A Note From The Author: This is my first attempt at real HP fiction, so keep that in mind. It's kinda angsty, from Cho's point of view. There's a flashback, but I think you'll be able to tell where that starts and ends. Well, hope you like it and please review!
Memories of Love
Cho stared blankly at the wall of the train, lost to the world. Though she received both looks of pity and comforting words from friends, she remained oblivious to both. All she saw was Cedric's face, staring lifeless at her. All she heard was a grim-sounding Professor Sprout telling her that he was dead…
"Cho!" one of her friends said suddenly. "Snap out of it! He's dead. What good will putting yourself through this misery do?"
For the first time, Cho reacted to the words. She shook her head disdainfully and tears began to roll down her eyes. She couldn't just "snap out of it." She couldn't just forget her love and move on! Why wouldn't anyone understand?
The friend who had spoken suddenly looked ashamed. "I'm…sorry. I shouldn't have spoken like that. I know how much you liked him, Cho."
Cho only shook her head again, though in a gentler way. She didn't care how much anyone was sorry. Being sorry wouldn't do anything. It wouldn't bring him back to life; it wouldn't make the pain any easier. And she hadn't just liked him. She had loved him.
Now it was herself that she was angry at. All those times, never once had she told him how much she really did love him. Now it was too late. It would always be too late.

"Uh, Cho? There's something I wanted to ask you."
Cho looked up in surprise as the face of Cedric Diggory smiled nervously at her. "Yes?"
"Will you go to the ball with me?"
She stared into Cedric's gray eyes, full of hope. Though there were better-looking guys at Hogwarts, there was just something about him…
"I'd love to," she said, with an ear-to-ear grin.
…………………………………………
Cho sighed, as memories of Cedric floated in her mind. Opening up the dance at the Yule Ball with him. Sharing a midnight kiss by the lake. At first, her face took on a grieved expression at the painful memories. But, upon remembering a joke he'd made, Cho actually cracked a grin. One of her friends gasped. "Cho! You're…smiling."
"Yes I am," she said forcefully, with an even wider beam.
"But why?"
"Because the world is full of love. You just need to know where to look."
Cho laughed, for the first time in over a week. Her laugh, soft and hearty, echoed through the compartment. She had memories of love, after all. And they would have to be enough.
