He stood at the kitchen window watching the snow fall. The world always seemed perfect after a snowstorm; no trace of imperfection or injury. He wondered if his life could ever be like that, even after everything he'd done.
A quiet footstep and a touch brought him out of his reverie. He turned to see his pregnant wife at his side, her dark hair framing the gentle smile he adored.
