been sitting nearly blank on my desktop for some time then I finally got some inspiration. I just wrote and posted; I didn't even spell check!! I'm beginning to see I can't do that anymore. I made a lot of mistakes! Now I really feel like the ditzy blonde that I am!

Thanks for pointing out all my errors. I'll try to detail my work a bit more.

As for the rest of my reviewers: I want to thank you all so much!! I don't have time to write you all personal notes like I did with Kelsey (I really needed to clarify some things with her), but your reviews really do mean a lot to me!! It'll be some time before I post another chapter. I still have another story that I need to work on, plus I really don't have much inspiration for "The Prophecy". I won't forget about you guys, I just won't have regular posting dates.

Luv
