All Buffy characters were created by Joss Whedon. Not me. I don't own "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)" either, the band Pink Floyd does.

Driving Dawn
by Zzilly14

Spike clutched the dashboard tightly as Dawn sped down the interstate.

"This is fun!" she exclaimed, turning the volume up on her Pink Floyd album. She then decided to sing along. "We don't need no education!"

"There's a car in front of you, Nibblet!"

"We don't need no thought control!"

"No dark sarcasm in the classroom!" Her head bounced to the rhythm.

He pointed at the lights flashing in the rearview mirror. "Do you want to get pulled over?"

Dawn stared at Spike. "Teacher, leave them kids alone!"

"Watch out!" he screamed as the car drifted into a van.

"I told you to stay on the small roads. But no, little Dawnie had to get on the interstate and drive like a bloody maniac and hurt my DeSoto."

"I'm sorry," she whispered quietly.

Spike sighed and touched her cheek. "Are you hurt?"

"I'll be fine."

He got out of the car and growled when he saw the extent of the damage.

"Bloody hell."

Dawn walked over to him, refusing to meet his gaze. "I'll pay for it."

"No... just promise me you won't ever get behind the wheel again... until you're thirty-five."

"Deal," she smiled as he embraced her.
